As Fentanyl Overdoses Rise, a Child in New York Dies of Exposure

Records concerning the fentanyl epidemic started being kept in 2020, and the latest numbers show that the issue is getting worse. According to Breitbart, August marked a new record of overdose deaths in San Francisco, with approximately three deaths per day due to fentanyl. As reported by The San Fransisco Chronicle, the city “is on track to see 845 overdose fatalities this year.”

London Breed, the mayor of San Francisco, declared the fentanyl crisis a “state of emergency” in 2020, and since then the problem has continued to worsen across the U.S. This week, in an at-home day care in New York City, a one-year-old boy, Nicholas Dominici, died due to drug exposure, with three other children hospitalized. While the tragedy is still under investigation, the presence of fentanyl has been confirmed. Grei Mendez and Acevedo Brito, the owner and tenant of the day care where the deaths took place, have been charged for murder, manslaughter, and assault and “ordered to be held without bail.”

Ashwin Vasan, the City Health Commissioner, said in a news conference, “I’m very sorry, but one of the things that my child care inspectors are not trained to do is look for fentanyl. But maybe we need to.” Otoniel Feliz, the father of Nicholas Dominici, shared, “In what mind does it make sense that you’re going to mix narcotics with children?”

In 2021, the U.S. witnessed more than 100,000 people across the nation being killed by drug overdose — the highest it had ever been in a single year. According to BBC News, over 66% of those deaths were directly related to fentanyl. As reported by BBC, a recent study revealed “virtually every corner of the US, from Hawaii to Alaska to Rhode Island, has been touched by fentanyl.” Experts say nearly “300 individuals a day [are] dying from overdose, and almost all of those are fentanyl related.”

Joseph Backholm, senior fellow for Biblical Worldview and Strategic Engagement at Family Research Council, commented to The Washington Stand, “Certainly the consequences of sin have often lead people to medicate their pain through drug use. That’s not a new phenomenon, but it is evidence of sin.”

He continued, “The problem with fentanyl is that it’s killing people who aren’t trying to use it, like the children in New York.” For Backholm, this tragedy can be traced back to homeland security issues. “We have a completely open southern border,” he said. “Virtually anyone from anywhere can walk across the border into the U.S. … [It] is killing a lot of Americans and enriching cartels who are able to benefit tremendously from the human and drug trafficking opportunities it provides.”

In a reflection on how to respond to the fentanyl crisis earlier this year, The Christian Post’s Matthew Barnett wrote, “Light shines brighter when darkness hovers. We can see farther at night, out into the expanse of stars surrounding us than we can during the day. These truths remind us that we must hold onto hope during [the] fentanyl crisis.”

Communists are burning flags in Chicago. If you will, they were “trying that in a large town” in their protests at a Jason Aldean concert in the Windy City. Aldean is best known for his hit, “Try That in a Small Town.”

FoxNews.com reports, “The protesters were raising awareness of RevCom (Revolutionary Communist Party), which believes in creating a Marxist revolution in America, calling the USA ‘the belly of the beast.’”

The idea of a communist revolution in America, “the belly of the beast,” might well seem far-fetched. But consider the incredible “progress” that the Marxists have made in this country in the last several decades.

Dr. Carol M. Swain used to teach at Princeton and also at Vanderbilt Law School. In an interview with D. James Kennedy Ministries, she mentioned some of the communist objectives for the United States.

Dr. Swain told our viewers: “I’m sure you’re familiar with the book that Cleon Skousen wrote in 1958 called The Naked Communist. That book had near its appendix 45 current communist goals. Those goals were read into the Congressional record in 1963. If you read through those goals, many of them have been accomplished, and one was to take over a political party. To discredit the FBI, to use race as a wedge issue, to take over the public schools, and you go down the list and they’ve accomplished almost every goal that they’ve set out to accomplish.”

Swain added, “And I think we see the implementation of those communist goals and yes, it’s cultural Marxism and it’s all about destroying our society.”

Anyone who doubts her should actually read the goals. Here are just a few.

Goal 27: “Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with ‘social’ religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a ‘religious crutch.’”

Many of the churches in America have gone woke, which effectively means they have replaced the Gospel, where Jesus saves individuals and then they impact society, with a message of social salvation that teaches it is systemic societal ills that need redemption.

Goal 28: “Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of ‘separation of church and state.’”

The First Amendment declares “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” But beginning in 1947 and then especially in the 1960s and 1970s, the Supreme Court changed the understanding of “no establishment” (meaning no established church at the federal level) to meaning essentially a separation of God and government—something the founding fathers would not have agreed with.

Now, the public schools have become, for the most part, secular wastelands because of the effective banishment of God and school prayer. Our history books have been rewritten, and God has been erased. School prayer is out. The metal detectors are in.

Goal 29: “Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a world-wide basis.”

The Constitution is even being called “trash” by some modern thinkers. But would-be immigrants who risk their lives to come into the United States illegally argue with their feet that it is anything but trash.

Goal 30: “Discredit the American founding fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the ‘common man.””

Who would have thought that a nation that celebrated the bicentennial in 1976 so profusely would have developed so much contempt for the founding fathers in just a few decades since?

In a few years, we’ll come to the 250th anniversary of America. Will that be an occasion of celebration or an occasion of gnashing of teeth and more statue-toppling?

The sacrifices of the founding fathers are well documented. They said in the Declaration of Independence that they were trusting in God as they made a full-scale commitment to this cause: “And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”

Some of them died in support of our liberty. Many of them had their property destroyed. They became specific targets of the British torch during the war.

What was the point of their cause? Self-rule under God. Those two phrases summarize the American experiment.

But communism cannot countenance the idea of God. Nor can communism allow for self-rule.

It’s scary to see how successful the communists have been so far in achieving their goals. But as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said in a different context: America is in decline, but it is not inevitable.

Our prayer is that God would revive the work of His hands in this great nation.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy predicted former President Trump will win the 2024 Republican presidential primary race on Sunday, bashing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as “not at the same level.”

McCarthy made the comments during an appearance on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Maria Bartiromo. McCarthy has previously remained neutral in the GOP primary, declining to endorse Trump in July.

“I think he will be the nominee,” McCarthy said about Trump after Bartiromo asked if he thought the former president would be the party’s choice for 2024. “The thing is, President Trump is stronger today than he was in 2016 or 2020, and there’s a reason why. They saw the policies of what he was able to do with America – putting America first, making our economy stronger.”

Talk about dressing down.

The United States Senate has lowered itself to the whims of one member, a so-called ‘distinguished senator’ from Pennsylvania who refuses to appear on the Hill or with the president of the United States in anything else but a grubby hoodie, billowing shorts, and drab sneakers.

No one signals the death of American decorum like Democratic Senator John Fetterman. Except, perhaps, for Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer — who rarely misses a Sunday morning in front of television cameras, but who, over the weekend, very quietly dropped the suit-and-tie requirement on the Senate floor.

The hypocrisy is staggering: Fetterman insists he can do this very big job despite suffering a stroke that has left him with difficulty speaking and processing voices, that resulted in a six-week stay at Walter Reed for depression — yet he can’t expend the effort to look like a presentable member of Congress.

Actually, the question here is: Fetterman can’t, or won’t?

If we are to accept that everything is fine with Fetterman, then reasonable people can conclude that he simply doesn’t care.

We can assume that he is lazy, a slob, and is happy to present himself as someone who is not bringing 100 percent to the job. That he is a narcissist who thinks that a centuries-old dress code for members of Congress should not apply to him, that D.C. should lower its standards to meet his slovenliness, and laughably, as a source close to Fetterman once claimed, that ‘his relaxed, comfortable style is a sign that the senator is making a robust recovery.’

Sure. Nothing says you’ve beaten back depression by dressing as though you haven’t gotten off the couch for a week. Nothing says self-respect like showing up to the Hill in clothes you’d wear to scrub the tub. Most of us dress better for a coffee run.

Student Group Sues West Point Over Race-Based Admissions

Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) filed a lawsuit against the military academy West Point Tuesday alleging that the school is violating the Fifth Amendment’s equal protection clause by using race-based admissions policies.

The Supreme Court ruled against Harvard and the University of North Carolina in June in a 6-3 decision, arguing that a “student must be treated based on his or her experiences as an individual—not on the basis of race.” SFFA, who represented the plaintiffs in the previous cases, sued the military academy, arguing that the Supreme Court’s decision should apply to all schools.

“Over the years, courts have been mindful of the military’s unique role in our nation’s life and the distinctive considerations that come with it,” Edward Blum, president of SFFA said in a press release. “However, no level of deference justifies these polarizing and disliked racial classifications and preferences in admissions to West Point or any of our service academies.”

The lawsuit argues that instead of basing admissions on “objective metrics and leadership potential” the academy’s administrators had instead opted for discriminating on the basis of race. It notes the school’s “benchmarks” for the amount of students in each class that should be made up of  “African Americans,” “Hispanics,” and “Asians.”

“Because skin color can be—and often is—a decisive factor for successful applicants who are chosen from those congressional nominee pools, it is equally dispositive for the other qualified nominees who are turned away,” SFFA argues. “Put differently, because race is a ‘positive’ factor for some West Point applicants, it is necessarily a ‘negative’ factor for others.”

SFFA criticized the military’s justification for the racial quotas, saying that these kinds of policies insinuate that all minorities think alike. The lawsuit also dismissed the academy’s claim that these policies were needed in order to gain legitimacy in a “diverse nation,” noting that a country’s military should not be considered trustworthy only because of its racial make up.

The lawsuit asks that the court issue a “declaratory judgment that West Point’s use of race in admissions is unconstitutional under the Fifth Amendment” and that it grant a preliminary injunction barring the academy from enforcing the policy while the lawsuit goes through the court system.

“Because the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent opinion in the SFFA cases expressly forbids all institutions of higher education from using race in admissions decisions, it must follow that the U. S. military higher education institutions must end their race-based policies as well,” Blum said.

West Point did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy said Sunday on Fox News that nine Biden family members will likely be subpoenaed as part of the Republican-led impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

McCarthy announced Tuesday that Republicans would move forward with an impeachment inquiry into Biden, saying there is enough evidence from both the House Judiciary and Oversight committees to move forward. The basis of the inquiry alleges Biden was involved in influence-peddling with his son Hunter’s overseas business dealings.

McCarthy told Fox’s Maria Bartiromo that Republicans want to use the inquiry to get to the bottom of why Biden used pseudonyms as vice president and why there are emails showing Biden and his son Hunter were both on an email regarding a call with the then-president of Ukraine.

“Are there plans to subpoena any other family members? Because according to the Republicans, family members accepted money from —” Bartiromo asked. 

“Well, it looks to me like nine Biden family members got money. I want to see bank statements. I think they’d have to come before us to answer the questions,” McCarthy said. The Speaker said the inquiry gives Congress the legal ability to get bank and credit card statements and force Biden family members to answer questions.

The White House has pushed back against the inquiry, sending a letter to news executives on Wednesday saying it is “time for the media to ramp up its scrutiny of House Republicans for opening an impeachment inquiry based on lies.” The letter said the inquiry should “set off alarm bells for news organizations.”

Former President Donald Trump sparred with NBC host Kristen Welker when she falsely claimed there is “no evidence” connecting Joe Biden to Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings.

Trump sat down with Welker for a pre-taped interview and NBC’s “Meet the Press” aired parts of the interview Sunday for Welker’s introduction as the show’s new host. The pair went back and forth on Hunter Biden after Welker said there was “no evidence” Joe Biden has “any link” to his son’s business dealings, according to a transcript of the full interview.

“Well, of course, there’s no evidence that the president has any link to his son’s business dealings. Let me ask you, though,” Welker said.

“Well, I don’t,” Trump interrupted, with a puzzled expression on his face.

“He called in. I mean, he called in to all these meetings. He was calling in on the meetings. He was put on speakerphone and — every single day and,” Trump said.

“And what about the fact that he got rid of the prosecutor for a billion dollars?,” he added.

“Mr. President, the witness who testified though, said that he never heard any discussion of business when President Biden was put on the phone,” Welker claimed.

“He said, ‘You don’t get rid of this prosecutor, I’m not giving $1 billion,’” Trump continued.

“That was looked into, as well. And, as you know, there was never any wrongdoing,” Welker responded.

“If I ever said that,” Trump stated.

“Let’s move on,” Welker insisted.

“Quid pro quo,” Trump replied. Welker proceeded to shift the conversation to what Trump’s second term would look like.

Trump was referring to testimony from Hunter Biden’s former business associate Devon Archer who told the House Oversight Committee in July that Joe Biden spoke with his son’s business partners on more than 20 occasions. Archer specifically recalled a spring 2014 dinner Joe Biden had with Russian oligarch Elena Baturina and a spring 2015 dinner with Vadim Pozharskyi, an executive at Ukrainian energy firm Burisma.

Hunter Biden was being paid more than $80,000 a month to sit on Burisma’s board when his father met Pozharskyi, according to bank records released in August by the House Oversight Committee.

Archer also described how the Biden family “brand” represented by Joe Biden protected Burisma from scrutiny and kept the firm in business. Archer told Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson in an August interview that former Ukrainian prosecutor general Viktor Shokin was considered a “threat” to Burisma’s business and recalled a raid Shokin orchestrated on Burisma founder Mykola Zlochvesky’s property.

In September 2016, then-Vice President Joe Biden bragged about how he successfully pressured Ukraine into firing Shokin by threatening to withhold a $1 billion loan.

“You remember last year I was authorized to say we’d do the second tranche of a billion dollars. And he didn’t fire his chief prosecutor. And because I have the confidence of the president, I was there, and I said: I’m not signing it. Until you fire him, we’re not signing, man. Get it straight. We’re not doing it,” Biden said to the Council on Foreign Relations.

Joe Biden said Devon Archer’s testimony was “not true” during an Aug. 9. confrontation with Fox News reporter Peter Doocy. The White House has said Joe Biden was “not in business” with his son.

Hunter Biden was indicted Thursday on three federal gun charges. He faces a maximum of 25 years in prison as the Department of Justice (DOJ) continues to investigate his taxes.

The House Ways and Means, Oversight and Judiciary Committees are leading the impeachment inquiry into President Biden, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said Tuesday.

The committees are investigating testimony from IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler accusing DOJ investigators of giving Hunter Biden special treatment. House Oversight is also investigating Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings and the alleged role Joe Biden played in them.

Former President Donald Trump has promised he will pardon or commute the sentences of sidewalk counselors, pro-life advocates, and “every political prisoner who’s been unjustly persecuted by the Biden administration” on the first day he returns to office, he told the 2023 Pray Vote Stand Summit on Friday.

Trump also vowed he would prohibit transgender procedures for children and prosecute left-wing officials who enacted laws that facilitate children to run away from home and begin to receive transgender procedures. The 45th president shared these and other specific policies during his speech, which closed Friday’s proceedings at the conservative Christian summit, hosted by FRC Action. And he said, “Americans of faith are the soul of our country.”

Trump said he will overturn the Biden administration’s attempt to criminalize their political opponents — a fate the president says conservatives have in common. “Marxists and Stalinists in the administration got a Washington, D.C, jury to convict five pro-life activists who are now facing up to 11 years in prison for simple acts of protest,” said Trump inside the Omni Shoreham Hotel.

Five members of the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising — Lauren Handy, John Hinshaw, Heather Idoni, William Goodman, and Herb Geraghty — were convicted in August of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act over their protest at the Washington Surgi-Clinic abortion facility. “Under Biden, others are being sentenced to 10, 15, and even 20 years in prison for retribution for their political beliefs, while Antifa and other groups burn down cities like Portland, like Minneapolis. … They kill people; they loot; they plunder, and they go free.”

“To reverse these cruel travesties of justice, tonight I’m announcing that the moment I win the election, I will appoint a special taskforce to rapidly review the cases of every political prisoner who’s been unjustly persecuted by the Biden administration … so that I can study the situation very quickly and sign their pardons or commutations on day one,” the president said. “Never again will the federal government be used to target religious believers.”

Targeting believers threatens the very essence of the United States, said the former president. “For nearly 250 years, our nation has been propelled by the power of prayer and guided by the hand of God in Heaven. It was faith that led the Pilgrims across the perilous seas of Plymouth Rock. They came to Plymouth Rock, and that was a long, arduous, and deadly journey. It was faith that moved our Founding Fathers to change history forever and proclaim that our rights do not come from anywhere other than from our Creator. And it was unflinching faith that inspired generations of pastors and patriots, chaplains and soldiers, farmers, workers, laborers, and pioneers to make America the greatest country in the history of the world.”

“It was God-fearing patriots like you who built this country, and it is God-fearing patriots like you who are going to save our country,” Trump added. “Americans of faith are not a threat to our country; Americans of faith are the soul of our country.”

“Through four magnificent years, I was proud to be your relentless champion for freedom, for life, for liberty, and for the great biblical traditions of Western civilization,” he said.

With patriots on his side, “this election will decide whether America will be ruled by Marxists, fascists, communist tyrants who want to smash the Judeo-Christian heritage, or whether America will be saved by God-fearing, freedom-loving patriots like all of the people in this room,” said Trump. “We’re going to take back our culture. And we’re going to make America great again, greater than ever before.”

Persecution is a shared activity on the Right, said Trump, who has been indicted multiple times by liberal prosecutors. “The radical Left is coming after all of us, because they know that our allegiance is not to them; our allegiance is to our country and to our Creator,” said Trump. Under the Biden administration, America has become “like a banana republic. We’re like a Third World country.”

The former president then turned to a number of policies he plans to enact if he wins the 2024 presidential election, which would make him only the second president in history to serve two non-consecutive terms in office.

“Probably number one on my list … I will sign a law prohibiting child sexual mutilation — think of it, sexual mutilation — in all 50 states,” Trump said, expressing disbelief he had to address the issue. “They mutilate our children, and we’re not going to let that happen.”

He also took aim at “California’s depraved new laws that strip parents of parental rights and that encourage minors to be transported across state lines for sexual mutilation,” he said. “And we will prosecute those involved in this sick California scheme for violating federal laws against kidnapping, sex trafficking, child abuse, and the deprivation of their civil rights.”

Trump also promised to clear out the federal bureaucracy indoctrinating students in extreme gender ideology. “I will close immediately the Department of Education, and we will move everything back to the states,” Trump said to applause, repeating a policy embraced by Ronald Reagan during his 1980 landslide victory over Jimmy Carter. (Trump allowed, “We’ll keep a few people there just to make sure they’re guaranteeing they’re going to teach English.”) He endorsed school choice and promised to “sign a new executive order to cut federal funding for any school pushing critical race theory, transgender insanity, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children,” as well as denying taxpayer funding to any school with a COVID-19 mask or vaccine mandate.

Clearing out the federal education bureaucracy constitutes one step of his plan to “totally obliterate the Deep State,” the hive of unelected bureaucrats who draft regulations and enforce, or refuse to enforce, existing laws according to their own whim.

Trump took pride in appointing three of the six Supreme Court justices who voted to overturn the Roe v. Wade decision last June. The Dobbs ruling “moves the issue back to the states, which all legal scholars wanted on both sides,” said Trump.

The former president added that Democrats “are the radical ones” on abortion. “They’ll kill babies in the fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth month, and they’ll even kill babies in some cases after birth.” Trump, who won more votes than any sitting president in history, said Republicans have to address abortion head-on, “and if they don’t speak about it correctly, they’re not going to win.”

The Supreme Court also won Trump’s praise for its ruling in Students for Fair Admissions, which eliminated race-conscious Affirmative Action programs in college admissions and reinstitute “merit-based education again.”

Trump invoked the Bible when he promised to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, because the world is perilously “close to World War III.”

“As the Bible says, ‘Blessed are the peacemakers.’ And I was a peacemaker,” said Trump, quoting the Sermon on the Mount. “We got out of Syria. We got out of Iraq. We defeated ISIS.”

The president held up his record on religious liberty, supporting the Little Sisters of the Poor, not enforcing the Johnson Amendment, ending “Barack Hussein Obama’s hateful and bigoted assault on faith-based adoption and foster care services,” and opposing religious persecution overseas.

On illegal immigration, Trump praised the “patriots” in the Border Patrol, whose hands have been tied by the Biden administration. “I will also use Title 42 to end the child trafficking crisis by returning all trafficked children to their families in their home countries immediately,” he said. Quoting actor Jim Caviezel’s dialogue in “Sound of Freedom,” Trump declared, “God’s children are not for sale.”

He promised to return to his fiscal policy of economic nationalism (especially against China), further tax reductions and regulatory reform, forecasting that the economic rebound will produce more revenue, as it did during his first term in office.

Trump also highlighted the importance of reliable news outlets. “We are a nation that no longer has a free and fair press. Fake news is all you get, and they are the true enemy of the people.”

Playing dramatic music underneath his speech, Trump highlighted the decline of the nation under his successor. “We are a nation that has lost its confidence, it has lost its willpower, and it has lost its strength. We are a nation that, quite frankly, has lost its way,” he said, vowing to reverse the damage in one year.

“We will take back our country with a righteous and magnificent victory on Election Day 2024.”

“Over the weekend, House Republicans took the much-needed step of ensuring that our dangerously insecure borders are closed as part of any spending deal to fund the government. The House-drafted Continuing Resolution (CR) that would fund the federal government beyond September 30 includes nearly all of H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act. In addition to funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the inclusion of key provisions of H.R. 2 requires that DHS invest in physical barriers, personnel and technology to secure the border.

“As the Biden Border Crisis, and its impact on communities all across the United States, grows worse by the day, it is critical that the full House pass the CR with these border security provisions intact and hold the line when a final deal is hammered out with the leadership of the Democratic controlled Senate.

“Securing the border is a fiscal issue. The unprecedented and unceasing influx of illegal aliens triggered by Biden administration policies affect the budgets of countless federal agencies that process, feed, shelter, educate, and provide medical care to the illegal migrants. The Biden Border Crisis is also wreaking havoc on state and local governments that are coping with influxes that, in the words of New York City Mayor Eric Adams, threaten to ‘destroy’ their communities.

“Congress cannot hand the Biden administration a blank check that allows them to continue subverting our immigration laws and endangering national security. House Republicans took the necessary step of making sure that the government has the funds it needs to operate, but not carte blanche to carry out the Biden administration’s dangerous, destructive and illegal dismantling of border and immigration enforcement.”

The Republican-held House will hold its first impeachment inquiry hearing into President Joe Biden on Thursday, Sept. 28, the Daily Caller News Foundation confirmed Tuesday.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced an impeachment inquiry last week into Biden over his alleged involvement in his son Hunter’s foreign business dealings. The House Oversight Committee, led by Chairman James Comer of Kentucky, will hold the first hearing to further investigate the corruption and abuse of power allegations against the president, according to a committee spokesperson.

“The House Oversight Committee will hold its first hearing on the impeachment inquiry next Thursday, September 28,” a spokesperson for the committee told the DCNF in a statement. “The hearing will focus on constitutional and legal questions surrounding the President’s involvement in corruption and abuse of public office. The Committee also intends to subpoena Hunter and James Biden’s personal and business bank records as early as this week. The Oversight Committee will continue to follow the evidence and money trail to provide the transparency and accountability that Americans demand from their government.”

The speaker launched the impeachment inquiry after finding that the House Oversight Committee and the House Judiciary Committee, led by Chairman Jim Jordan of Ohio, uncovered enough evidence to move forward with the investigations. The impeachment inquiry will allow the House to obtain more documents, like the bank records of the Biden family.

McCarthy, Comer, Jordan and the White House did not immediately respond to the DCNF’s requests for comment.

Oak Park High School students in Kansas City, Missouri just got sent a message loud and clear: boys are just better at things than girls are. Even at being a girl. Tristan Young, a male student who identifies as a female, was crowned the homecoming queen this week. He beat out four lovely female candidates because actually identifying as the gender that you are is like, sooo 2010.

Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time a transgender student was named Homecoming Queen at Oak Park High School. Back in 2015, a different boy who identified as a girl snagged the title.

We spoke with a parent in the district who asked to remain anonymous and she was disgusted by the district’s actions. She told us, “I’m appalled by NKC Schools’ continued support of the LGBT agenda. NKC Schools says they are “Champions for All Students” yet by embracing radical political statements like this they not only indoctrinate children, but they are placing certain student populations over others. Having two homecoming “queens” that are boys is a disgrace to the NKC Schools community. I hope more parents, community members and district employees start speaking out and start protecting children.”

This insane gender rhetoric not only teaches women and girls that men do things better, but also that a man who identifies as a woman is somehow more deserving of recognition and accomplishments in women’s spaces.

Another parent told us, “As a woman, it breaks my heart to see these girls get passed over and a man stealing what is rightfully theirs. As a parent I’m enraged that the school district is celebrating this on all of their social media accounts (conveniently locking down comments). On the other hand I’m broken-hearted because I know the students voted for him. Although Kansas City is a liberal leaning area of Missouri it is still more conservative than most cities. I don’t know how we’ve reached this point or how to turn it around.“

Imagine a little girl who dreams of being crowned homecoming queen one day when she’s older. Fast forward to high school, she gets nominated. Yay! She knows that she might not win, but to lose to a guy? Seriously? What could be more insulting? And even worse, confusing.

Predictably, the district limited replies and hid comments. If they’re so proud of embracing this radical gender ideology, why are they trying to hide?

Billionaire Elon Musk has faced an investigative onslaught from President Joe Biden’s administration since he acquired social media platform Twitter — now X — less than a year ago, and exposed censorship against conservatives by his predecessors.

The billionaire has condemned the Democratic party and exposed left-wing censorship, including from Biden himself. The president encouraged investigations into Musk soon after he assumed control of X in October: Musk is currently the owner or CEO of X, Tesla and SpaceX, all of which have faced investigations from the Biden administration since his takeover of the social media platform.

“In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party,” Musk posted on X in May 2022, while still in the process of purchasing the platform. “But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican. Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold.”

Shortly following Musk’s acquisition of X, Biden said that Musk’s relationships with foreign governments warranted investigation.  “I think that Elon Musk’s cooperation and/or technical relationships with other countries … is worthy of being looked at, whether or not he is doing anything inappropriate, I’m not suggesting that,” Biden said in November. “I’m suggesting that [it’s] … worth being looked at … that’s all I’ll say.”

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has investigated the company’s alleged lack of adherence to a 2022 administrative order related to privacy, and depositions “revealed a chaotic environment at the company that raised serious questions about whether and how Musk and other leaders were ensuring X Corp.’s compliance,” according to a September Department of Justice (DOJ) filing. This violation could lead to fines for the company, according to The Washington Post.

The FTC has also issued over 350 solicitations for information from X since Musk took over, including the social media platform’s work with journalists, Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio asserted in July. Musk enabled journalists to release batches of internal documents from X which precede his takeover, called the “Twitter Files,” revealing that Biden campaign staff flagged posts related to his son Hunter for the company to censor.

Before Musk took over, X censored the Hunter Biden laptop story published by the New York Post in the month before the 2020 election, preventing people from sharing the link both publicly and privately. Former executives now regret suppressing the story.

“You’ve asked for every single communication relating to Elon Musk, not communications that he just sent to someone or communications he received, but any time he’s mentioned,” Jordan said. “More than harassment, that seems like almost an obsession.”

Furthermore, the DOJ and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) are also investigating Musk’s electric car company Tesla’s alleged allocation of funds toward a discrete project, rumored to be construction of a glass house for its CEO, The Wall Street Journal reported in August.

The alleged project is internally called “Project 42” and involves the construction of an expansive glass building in the vicinity of Austin, Texas, according to the WSJ. “I’m not building a house of any kind, let alone a glass one!” Musk posted on X.

Moreover, Musk’s SpaceX is currently under investigation by the DOJ for alleged discrimination over its hiring policies, according to an August filing. The DOJ accused SpaceX of discrimination against people seeking asylum and refugees by not hiring them.

The U.S. mandates employees to have “at least a green card” due to rockets’ classification as “advanced weapons technology,” Musk posted on X, However, this is inaccurate, according to the lawsuit.

Musk was recently asked on a podcast if the Biden administration has it out for him. “Ha. What ever gave you that idea?” Musk joked, eliciting laughter from the hosts and live audience.

“I don’t think the whole administration has it out for me,” he added. “But I think there’s probably aspects of the administration … or aspects of interests aligned with President Biden who probably do not wish good things for me.”

The White House, DOJ, Twitter, Tesla and SpaceX did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

The FTC and SEC declined to comment.

The amount of evidence connecting Joe Biden to Hunter Biden’s business dealings is growing as Congressional investigations continue to reveal new information surrounding Hunter Biden’s engagements.

Witness testimony, emails, text messages, flights and additional evidence indicate Joe Biden was knowledgeable about Hunter Biden’s business dealings and communicated with his son’s business associates on numerous occasions. 

Hunter Biden’s former business associate Devon Archer testified in July to the House Oversight Committee that Joe Biden spoke with his son’s business associates more than 20 times, including a spring 2014 dinner with Russian oligarch Elena Baturina and a spring 2015 dinner with Vadim Pozharskyi, an executive with Ukrainian energy firm Burisma Holdings.

In addition, Archer mentioned a meeting Joe Biden had in Beijing with a Chinese business associate, whose daughter later received a college recommendation letter from then-Vice President Joe Biden.

Hunter Biden was being paid more than $80,000 per month by Burisma when the dinner with Pozharskyi took place, according to bank records released by House Oversight. Baturina wired $3.5 million to a shell company owned by Archer and Biden in February 2014, bank records show.

“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” Pozharskyi emailed Hunter Biden in April 2015, according to Hunter Biden’s laptop archive.

The Biden family and its associates received more than $20 million from Ukrainian, Russian, Chinese, Romanian and Kazakhstani business associates, the bank records indicate. 

Archer also described to House Oversight how the Biden family “brand” represented by Joe Biden protected Burisma from scrutiny and kept the firm in business. Archer said Hunter Biden “called D.C.” at Burisma’s December 2015 board meeting because of pressure from Pozharskyi and Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky.

Joe Biden took a trip to Ukraine days after Hunter Biden’s phone call and archived emails show then-VP Biden’s office worked with one of Hunter Biden’s business associates on media inquiries related to Burisma on the day of the apparent phone call.

Internal State Department emails show Joe Biden’s office sent them talking points and instructed officials not to single out Zlochevsky in response to media questions. Archer could not confirm whether Joe Biden was on the other end of his son’s phone call.

After his testimony, Archer told Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson it is “categorically false” to claim Joe Biden did not know about his son’s business dealings. In the interview, Carlson displayed a personalized letter Joe Biden sent to Archer in 2011 apologizing for not being able to meet him.

Archer also told Tucker Carlson Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin was a “threat” to Burisma’s business before Joe Biden successfully pressured Ukraine into getting Shokin fired. Archer told Carlson about a raid Shokin orchestrated on Zlochevsky’s office that occurred soon before Shokin was fired.

“You remember last year I was authorized to say we’d do the second tranche of a billion dollars. And he didn’t fire his chief prosecutor. And because I have the confidence of the president, I was there, and I said: I’m not signing it. Until you fire him, we’re not signing, man. Get it straight. We’re not doing it,” then-VP Joe Biden told the Council on Foreign Relations in September 2016.

House Oversight has requested records from the State Department related to Shokin and Burisma to better understand why U.S. officials changed their perception of Shokin in late 2015. Unearthed memos from U.S. and European officials show Shokin was making progress on Ukraine’s anti-corruption goals before he was fired.

A separate FBI FD-1023 form contains allegations from a confidential human source that Zlochevsky bragged about sending bribes to Joe Biden and Hunter Biden. Zlochevsky claims he sent $5 million to Joe Biden and $5 million to Hunter Biden to get Shokin fired, the confidential human source said. The Ukrainian oligarch allegedly possesses two recordings of Joe Biden and 15 recordings of Hunter Biden discussing the bribes. Republican Kentucky Rep. James Comer, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said in June the FBI is investigating the bribery allegations.

IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley testified to the House Ways and Means Committee in May and disclosed a transcript from Hunter Biden’s former business associate Rob Walker who said Joe Biden met in May 2017 with officials from CEFC China Energy, a Chinese energy company doing business with Hunter Biden. Shapley confirmed Joe Biden’s apparent meeting with CEFC associates when he testified publicly in July.

Furthermore, Shapley disclosed a threatening text Hunter Biden allegedly sent in July 2017 to a different Chinese associate where he referenced Joe Biden’s presence in the room.

“I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight,” Hunter Biden said, according to Shapley.

“I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father,” Hunter Biden added. Images from Hunter Biden’s laptop demonstrate he was with Joe Biden the night he sent the apparent text message, according to the Washington Free Beacon.

Hunter Biden texted a CEFC associate on Aug. 3, 2017 boasting over how the “Bidens are the best” at doing what his boss wants for the company, House Oversight revealed in June.

“The Biden’s are the best I know at doing exactly what the Chairman wants from this [partnership],” Hunter Biden told CEFC associate Gongwen Dong. The next day, Hunter Biden’s shell company Owasco PC received a $100,000 payment from CEFC, House Oversight discovered.

The Chairman of CEFC was Ye Jianming, a businessman who was linked to the Chinese Communist Party before being arrested for bribery, House Oversight said in a memo released in May. Emails on Hunter Biden’s laptop show he was “office mates” with Joe Biden and Dong, alongside Jill Biden and his uncle James Biden.

Hunter Biden’s failed guilty plea deal with the Department of Justice (DOJ) indicates he made more than $600,000 from CEFC in 2017 and roughly $1 million from Hudson West III, a business entity he formed with a CEFC associate. IRS whistleblower Joseph Ziegler testified in July that Hudson West II brought in $3.7 million overall and confirmed the payment from CEFC.

An email sent in May 2017 by former Hunter Biden business associate James Gilliar alludes to Joe Biden as “the big guy” in a discussion about a potential business deal.

“10 held by H for the big guy,” Gilliar suggested, with the “big guy” moniker referring to Joe Biden, former business associate Tony Bobulinski confirmed to the New York Post. “Don’t mention Joe being involved, it’s only when u are face to face[.] I know u know that but they are paranoid,” Gilliar texted Bobulinski on May 20, 2017, according to House Oversight.

Walker received $3 million worth of payments from State Energy HK, a different Chinese energy firm, and sent more than $1 million of those payments to LLCs held by Biden family members, House Oversight revealed in March. Ziegler also confirmed the payments from State Energy HK in his testimony.

“It’s really hard. But don’t worry, unlike Pop [Joe], I won’t make you give me half your salary,” Hunter Biden texted his daughter Naomi in 2019, according to text messages from his laptop archive reported by the New York Post. Emails on Biden’s laptop indicate he wired himself $100,000 from Joe Biden’s bank account when he was dealing with financial issues.

Moreover, emails on Biden’s laptop show Hunter was paying Joe Biden’s phone bill and paid for house repairs for Joe Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware residence, the Daily Mail reported.

Hunter Biden took an estimated 15 flights with his father on Air Force Two when Joe Biden was vice president, according to an analysis conducted by Fox News. The first son accompanied then-VP Biden on trips to Canada, Mexico, Europe, Africa and Asia, the outlet reported.

House Oversight has requested the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) provide records from Hunter Biden’s apparent flights and multiple aliases Joe Biden appeared to use for government purposes, including a meeting with Ukraine’s president that Hunter Biden was aware of ahead of time.

Hunter Biden’s business associates visited the White House more than 80 times when Joe Biden was vice president, Fox News reported based on White House visitor logs.

The younger Biden met with his father, Devon Archer and a lobbyist for Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov at the Naval Observatory, the vice president’s official residence, Archer testified. House Oversight is looking closely at the Naval Observatory meeting as part of its investigation, the New York Post reported.

The House Ways and Means, Oversight and Judiciary Committees will be leading an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden over Hunter Biden’s business dealings and IRS whistleblower testimony accusing the DOJ of giving Hunter Biden special treatment in their ongoing investigation, Speaker McCarthy announced Tuesday.

The role Joe Biden allegedly played in Hunter Biden’s business dealings is a central component of the impeachment inquiry and House Oversight’s probe into the younger Biden’s affairs.

The White House said in June that Joe Biden was “not in business” with his son and Joe Biden said Archer’s testimony is “not true” in August.

Hunter Biden was indicted Thursday on three gun charges and faces a maximum of 25 years in prison. Special counsel David Weiss is simultaneously investigating Hunter Biden’s taxes following the collapse of his plea deal in July. Shapley and Ziegler have accused DOJ investigators of giving Hunter Biden special treatment under Weiss’ watch prior to his special counsel designation.

Biden pleaded not guilty to two tax misdemeanors after Delaware U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika scrutinized an immunity provision in the pretrial diversion agreement for his felony gun charge. Noreika’s pressure caused a dispute between Biden’s counsel and the DOJ resulting in the collapse of Biden’s plea agreement.

If President Joe Biden wins a second term, his administration aims to undertake even more climate initiatives that would target key industries, according to The New York Times.

Biden, in a potential second term, would target industries he views as heavily polluting, including steel mills, cement plants, factories and oil refineries, according to the NYT. The new green initiatives could threaten his chances in the upcoming 2024 presidential election, though, as steel and cement manufacturers in swing states who are often unionized could turn on him after hearing about his climate plans for their industry.

“If you are seen as imposing debilitating regulations on heavy industry that employs large numbers of people, you’re not only going to get a backlash from manufacturing, but labor as well,” David Axelrod, chief strategist for Obama’s presidential campaigns, told the NYT. “How to do that without looking like you are stabbing these industries in the back, or in the front for that matter, is a real political challenge.”

Biden’s plan to go after industrial emissions involves subsidizing new technologies that he believes would cut down on factories’ carbon footprint, including wind and solar power to create green hydrogen to power steel mills and cement production methods that do not release carbon dioxide when heating limestone, according to the NYT. The second half of his plan involves imposing tariffs on steel, cement and aluminum based on their carbon emissions.

The Biden administration has already pledged $370 billion to climate initiatives through the $750 billion spending bill, the Inflation Reduction Act. The legislation includes a multitude of subsidies for domestic manufacturers of green energy technologies.

The move to place new restrictions on industry follows the president’s goal of reaching net-zero carbon emissions by the year 2050. Biden has pumped huge subsidies into the electric vehicle industry to meet this goal, aiming for half of all new cars to be electric by 2030.

In addition to electric vehicles, the president has also targeted power plants in an attempt to encourage greener energy sources like solar and wind power, creating new Environmental Protection Agency regulations that have yet to be finalized that would compel the phaseout of coal-fired power plants, according to the NYT. The Biden administration has also put restrictions on oil and gas production through tightening requirements related to methane emissions.

“Apparently skyrocketing gas and energy prices weren’t enough for Biden, he wants to raise the prices on building and infrastructure costs and put hard working Americans further into debt,” Emma Vaughn, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee, told the NYT. “Biden will not be elected to a second term — American families can’t afford it.”

The White House did not immediately respond to a request to comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.

An organization largely funded by left-wing billionaire George Soros’ philanthropic network is bankrolling a “Gen Z” group that works to advance Democratic priorities and President Joe Biden’s agenda on social media, the New York Post reported.

Accelerate Action, Inc. received over $5.5 million in 2021 and 2022 from the Open Society Foundations, a group founded by Soros and currently run by his son Alexander Soros, according to the Foundation’s website. That group gave, among other grants, $300,000 to “Gen Z for Change” a non-profit activist group that produces left-wing content uploaded onto social media websites such as TikTok and Instagram for voters to consume, according to its tax forms.

The Open Society Foundations made up around two-thirds of Accelerate Action’s funding in 2020 and 2021, according to the New York Post. Moreover, Accelerate Action is the only nonprofit that has donated to Gen Z for Change, which would trace much of its funding back to the Open Society Foundations, according to the Post.

“[W]e’ve supported a variety of progressive campaigns, from union solidarity and fighting abortion bans to holding social media companies accountable for their role in spreading disinformation,” Gen Z for Change writes on its website, which lists a dozen different left-wing campaigns. “Through our 2022 electoral work, we launched effective creator activations that generated a total of over 26 million views and supported many crucial campaigns with various celebrities and lawmakers.”

The Daily Caller previously reported that the one of Gen Z for Change’s founding board members was a Biden campaign staffer, and the group frequently works with Democratic operatives and White House officials.

Gen Z for Change has been in direct contact with the White House and Biden administration regarding its campaign efforts. In 2022, a representative was invited to the Oval Office for an audience with President Joe Biden, while its other officers received a White House briefing about the war in Ukraine and a meeting with Surgeon General Vivek Murthy about the coronavirus, the New York Post reported.

The group’s website lists a dozen different campaigns that work to advance left-wing causes and stymie Republican administrations’ conservative policies. One initiative, known as “CRT Mail,” allows users to spam Virginia’s tip line email address created by Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin for parents to report instances of “critical race theory” being taught in classrooms.

“[T]his website autogenerates randomized reports to Virginia’s CRT tip email. [T]he reports aren’t real of course, they’re mostly song lyrics. [J]ust click the button below and send the email 🙂 [A]lternatively, you could replace my message with a new one. [F]eel free to spice it up!” the group writes.

Another campaign, known as the S.A.F.E.R. Initiative — which stands for Spam, Assist, Fund, Educate [and] Register — targets crisis pregnancy centers, or locations where pregnant women may receive support for an unwanted pregnancy as an alternative to an abortion. As a result of their efforts, “Yelp added a disclaimer to all [centers], stating that they provide limited medical services and may not have licensed medical professionals,” according to the website.

Gen Z for Change did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

On behalf of over 4 million Texans who voted for General Paxton, I thank you for your leadership during the AG Ken Paxton sham impeachment trial. We, the residents of Texas who value fairness, due process, and the principles of justice, were shocked to witness the sudden coup by both parties colluding to remove our popular attorney general from office. By doing so, they betrayed their constituents. They betrayed Texas.

The House’s rush to impeach Attorney General Paxton with 20 impeachment articles without evidence was a disheartening example of how political expediency can overshadow the pursuit of justice and due process. The Roosevelt Hotel claims that it’s the place “where classic elegance meets contemporary luxury”. Classic elegance and luxury at the midtown Manhattan hotel looks like busloads of migrant invaders arriving and camping outside the golden doors. The scene is no better inside where 41 migrants have been arrested for beating wives, girlfriends and significant others.

There have also been assaults on employees and an arrest for child endangerment.

While the Roosevelt Hotel may have an old name, Mayor Eric Adams and New York City actually leased it from Pakistan for $220 million. That amounts to paying $210 per room for each night that an illegal alien invader uses it to smoke meth or abuse their wives and daughters.

The Roosevelt Hotel was named after Teddy. You can imagine what he would have done if thousands of foreigners had invaded a hotel and turned it into a drug den on his watch.

In a city where a quarter of young children live in poverty, that $220 million could probably be put to better use than paying the Islamic terror state linked to the September 11 attacks on New York City for the privilege of housing the hordes of invaders in “contemporary luxury”.

Mayor Adams has already jettisoned his promise of universal day care to care for the migrants.

Inside the Roosevelt from the gilt sign at the entrance to the art deco halls has been tarnished. Migrants squat under the massive crystal chandelier in the ballroom and sleep on the red carpet. Despite supposedly being poor and desperate, many are swiping and clicking through their smartphone apps while they wait for their next taxpayer-funded benefit to arrive.

Once the setting for movies like Wall Street and The French Connection, the storied hotel is now home to another kind of corrupt crime story. The black marble pillars and spacious rooms have been fully occupied by an endless invading army that continues to stream across the border. The smells and the level of filth are reflective of the three remaining working showers.

The massive influx of migrants has made the area near Grand Central Station as unsafe as it was in the 1970s. Despite the hotel being supposedly reserved for families, Central American and African male migrants in their twenties wearing blue surgical masks that cover most of their faces swarm the area and move in packs at night around nervous tourists and local businesses.

The fame of the Roosevelt Hotel appears to have traveled along the migrant pipeline and male migrants have fought, sometimes violently, to stay there instead of being relocated to homeless shelters. Local businesses, already battered by the pandemic, have been hit hard by the crisis.

The cost of housing the invaders is being paid to the Pakistani government. Even though

Pakistan International Airlines, under the control of the terror state’s government, was barred from flying directly to the United States after 9/11, it was allowed to take over the hotel and run it into the ground. The Biden administration has since allowed PIA to resume direct flights.

The Pakistani government harbored Osama bin Laden. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had initiated negotiations with Al Qaeda and offered to “reestablish normal relations.” Former  Prime Minister Imran Khan, nicknamed ‘Taliban Khan’, had called Bin Laden a “martyr”.

Now New Yorkers are stuck paying hundreds of millions of dollars to an Islamic terror state tied to the attacks that killed so many fellow residents and citizens to provide luxury housing for the latest wave of the invaders. Osama bin Laden would be proud of what is happening here.

Beyond Pakistan, other foreign business interests are also benefiting from the foreign invasion.

Chinese developer Jubao Xie, who put up the world’s tallest Holiday Inn in Manhattan, got $190 a night, $93,000 a day and $2.8 million a month to house the invaders. The skyscraper hotel, a bafflingly ugly eyesore, was in trouble before the migrant bailout was approved by a bankruptcy judge. A number of other foreign owned hotels are also benefiting from the arrangement.

The use of high-end hotels to house the illegal invaders has not only wrecked classic storied hotels like the Roosevelt or the Paramount, but it has also ruined the surrounding areas that the Giuliani administration had struggled to drag away from the blight that had overtaken Midtown.

Where tourists are supposed to arrive by train, take in Broadway shows and go to a nice restaurant afterward, the streets swarm with migrant thieves, beggars and madmen.

Row Hotel, a classic Times Square hotel that promises  “comfort and security while away from home” turned into another migrant hellhole. That’s where Daniel Hernandez Martinez, a migrant who was arrested six times for five assaults in two months, attacked a man with a bike tire.

Martinez was responsible for a one-man crime wave in the Times Square area. The criminal migrant was apparently staying in a $500 a night hotel which a former worker described as a

‘free for all’ of drugs, sex and violence where the rooms have been trashed and defiled.

Messages at the formerly stylish hotel described everything from a 10-year-old girl drunk alone in the room to an intruder carrying a machete. “Every day, we find about ten kids alone in their hotel rooms, either drinking or doing drugs. Weapons will be in the room,” a worker described.

And while America’s enemies are laughing and profiting, we are doing this to ourselves.

Open borders is only half the story. At a local level, the other half of the story is the ‘right to shelter’ regulations like those in New York City and other epicenters of the migrant invasion that guarantee everyone a room regardless of how illegal, violent or diseased they may be.

The homeless industrial complex claimed that the only reason junkies were wandering the streets was that an unfair capitalist system had deprived them of affordable housing. They invented a ‘right to shelter’ and radical leftist politicians who came to power implemented it.

A decade ago, I wrote about the rise of “homeless by choice” in which migrants, tourists and traveling junkies showed up in New York City to claim their “three meals a day, a microwave oven, TV, free laundry, free Internet, free health care and a prepaid cell phone with 300 minutes a month.”

And I warned that it would end badly. Now instead of a few thousand junkies, there are tens of thousands of migrants. And they’re just the beginning. Each of them also wants their free phones, health care, meals and everything else they think that they’re entitled to.

Including a stay in a luxury hotel.

Back then, one in four homeless in New York listed addresses outside the city. Today it’s probably the vast majority. There’s no longer even the pretense of a homeless problem.

New York City’s homeless problem just consists of people from other countries showing up in the city and demanding a room at the Roosevelt, the Row or the Paramount. Why be a sucker and pay $300 bucks for a hotel when you can just arrive as a refugee and demand a free room.
