Ban the Brotherhood!
By Kenneth R. Timmerman
The movement to ban the Muslim Brotherhood and its front organizations here in the United States is finally coming to a head, after years of false steps and misinformation about the Brotherhood and its goals.
The late Yusuf al-Qaradawi, one of the Brotherhood’s leading strategists, made it very clear in a speech he gave in Doha, Qatar in 2007: “Islam will conquer Europe without resorting to the sword or fighting. The conquest will be through da’wah and ideology.”
He could have said Europe and America, because that is their goal.
What is da’wah? Simply put, proselytizing. Inviting non-Muslims to become Muslims through teaching, preaching, but also misinformation, lies, and deception.
Why would Muslim proselytes need to lie? Because the Muslim Brotherhood seeks to impose Shariah law on those areas it “conquers.”
Among many other things, Shariah law considers Christians and Jews as “dhimmis,” or second class citizens, who must constantly submit to their Muslim neighbors.
In the famous golden era of Muslim “tolerance” during the reign of the caliph Harun al-Rashid, this meant that when a Christian or a Jew encountered a Muslim on the sidewalk in Baghdad, he needed to step aside and walk in the street, because Sharia forbade non-Muslims from carrying their heads higher than Muslims.
But even this Muslim “tolerance” has its limits, as we have seen time and again throughout history, and that’s when the pogroms begin. Then the dhimmis have three choices: submit to Islam, flee, or die.
We saw this throughout much of the U.S. occupation of Iraq from 2003-2017, until President Trump finally eradicated the ISIS caliphate.
I made I don’t know how many mission and reporting trips to Northern Iraq to gather the testimonies of Christians who fled Baghdad, where their families had lived for centuries, because of Muslim death threats.
Interpreters who worked for U.S. special forces fled after seeing their names on hit lists posted to the doors of the local mosque. Mothers and grandmothers fled after all the menfolk in their families were taken hostage and murdered. I recount many of these eyewitness accounts, which are heartbreaking, in my novel of the war in the Iraq, ISIS BEGINS.
If you want to learn more about the doctrines of the Muslim Brotherhood, you can read Preachers of Hate: Islam and the War on America, where I traveled to Damascus, Amman, Jerusalem, Gaza, Cairo and elsewhere to interview senior Muslim clerics. To a man, they spouted the historic blood libels against the Jews you can find in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
This past week, Governor Ron DeSantis — my governor here in Florida — officially banned the Muslim Brotherhood and its chief front organization in the United States, the Council of American-Islamic Relations, for providing material support to terrorist groups.
And who are these terrorist groups? Hamas, al Qaeda, Boko Haram in Nigeria, ISIS, and many more. All of them are just different branches of the Muslim Brotherhood, some more violent than others.
Often, the Brothers will don Western suits and seemingly preach tolerance, as the new president of Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa, has done. Or they will sit in their palaces in Doha, Qatar, and Ankara, Turkey, professing to be peace-makers.
But make no mistake: Qatar and Turkey are the primary enablers and funders of the Muslim Brotherhood and their terrorist spawn. As I told Newsmax TV earlier this week, the ISIS attack that killed two U.S. service members and a civilian contractor in Syria recently could not have taken place without the assistance of the Turkish government.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant are scheduled to deliver a report on the Muslim Brotherhood to the president on December 24, that will make the argument either for or against designating the Brotherhood as a foreign terrorist organization. It’s hard to imagine them glossing over the perfidy of the Brotherhood — but, the Brothers have powerful backers.
You can do your bit to encourage the president to designate the Brotherhood by going to this website: BanTheBrotherhood.org, and click on the Take Action button. That will send a letter to your congressman and to the president encouraging him to free America from the insidious infiltration of our society by these Islamic supremacists.
We need to act now, before it’s too late.
I discuss the Brotherhood, as well as the latest progress in the Russia-Ukraine peace negotiations (and yes, there has been progress, however modest), on this week’s Prophecy Today Weekend.
As always, you can listen live at 1 PM on Saturday in the Jacksonville, Florida area on 104.9 FM or 550 AM or by using the Jacksonville Way Radio app. You can listen later to the podcast here.
Yours in freedom.
PS: This week, at the end of my segment, you’ll get a special story about spending part of the Christmas holiday in the Persian Gulf, on board the USS George Washington off the coast of Iraq and Kuwait. Merry Christmas to all!
