As the Catholic raised AOC beclowned herself to preach “solidarity” in a hijab to a male-only crowd, consider the meaning of female coverings in Islam:

And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest, and to display of their adornment only what is apparent, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to reveal their adornment except to their own husbands or fathers or husbands’ fathers, or their sons or their husbands’ sons, or their brothers or their brothers’ sons or sisters’ sons, or their women, or their slaves, or male attendants who lack desire, or children who know nothing of women’s nakedness. And do not let them stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And turn to Allah together, O believers, so that you may succeed. (Quran 24:31)

If a woman does not cover, she is fair game to be assaulted…

O prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their veils close around them. That will be better, so that they may be recognized and not molested. Allah is always forgiving, merciful. (Quran 33:59)

The leftist AOC, as typical of many leftists, fully supports female coverings in Islam, while simultaneously supporting liberation for women, which she equates with abortion. Feminists also fully support the most aggressive extremes of the LGBTQ movement, while allying themselves with Islamic supremacists and Muslim Brotherhood groups.

NEW YORK (LifeSiteNews) – Far-left Democrat U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York drew scrutiny for donning a Muslim hijab while addressing a recent Islamic gathering in the Big Apple.

May 27 marked the beginning of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, which lasts until May 30. The Daily Mail reported that AOC was among the public figures to speak at a holiday event in the Bronx on Wednesday, wearing the traditional Muslim head garment.

The move sparked a smattering of criticism and mockery online.

“This theatrical Marxist simpleton screams about patriarchy while cosplaying in a garment mandated by brutal theocracies. Iranian morality police execute women over this exact covering,” one social media user opined. “Yet this lobotomized progressive parasite treats their subjugation as a trendy accessory.”

Commentary Magazine editor John Podhoretz questioned whether or not it was respectful for non-members of a faith to wear such articles while in its houses of worship. The congresswoman responded, “This is at a mosque, where we were invited by the congregation to speak before prayer. In this context, head coverings are the respectful move. One of the fun parts of being a rep for NYC is learning different customs for so many communities.”…
