MS-13 on Steroids: Venezuelan Prison Gang Terrorizing U.S. Cities, Flowing Across Our Southern Border

A violent Venezuelan prison gang, Tren de Aragua (TDA), has become increasingly organized and brazen, earning the new moniker “MS-13 on steroids.”

Republican Texas Rep. Tony Gonzales has warned that TDA members are not only aggressive but battle-hardened, having endured the violent environment of Venezuela. As they establish themselves in the U.S., they are becoming harder to track and even more dangerous. Deportation efforts are complicated by Venezuela’s refusal to accept their return, leaving these criminals free to terrorize American communities.

ICE deported only 834 Venezuelans in fiscal 2023 despite over 335,000 encounters with Venezuelan migrants at the border. The Biden administration briefly resumed deportations to Venezuela in October 2023, but the socialist dictatorship halted them in January after the U.S. reinstated economic sanctions. Gonzales described Venezuela’s strategy as effectively giving these criminals a “one-way trip to the United States.”

In a brazen display of violence, Tren de Aragua (TDA) members were linked to a June 24 jewelry heist in Denver, Colorado, where they posed as clients before pulling guns and viciously pistol-whipping two women. This ruthless attack in broad daylight sends a chilling message: these criminals are here, and they are unafraid to unleash chaos in our communities.

Federal authorities are now on high alert, as TDA has reportedly given the “green light” for attacks on police officers, signaling a new level of danger for law enforcement and the public alike.

We must urgently classify Venezuela as a high-risk nation and halt all entries from there immediately, especially given our current inability to deport their criminals. It’s time to shut the door on this escalating threat before more Americans lose their lives!

The Growing Threat of a Venezuelan Crime Network

The transnational Tren de Aragua, a notorious Venezuelan gang, has infiltrated the United States, posing a significant threat. March 7th, 2024

  • Recent court documents link Diego Ibarra, brother of Laken Riley’s killer, to the Tren de Aragua gang, highlighting its presence in the US.
  • The US Government is granting temporary parole status to Venezuelans despite the total inability to vet and identify individuals with criminal records or gang affiliation.
  • There is no information sharing between Venezuela and the US Gov’t.
  • Hamas is based in Venezuela and holds official government offices.

Tren de Aragua has emerged as the fastest-growing transnational criminal organization globally. Originating in Aragua state, northern Venezuela, the group has expanded its reach as millions of Venezuelans migrated, initially to other Latin American nations, and the gang has seemingly followed in their wake.

FBI El Paso has reported Tren De Aragua exploits the opportunity to move undetected amongst the surge of thousands of Venezuelan migrants, especially since they abandoned gang tattoos, allowing them to avoid alerting the US Border Patrol at our southern border.

Between 2018 and 2023, Tren de Aragua orchestrated a transnational criminal network, establishing cells in Colombia, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil, and now the United States. Their extensive criminal portfolio includes contract killings, guerilla warfare, extortion, loan sharking, kidnapping, torture, human trafficking for sexual exploitation, robberies, migrant smuggling, contraband, illegal mining, retail drug trafficking, cybercrime, and theft. Countries such as Chile, Peru, and Colombia have conducted substantial operations against the gang since 2022, especially on their borders.

The FBI has found alarming indications that a potential alliance is forming with the notoriously violent MS-13. The gang’s expansion is attributed to its strategic alliances with other organized crime networks, involving non-aggression pacts and, in some cases, partnerships to share criminal proceeds.

In Georgia, Diego Ibarra, aged 29, was arrested for possession of a counterfeit green card, used to secure employment at the University of Georgia, the same institution where his 22-year-old brother, Jose Ibarra, stands accused of the heinous murder of Laken Riley. The arrest and the subsequent revelation underscore a troubling connection between the Ibarra brothers and illicit activities.  

In Virginia, Venezuelan Renzo Mendoza Montes, 32, was arrested last week on two felony charges for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl released at the gang-preferred El Paso border crossing 5 months ago.

In New York, let’s not forget the Tren de Aragua gang charged in the brutal attack on NYPD cops in Times Square.

In Texas, FBI Special Agent Britton Boyd, El Paso, underscores Tren de Aragua’s focus on human smuggling and sex trafficking, particularly within Venezuelan migrant communities along the US-Mexico border. This raises concerns about the gang preying on vulnerable populations, engaging in extortion, and committing violent crimes to establish dominance.

In Texas, Former Border Patrol Agent Ammon Blair, Serving in the Rio Grand Valley Sector, paints a grim picture of the gang’s modus operandi, including extortion of migrant businesses.

Venezuelan nationals in the US and abroad are forced to cover for this gang, receiving death threats for snitching. In one case, this gang threatened to poison the water supply.

In the aftermath of an Arizona federal appeals court ruling last week that will allow individuals to vote without proof of citizenship, an election integrity expert is raising the alarm over the possibility of millions of illegal votes being cast due to a loophole in how individuals are registered to vote at their local DMV with the presidential election just three months away.

On Monday, Cleta Mitchell, founder of the Election Integrity Network, joined “Washington Watch” to analyze problems with verifying the citizenship of registered voters, starting with the Arizona court ruling.

“[P]oor Arizona, they’ve been trying for 20 years to be able to get documentary proof of citizenship in order to be able to register to vote in that state, literally starting in the early 2000s,” she lamented. “There is a statute in Arizona that you have to provide proof of citizenship when you register to vote. And they asked the Election Assistance Commission about a decade ago to add that to the federal form for use in Arizona, because Congress … 31 years ago passed what we call the ‘Motor Voter’ bill that requires every state to accept and use this federal form for voter registration. Arizona wanted to make sure that the form was consistent with its state law requiring documentary proof of citizenship.”

“However,” Mitchell continued, “the Supreme Court of the United States said that the Election Assistance Commission didn’t have the authority to do that because Congress didn’t put it in the language of the statute. So what the Supreme Court ordered as a remedy 11 years ago was for Arizona to be able to have two separate voter rolls. If you want to vote in state elections, you have to provide documentary proof of citizenship. But if you don’t have documentary proof of citizenship, guess what? You can register to vote on the federal only list, which means if you don’t prove citizenship, you can get a ballot for president, U.S. Senate, and U.S. House.”

Despite the appeals court setback, Mitchell expressed hope that the Arizona legislature will appeal the ruling to the Supreme Court due to gravity of the situation. “I hope that they’ll move for emergency consideration by the U.S. Supreme Court. And I wish that the Trump campaign would also weigh in, and a lot of people would weigh in and ask the court to keep Arizona from sending ballots to people who are not confirmed to be U.S. citizens. If you want to pick the number one thing I’m worried about for 2024, that’s it. And it’s not just in Arizona. It’s everywhere.”

In response to Democratic lawmakers who say that illegal voting is “not happening,” Mitchell detailed how non-citizens have gained access to ballots over the last two decades.

“[W]e know that it’s an issue because we know that there are non-citizens on the voter rolls,” she pointed out. “[We] have to remember that this has happened gradually. And the laws regarding the Help America Vote Act passed in 2002 says that every state … must verify identity and residency of a voter before adding that person to the voter rolls. What’s missing from that list? Citizenship, because nobody could envision a time when we would have massive disregard of our immigration laws by the existing administration. And so what we have is this massive number of illegals coming across the border. We have laws on the books against that. They’re here illegally. But somehow we’re supposed to imagine that the same people who came across the border illegally are somehow going to say, ‘Oh, but it’s illegal for me to register and vote?’”

Mitchell further emphasized how easy it is for illegal immigrants and non-citizens to get registered to vote.

“The two things that the federal law requires is confirming identity and residency for [voter] registration,” she explained. “Well, guess what? You know how you do that under this federal law? Driver’s license number and social security number. Every state issues driver’s licenses to non-citizens [living in the U.S. legally]. Nineteen states and the District of Columbia issue driver’s licenses to illegals. So what does that verify? [It] doesn’t verify citizenship. And the Social Security Administration issues Social Security numbers to non-citizens because they are supposed to be working with work permits if they’re here illegally. … That’s where they’re going to get their driver’s licenses and ID cards … and then they are getting registered to vote. And once they get on those rolls, you have no way of knowing whether they’re voting.”

“They know,” remarked guest host and former Congressman Jody Hice. “That’s why the borders have been wide open for the last three and a half years.” “They do know,” Mitchell nodded in agreement. One recent study found that up to 2.7 million non-citizens are likely to cast illegal votes in the November elections.

Mitchell pointed to the Only Citizens Vote Coalition as a way for the public to combat illegal voter registration. “We have formed the Only Citizens Vote Coalition. … We send out a weekly newsletter. We’ve created a national working group on Only Citizens Vote that meets by Zoom every Thursday at 11 a.m. EST. It’s free. We’re trying to get people activated. We’ve created toolkits and resources, and we’re going to have a national week in September to shine a bright light on the national online Only Citizens Vote Week. … We have got to create essentially a national citizens watch at our local DMV.”

Mitchell went on to put into perspective the outsize influence that non-citizens could have in the November elections.

“[T]here is a website called Justfacts.com [which] says on a very conservative basis that 10 to 12% of those who are in this country are non-citizens, and that includes both people here legally and illegally, because we have many, many people who are here legally [student visas, work visas, permanent residents with green cards], plus all these illegals. … The Department of Homeland Security says they don’t know how many there are, but [some] estimate 22 million. If 10% of those 22 million actually register and vote … how many does it take to flip Utah, which has mainly mail-in voting? How many does it take to flip North Dakota, which doesn’t have voter registration? People just show up and vote. And how are they supposed to deal with that?”

Mitchell concluded by encouraging conservatives to get involved at the local level by serving as poll watchers and election volunteers and turning out friends and family to vote in large numbers.

“[W]e have so many people around the country who’ve worked so hard on trying to clean voter rolls,” she highlighted. “I do urge people to sign up and be a poll observer and sign up to be an election worker. … I really do believe that it is going to take all of us getting everyone we know to vote. … I think [Trump] has to win by such big margins that they can’t manipulate the outcome. [T]he closer it is, the harder it is for us to overcome the shenanigans. But number one … let’s all work hard at getting our friends and neighbors and family members to register, to vote, and to look around and basically create a national neighborhood watch. Do we see pockets of illegals registering at driver’s license agencies? Raise the stink about it in your local communities.”

Vice President Kamala Harris’ choice for a running mate has a history of far-left positions and actions on immigration issues, a review of his record reveals.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is the Democratic vice presidential nominee for the 2024 ticket, Harris announced in an X post on Tuesday morning. The newly-minted running mate has opposed border enforcement and supported pro-illegal immigration policies while serving as governor and as a congressman, attracting the ire of immigration hawks.

Walz signed into law state legislation in March 2023 allowing illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses, opening the door for an estimated 81,000 undocumented aliens in Minnesota to apply for licenses. The Democratic governor said in a press release at the time that giving licenses to foreign nationals living in the state illegally would make “our roads safer.”

During his successful 2018 gubernatorial run, Walz publicly declared his support for “sanctuary” policies in Minnesota, according to CBS News.

“Here’s what I believe: Congress has given federal agencies the authority to enforce immigration laws in Minnesota, and I support their doing so,” the then-gubernatorial candidate said in 2018. “Congress has not given local law enforcement that same authority.”

“The role of law enforcement is to enforce state and local laws, not federal immigration laws, and I strongly believe that they should not do so,” his statement continued.

The statement largely reflected what sanctuary city advocates support: Noncooperation between local law enforcement and federal immigration authorities. Sanctuary jurisdictions typically decline to enforce detainer requests for criminal illegal migrants who are arrested, allowing them back into the community when they are released from local custody.

Walz additionally signed into law legislation that gives state-funded healthcare and free college tuition to illegal immigrants while governor.

Before being elected as governor, Walz served in Congress from 2007 to 2019. NumbersUSA, a group that supports stricter border enforcement, awarded his congressional career with a “D” rating on immigration issues, listing a slate of bills he co-sponsored that, according to the group, undermines border security.

Also as a representative, Walz publicly called then-President Donald Trump’s efforts to build a border wall “ridiculous“.

“Governor Walz supports measures that promote illegal immigration, including policies that allow undocumented migrants to obtain drivers licenses,” John Fabbricatore, a retired Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office director, told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

“His initiatives in Minnesota magnetize illegal immigration and dismiss the foundation of immigration law,” he continued.

Corporate media outlets recently locked arms to dispel Donald Trump’s assertion that illegal immigration hurts “black jobs,” yet experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the former president is right about the problem being all too real.

Trump said during a Q&A with the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) that “coming from the border are millions and millions of people that happen to be taking black jobs,” according to Politico, with the remarks igniting a bevy of critiques from corporate media outlets, with one going as far to say that “black jobs” don’t exist and others leaning on experts to characterize the assertion as “not true.” However, the reality is that immigration has a depressive effect on wages and employment, with experts pointing out how illegal immigration has disproportionately affected industries and localities where black Americans frequently work.

Immigration has been a driver of black unemployment for “over 200 years,” Andre Barnes, Historically Black Colleges and Universities engagement director at NumbersUSA, told the DCNF.

“During the First World War there was a halt to immigration, and all of a sudden, factories in the North could not get enough people to work, so where did they go for their labor supply? Black Americans.” Barnes told the DCNF. “We had the 1924 Immigration Act, and it reduced immigration from 700,000 to less than 200,000 per year, and the level stayed at less than 200,000 per year for over four years. And what did we see during that time period? You saw an increase in black employment. We saw an increase in black economic power.”

In response to those who doubt immigration’s effects on black employment, Barnes gave the example of a Smithfield Foods slaughterhouse in Tar Heel, North Carolina, which lost 1,500 immigrant workers after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid, according to The New York Times in 2008. After the raids, the factory saw its proportion of black workers go from 20% to 60%.

“When we’re talking about black jobs, we’re talking about these situations here,” Barnes said. “We’re talking about the meat packing jobs that are disappearing between the 90s and the early 2010s that went from majority black to majority Hispanic. That’s what people need to talk about when they’re talking about black jobs.”

In fiscal year 2023, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) had over 2 million encounters at the southern border, according to CBP data. Since President Joe Biden took office, there have been 1.7 million known “gotaways” that evaded border patrol, according to the House Committee on Homeland Security.

Most illegal immigrants originate from Mexico, according to Pew Research data in July. Those illegal immigrants make up large shares of multiple low-skill sectors, including agriculture, construction and manufacturing, according to Pew Research in 2020.

E.J. Antoni, a research fellow at the Grover M. Hermann Center for the Federal Budget at the Heritage Foundation, told the DCNF that since black workers are a large part of the low-skill labor force, the arrival of mostly low-skill immigrant workers means black Americans face pressure on their wages and employment.

“When President Trump says illegals are taking away black jobs, I don’t see any [other] way to interpret that than they are competing with black Americans who have those jobs,” Antoni said. “And because of the increased competition, they are losing those jobs. A disproportionate amount of black people have unskilled jobs, it has nothing to do with skin color.”

Immigration depresses wages and employment, particularly in the black community, due to the increase in labor supply, according to a 2010 study from the U.S. Commission for Civil Rights. It found that since the black community is “disproportionately employed in the low-skill labor market,” the effects of immigration affect black Americans more than other groups.

Gordon Hanson, urban policy professor at Harvard University and co-author on a 2006 National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) study on immigration and black employment, told the DCNF that while immigration affects labor markets, we’ve learned more since 2006 on its effects to certain demographics and what industries and places in America are most vulnerable.

“We’ve learned that immigration’s impact on labor markets depends much more on your occupation and where you live than on your demographic characteristics, such as your race or ethnicity,” Hanson told the DCNF. “If there are groups in the labor market, be it workers who are black, Hispanic, or others, who live in places where the local economy has declined or who have education or experience levels that leave them exposed to adverse events in the broader economy (such as globalization or technological change), then these groups are likely to be affected disproportionately by any such negative changes. But the impacts on these workers aren’t about their race or ethnicity. They are about the segment of the labor market that these workers happen to occupy.”

When the amount of workers increased by 10% from immigration, wages for black workers decreased by 4%, employment by 3.5% and black incarceration increased by 0.8%, according to the NBER in 2006. For white men, there was a 4.1% decrease in wages, but only a 1.6% decrease in employment and a 0.1% increase in white incarceration.

The Biden administration began in June to restrict new asylum requests at the southern border if the daily average over a week exceeds 2,500. However, jobs growth touted by the administration highly depends on immigrant labor, as foreign-born workers got drastically more jobs overall than native born Americans.

“Illegal immigration disproportionately affects black workers, including other minority workers, and we need to do everything to protect them from their jobs from being taken away,” Trump spokesperson Karoline Leavitt told the DCNF, saying that around 1.1 million jobs went to foreign-born workers as native-born Americans saw a 943,000 job decrease over the past year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).

“Black unemployment continues to be higher than when President Trump was in office, ” Leavitt said. “And real wages for black Americans are lower under Biden-Harris. That is why President Trump has promised the largest deportation operation in American history since President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Kamala Harris will give amnesty and citizenship to all 15 million illegal aliens and make permanent the assault on black American jobs.”

The two illegal Jordanian migrants who are charged with trying to breach Marine Corps Base Quantico in May posted thousands of dollars in bail and were allowed to leave federal custody, The Post can exclusively reveal.

Hasan Yousef Hamdan, 32, and Mohammad Khair Dabous, 28, were released from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention despite their immigration status — Hamdan had crossed into the country illegally in April and Dabous had overstayed his student visa and is subject to removal proceedings, law enforcement sources told The Post.

They were arrested on May 3 for trespassing onto the military installation and handed over to ICE officers because of their immigration statuses.

It’s still unknown why the men allegedly tried to get onto the base.

The site is home to the FBI Academy and FBI Laboratory, as well as a Defense Intelligence Agency facility and several major US Marine Corps commands — including the unit that flies the Marine One presidential helicopter.

“Big-time intel failure, security failure,” a federal law enforcement source told The Post.

“If it wasn’t an act of terrorism, why aren’t the government officials releasing the details of this? What was the intent?”…

The two Jordanian nationals lied to guards at Quantico and claimed they worked for an Amazon subcontractor and were there to make a delivery, Capt. Michael Curtis, a spokesman for the base, previously told The Post.

The officers quickly determined that the two had no business being there.

The men, who were in a box truck, ignored instructions of military guards and tried to drive onto the base before they were stopped by anti-vehicle barriers….

It took two weeks for top brass at Quantico to alert rank-and-file personnel of the attempted breach, Matt Strickland, 40, who had first flagged the incident to local new site Potomac Local News, previously told The Post….

The Exposé reports that at the end of last month, the WHO announced a new project to turbo-charge the development and distribution of mRNA vaccines in underdeveloped countries for, they say, a looming bird flu pandemic.

Medical Press reports:

“The UN health agency said the project would be rolled out through the mRNA technology transfer program it established with the UN-backed Medicines Patent Pool (MPP) in 2021, at the height of the covid-19 crisis.”

It was a couple of weeks earlier that Dr. Hotez, a prominent vaccine pusher and developer, called for deploying security forces, including police and military, to counter “anti-vaccine aggression” in the United States. He also suggested that the United Nations and NATO deploy security forces against “anti-vaxxers.”

In 2022, WHO showcased Hotez in a video to target “anti-vaccine activism” by blasting those who choose not to be vaccinated for supporting “anti-science aggression.” You can watch the 1-minute propaganda video here.

In an unexpected twist of fate that has left political pundits scratching their heads and reaching for their thesauruses, U.S. vice president Kamala Harris has stumbled into the spotlight for…not knowing what she does.

Yes, you heard it right!  In a recent appearance on CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Harris found herself in a pickle, trying to articulate her daily duties like a contestant on a game show where the prize is a lifetime supply of awkward silence.

Emily Compagno, co-host of Fox News’s Outnumbered, jumped at the chance to roast Harris harder than a marshmallow at a summer camp bonfire.  She declared that Harris is a “drag” on the administration, which is a bold claim, considering that most people think a drag is just an excellent costume party theme.  Compagno suggested that Harris’s responsibilities may include perfecting the art of invisibility, because when defining her role, Harris seemed more elusive than a cat at bath time.

The Outnumbered panel, notorious for their sharp wit and sharper critique, echoed Compagno’s sentiments.  They speculated that Harris might moonlight as a magician, making her duties disappear faster than your motivation to exercise on a Monday morning.  Clearly, the vice president’s ability to communicate her responsibilities has become a national mystery, rivaling only the Bermuda Triangle and why we still can’t find a decent parking spot at the mall.

Another Fox News contributor, David Webb, jumped into the fray, implying that Harris’s career has been as remarkable as a beige wall in a poorly lit room.  Who knew that the vice presidency could be such a snooze-fest?  Webb’s comments have even led to speculation that Harris might be the first vice president to hold a secret identity as a background character in a sitcom — always there but never quite part of the action.

The criticism has sparked a national debate: what exactly does a vice president do anyway?  Is it just a glorified title that comes with an extra seat at the table?  Perhaps Harris’s daily responsibilities include perfecting her role as the “Vice President of Not Quite Sure,” or maybe she’s just waiting for her real job title to be revealed on the next episode of The Bachelor.

As the criticism rolls in, many Americans wonder if Harris has a secret superpower we’re unaware of — like the ability to make her duties vanish into thin air.  Meanwhile, the Biden administration probably wish they had a magic wand to make this situation disappear, too.

Watching Harris talk makes us feel as though she stumbled upon a secret language only she and her hand gestures understand.  One moment, she’s delivering what sounds like a TED Talk on “The Importance of Being Unclear,” and the next, she’s conducting an orchestra.  You half-expect her to break into a spontaneous interpretive dance about the importance of infrastructure — complete with jazz hands and a dramatic spin that would make any Broadway star jealous.  If hand movements were an Olympic sport, she’d bring home the gold while the rest of us are left scratching our heads, wondering if we should be clapping or calling for a translator!

And let’s not even get started on that smile!  You know the one — it’s a mix between “I just solved world hunger” and “I have no idea what I’m talking about.”  It’s as if her hands are auditioning for a role in a silent film while her words are auditioning for a part in a horror movie.  You can almost hear the crowd murmuring, “Is she talking about policy or trying to order a pizza?”  Ultimately, her speeches are like abstract art: you can stare at them for hours, trying to find meaning, only to walk away thinking, “Well, I guess I just don’t get it.”

As Vice President Kamala Harris navigates the tricky waters of defining her role, Emily Compagno and her colleagues at Outnumbered serve up commentary hotter than a jalapeño popper at a summer barbecue.  So what will happen next in this saga of political ambiguity?  Will Harris finally declare her duties, or will she remain the enigma wrapped in a blazer?  Only time — and perhaps a few more late-night talk show appearances — will tell!

As many of you know, I authored the first book-length critical study of the U.S. refugee resettlement program. That book, Stealth Invasion, came out in 2017 and was banned by Amazon in 2022. It’s still available at Barnes and Noble.

I am including an article in the latter half of this post that was originally posted July 31, 2024, by the Dallas Express. It illustrates that the more things change the more they stay the same when it comes to our government’s penchant for bringing in more government-dependent welfare recipients from the Third World. The numbers, however, are truly staggering.

The majority of refugees are still coming from nations with cultures that exhibit a profound hatred of America. Of the top three countries of origin, Democratic Republic of Congo, Afghanistan and Syria, two of them — Afghanistan and Syria — are countries that serve as hotbeds of Islamic terrorism. Other terror-supporting countries, Somalia, Iraq and Sudan, are also on the list of top 12 countries of origin.

Instead of nine private agencies contracting with the U.S. State Department to distribute foreign refugees into American cities and towns, we now have 11. Seven of the 11 are overtly religious, working under the banner of Jewish or Christian nameplates, including Church World Services, World Relief Corp., the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services, Episcopal Migration Ministries, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, and the new guy on the block, Bethany Christian Services. All of these agencies get paid on a per head basis for every refugee they resettle into the United States. The sheer numbers of incoming refugees reported by the Dallas Express article are staggering, at 100,000 in fiscal 2024. The article shows where the refugees are coming from and how many are going to which states.

As the border crisis wages on, the Biden-Harris administration has trumpeted the admittance of the most refugees into the U.S. in three decades.

The federal fiscal year will end on September 30, and so far in FY 2024, 68,291 refugees were resettled into the U.S.

Last month, the Biden-Harris administration released a fact sheet to celebrate the “rebuilt U.S. refugee admissions program” (USRAP) in which the following were highlighted:

  • Plans to welcome more than 100,000 refugees to their new U.S. communities in Fiscal Year 2024, the most in three decades
  • It upgraded its main technology system to ensure “it scales for unprecedented goals in resettling refugees”. This increased functionality in global case management systems (electronic review of information, digitization of registration forms, expansion of video-teleconference interviews, etc.), has led to faster processing times. Other measures included concurrent processing, adding circuit rides, hiring new staff, opening additional U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services international field offices in the Middle East, and contracting an additional resettlement agency to assist refugees upon arrival.
  • It launched a new automated process that streamlines the process for refugees (and other eligible populations) to obtain Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) and Social Security cards.
  • It integrated refugee vetting into the National Vetting Center to simplify “the ways that DHS uses intelligence and law enforcement information to inform decisions, while maintaining strong privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties protections.”
  • It launched the “Welcome Corps” program, “the boldest innovation in refugee resettlement in more than 40 years”. The program allows private individuals in the United States (including newly resettled refugees and other newcomers) to select their own refugees and future American citizens. By doing so, the Biden administration eliminated the geographic boundaries to resettlement.
  • The “Welcome Corps” was further expanded to include the “Welcome Corps on Campus”, bringing “refugees” straight to U.S. campuses; and the “Welcome Corps at Work,” bringing them straight to U.S. jobs.
  • It created the Safe Mobility initiative in partnership with the UN refugee agency (the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR) and the International Organization for Migration to expand “lawful pathways” to the United States for refugees and vulnerable migrants in South and Central America. Safe Mobility offices in Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Guatemala were opened to facilitate refugees’ and migrants’ access to the United States, including resettlement, family reunification, humanitarian parole, and labor opportunities.
  • It is opening avenues for resettlement for human rights activists and “LGBTQI+” refugees, strengthening the U.S. embassies’ ability to refer refugees, and expanding NGO referrals for refugees.
  • It expanded access to USRAP for Afghans. In August 2021, the administration announced a special refugee designation (Priority 2 (P-2)) for certain Afghans and their family members.

The Center for Immigration Studies provided more details on how the Biden administration “methodically rebuilt and modernized” the USRAP.

According to the Center for Immigration Studies, the Biden-Harris administration expanded the Domestic Resettlement Network.

Religious or community-based organizations, called resettlement agencies (formerly known as ‘volags’) have contracts with the Department of State to resettle refugees inside the United States. The Biden administration added a tenth resettlement agency (Bethany Christian Services) to the existing nine.

These resettlement agencies maintain nationwide networks of local affiliates to assist with the reception and placement of refugees (and other eligible newcomers) and provide them with services and assistance. More than 150 local resettlement offices were opened or reopened, bringing the total local affiliates to more than 350.

More than 300 Refugee Officers were hired as over 80,000 refugee applicants overseas were interviewed by refugee officers in the first half of 2024.

The Department of State, Department of Homeland Security, and the U.S. Digital Service redesigned overseas processing by switching to concurrent steps instead of sequential steps.  The process became digitized and automatic, streamlining the process for Employment Authorization Documents and Social Security cards for refugees.

Below are the monthly refugee admissions, top nationalities, and resettlement states witnessed thus far in FY 2024 (October 1, 2023-June 30,2024). July 2024’s data has not been released yet.

Brampton, Ontario – In a landmark legal decision, Ontario Court of Justice Judge Paul Monahan has overturned the conviction of Ms. Meththa Fernando, who was previously found guilty of failing to comply with an order under Section 58 of the Quarantine Act.

Ms. Fernando was charged after she refused to undergo a random COVID-19 test upon arriving at Pearson International Airport on April 9, 2022. Although vaccinated, she declined the nasal swab test, which was to be conducted by Public Health Agency of Canada officer Joshua Roxas. Her refusal led to a conviction and a fine totaling $6,255.

Fernando, represented by non-lawyer Mr. Christopher Weisdorf, appealed the conviction, challenging the legal grounds under which the nasal swab test was mandated. Central to the appeal was the argument that the Quarantine Act did not authorize the use of screening technology involving the entry of any instrument into a traveler’s body.

Justice Monahan ruled in favour of Ms. Fernando, emphasizing the provisions of Section 14 of the Quarantine Act, which states that screening technology must not involve the entry into the traveler’s body of any instrument or foreign body.

4. The mildly funny thing about the communists in item 2 is how amazingly stunted they are compared to the communists running the US Govt. In Stephen C’s brief about Marxism’s war on women, he explains that “you can know everything there is to know about Marxism and nothing about dialectics and we lose. But if you know everything about dialectics and nothing about Marxism we can win.” I would hazard a guess that the communists in item 2 know about Marxism in a sense. But the people in control, they use dialectics.

Six Dems Vote In Favor Of Resolution Bashing Biden And ‘Border Czar’ Harris’ Failures

Six House Democrats voted in favor of a resolution condemning President Joe Biden’s administration and Vice President Kamala Harris for their “failure to secure the United States border” on Thursday.

H. Res. 1371 was introduced by Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik to formally condemn “Border Czar” Harris’ immigration policy after she was tasked with reducing illegal immigration over the southern border early in the Biden administration. The resolution passed the House with 196 Democrats voting against it and six Democrats joining 214 Republicans in favor of it.

Democratic Reps. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington, Mary Sattler Peltola of Alaska, Jared Golden of Maine, Donald Davis of North Carolina, Henry Cuellar of Texas and Yadira Caraveo of Colorado, voted in favor of the resolution.

The resolution was cosponsored by Republican Reps. Neal Dunn of Florida, Greg Lopez of Colorado and Mike Bost of Illinois.

“Kamala Harris, every elected Democrat, and their stenographers in the mainstream media will run from their record, but they can’t hide,” Stefanik said in a post on X. “House Republicans will hold Kamala Harris accountable for her role as Biden’s Border Czar leading to the most catastrophic border crisis in modern history.”

The Biden-Harris administration has overseen record influxes of illegal immigration. Since Biden took office, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has encountered nearly eight million migrants, with over 83,000 encounters between ports of entry along the southern border in June alone, according to CBP data.

During former President Donald Trump’s term, every month saw fewer encounters on the southern border compared to June 2024 numbers, with some exceptions in fiscal year 2019, according to CBP data.

The House resolution highlights Harris’ dismal immigration track record, pointing out that it took the “Border Czar” over 90 days on the job before she finally made her way to the southern border on June 25, 2021. The resolution also pointed out the surges in violent crime that have occurred due to the illegal immigration that has taken place under Harris’ watch.

The resolution brought attention to the innocent Americans like Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungaray and Rachel Morin. All three women were allegedly murdered by illegal immigrants.

“Kamala Harris failed as Border czar leading to violent crimes, rapes, and murders of innocent Americans,” Stefanik said in a statement on X. “We will hold her and Far Left Democrats accountable.”

30 Million Migrants Flood U.S. Workforce, including 8 Million Illegals

The workforce is known for its competitive nature, and statistics have revealed the competition is getting increasingly tense — but for reasons people may not immediately expect. According to the Pew Research Center, since 2022, over 30 million immigrants — legal and illegal — have entered the country and obtained American jobs. That equates to a 20% increase over the last 15 years. For legal immigrants specifically, there’s been just shy of a 30% increase since 2007. By comparison, native-born Americans are on experiencing only a 10% increase in jobs.

What this data demonstrates is the reality that legal immigrants, illegal immigrants, and visa workers alike are “outpacing” Americans in the workforce. Breitbart News reported, “The data shows that the federal government has used mass immigration as a labor policy to fill the U.S. workforce with millions of newly arrived migrants that working- and middle-class Americans are forced to compete against in the labor market.” They added that this “trend has been mostly prominent on President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’s watch.”

To break it down even further, Pew noted “lawful immigrants made up the majority of the immigrant workforce at 22.2 million,” making the number of unauthorized workers 8.3 million. Additionally, Heritage Economist E.J. Antoni shared on X, “Over the last year, 943k native-born Americans lost jobs on net, while foreign-born workers picked up almost 1.2 million jobs.”

Some experts have made clear that this problem should not be taken lightly. Robert Law of America First Policy Institute expressed in a comment to The Washington Stand, “The Biden-Harris administration’s border security and economic policies have significantly harmed the wages, economic opportunities, and security of the American people.”

For months, TWS and other outlets have reported on the dangers of the wide-open southern border — specifically during the Biden administration. A survey from late February revealed “over 80% of Americans consider illegal immigration a ‘serious’ problem,” with 61% considering it “very serious.” And from more recent data, results from a June Gallup poll found “nearly three-quarters of U.S. adults think the situation at the southern U.S. border is a crisis or a major problem.”

As evidenced over the last several months, Americans are concerned about their cities running “out of room” as they’re overwhelmed with incoming migrants. Several states, especially those with so-called “sanctuary cities,” have seen their schools, airports, and other such public facilities effected by the tsunami of migrants. The border crisis has created various other crises, including the increased concern of human-trafficking and terror threats. Bills have been introduced in Congress to protect election integrity as Democrats lobby for non-citizens to vote. Even health concerns have been raised as medical professionals point out that “any number of infectious and communicable diseases” could be streaming across the border.

In addition to these variables, states such as California have put taxpayer dollars toward funding gender procedures for illegals. And as Bloomberg previously highlighted, places like New York City are predicted “to spend a combined $9.1 billion housing migrants in fiscal years 2024 and 2025.” Americans have also been subjected to a shocking growth of violent crime, including murders, assault and harassment, theft and robbery, child endangerment, rape, and more. Keeping these realities in mind, it comes as no surprise that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has placed securing the border and mass deportation as the top two priorities on the new GOP platform.

Now, Americans have to grasp the fact that roughly eight million illegal immigrants now hold U.S. jobs. As Law, who also ran the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) policy office during the Trump administration, told TWS, the jobs being taken by illegals “are not jobs Americans won’t do.” As he noted, it seems Americans “are being sidelined by administration policies that put American workers last.” And to add to the chaos that’s already ensued, Law pointed out that “the Biden-Harris policy of giving work permits to millions of illegal aliens enriches the cartels and fuels human trafficking.”

And the reality is, he concluded, “Many of the legal work visa programs are easily manipulated to the detriment of American workers, but the current administration does not appear to be conducting any oversight.”

The border crisis could reach new heights or largely remain unchanged if Vice President Kamala Harris ends up winning the presidential election in 2024, border hawks warn.

President Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race Sunday and immediately endorsed Harris, making her the leading contender to snag the party’s delegates at the upcoming Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August. Her past voting record in the Senate, comments she’s made about federal immigration authorities and recent actions taken in the White House all signal a sharp pivot left if she were to win election.

“I would say more of the same or potentially even worse,” Eric Ruark, research director for NumbersUSA, a group that works toward limiting illegal immigration into the U.S., said in a conversation with the Daily Caller News Foundation about possible border policy changes if Harris were to replace Biden at the Oval Office. “Biden had a history of being at least rhetorically against illegal immigration.”

“Harris has yet to come out and say, ‘it’s a crime and we need to enforce the law,” Ruark continued. “Clearly she was tasked with addressing the border crisis by President Biden, and her approach was basically to say, ‘don’t come.’ That was the extent of her policy approach.”

NumbersUSA publishes “report cards” on every single lawmaker in Congress, evaluating how they performed on immigration and other border security issues. During her short time in the Senate before leaving for the White House, Harris earned an F- rating, the lowest possible score offered by the group.

The then-Senator earned failing grades for votes on a host of immigration-related issues, such as border security, interior enforcement, refugee management and amnesty, according to NumbersUSA.

NumbersUSA highlighted her 2019 co-sponsorship of the RAIDER Act, which would’ve blocked then-President Donald Trump’s construction of the U.S.-Mexico border wall, and her 2019 co-sponsorship of the FACE Act, which would’ve made it more difficult for Trump to continue border wall construction. The group also graded her vote against the Secure and Protect Act which, they argue, would’ve positively reformed the Flores Settlement.

Other border hawks expressed trepidation over Harris’ enforcement record.

“Kamala Harris wasn’t just Biden’s Border Czar, she was his Abolish ICE Director — directing the agency in charge of enforcing our immigration laws to willfully violate them,” RJ Hauman, president of the National Immigration Center for Enforcement (NICE), told the DCNF. “Now that Biden is out of the picture, she is sure to return to some of the most insane anti-enforcement positions that we’ve ever seen from an elected official.”

As illegal border crossings quickly climbed early in the administration’s tenure, Biden tapped Kamala to lead an effort to address the root causes of unlawful migration from Central America, a position many described as “border czar.” However, Border Patrol encounters at the southern border went on to reach recording-setting levels since her appointment, according to the latest Customs and Border Protection data.

Enforcement experts have noted that the root causes of illegal immigration still remain unaddressed and lawmakers in Congress have sought to hold Harris specifically responsible for the ongoing border crisis. Harris was also heavily criticized for taking so long to finally visit the southern border.

“The choice in November will now be even more clear — mass deportation or mass release of illegal aliens and violent criminals into American communities,” Hauman continued.

Harris compared Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to the Ku Klux Klan during a November 2018 Senate confirmation hearing, asking Ron Vitiello, a nominee to lead the agency at the time, if he knew there was a “perception” among Latino immigrants that ICE agents operate like Klan members. Then-Senator Harris had also suggested during a June 2018 media interview that ICE should essentially be abolished and rebuilt again “from scratch.”

Upon election to the White House, the Biden-Harris administration oversaw a monumental overhaul of the policies established by President Donald Trump that beefed up border and interior enforcement, undertaking 89 executive actions that specifically reversed or began the process of reversing Trump’s immigration policies, according to an analysis by the Migration Policy Institute.

The White House immediately halted construction of the U.S.-Mexico border wall, shuttered the Remain in Mexico program that had largely eliminated asylum fraud by keeping asylum seekers in Mexico while their cases were adjudicated in the court system, and they attempted to enforce a 100-day moratorium on all deportations.

If Trump were to be successful in his re-election bid, Ruark said the Republican would need to do more than offer criticisms of Harris, but also put forward a policy platform on how his administration would hit the ground running on day one to “undo the damage” the Biden administration has done on border security.

In his Republican National Convention speech last week, Trump promised the “largest deportation operation” in the country’s history,  finishing construction of the U.S.-Mexico border wall and other hardline approaches to border security.

One local border leader noted the incredible burden the current border crisis has placed on the district he represents.

“Under Biden with the open border, we had over 150,000 people dropped in the streets here in San Diego County from a period of about eight or nine months,” San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond said Monday to the DCNF.

“It put pressure on our law enforcement, put pressure on our hospitals and shelters, and we bore all the burden of these people just freely and willingly able to cross the border,” Desmond continued, noting that it was Harris who was placed into a leadership position by the Biden administration to address the crisis. “She has failed us on the border.”

Desmond noted that the border crisis isn’t a “red or blue” issue, but something that’s been affecting everyone in his district, particularly those with homes near the border who’ve had to deal with a constant flow of asylum seekers passing through their property.

Since Biden withdrew from the race and endorsed Harris, a growing number of Democratic leaders have gotten in line behind the vice president’s fledgling candidacy, establishing her as the presumptive nominee before the DNC convenes on Aug. 19 in Chicago.

“What we’ve seen from her career in the Senate and the public statements she’s made, it would only get worse,” Ruark said of the border situation. “As bad as things are, they can get worse, and that’s something we should all realize.”

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the DCNF.

Republican Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles introduced articles of impeachment Tuesday against Vice President Kamala Harris, citing high crimes and misdemeanors.

Ogles explained to the Daily Caller that he believes Harris “knowingly breached the public’s trust by failing to invoke the 25th Amendment after it became clear that Joe Biden was mentally and physically unfit to serve as president” and said “immediate action must be taken.”

“Time and again, Kamala Harris has refused to uphold her oath to the U.S. Constitution, and she must be impeached. Her breathtaking incompetence as Border Czar has allowed a crisis of drugs, rape, and murder to flood the streets of America,” Ogles told the Daily Caller after introducing the articles.

On June 27, Trump and Biden squared off in their first debate in Atlanta, which was followed by an avalanche of calls for Biden to step down amid his performance. Biden has since stepped down as the nominee, while power players within the Democratic Party, including Democratic California Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, have coalesced around Harris in a matter of days.

It is unclear how much support Ogles articles of impeachment will have by House Republicans.

My family living in Venezuela, Colombia, Uruguay and Brazil send our best wishes to Peter Navarro the former Trade Advisor to President Trump.

He is recognized as a hero in my family and we understand he is now wearing a badge of honor as a former political prisoner of the corrupt Biden weaponized Marxist government.

Mr. Navarro refused to comply with an unconstitutional edict forced upon him by the Communist Democrats led by Nancy Pelosi and it cost him 4 months of his life in a Biden federal prison.

American President Joe Biden and the Marxist dictator of Venezuela my former country share the same political and economic ideology. Crush free markets, kill pre born babies, disarm law abiding Americans and eliminate self sufficiency to guarantee total government control over your life.

My life in Venezuela was good under a conservative republic government much like the ideas embraced by former President Trump. I had a large savings account, my home was paid for and my job as the Director of Accounting at a large company was a successful secure career.

Then the Communists took control under Hugo Chavez with his false sweet charming words and fake promises of government security and free healthcare.

Once in power Chavez first disarmed the law abiding Venezuelan citizens with gun buy back schemes and then once disarmed Chavez engaged in a full blown assault on my freedoms.

His Marxist gangs killed one of my family members when he refused to comply with his Communist ideology and he paid with his life with a bullet to his head. Sound familiar?

Hugo Chavez spent money our nation did not have, he used our vast oil wealth as collateral for insane loans he could not afford to pay back and my former country collapsed economically. Inflation destroyed my bank account to zero.

Hugo Chavez removed free market job creating capitalists, he banned entrepreneurs from countries like the USA and Germany from doing business and he forced impossible minimum wage rules on small businesses.

Such is the reality in California but by a different process under the current leadership of Socialist Governor Gavin Newsom who is destroying this great state economically.

When Hugo Chavez died a new dictator took control of Venezuela under the heavy hand of his hand picked successor Nicolas Maduro.

Businesses and family stores continued to shut down in Venezuela because they could not pay the minimum wages forced upon them by the government and so called wealth equality. Sound familiar?

My job was terminated because Maduro did not agree with the product and profits and services we provided.

When the German companies left Venezuela our highly advanced and modern metro rail system became obsolete and partially inoperable. The Germans stopped providing the parts and equipment and maintenance required to run it.

Our infrastructure decayed and our roads once maintained with 10 inches of tarmac for strong freeway’s and long lasting freedom of movement was reduced to 2 inches of tarmac due to inflationary construction costs.

These poorly maintained roads last a year or two and wash out easily during the rainy season.

The Biden Administration like Nicolas Maduro have a failing economy, no money for infrastructure and a weaponized Justice system. Mr. Navarro was imprisoned for his political opposition to Biden as are other brave Americans. You know who they are.

We have an election in Venezuela on July 28th 2024 and with the will of the people seeking the freedoms and economic prosperity they enjoyed before Communism destroyed us, the nation and the people will remove Maduro.

Not even the Venezuelan military support him anymore since his threat to invade Guyana. He’s lost his cornerstone of protection.

Over 70 political opponents in Venezuela been recently been arrested and imprisoned to prevent their voice from being heard. Bad decision. Biden and Maduro work the same way. Mr. Navarro is an example.

I was fortunate to get 10 years of protected asylum in the Republic of Colombia before I met my husband and relocated to Florida in the United States (A republic not a democracy) as a legal Green Card holder resident in January 2024.

I gifted my beautiful house in the mountains of Caracas Venezuela to my mom, I left all my friends behind and my Venezuelan bank account is worthless. I destroyed by Venezuelan credit cards and debit card.

I warn you not to follow the path of the Biden Communists. Where can you go if this Republic falls ? You (we) have no place left to go.

I gifted my husband 500 million Bolivar Pesos as a souvenir and memory of the once wealthy free nation of Venezuela and my once strong savings account.

It used to be worth $50,000 now it’s worth $13 U.S dollars. How much is the U.S. dollar worth under the Biden economy? How much is a loaf of bread ?

I cannot vote until I become a U.S. citizen but my advice to you is return Trump back to the White House if you want to keep your Republic free and your prosperity returned.

Poll Finds Majority of Surveyed Voters Feel America Is ‘Spiraling Out of Control’

Former President Donald Trump scarcely escaped death after Saturday’s assassination attempt, and America is not the same because of it. In fact, following the attack, Reuters/Ipsos conducted a two-day poll to see just how U.S. citizens are faring with the tragic events. It appears they’re not doing all too well.

The poll surveyed 1,202 U.S. adults across the nation, as well as 992 registered voters this week. According to the results, 80% of these voters, including both Democrats and Republicans, fear “the country is spiraling out of … control.” Additionally, “Some 84% of voters in the poll said they were concerned that extremists will commit acts of violence after the election,” which is set to take place November 5.

The poll compared data to that of one they conducted in June of 2023. Last year, 60% of the respondents admitted concern that political beliefs would lead to acts of violence within their communities. This year, that number rose to 67%. Also last year, 12% of those surveyed claimed they feared violence, but that “it was acceptable for someone in their political party to commit violence to achieve a political goal” — a number that fell to 5% in this recent poll.

But perhaps most interesting is that Reuters/Ipsos felt inclined to examine how people viewed the spiritual side of these circumstances. If anything has been made abundantly clear as we process this attempted murder, it’s that many consider it “divine intervention” that the bullet just grazed Trump’s ear rather than ending his life. This is evidenced by the poll, which found 65% of registered Republicans and 11% of registered Democrats believed “Trump’s survival showed he was ‘favored by divine providence or God’s will.’”

As Dr. Albert Mohler and Family Research Council President Tony Perkins discussed earlier this week, there is, indeed, a Christian response to Saturday’s shooting. Mohler, the president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, went on to say that what happened to Trump is truly “an affirmation of the gift of life.” But what he also said, and what may be relevant to these poll results, is that it was “a parable of human sinfulness.” When looking at it this way, maybe, just maybe, it’s not so surprising that people feel the country is “spiraling out of control.”

Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old young man who attempted to kill Trump, is an example of the sinful world we live in. In comments to The Washington Stand, David Closson, the director of the Center for Biblical Worldview at FRC, explained, “A deep insight of the biblical worldview is that we live in a fallen world.” As Genesis three teaches, it is “because of man’s rebellion against God, we live in a deeply disordered, sinful, [and] fallen world.” As such, he added, “Whatever the ideology of the shooter on Saturday, desiring to take someone’s life [and] committing an act of violence — that is the fruit of a deeply disordered heart and soul. It’s a result of sin” and “the world that we live in.”

Ultimately, “for Christians trying to process what took place,” Closson argued that there are “two major theological themes that we can see unfolding before us.” First, as previously noted, is that of sin. “The fact that someone thought it was morally permissible to take a gun to a political rally and … shoot a bullet at a candidate that you disagree with … is a parable of a sinful, fallen world.” But more importantly unfolding here, Closson urged, is the theme of God’s providence.

He elaborated, “Christians believe that at all times and at all moments, God is there. Christ is holding the world together and nothing happens without His allowance and being aware of it.” Closson emphasized this is the same God who “knows when a sparrow falls.” And we see His providence in the fact that the “bullet grazed the former president’s head, rather than being a kill shot.” But beyond the picture of God’s grace demonstrated in Trump’s survival, Closson urged that this is an opportunity for Christians to preach the good news of God’s providence over all creation.

“The events of recent years, even including the COVID-19 pandemic, have really brought a lot of people to their knees,” he stated. “It’s the developments that we see around us, whether a national tragedy or just the daily hardships of life, [that] remind us … we are needy people.” And as Christians, we “can look around the broader culture and realize that people are in desperate need of hope. Everybody is looking for hope.”

As Closson argued, “Every worldview, every religion, [and] every philosophy of life attempts to offer an explanation for where we can find hope.” And yet, he continued, “the biblical worldview holds out … the most intellectually satisfying and compelling answer, which is the hope Christianity offers the world is Jesus Christ” and “the gospel that sinful men and women can be reconciled to Holy God through faith and repentance in Jesus Christ.”

And so, he concluded, as the world feels America is swirling into chaos, there is a hope the church has to offer. “Christians have an opportunity, when they look around at their neighbors and friends who are scared, depressed … [and] confused,” to “leverage hardships for gospel opportunity.” For no matter our circumstances, what greater hope is there than Christ Himself?

Recently, local officials turned whistleblowers have provided Judicial Watch with critical intel on the alarming escalation of activity at our southern border.

As major southern border crossings draw mainstream media attention amidst an unprecedented illegal immigration crisis, remote areas with no Border Patrol presence are becoming entry points for “fighting age males” dressed in military uniforms.

This significant security lapse is underreported, yet local, federal, and state law enforcement have provided Judicial Watch with detailed accounts, diagrams, and photos, highlighting the terrorization of residents in an Arizona town near the Mexican border. They blame the Biden administration’s open border policies for the escalating issues.

Santa Cruz and Pima County regions in southwestern Arizona are experiencing a surge in violence and crime fueled by Mexican cartels involved in drug and human smuggling. Fourth and fifth-generation cattle farmers are finding dead bodies and drug paraphernalia on their properties, alongside thousands of illegal immigrants captured on security cameras since President Biden took office. A veteran law enforcement official reported that violent activity has drastically increased over the past three years, with American citizens in the communities of Amado and Arivaca feeling much less safe compared to the Trump administration era.

Key Issues:

  • Unmanned Border Patrol Checkpoints: An unmanned checkpoint east of Arivaca raises significant security concerns, yet DHS has no plans to deploy agents.
  • Organized Movements: Local and law enforcement sources confirm an influx of young men, likely organized by Mexican cartels, dressed in camouflaged military uniforms and equipped with camouflaged backpacks and carpet booties to hide footprints.
  • Rancher Reports: Ranchers report a tenfold increase in illegal immigrants on their properties, with over 3,560 recorded since Biden became president. Border Patrol presence is scarce due to the overwhelming number of migrants.
  • Environmental Impact: Large piles of discarded carpet booties and plastic waste litter the area and pose hazards to cattle, which often ingest the trash and fall ill or die from traces of drugs left behind by smugglers. Mexican cattle crossing into the U.S. further threaten to introduce diseases to American livestock, posing a risk to the U.S. food industry.
  • Community Impact: The violence and environmental degradation are causing the populations of small towns like Arivaca to dwindle rapidly. From a population of 1,200 a few years ago, only about 600 remain, with many relocating to Green Valley or Tucson. The U.S. Forest Service has ceased monitoring certain areas due to safety concerns.

Law enforcement officials and residents believe the situation will worsen if Biden is reelected. Similar issues are seen in other small towns, such as those in Cochise County, where human and drug traffickers, including U.S. citizens recruited by Mexican cartels, create dangerous conditions by evading the limited Border Patrol force.

When are these militarized cartels going to start formally taking possession of cities and carving out territories as they’ve already done in Mexico, Central America, and most of South America? Reports have already surfaced that Venezuelan gangs are running some cities in Texas.

Organized, uniformed soldiers are marching across our borders! This is the legal definition of an “invasion,” and very dangerous.

All states must declare an invasion and protect their borders. This action is justified by invoking both Article IV, § 4, which mandates the federal government to “protect each [State] against invasion,” and Article I, § 10, Clause 3, which affirms “the States’ sovereign interest in protecting their borders.” In addition, Congress must designate the Cartels as a terrorist organization.

She attended Yale for her undergraduate degree and, after earning her Masters at Cambridge, returned to Yale for law school where she met Vance, he recalled in his memoir “Hillbilly Elegy.”

She built upon a prestigious educational CV with an even more impressive career resume.

She clerked for current Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh when he was on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in 2014-2015 and then for Supreme Court Justice John Roberts from 2017-2018, according to ABC News.

Following her clerkship for Roberts, she returned to her previous firm, Munger, Tolles & Olson, to serve as a trial lawyer, according to her LinkedIn. She left the firm shortly after Trump announced Vance as his running mate.

“Usha has informed us she has decided to leave the firm,” a Munger, Tolles & Olson spokesperson told Bloomberg Law. “Usha has been an excellent lawyer and colleague, and we thank her for her years of work and wish her the best in her future career.”

In his book, Vance describes Usha as being one of the most blunt people he’s ever met. She had “an extraordinarily direct way of speaking,” he wrote in “Hillbilly Elegy.”

“Where others might have asked meekly, ‘Yeah, maybe you could rephrase this?’ or “Have you thought about this other idea?’ Usha would say simply: ‘I think this sentence needs work’ or ‘This is a pretty terrible argument.’ At a bar, she looked up at a mutual friend of ours and said, without a hint of irony, ‘You have a very small head.’ I had never met anyone like her,” he wrote.

Data collected between February of 2021 and January of 2024 revealed “464,922 [unaccompanied] children have been encountered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection police nationwide.” Some experts, such as those from the child immigrant aid organization Kids in Need of Defense, have explained this surplus of unaccompanied minors was “expected” and likely due to “U.S. measures implemented at the border during the coronavirus pandemic.” But what is shocking, experts have gone on to point out, is how the whereabouts of thousands of these children are unknown, with the biggest concern being that many are becoming victims of human trafficking.

These concerns flooded the mainstream media as whistleblowers testified in a roundtable discussion on Tuesday. The accusation laid forth is that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Department of Labor are guilty “of covering up how the government and contracted companies have failed to properly care for 500,000 parentless immigrant children in government custody at the border,” the Washington Examiner reported.

Acknowledging the outcry, HHS Secretary Xavier Bacerra said, “No child has gone missing under our watch.” But Allison Dyer pointed out on X that not only is Bacerra’s statement false, but she used information collected by a New York Times report to highlight that “85,000 unaccompanied children released to sponsors in the United States by our government are unable to be accounted for,” meaning “their whereabouts or welfare are unknown.”

Emphasizing a point similar to Dyer, Senator Bill Cassidy (R-La.), who also serves on the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, argued that the claims that these children are not unaccounted for shows a “blatant lack of transparency with the American people.” He added, “Frankly, it is hard to see this as anything other than an effort to cover up and shield the Biden administration from scrutiny for its mistreatment and mishandling of unaccompanied children, particularly in an election year where the president is behind in the polls.”

HHS whistleblower Deborah White described the circumstances as “taxpayer-funded child slavery,” and she noted that part of what led to this was the government “prioritizing speed over safety.” As a result, she stated, children are being sent to abandoned houses, unsafe homes, and even one case in which “a child was sent to an open field,” which only further proves the lack of integrity of the system. White said that even after several concerns were raised, nothing was done to stop children from being sent to dangerous locations.

“[I]t’s unbelievable that we’re … talking about government-sponsored, taxpayer funded child trafficking,” said Tara Rodas on Thursday’s episode of “Washington Watch with Tony Perkins.” Rodas, who formerly worked for the Department of Health and Human Services and testified on Tuesday, explained how she and some of her “colleagues began reporting trafficking cases in June of 2021.” She sighed, “So, if you can imagine, it’s been more than three years” since those first reports.

Rodas emphasized how their efforts were received better “in the beginning, and [we] thought they were going to do something about it.” However, over time, they were threatened and warned from “coming forward to speak the truth.” And “this is not just one incident,” Family Research Council President Tony Perkins pointed out, further noting that she “began to see … patterns.”

Rodas explained that what it boils down to is a system that is not organized or monitored well. “So,” she continued, “you can imagine how easily a system like that is exploited.” The process, she described, is that children are brought across the southern border “from Guatemala, El Salvador, all over Central and South America with smugglers.” Then, “the smugglers give them the name and address to where they’re going, the children turn that into Border Patrol, Border patrol turns it over to us at HHS, and then we send the child to that person. It’s really end-to-end delivery.”

And the issue with this, as Perkins noted, is that there’s “no verification of relationship, family connection or anything” to ensure these children end up in a safe place. Again, he contended, “[T]his is being funded by tax dollars. I mean, we’re bringing these children to this country and allowing them to be exploited. This is … horrific.”

In many cases, Rodas explained that what leads children to these horrible homes is the fact that “there is no ultimate verification because” the government “did not even verify if the person was a legal permanent resident.” But ultimately, she insisted, no sensible “child welfare organization around the globe would send a child to an unknown person. … That doesn’t even make sense. And yet, that’s what the government is doing.” However, Rodas concluded that sitting idle is not an option. “There are children in crisis now, and we need to rescue” them.

Trump Leads In Key Swing State Where Many Voters Say Immigration Made Life ‘Worse,’ Poll Finds

Former President Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden in Wisconsin, where many voters claimed immigration made the state’s quality of life “worse,” according to an American Greatness poll exclusively released to the Daily Caller News Foundation on Thursday.

Trump leads Biden 46% to 44% in a two-way race, compared to an even split at 45% in April, according to the poll. Only 13% of likely voters said that immigration has improved the “quality of life in the state,” while 34% said it made it worse.

“Wisconsin figures to be a very tight race once again, as reflected by this new polling,” Steve Cortes, former senior advisor to President Trump and polling consultant to American Greatness, told the DCNF. “In such a close election, the more we highlight the damage of Biden’s open border, the more likely battleground state voters are to return Donald Trump to the White House.”

Wisconsin has voted for the Democratic presidential nominee every year since 1988, except for in 2016 when it went for Trump.

In addition, 45% of respondents claimed that immigration had “no real effect” on the state’s quality of life and 8% were unsure, according to the poll.

Whitewater, a town in Wisconsin that has 15,000 residents, has taken in as many as 1,000 immigrants since 2022, PBS reported. Among the respondents, 53% said that immigration levels are “too high” for a community that size, while 29% said it was “about right” and 4% said it was “too low.”

“Even thousands of miles away from the US border, Biden’s reckless, radical border policies are firmly rejected by supermajorities of citizens,” Cortes told the DCNF. “Sensible Wisconsin voters know that Biden and Harris and Mayorkas prioritize unvetted foreign migrants over American citizens, and they demand a return to law-and-order.”

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has encountered over seven million migrants entering the country illegally since Biden took office, according to the CBP data.

Biden issued nearly 300 executive actions on immigration during his first year in office, 89 of which reversed or began to reverse Trump’s immigration policies, according to an analysis from the Migration Policy Institute.

The poll also asked likely voters about Biden’s mental and physical fitness for office, with 65% saying Biden is not capable of serving another term, compared to 57% in April. Nearly half of Wisconsin likely voters, 48%, think Biden is making his own official decisions in office, while 31% think it is First Lady Jill Biden. (RELATED: WSJ And NYT Polls Are Latest In String Of Surveys Showing Biden Losing Ground To Trump After Debate)

The American Greatness poll surveyed 600 likely Wisconsin voters from July 6 to July 10. The poll has a margin of error of 4%.
