FAIR just released a groundbreaking report that shows all Americans the direct causes of the astounding 7,300 percent spike in illegal immigration from Venezuela. Before President Biden took office (in FY20), only 4,520 Venezuelan nationals were encountered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the border. By last year, it exploded to 334,914. è

This does not happen in a vacuum. But the reasons why can be obscure. Here is where FAIR comes in. This report, Country Brief: Venezuela, comes from FAIR’s investigative Research department, where FAIR investigators dug deep into the major and minor Biden policy changes that triggered this tsunami of migration. The national security implications are also considered in depth. Examining the geopolitical conditions inside Venezuela, FAIR identified no change in the economic or political situation that would explain the sudden inflow: rather the entire blame can be laid at the feet of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its erratic, inconsistent and damaging policy change. These variations encouraged Venezuelans to make dangerous trips through numerous countries to live, work and remain in the United States.

FAIR is placing this report in front of the nation’s key policy makers and Congress to inform future legal and policy changes. Its release was widely covered in the media.

MORE DETAIL: The exponential growth of illegal migration from Venezuela mirrors the general increase of mass illegal immigration under the Biden administration. Since President Biden arrived, some 10 million people are known to have attempted to enter the country illegally, including nearly 2 million who were never apprehended and processed by CBP. More than half a million of these people are Venezuelans and nearly 58 percent of them entered in the last fiscal year alone.

The Biden administration has changed policy and broken laws to encourage this inflow. Practices at issue include resume catch-and-release; expand Alternatives to Detention (ATD); stunning parole abuse; and baseless expansion of Temporary Protected Status (TPS). Most of these Venezuelans had already been safely settled in other countries for years – completely undermining any claim for asylum.

The FAIR report raises serious concerns about the risks posed to U.S. national security by the surge of new illegal migrants with ties to a government that is, at best, an adversary of the United States. Venezuela’s Marxist dictator, Nicolas Maduro, maintains close relationships with some of America’s most implacable enemies and adversaries, including Iran, Russia and China.

Venezuela’s government issues travel documents to individuals linked to terrorism. Additionally, the Maduro regime allows terrorists to operate with relative impunity and has increased its ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran, another notorious state sponsor of terrorism. Recent attacks on Americans and American interests in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf show this is no idle threat.

Among the key findings of the report:

  • Venezuelans are now the second most encountered nationality of illegal aliens at the border.
  • More than half a million Venezuelan illegal aliens have been encountered since January 2021.
  •  The number of Venezuelan nationals encountered increased 77 percent between Fiscal Years 2022-2023. Since FY 2020, the increase in Venezuelan illegal immigration has been 7,309 percent.
  • Executive Branch policies – especially parole, Temporary Protected Status and the mass release of migrants into the U.S. – have driven the dramatic increase in Venezuelan illegal immigration.
  • The Biden administration’s parole program allows Venezuelans and dual nationals of Venezuela to enter the U.S., even with an expired passport, with little or no vetting.
  •  Venezuela’s government has supplied genuine Venezuelan travel documents to non-Venezuelans, including potential national security threats from countries like Iran. This is especially concerning given Venezuela’s ties to state sponsors of terrorism.

FAIR In Action: The report also includes a detailed list of recommendations to slow the record influx of illegal aliens – not just from Venezuela, but from some 170 nationality groups that have responded to the Biden administration’s de facto open-door policies.

One year in as Texas’ “border czar,” Mike Banks says the state has been so successful at blocking illegal entry that cartel activity has been pushed west into Democratic-led states that aren’t implementing similar tactics that Texas has.

Banks spoke with The Center Square in an exclusive interview after reaching the one-year mark in his new role on Jan. 30. Gov. Greg Abbott tapped him for the role within 24 hours of his retirement from U.S. Border Patrol, creating his position to oversee and augment border security efforts already underway through Abbott’s border security mission, Operation Lone Star.

Abbott created the state “border czar” role after President Joe Biden declared Vice President Kamala Harris “border czar,” saying she’d be overseeing border security operations. Harris has been absent from the border, even denying there is a crisis. Abbott has argued Banks has done more in one day than Harris did in the years she’s held the title.

Banks was “the perfect choice” to be Texas’ first-ever border czar, Abbott argues, because of his 23 years of Border Patrol experience serving in three states and Washington, D.C., under four presidents. He’s “seen firsthand the struggles of ranchers and communities caused by open borders,” Abbott said when announcing Banks as border czar last year. “He understands the dangerous impacts that Mexican cartels have on our country.”

When looking back over the past year, he told The Center Square, “I think it’s been an outstanding year. I think we’ve been able to achieve even more so than I thought we were going to be able to achieve.”

Texas, which shares the longest border with Mexico of 1,254 miles, has historically had the greatest number of illegal border crossers.

One year after Banks began directing OLS operations, helping to direct Texas Military Department efforts to block illegal entry, he said compared to a year ago, “if you look at the number of illegal border crossings today, Texas counts for 30% of those crossings. The remaining 70% are crossing in Arizona, California, and New Mexico. Why? Because they’re not putting up the resistance that Texas is.”

“I was taught as a young Border Patrol agent to always follow the path of the least resistance when you’re looking for illegal border crossings and you’ll be successful,” he explained. “Texas has created that path, the greatest resistance.

“When you hear the naysayers say the traffic is just going around us, that is true. I can tell those naysayers that they’re not only going around us, they’re going way around us. They’re going to Arizona, California, and New Mexico.”

Banks reiterated a point Abbott made on Sunday at a press event in Shelby Park, in Eagle Pass, Texas. The Texas Military Department taking over the park is only one area between ports of entry being shut down on Texas soil.

“As Texas gains control of an area,” Banks said, “we’re going to maintain that area and we’re going to expand. We’re going to gain, maintain, expand. We’re going to cut off illegal entry into the state of Texas.”

He said Mexican cartel coyotes direct illegal entry into Texas from Mexico. “No one crosses that border illegally without paying a fine to the cartels,” he said.

The Gulf Cartel controls entry from Mexico in the Rio Grande Valley, The Center Square has previously reported. The Los Zetas and Cartel del Noreste control access to nine Texas counties from Starr to Val Verde, through the Mexican states of Nuevo Leon and Coahuila. In specific areas in the U.S. and Mexico, several cartels are fighting for control of smuggling routes. The Sinaloa Cartel controls the majority of the southern border: from California to Brewster County in west Texas.

Last year, the Texas legislature designated cartels and transnational criminal organizations as Foreign Terrorist Organizations, after Abbott did by executive order.

“The cartels control everything,” Banks said. “They hold migrants in warehouses and stash houses until they have a large amount of them and then force them to cross at one location at one time, overwhelming Border Patrol resources,” he explained, referring to a cartel tactic called “task saturation,” Tucson Border Patrol Chief John Modlin has also explained.

When Border Patrol agents are pulled off the line and “large swaths of the border are left wide open,” Banks said, “that’s where the cartels can push through their hard narcotics, their high value targets … we’re denying them that.”

Part of the defense Banks helped organize is to identify where high traffic is directed by cartels and erect barriers to block it and then work with DPS to interdict.

“Anywhere where we see high traffic coming across, we’re going to take what we call a PDI position: position, deter and interdict. We’re going to do everything we can to prevent them from crossing. And if they’re going to cross, to interdict them, make that arrest and then charge them either with criminal trespass or whatever legal state law they violated and they will serve time.”

“Illegal entry in Texas has consequences,” he said, which is why the cartels are redirecting efforts much farther away to Arizona, California and New Mexico.

If all else fails, run and hide. That seems to be the motto for Katie Hobbs anytime she’s confronted with a challenge. We saw it during her 2022 gubernatorial campaign when she refused to debate Kari Lake. We saw it when she ducked reporters asking for her reasoning behind refusing to debate Kari Lake. We saw it when she hid in a restaurant bathroom after another reporter asked her why she didn’t like discussing politics. And now that she’s governor, it should come as no surprise that Hobbs has chosen the same approach when it comes to the border crisis.

During the last three years, the Biden administration has completely abandoned its constitutional duty to protect each state from invasion, and Texas had enough. The state moved to defend itself from an unprecedented flow of illegal immigration due to the federal government’s negligence. And it has so far been supported by governors from 25 states who signed a joint statement standing with Texas.

Given Arizona’s dangerous situation at our own border, you would think Governor Hobbs would sign on or at least have something to say. But once again, she has chosen to run and hide. Meanwhile, our state’s Republican-led legislature joined in support when Arizona Senate President Warren Petersen and House Speaker Ben Toma signed onto a different letter with more than two dozen state attorneys general to urge the Biden administration to enforce our nation’s immigration laws or allow Texas to do so. And Republicans have also introduced legislation to provide local, county, and state law enforcement with support to defend our border. But Hobbs would rather ignore the problem and hope it goes away.

Keep in mind that Hobbs’ silence comes at a time when the situation at our state’s border continues to grow more volatile. In just the past few months, we’ve seen:

    • A report of suspected armed “gotaways” traveling with a migrant group about 70 miles from Phoenix.
    • A report revealing thousands of “special interest aliens” from mostly Middle Eastern countries apprehended while crossing the border illegally in the past two years.
    • A dramatic rise in the number of “gotaways,” who have escaped detection from law enforcement.
    • A major fentanyl bust at Arizona’s southern border.
    • A surge of illegal immigrants in the Tucson Border Sector.
    • The apprehension of 21 sex offenders at the southern border.
    • A flood of illegal immigrants at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport during the holidays.
    • A report of 10 IEDs discovered along the Arizona/U.S.-Mexico border.
    • An increase in cartel violence near the Lukeville Port of Entry.
    • An assault against a Border Patrol agent who was arresting several illegal immigrants near San Luis, Arizona.

And then of course, there was Hobbs’ initial failure to deploy the National Guard to the border during the Lukeville crisis back in December—a decision which she had no choice but to reverse just a few days later.

The reality is that all of this reflects Hobbs’ record of open borders. She advocated to remove the shipping container barrier at our border, she vetoed bills like HB 2675, HB 2469, and SB 1408, which would have protected Arizona’s families from drugs and crime, and she pushed for $40 million in state funding to pay for illegal immigrants’ college tuition.

Now, Arizona is ground zero for the crisis at our southern border, and we cannot afford to hope it just magically disappears. It requires action. It’s time for Governor Hobbs to step up, put partisan politics aside, and ensure the security of Arizona’s southern border. Unfortunately, she’s probably hiding in a Rally’s bathroom.

Senate Republicans blocked the border security bill from advancing Wednesday after significant pushback.

A motion to proceed on the bill failed 49-50. Republican Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, James Lankford of Oklahoma and Mitt Romney of Utah voted to pass the legislation.

A handful of Democrats also voted no. Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders opposed the military aid to Israel while Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey, Elizabeth Warren and New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez also voted in opposition.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said he would move to put a package on the floor focusing on foreign aid for Ukraine, Israel and other initiatives that do not include border security.

The Senate released the long-awaited text of a border package in exchange for Ukraine aid. The bill would appropriate $48 billion to Ukraine, and nearly $16 billion to Israel and fund border security measures. Among the border provisions include more funds for hiring new immigration judges to expedite the processing of asylum and deportation proceedings as well as law enforcement to detain and remove illegal migrants.

The bill includes a provision that says the border can remain open so long as less than 5,000 migrants enter daily. Under the bill, authorities can remove migrants without removal proceedings if the week-long average of entries increases to more than 5,000 per day. The process would continue until the two-week average number of illegal entries decreases to 3,750 persons per day.

House Republicans have indicated it would be dead on arrival, arguing it doesn’t do enough to secure the border.

Border Patrol agents on Tuesday apprehended an individual illegally crossing the southern border who admitted past ties to a Colombian group previously designated as a terrorist organization, according to an internal Customs and Border Protection (CBP) memo exclusively obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Agents encountered Oscar De Leon-Ramirez on Feb. 6 among a group of eight Colombian and Salvadoran nationals in Texas’ El Paso sector, and shortly thereafter the National Targeting Center notified agents of the subject’s possible record of “terrorist activities,” according to the memo. During an interview with De Leon-Ramirez, the illegal immigrant admitted his previous role working for the Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia (AUC), a group that was previously designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S. government.

“During post-Miranda interview, De Leon-Ramirez readily admitted to having crossed the U.S./Mexico International Boundary illegally on today’s date (02/06/2024). Furthermore, De Leon-Ramirez admitted that in 2004/2005 he voluntarily enlisted in the Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia (AUC),” the memo read.

“De Leon-Ramirez stated that some of his duties as AUC member were to patrol the mountainous rural areas of Istmina, Colombia locating guerrilla members of the FARC (Fuerza Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia) and other entities involved with extortion and trafficking in Colombia,” the memo continued.

De Leon-Ramirez has pending criminal proceedings in the Western District Court of Texas, according to the memo.

The U.S. government designated the AUC as a foreign terrorist organization in 2001 and revoked the designation in 2014. The group disbanded in 2006, while some members split off into other groups to continue activities involving the drug trade and human rights abuses, according to the Congressional Research Service.

During its existence, the group “massacred and assassinated suspected supporters” of left-leaning guerrilla groups in Colombia, according to the Congressional Research Service.

“The border is open. Wide open. Don’t believe the media. Don’t believe the White House,” a Department of Homeland Security official told the DCNF on the condition of anonymity, as they were not authorized to speak publicly.

“Arm yourself, protect your homes and your families because this joke of an administration isn’t doing anything,” the official added.

Border Patrol agents apprehended 50 illegal immigrants on the terror watchlist between October and December: 172 in fiscal year 2023 and 98 in fiscal year 2022, according to CBP data. Between fiscal years 2017 and 2021, there were a total of 30 such encounters.

On Jan. 20, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers nabbed a member of the Somali terror group al-Shabaab, who authorities released shortly after he illegally crossed the southern border near San Ysidro, California on March 13, 2023, according to an internal federal memo recently obtained by the DCNF.

The Department of Homeland Security didn’t immediately respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

Five Marines Dead After Helicopter Crash, Military Confirms

Five Marines missing since early Wednesday morning died in a helicopter crash during training, the military confirmed in an emailed statement on Thursday.

Authorities located the remains of a CH-53E Super Stallion heavy lift helicopter near Pine Valley, California, on Wednesday after initiating a search when the aircraft did not arrive at its destination on time. Recovery efforts are still underway for the remains of the five Marines and equipment lost in the crash Tuesday night, the Marine Corps’ 3 Marine Aircraft Wing said in the statement.

“It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that I share the loss of five outstanding Marines from 3d Marine Aircraft Wing and the ‘Flying Tigers’ while conducting a training flight last night,” Maj. Gen. Michael J. Borgschulte, the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing’s commanding general, said in the statement.

“These pilots and crewmembers were serving a calling greater than self and were proud to do so. We will forever be grateful for their call to duty and selfless service,” Borgschulte said.

The deceased Marines were assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 361, Marine Aircraft Group 16 with the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, according to the statement. The service will not release the names of the fallen troops until 24 hours after notifying their closest family members, the statement read, citing the military’s usual policy.

The service has initiated an investigation into the incident, the statement read.

The accident “is yet another reminder that across our nation and the world our selfless service members put their lives on the line every day to keep our country safe,” Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said in a statement mourning the loss.

A CH-53E Super Stallion heavy lift helicopter departing from Creech Air Force Base in Clark County, Nevada, on Tuesday was overdue on Wednesday morning at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, the Marine Corps said in a statement Wednesday.

The Marine Corps requested help from local officials around 2 a.m. Wednesday, saying the aircraft’s last known location was Cleveland National Forest near Pine Valley, California, according to local news outlet ABC 10.

Authorities found the helicopter in Pine Valley, California, at 9:08 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.

President Joe Biden said he was “heartbroken” by the news and thanked local, state and federal agencies, including the Civil Air Patrol and San Diego County Sheriff’s department, for assisting in the search.

“As the Department of Defense continues to assess what occurred, we extend our deepest condolences to their families, their squadron, and the U.S. Marine Corps as we grieve the loss of five of our nation’s finest warriors,” Biden said in the statement.

Poor weather conditions limited the search, ABC 10 reported. Heavy rain bombarded the area overnight from a massive storm passing through the area, and San Diego remains under a flood warning , according to the National Weather Service.

Joe Biden spent his first three years in office telling everyone that “our southern border is secure.” He would squint into the cameras, looking like that banjo player from “Deliverance,” and say that.

Yet we all knew he was not serious about it because he put Kamala Harris in charge. The only less genuine effort to defend the border would have been for him to put the Dallas Cowboys’ offensive line down there for protection.

Biden is not doing this for any high-minded reasons. He wants Democrat votes. Dems have a realistic view of the old Biblical adage, that if you give a man a fish and he will eat for that day. But if you are always willing to give a man someone else’s fish, and he will vote for you forever. Or until he gets his own fish.

Dems feign a humane concern for foreigners. Illegals will be upset when we build the wall, but they will get over it.

Now, Joe is running for office and polls show that Americans are fed up with crime, fentanyl and costly illegals crossing the border unimpeded. In fact, Biden’s border agents are cutting barbed wire for them, then fist bumping illegals upon entry. It has become politically clear to them that their system of fighting immigration up till now, the honor system, is not working.

Joe says he needs an act of Congress to do something and delusionally blames Republicans. Never mind that Dems have had the House, Senate and White House for most of his term and they did nothing. And that he has enacted sixty executive orders that dismantled Trump’s near-closure of the border.

In an age-old Washington insider move, he has some weak nothing “border bill” that is only about two things: (1) getting more money to the infamously corrupt Ukraine ATM that Joe and Hunter have had access to for years, and (2) to make it look like there is a bi-partisan bill that Republicans won’t pass so he can disingenuously point the finger at and blame the GOP for the border issue.

Biden has had all the power he needed to start closing the border in Title 8, Section 12 of the U.S. code. It says the President can do just about anything he wants to protect our border if aliens are determined to be a problem. Anything. et now, he says he needs congressional action?

It is all so confusing. If they send two men caught at the border to a California courtroom, the judge is likely to just not understand what they are saying and gay marry them.

Most of these illegals say they are fleeing dysfunctional, socialist, one-party dictatorships that threaten those who question their authority. That is why they go from California to Florida, Tennessee, or Texas. California might want to build a fence just to keep their existing citizens there.

The sham bill does little but make the situation worse — and more permanent. It ties the hands of Trump if he is elected. It is a word salad of nothingness with terms like “unsupervised detention.” It is as confusing as Kamala Harris explaining gravity.

Illegals are dumping their IDs at the border. We need an ID to get into Costco, but not illegals. They make up names and fail to show up at their court date three years down the road. And if they did show up, how would a judge know if their tale of woe in their old country is true or not? It is a rubber stamp, even for the scant six percent who show up. It is a joke, and this bill enshrines that joke.

If you think unchecked immigration will not change a country, ask the Native Americans. If you want to get a hotdog and some apple pie, pretty soon you will have to go to the Ethnic Section of Wal-Mart.

Congress should not pass this bill. If Trump wins and the GOP takes back the Senate, there will be substantive border control. Trump will give you chaos, true change, peace, a growing economy, less inflation, lower taxes, and a secure border. But for those of us who write satire, Biden gives us material. So I am good either way.

The report focuses correctly on the extent of China’s military buildup and modernization program.

The report errs by relying on China’s official defense budget topline of $230 billion.

As worrying as this report is—it almost certainly underestimates the threat posed by China.

The Defense Department’s latest annual China Military Power Report gets a lot right. It accurately identifies the scope of China’s global ambitions and many of the structural changes being implemented by Xi Jinping to make China the preeminent military power in Asia and the Pacific. Even so, the report appears to undersell the threat posed by China and what will be required from the U.S. to counter it.

What the Report Gets Right

The report focuses correctly on the extent of China’s military buildup and modernization program. In 2022, the Chinese navy continued to beef up what is already the world’s largest fleet, working on delivering its third aircraft carrier and third amphibious assault ship, as well as additional guided missile destroyers, cruisers, and frigates. Beijing’s navy will soon be able to conduct long-range precision strikes against land targets from both its submarine and surface combatants.

The Chinese Air Force continues to modernize and produce increasingly advanced, domestically built manned and unmanned aircraft. Together with the Chinese navy’s air assets, it now constitutes the largest aviation force in the Indo-Pacific. Led by its fifth-generation fighter, the Ju-20, Beijing’s air force is on its way to becoming the largest in the world.

Perhaps most worrying, the report documents that, over the last 12 months, China built 100 new nuclear weapons—making it the fastest growing nuclear power on the planet. Beijing is on track to numerically match the U.S. nuclear arsenal by 2032.

The report also notes that China is deploying its growing military power in increasingly provocative ways. Over the last two years, it conducted over 280 coercive and risky air intercepts against the United States and its allies.

Finally, the report documents the growing use of Chinese naval assets to intimidate and coerce fishing fleets operating in international waters—not only in the Western Pacific but as far afield as Latin America. All of this is done against the backdrop of an unprecedented number of air and maritime exercises in the waters and skies around Taiwan.

What the Report Gets Wrong

While these developments are all legitimate cause for concern, particularly for defense planners seeking to bolster America’s capabilities, the report errs by relying on China’s official defense budget topline of $230 billion.

On its face, this number is a fraction of the $886 billion Congress just authorized for the U.S. defense budget. This comparison will invariably lead some observers to claim the U.S. military is three to four times more capable than China’s, but that isn’t necessarily true. As the paper acknowledges, China’s real defense budget is likely far higher: European think tanks have estimated that real Chinese defense spending is at least 30-40 percent higher than the official budget. Numerous analyses have concluded the Chinese government excludes significant sums from the official figures to hide the extent of its military buildup.

At the very least, we know that China’s budget does not include details on research and development spending—a spending bucket that accounts for more than $140 billion in the U.S. defense budget. To its credit, the Pentagon report does consider Beijing’s military-civil fusion development strategy, in which China leverages its civilian technology and industrial base to massively enhance the capabilities of its defense industrial base. Confusingly, the report does not attempt to account for either of these significant considerations in its treatment of China’s defense budget topline.

The report also fails to account for differences in American and Chinese purchasing power. Simply put, defense spending goes a lot further in China than it does in the United States, because labor and material costs are lower in China. For example, Chinese military personnel earn only about one-fourth what American servicemembers do.

Confusingly, the report states that “Economic forecasters project that China’s economic growth will slow during the next 10 years, from about 3 percent in 2022 to around 4 percent in 2025.” Leaving aside the obvious math issue, economic growth of around 4 percent is more than enough for the world’s second-largest economy to continue growing its military spending.

Earlier this year, Sen. Dan Sullivan, R-Alaska, revealed that an internal U.S. government estimate put the Chinese defense budget at roughly $700 billion. If this number is accurate, the Department of Defense should have included it in its report. Internally estimating the Chinese budget to be around $700 billion while telling Congress and the public that it is only $230 billion will create a massive disconnect between the U.S. government’s sense of the threat posed by China’s military spending and the public perception of it.

During the Cold War, the Defense Department drew on its enormous quantitative and intelligence resources to accurately assess the Soviet defense budget. It should do so now, to better understand the actual Chinese defense budget and how it spends its financial resources in comparison with the United States. Because as worrying as this report is—it almost certainly underestimates the threat posed by China.

The initial vote was 215-215 before another weak useless Republican turncoat switched to vote against the impeachment.

The fact that the Homeland Security Chief has blood on his hands with his intentional actions to keep our borders wide open was of no concern to these four turn coat bottom feeding Republicans, Ken Buck of socialist Colorado, Tom McClintock of Communist California and Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin.

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson announced the resolution had failed, to cheers and salutations from Communist Democrats who continue to support the internal collapse of our nation by these illegal immigrant criminals.

The Cloward-Piven Communist strategy is in full gear with the four steps of this welfare revolution being slowly implemented to totally overwhelm local state governance with the goal of giving everyone a federally guaranteed income and install a socialist government.

The Republican Party is complicit in this unconstitutional attack on our free market capitalist economy and sovereignty and in my opinion former former President Donald Trump is probably the only last hope we have in defeating these evil people vice a full blown armed second American revolution.

Since October 7, 2023, when Hamas invaded southern Israel, murdered over 1,200 people, and took nearly 250 hostage, the MEMRI research team that monitors imams’ sermons in mosques in the U.S. as well as speeches and statements by U.S. Muslim leaders and organizations has been finding, and exposing, some very disturbing content emanating from the state of Michigan – particularly from Dearborn and Detroit.

These sermons and statements reflect the sentiment we have found in our broader monitoring of U.S. Sunni and Shi’ite imams from major mosques and leading organizations, as well as by individuals affiliated with universities. They include antisemitic and pro-Hamas statements, expressions of support for the October 7 attacks and calls for further violence, denial of the atrocities perpetrated by Hamas, and anti-Israel and anti-U.S. statements.

It is notable that in our extensive monitoring of sermons and statements from this region, or indeed from across the U.S., our researchers have not found a single sermon denouncing Hamas or the October 7 attacks.

On November 29, 2023, the New Generation for Palestine, founded by Michigan comedian Amer Zahr, held a rally marking the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People in Dearborn, Michigan, which was streamed live on the organization’s Facebook page. Abdullah Hammoud, mayor of Dearborn, spoke at the event, he said that Dearborn is a “city of resistance.” He said that the question is not whether his community will vote for Biden or Trump in the 2024 presidential elections, but whether Biden listens to them, or to constituents who stuff his pockets with money. Adam Abusalah, a former congressional aide to Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-Mich.) and campaigner for Biden in the 2020 elections, addressed President Biden and said: “You are a cancer in our country.” Later in the event he led the crowd in the chant: “Genocide Joe!” Osama Siblani, editor and publisher of the Arab American News, said that a new generation has emerged, who will “clean” the U.S. Congress and White House of the bloodthirsty killers. He said: “We are on the road to a great victory here in D.C. and there in Palestine.” Siblani pledged: “No vote for Biden and no vote for Trump!” Political activist Linda Sarsour said that there will be a “permanent ceasefire” between Hamas and Israel, because Israel has lost the war. Co-master of ceremonies, Lexis Zeidan, concluded the rally, saying: “It doesn’t end with a ceasefire, that is the bare minimum, it ends with the dismantling of the terrorist racist State of Israel.”

Imam Usama Abdulghani spoke at the “Al-Aqsa Flood” protest at the Ford Centennial Library in Dearborn, Michigan on October 14, 2023, saying: “We are lucky to be alive in the era of Imam Khomeini, the leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.” He continued to say that October 7 was a “day of God,” a “miracle come true,” and he acknowledge IRGC Qods Force commander General Qassem Soleimani.

Abdulghani said that the “lions” are defending not only Palestine, but the nation of Muhmmad the Messenger. He added that the “honorable soldiers” of Palestine have chosen the only path to victory. Abdulghani asked: “How dare you compare Hamas to ISIS?” He added that Israel is worse than ISIS. Addressing the “friends of the Zionist occupiers,” he said they should advise their friends that “the jig is up,” that Israel is over, “the Titanic is sinking.”

Michigan Islamic scholar Ahmad Musa Jibril discussed the true meaning of Jihad in a November 25, 2023 video posted on Shaykh Ahmad Musa Jibril on X (formerly known as Twitter). He said that Jihad is the term for “holy war” in Islam. He said that American-Zionists are spreading a version of Islam “that suits the enemies” and that “the one who has been spreading that there is no holy war in Islam, has been defecating heresy out of his mouth for the past 20 years.”

According to another video posted on Ilm Cafe, a Telegram channel associated with Jibril, this was referring to American moderate Islamic scholar Hamza Yusuf. Jibril said that Muslims in the West and especially in America must start to normalize talking about Jihad. He added that it is time for mothers to nurse their infants with the love of Jihad and the ambition of becoming a mujahid or a martyr. Jibril said that U.S. President Biden is a “terrorist” and a “senile Pharaoh.” He continued to say that the “infidel West” and the U.S. are the vicious enemies of the Muslims. Ahmad Musa Jibril served six and a half years in prison for conspiracy, fraud, money laundering, and possession of firearms and ammunition. He is considered to be the inspiration for several Jihad attacks and initiatives in the West.

Ahmad Musa Jibril: “Yes, there is holy war in Islam, it is Jihad. This may be a surprise to many who grew up in the West, especially those who were born or grew up post 9/11, because of the growing number of hypocrites, who are spreading the American-Zionist Islam, and it has nothing to do with Islam, that version of Islam is and Islam that suits the enemies.

Clip #10745 – Michigan Imam Sheikh Ali Elahi On College Antisemitism Congressional Probe: AIPAC Is The Cancer Destroying American Democracy – Anyone Who Wants To Run For Congress Must Pay Money To AIPAC

Michigan imam Sheikh Ali Elahi condemned AIPAC in a Friday December 15, 2023 sermon at the Islamic House of Wisdom in Dearborn Heights and posted on the mosque’s YouTube channel. He described AIPAC as a cancer that is destroying democracy in America. Elahi claimed that in order to be voted into Congress, one must pay money to AIPAC. He further condemned Republican representative for New York Elise Stefanik for conducting a Congressional investigation of antisemitism on elite college campuses. He claimed that three “honorable” university professors, referring to Harvard President Claudine Gay, Pennsylvania State President Liz Magill, and MIT President Sally Kornbluth, suffered “harassment” during the five-hour investigation. Elahi suggested that Congresswoman Stefanik does not care about Israel or Jews, but such people are being opportunistic, seeking personal power. Sheikh Ali Elahi has come under scrutiny in the past due to reported ties with Iran and the IRGC.

Sheikh Ali Elahi: “Where is the direction of our country? What kind of sickness is this? What kind of cancer is AIPAC, destroying anything called democracy in this country? In order to win the vote and go to Congress, you have to sell yourself with money to AIPAC. You have to vote for Israel in order to succeed. It comes to the area that those three honorable presidents of three respectful universities in this country were taken to Congress for five hours under investigation and harassment, and one of them was even forced to resign. [It] is not that that Republican representative from NY [Elise Stefanik], that much in her heart cares for Israel, but these are opportunistic people that are using this situation just for their personal power. They don’t care about Jews, they don’t care about Judaism.”

Clip #10801 – Dearborn, Michigan ‘Commemoration Of The Martyrs’: ISIS Is The Slave Of Mossad, CIA – That Is Why It Attacked Soleimani’s Grave Site – Not Israel

The Dearborn, Michigan Hadi Institute held an event to “commemorate the martyrs” on January 5, 2024, in which speakers praised Qods Force commander Qassem Soleimani, leader of Iran-backed Iraqi militia Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, and the “martyrs” killed during the recent war. Hassan Salami recited poetry that praised Soleimani and Al-Muhandis and accused ISIS of being the “slave” of the CIA and Mossad. He said that this is the reason ISIS targeted the gravesite of Soleimani on the anniversary of his death, instead of attacking Israel. Salami claimed that the “elites” who run the United States and the world seek to subdue humanity through the obscene and the “Mossad’s Jeffery Epstein.” He continued to say that this is the reason Israel aired pornography on Palestinian news channels and that “polluted” movies and shows are made accessible worldwide. Imam Usama Abdulghani said that the Jews believe they are the “children of God” and that Israel “has put the Nazis to shame.” Video of the event was streamed live on Light of Guidance on YouTube.

Hassan Salami: “The last commemoration we had… I don’t know I fit was the last one or the one before – for Hajj Qasem [Soleimani], this was found on one of these Israeli Zionist propaganda websites, which shows that clarifying the image of these people is considered dangerous to the Zionist regime.

In a January 12, 2024 Friday sermon in the American Moslem Society of Dearborn, Michigan, which was streamed live on the mosque’s YouTube channel, Sheikh Mostafa Tolba spoke about verses from the Al-Isra chapter of the Quran speaking about the Israelites. He said that according to the verses, “the Israelites will spread corruption on the earth twice,” and one of these times is taking place now. Usama Abdulghani, an American Shi’ite Islamic scholar, was featured in a two-hour-long tribute to the leader of Iran’s Revolution, Imam Khomeini, in honor of the 31st anniversary of Khomeini’s death. The tribute was streamed live on June 6, 2020 on the AIM Islam YouTube channel, which belongs to the U.K.-based AhlulBayt Islamic Mission (AIM). Abdulghani said that after the U.S. killing of IRGC Qods Force Commander General Qasem Soleimani and PMU Deputy Commander Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, whom he referred to as martyrs, the world started to change rapidly, and he said that after the death of George Floyd, things have been “really picking up.”

He elaborated that the death of George Floyd was “the straw that broke camel’s back” and said that it has brought the people of the world out to protest and riot against systemic racism. Abdulghani said that the response to these protests in America has been more police brutality and savagery, and that the time has come for the oppressed to demand their rights from the tyrants. In addition, he said that Imam Khomeini’s mission had been to liberate the oppressed in the entire world, and not only in Iran, and he added that Soleimani and Al-Muhandis had been murdered for carrying out this mission. Quoting Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khameni, he said that the goal of the IRGC’s Qods Force is to “protect the dignity of the oppressed.” Abdulghani further said that this is why it is important for Iran to send oil tankers to Venezuela and to aid the Syrian people. Iraqi-American Sheikh Ibrahim Kazerooni of the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn, Michigan, said in a Friday, January 3, 2020 sermon that America’s killing of IRGC General Qasem Soleimani and PMU Deputy Chairman Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis earlier that day had been a “cowardly and heinous act” and that the only countries celebrating his death are the United States, Israel, and Saudi Arabia. He led a prayer for the souls of Soleimani and Al-Muhandis and told the congregation that Soleimani had “brought hope to the marginalized [and] hatred and fear to the enemies of Islam.” He explained that Soleimani had been instrumental in keeping the Syrian regime in power despite American and Zionist attempts to destabilize it, in defending Iraq against ISIS alongside the PMU, and in ultimately defeating ISIS in Iraq, which Sheikh Kazerooni described as the “extended arm of American foreign policy.” He cited several examples from Islamic literature that speak of martyrdom as a virtuous act and added: “Let’s wait and see what happens next.”

An International Quds Day Rally was held in Dearborn, Michigan on May 31, 2019, in front of the Henry Ford Centennial Library. A speaker whose identity is not known said that every U.S. President – not only the “idiot” Trump – was a criminal and a terrorist, and that it is only economic sanctions and “political arrogance” that is maintaining America’s standing in the world. He cursed America and the world powers for “wishing for the masses to remain silent” and abandon Palestine, and he said: “Not only will we witness the liberation of Palestine, but Allah willing, we are going to play an active role in it with our own hands.” He said that Palestine will only be liberated by Muslims, and not through American legislation or deals drawn up by “hypocrites” and “traitors.” He also said that the “beloved Leader” Imam Khamenei said that Israel will crumble in less than 25 years and that the “cancer” of Israel can only be removed through resistance and reliance on Allah. Referring to American politicians and the U.S. government as satanic, he said that Hamas, Hizbullah, the IRGC, and anybody else fighting against Israel have a God-given right to resist.

Sheikh Usama Abdulghani, a D.C.-born Shiite imam who studied at the Islamic Seminary in Qom, Iran, also spoke at the event, saying that Israel is the “head of the snake” behind all the oppression in the world. He also referred to Israel as a “system of cancerous oppression.” The audience chanted: “Away with the humiliation!” The video was streamed live on Facebook by the Al-Quds Committee, which describes itself as “an effort to peacefully raise the voice against atrocities and human rights violations of Zionism.”

Clip #7002 – Detroit Shi’ite Imam Bassem Al-Sheraa: The Jews Prostituted Their Women, Killed Prophets, Employed Usury To Gain Power

On January 27, 2019, an antisemitic lecture by Michigan-based Shi’ite Imam Bassem Al-Sheraa was uploaded to the YouTube channel of the Al-Zahraa Islamic Center, which is in Detroit. Al-Sheraa said that the Jews have distorted sacred texts and sanctioned the killing of prophets such as Jesus and John the Baptist. He accused the Jews of employing tricks and fraud in matters of religion and morality, and of amassing gold and spreading usury. Explaining that usury is a “peculiar Jewish philosophy,” Imam Al-Sheraa said that the Jews have used it as a means of attaining power, even though it contradicts their religious teachings, and that even the modern banking system is based on the Jews’ “instructions and vision.” He further said that Jewish women have historically established and managed “dens of female iniquity” and headed the brothels of Europe, and that the Jews allow their faith to be passed down maternally so that their women could increase the Jewish population through prostitution. Al-Sheraa is a graduate of the Najaf Hawza in Iraq. He emigrated to the United States and serves as the imam of the Al-Zahraa Islamic Center of Michigan. He also founded the Scholarly Najaf Hawza in Northern America – Michigan.

He wasn’t just killed – he was declared a heretic and his head was chopped off. Jesus, son of Mary, was also declared a heretic by them. They excommunicated him. They said that he was not a Jew. Then the Romans killed him. They arrested him in order to crucify him. But it was the Jews who issued the religious ruling about it. The Roman ruler… When the Romans wanted to arrest Jesus, they got a religious ruling from the Jews that said that he did not represent them and that he had been excommunicated. The Jews sanctioned his killing.

Look at the global banks, the billionaires… All those are from among [the Jews]. Their culture is a culture of usury. The financial culture of the world was founded according to their instructions and their vision. Why? Because they consider [usury] to be an instrument of control.

U.S. Representative Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) said at a May 16, 2022 Nakba Day Rally in Dearborn, Michigan that the demonstrators are Americans and have the right to fight against apartheid. She also said that their right to dissent is protected by the U.S. Constitution. While Rep. Tlaib was still on stage, an announcer led the crowds in a chant of: “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free!”

After Rep. Tlaib spoke, Osama Siblani, the publisher of the Michigan-based Arab News (see MEMRI TV Clip No. 9566 for more information) praised Palestinian factions’ use of rockets against Israel, saying that Arabs are good at making children and rockets. Demonstrators then chanted: “Intifada! Intifada!” Professor Hani Bardawi, of the University of Michigan-Dearborn led the crowd in chants praising the Israeli Arabs in Lod and the Triangle region inside Israel, who were rioting against the authorities and Jewish-Israeli civilians at the time of the rally. Nothing About The Rigged Senate Border Bill Is In The ‘National Interest’

Can you imagine Senate Democrats ever supporting a bill that gave President Donald Trump the power to temporarily ignore provisions he didn’t believe were in the “national interest”? Of course not. Yet one of the most conspicuous parts of the new bipartisan border bill allows Joe Biden to do just that.

Once there is a rolling average of 5,000 border encounters per day for a week, or 8,500 encounters in a single day, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) would be given “emergency authority” and compelled to turn away anyone else who crosses (though there are many exemptions). Most conservatives believe this threshold is already too high. Under 5,000 daily crossings can still amount to nearly 2 million entries per year, which is around double the number of Green Cards we hand out annually.

Yet, on top of that, Biden has the power to unilaterally suspend the closure (for 45 days each year) if he deems it “in the national interest.”

You know, the reason we have political debates in the first place is so we can figure out how to protect the “national interest.” If we had a common understanding of the idea, we’d be a one-party state. But as with other political phrases these days — the “common good” or “democracy,” come to mind — the term “national interest” is meaningless. Democrats, for instance, believe it’s in the national interest to regulate gas stoves and “misinformation.” I believe it’s in the national interest for the executive branch’s power to be limited to its constitutional role and mind its own business.

Indeed, the president can already declare national emergencies. Trump did on the border in 2019 and was called an authoritarian by Democrats. Congress could stop this from happening again by repealing the National Emergencies Act, not by doubling down and handing the executive branch even wider latitude to interpret laws whenever they find it convenient.

Most of the provisions in the bill are so loophole-riddled they are worse than irrelevant. One provision allows administration officers to grant asylum without any oversight from judges, who (at least, theoretically) use a set of criteria to adjudicate these cases. “Asylum” might have been stripped of any real meaning, as well, but it’s a mystery why James Lankford wants to hand Alejandro Mayorkas more autonomy on this front. Or any front. (Again, can you imagine Democrats signing onto a bill that handed Chad Wolf more discretion over asylum cases?)

Then again, if there are any legal fights over the implementation of the law, Democrats have cherry-picked the court that will adjudicate. No, not the Fifth Circuit, which inconveniently sits on the border, but the left-wing D.C. District Court will have exclusive authority over “written policy directive, written policy guideline, written procedure” and their implementation.

Meanwhile, Democrats are acting as if they’ve made some giant, historic concession even deigning to address the crisis. But where is the compromise? They’ve rigged the bill, making it so malleable that Biden can basically interpret and implement its provisions in any fashion he chooses. (Only on the enforcement side, naturally. There is no opting out of Ukraine aid or more taxpayer-funded asylum lawyers.) Then, Democrats ensured that the court hearing any disputes over that implementation would almost surely side with them.

And lest anyone think I’m some kind of hardline closed-border type, I’m fine with more asylum-seekers and more immigration and more work visas. High walls and wide gates, etc. Like many Americans, though, I’m just not a fan of policies that perpetuate anarchy.

To save American immigration policy, Trump must call for the Senate leader’s removal.

For the first time maybe in decades, the Right has the Left exactly where they want them on immigration. Americans, both urban and rural, blue and red, are in open revolt against Biden’s open-border policies. They are seeing the destruction in their communities caused by an out-of-control illegal invasion created entirely by this administration’s lawlessness. And they are demanding action.

The Democrats must make at least a temporary tactical retreat on their immigration radicalism, setting a new “left pole” of the debate that is well to the Right of where it is today. Or at least, that was the position the Left was in before the catastrophic self-inflicted wound brought on the Republican Party by the hubris of Mitch McConnell and his GOP establishment allies.

Perhaps this is a result of gross incompetence on McConnell’s part; perhaps he’s just actually out of step with GOP voters (addicted as he is to appease the cheap-labor lobbying of corporate donors). Or perhaps it was because McConnell felt it was the only way to get billions of dollars for Ukraine as part of a package deal, as Sen. Mike Rounds (a supporter of the bill who accused Russians of being behind the opposition) suggested. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter. Clearly, through either strategic idiocy or personal malice, McConnell and the Senate GOP leadership have taken a massive impending win on an important issue and turned it into a possible defeat, or at least a stalemate.

70 percent of voters disapprove of Biden’s handling of the border, a remarkable number in a hyper-polarized electorate. Given that Biden has refused to enforce our existing laws, there was never a need to negotiate with him on new ones. Or, as Trump’s immigration czar Stephen Miller succinctly put it, “A one sentence EO that swiftly ends Biden’s border invasion: ‘Reinstate all Trump policies, effective immediately.’”

Outside the Beltway, we are finally figuring out how to win on immigration. It began with Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis flooding sanctuary cities and states with the illegals that used to burden their states. This dramatically changed the local politics of illegal immigration in blue-state “sanctuary cities.” Abbott pressed the advantage by evicting federal border patrol agents from a park in Eagle Pass, because of their refusal to enforce the law (not through their own fault, but at the direction of Biden).

Buoyed by positive press and huge grassroots enthusiasm, Gov. Abbott is escalating his confrontation with the Biden Administration. After a dubious 5-4 Supreme Court decision to lift an injunction gave the federal government authority to take down razor wire put up by Texas at the border, every other GOP governor joined Abbott in support—of whom ten (at the latest count) notably backed him, not just with words but with troops. In a joint statement the GOP governors said that they supported Abbott “utilizing every tool and strategy, including razor wire fences, to secure the border,” while making it clear that because Biden had “abdicated his Constitutional duties,” Texas’s actions were fully justified. Abbott says he is “prepared” for a conflict with the feds. That Abbott, a very mainstream Republican, is comfortable in getting that far out in front of the parade indicates the direction of its march. Even the federal government’s own agents are putting up resistance: the Border Patrol Union has made it clear they will not be following unlawful orders that might impede legal enforcement by states.

So given all of these positive trends, what motivated McConnell and his allies to attempt to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory? Simply put, unlike GOP voters, McConnell and his pals are desperate to get billions more in aid to Ukraine. They had hoped to smuggle it in by combining it with immigration legislation (which they basically had to do because just 35 percent of GOP voters support additional Ukraine aid). The base was never enthusiastic about this. But many were willing to hold their nose and accept real immigration reform along the lines of the excellent H.R.2 immigration bill in the House in exchange for Ukraine aid.

Instead, McConnell sent a team led by Sen. James Lankford of Oklahoma and supported by immigration squishes like Mitt Romney, Lindsey Graham, John Thune, and John Cornyn. They have negotiated a monstrosity, the details of which haven’t been officially released—but even those that have leaked make this bill a hard pass.

House Speaker Mike Johnson has been very good at messaging publicly that the Senate GOP amnesty bill was a dead letter, long before Trump got involved in opposing the current Senate bill. But John Thune is talking about a “drive to get things done” while Lindsey Graham is emphasizing that we won’t get a better deal under Trump. Romney complained that “the fact that [Trump] would communicate to Republican senators and Congress people that he doesn’t want us to solve the border problem, but basically wants to blame Biden for it—this is really appalling.” “It is immoral for me to think you looked the other way because you think this is the linchpin for President Trump to win,” said North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis. “Texas can’t afford to wait 11 months,” said Sen. Cornyn.

The GOP Senate establishment, including Romney, who will (mark my words) endorse Biden at the 2024 Democratic Convention in a fit of girlish pique, are endorsing disastrous policy while undermining President Trump’s main campaign message. It’s unforgivable.

H.R.2 would have restarted the border wall, made asylum much tougher to obtain, and enacted many other reforms. By contrast, this Senate “compromise bill” seems designed expressly to undermine President Trump on his strongest issue. One can only assume that McConnell would much prefer President Biden to President Trump, which is why he worked so hard behind the scenes in the January 2021 impeachment. Trump is correct that there is no reason to do a border deal “unless we get EVERYTHING we need to shut down the INVASION.” Lankford, while leading on the GOP’s biggest priority, acknowledged that he “had not talked to Trump in months.” What kind of madness is this? We need to be ending asylum, not discussing how many thousands of illegals we are going to let in per day.

Steve Daines, the senator from my state of Montana and current NRSC chair, was one of the only senators in leadership who seemed to be on-message. “It seems to me quite ironic that folks are blaming Trump for the border deal when this is Biden who created the problem and can solve the problem unilaterally through executive action.” This is, of course, obviously true, and should be the only message the GOP should have been delivering from the beginning.

The Republicans cannot be an America First party when the champion of America Last is leading the Senate. The respected Monmouth poll recently showed McConnell has an almost unbelievable 6 percent approval rating among voters, including negative 31 percent among Republicans. His numbers are, as they usually have been, far worse than any other congressional leader. His failed “leadership” over a decade and a half and his more recent wars with Trump and GOP voters have been the biggest impediment to moving the party forward. From both a political perspective (a party that cares about winning) and a policy perspective (making good policy), McConnell has been a disaster.

According to one recent article, “Lankford noted that the deal they are working on now, if passed, will set immigration policy for decades.” All the more reason to send this abomination to the chopping block.

It is easy to blame Lankford, a former Christian camp director who is clearly out of his depth negotiating a high-stakes issue with the Democrats. But the reality is it was McConnell who chose Lankford and McConnell who is to blame for the Senate’s disastrous strategy and messaging on immigration. If Trump is serious about an America First second term, he must demand that McConnell resign from leadership and be replaced by someone capable of leading the entire Senate GOP without not just stepping on Trump’s message, but ignoring the priorities of conservative GOP voters and senators.

The great French diplomat Talleyrand was once reputed to have said of a politician’s unforced error that it was “worse than a crime—it is a blunder.” And this blunder from McConnell, which has completely unnecessarily muddied Trump and the GOP’s most effective issue, needs to be the last act of McConnell’s political career.

We had some good news recently: the U.S. House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee voted to recommend two articles of impeachment against Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. The matter now will be taken up by the entire House. If the House votes to impeach (which is by no means certain, given the number of RINOs who populate the House), Mayorkas will have to stand trial in the Senate.

Under Mayorkas, the Department of Homeland Security has been totally emasculated, at least with respect to the securing of our border with Mexico. Millions of illegals have poured into the United States under his watch. Mayorkas has in effect become the best friend of the Mexican drug cartels and the child traffickers. Thanks to Mayorkas’s abdication of border protection, the Mexican drug cartels have flooded the United States with fentanyl and other deadly or potentially deadly drugs. This has resulted in the deaths of approximately 100,000 American citizens every year.

The articles of impeachment approved by the House Committee charge that Mayorkas “willfully and systematically refused to comply with Federal immigration laws.” The use of the word “willful” is very significant in this context. This is not a case of a federal official who snoozed away his afternoons after three martini lunches and then settled in for a long cigar smoke with his cronies. It’s not a case of neglect and incompetence, it’s a case of a man who deliberately and intentionally worked to undermine, frustrate, and ignore federal law.

If Biden had appointed a Mexican drug lord as U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, we probably wouldn’t have gotten any worse of a result. Indeed, because the drug cartels charge a fee for the privilege of sneaking into the United States from Mexico, they probably would have cracked down on illegals trying to sneak into the United States without paying a fee — simply to protect their own fee arrangements. It can be guessed that a Mexican drug lord likely would have reduced illegal immigration into the United States more than Mayorkas has.

The state of Texas tried to protect its border by installing razor wire barriers. If any proof is needed that Mayorkas’s goal is to sabotage U.S. protection of its border, that proof was supplied when Biden’s corrupt, progressive-infested, and tyrannical Department of Justice sued Texas in the federal courts and won a ruling barring Texas from protecting itself from the evils of illegal immigration.

The Constitution of the United States carefully defines the crime of treason in Article Three, Section 3 as levying war against the United States “or in adhering to their enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.” Conviction of treason under the Constitution requires the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act.

Are the Mexican drug cartels the “enemies” of the United States? It’s hard to see how they are anything but enemies. They have killed and are currently killing about 100,000 Americans each year with the deadly drugs they are illegally importing into the United States. If some nation in the world made it their policy to do this, all or almost all Americans would consider that nation to be an enemy of the United States — and it would soon be brought to a screeching halt, first with ultimatums from the White House and then with war.

Mayorkas is giving the Mexican drug cartels aid and comfort not only by refusing to enforce U.S. immigration but also by affirmatively working to undermine that law. How then is Mayorkas different from a U.S. Army general who, when told of an impending invasion of the United States by another nation, withdraws U.S. troops from the border for the express purpose of allowing the invasion to occur? Wouldn’t the withdrawal of U.S. troops under these circumstances amount to giving aid and comfort to the enemy?

The testimony of two witnesses to an overt act is required, but presumably, it wouldn’t be too difficult to find Border Patrol agents who could testify to “stand-down”-type orders coming down from Washington that can be traced directly to Mayorkas.

Prospects for convicting Mayorkas in the Democratic-controlled U.S. Senate are probably slim to none at this point. Should a Republican win the White House in 2024, however, all the cards would remain on the table in terms of prosecution for treason, not only for Mayorkas but also possibly for Biden himself.

WALL STREET JOURNAL: Imams and politicians in the Michigan city side with Hamas against Israel and Iran against the U.S.

Dearborn, Mich. Thousands march in support of Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran. Protesters, many with kaffiyehs covering their faces, shout “Intifada, intifada,” “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” and “America is a terrorist state.” Local imams give fiery antisemitic sermons. This isn’t the Middle East. It’s the Detroit suburb of Dearborn, Mich.

Almost immediately after Oct. 7, and long before Israel began its ground offensive in Gaza, people were celebrating the horrific events of that day in pro-Hamas rallies and marches throughout Dearborn. A local headline describing an Oct. 10 event at the Ford Performing Arts Center read “Michigan rally cheers Hamas attack.”

Local enthusiasm for jihad against Israel and the West extends beyond celebration of Hamas.

The Islamic Center of America, a leading Dearborn mosque, held a memorial service on Dec. 30 for a Hezbollah operative killed in an Israeli airstrike. The Hadi Institute, which runs an Islamic Montessori school and bills itself as a youth community center, held a “Commemoration of the Martyrs” on Jan. 5.

This event honored Quds Force Commander Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, leader of the Iran-backed Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq. Both men were on the U.S. list of designated terrorists when they were killed in a U.S. airstrike on Jan. 3, 2020.

The commemoration included poetry and praise, along with claims about ISIS being operated by both the Central Intelligence Agency and the Mossad. Imam Abdulghani used his remarks to express his “warmest congratulations” to “our very special leader, Imam Khamenei”—essentially declaring allegiance to the Iranian ayatollah who regularly calls for the destruction of the U.S.

Support for terrorism in southern Michigan has long been a concern for U.S. counterterrorism officials. A 2001 Michigan State Police assessment submitted to the Justice Department after 9/11 called Dearborn “a major financial support center” and a “recruiting area and potential support base” for international terror groups, including possible sleeper cells. The assessment noted that most of the 28 State Department-identified terror groups were represented in Michigan. Many current or onetime Dearborn residents have been convicted of terror-related crimes in recent years.

Dearborn’s radical politics are complicating Mr. Biden’s path to re-election.

Michigan is a must-win state for Democrats, and the president’s campaign strategists are clearly worried that virulent anti-Israel and anti-American sentiment could hurt him in November. The AP reported Jan. 26 that local leaders gave Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez the cold shoulder during a recent visit to the Detroit area.

Open support for Hamas is spreading. Since Oct. 7, similar protests have occurred in major American cities featuring pro-jihadist imagery, chants and slogans. Rallies are now also expressing support for the Iran-backed Houthis, who are lobbing missiles at Israel and trying to sink commercial vessels in the Red Sea.

Thirteen Republican governors attended a Sunday media briefing in Eagle Pass, Texas during which Governor Greg Abbott urged President Joe Biden to take action on the issue of illegal migrant entries along the southern U.S. border, CBS News reported.

Abbott intensified his clash with the Biden administration over runaway immigration issues, demanding immediate action to stem the flow of illegal migrants across the southern border, according to the outlet.

Abbott’s critique of Biden’s handling of border security was unreserved. He accused the administration of neglecting its duties, emphasizing the onus now falls squarely on the federal government to uphold the nation’s laws.

“Joe Biden, it is your turn now — your obligation, your duty, to follow the laws Congress passed and secure the border, just as Texas has,” Abbott stated.

The confrontation has been brewing for some time, with Texas taking unilateral steps to curb illegal crossings. State authorities controversially restricted U.S. Border Patrol access to Shelby Park in Eagle Pass in January. Abbott also attributes a significant drop in local illegal entries to Texas’ extendive deployment of razor wire barriers, asserting their effectiveness in securing the border area, the outlet reported.

Abbott didn’t hesitate to invoke constitutional rights in defense of his actions while also accusing Biden of facilitating unauthorized entry into the country. This sentiment was echoed by Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who criticized the federal government’s inaction, which compels states to take matters into their own hands, CBS News noted.

“Because of his failures, Governor Abbott is having to step up, governors from across the country are having to step up and do the job of the federal government because they simply won’t,” Sanders stated, according to CBS News.

The United States Senate published the text of a long-awaited deal to enact border security reforms in exchange for aid to Ukraine on Sunday, marking the end of negotiations that had begun in December.

The 370-page bill — titled the Emergency National Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024 — would appropriate $118 billion in total, with $48 billion to aid Ukraine during its war against Russia and nearly $16 billion to aid Israel during its conflict with Hamas until Dec. 31, as well as fund border security reforms. The latter reforms include more funds for the hiring of new immigration judges to expedite the processing of asylum and deportation proceedings as well as law enforcement operations to detain and remove foreign nationals present illegally in the United States.

“The border security bill will put a huge number of new enforcement tools in the hands of a future administration and push the current Administration to finally stop the illegal flow. The bill provides funding to build the wall, increase technology at the border, and add more detention beds, more agents, and more deportation flights,” wrote Republican Sen. James Lankford of Oklahoma, the chief GOP negotiator of the bill, in an email to the Daily Caller News Foundation. “The border security bill ends the abuse of parole on our southwest border that has waived in over a million people. It dramatically changes our ambiguous asylum laws by conducting fast screenings at a higher standard of evidence, limited appeals, and fast deportation.”

A key provision of the bill in Title IV is the creation of an emergency authority to summarily remove foreign nationals who enter the U.S. illegally, without standard removal proceedings under Title 8, if the week-long average of such entrants increases to over 5,000 persons per day. This summary removal requirement expires only once the two-week average number of illegal entries decreases to 3,750 persons per day.

This provision has proved to be controversial among Republicans, who responded to its disclosure ahead of the bill’s release and have argued that it will not meaningfully reduce illegal immigration. The bill imposes caps on the number of days in a calendar year that the emergency authority may be exercised.

“I never believed we should link policy demands to emergency aid for our allies, but Republicans insisted—so Democrats negotiated in good faith over many weeks and now there is a bipartisan deal on border policy legislation,” wrote Senate Appropriations Committee Chair Patty Murray, who released the bill’s text. “Ukraine’s fate and so much more hangs in the balance—it’s time for Congress to act.”

The bill would appropriate $723 million to hire more U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers and U.S. Border Patrol agents, who provide front-line border security and law enforcement, as well as $534.68 million to hire more U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement special agents, who are responsible for arresting and removing illegally present foreign nationals. The bill would also invest nearly $4 billion into U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), which adjudicates all asylum claims and would support the hiring of 4,338 asylum officers to process these claims.

Asylum officers, furthermore, would be granted new authority to provisionally adjudicate claims for asylum at the border, as opposed to the current practice, where an applicant is released into the country and given a notice to appear later, sometimes years after arriving. USCIS asylum officers would be empowered to conduct interviews at the border to initially determine whether someone is eligible for asylum, according to a new and stricter standard, with those deemed ineligible being placed in removal proceedings.

“Migrants are approaching the border and being processed and released into the country, sometimes with a piece of paper called a ‘notice to appear’ where they may see a judge in five, seven, ten years. No one knows. Our law changes that and ends the practice of catch-and-release,” independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona told CBS Face the Nation on Sunday, ahead of the bill’s release. “So, when people approach the border and say they want to enter our country to seek asylum…we actually do an interview right then and there, to determine whether they meet the standard for asylum.”

“For those who do not meet that standard…they will be swiftly returned to their home country,” Sinema said.

Apart from reforms to combat illegal immigration, the bill contains several measures to reform legal immigration, which has been demanded by both Republican and Democratic senators, alike. The bill would authorize 250,000 new immigrant visas for lawful permanent residency (known more commonly as “green cards”) to relieve long backlogs currently faced by many foreign national applicants living legally in the country.

In a major concession to the children of such persons, known as “Documented Dreamers,” who normally “age out” of their parents’ status after residing in the country for most of their lives, the bill allows them to temporarily remain in the United States if they have resided in the country for eight years before turning 21, pending the grant of permanent residency. The bill would, furthermore, grant immediate authorization to foreign fiancées and spouses of U.S. citizens to work in the country, as well as grant permanent residency to certain Afghan refugees who evacuated Kabul in 2021 and are presently in the country.

Numerous high-ranking politicians shared their opinions on the deal shortly after it was released.

“I have no doubt that the Senate can, once again, rise to the occasion and lead America forward,” wrote Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Twitter, now known as X. He added that the bill was a “monumental step towards strengthening America’s national abroad and along our borders.”

“The Senate must carefully consider the opportunity in front of us and prepare to act,” wrote Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell in a statement. He indicated that the bill would “equip future leaders with a system that works and new emergency tools to restore order.”

Others, however, disagreed with the bill. “This is asinine,” wrote Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah on Twitter, noting that much of the bill’s authority would be “left to the discretionary whims of Secretary Mayorkas—who, I might add, is currently being impeached for failing to actually enforce existing law.”

“We’ve reached an agreement on a bipartisan deal that includes the toughest and fairest set of border reforms in decades,” wrote President Joe Biden shortly after the bill’s release, indicating that he would sign it into law. “I urge Congress to pass this bill immediately.”

America’s Future Clouded By Illegal Immigration, Uncontrolled Debt

Americans are feeling growing unease about the accumulating dysfunctions afflicting us which seem to elude governmental solutions. The combination of weak leadership and irresolute voters has led to diminished standing internationally, inflation, rising crime rates, energy shortages, the hollowing out of once-great cities, and persistent racial disparities.

Yet the greatest threats of all to our future are the national debt and illegal immigration, both of which are wildly out of control. These two dangers, if not soon contained, threaten to consign our beloved nation to second-tier status.

Yes, it could happen. Americans tend to believe that everything will be OK, because this is America where everything naturally gets better.

But there’s nothing inevitable about our good fortune. Yes, we have a fortuitous history, but the music could stop at any time if we habitually neglect the discipline necessary for successful self-government.

There’s even an ominous question of whether the debt and illegal immigration are even solvable at this point. Yes, we’ve carried high debt loads before, notably after World War II. Strong economic growth rescued us then. Innovation and improved productivity are again our only realistic hope of avoiding sharp economic decline.

But we’ve worked ourselves into a dangerous situation, where our annual debt service has reached $1 trillion. We are forced to borrow to make interest payments while our debt continues to grow – a death spiral normally leading to bankruptcy. Creditors will soon demand higher interest payments and many may refuse to buy our debt altogether.

The effects of the massive migration of the last few years will also be difficult to reverse. Even if we ended illegal immigration today, the 20 million new residents among us aren’t going home and deportation of this scope may be impossible.

At least two million are “gotaways“ who intentionally intentionally avoided border checkpoints, for reasons we can easily guess. This means not only will our lives become more dangerous but social, educational and criminal justice systems will all be undergoing stress tests just at a time when we are running out of money (see above)

Sure, Democrats have enthusiastically led the open borders craze. They ludicrously claim there is nothing they can do unless Republicans will legislate more, spend more and agree to comprehensive immigration reform, a.k.a. universal amnesty.

But Republicans had their chance to close the border and didn’t. Instead of cutting back immigration, the Trump administration could have used executive authority to close the border entirely to unauthorized entry, as the law requires.

Americans’ traditional respect for the Rule of Law is a linchpin of our national success. We ignore it to our detriment. We now will pay an awful price for keeping the door cracked a little open when the law is clear

Democrats have also led the charge for irresponsible spending for false reasons (Covid) or for pure political gain (student loan forgiveness). But Republicans have failed to be the adults in the room, quailing at the threatened “government shutdowns” during spending debates, sneakily supporting spending abuses like earmarks, and generally refusing to expend political capital on spending reductions.

When you’re in a hole stop digging, right? The first orders of business are to close the border and balance the budget. Both require prodigious amounts of political will and these are just first steps.

There is some hope in the sudden transformation of the formerly sanctimonious sanctuary city jurisdictions. When faced with the realities of millions of unvetted, unskilled dependents demanding…well, everything, they are swiftly losing their enthusiasm.

For now, the self-described humanitarians are demanding more help in processing and caring for illegal immigrants, but it’s likely they will become more realistic before long. We’ll see. Voters respond more constructively to crises that affect them personally, which our unmanageable debt will also soon begin to do.

Many historians believe we are seeing the inevitable decline of a still great civilization, a highly successful republic that by choice never became an empire, yet achieved dominance and wealth. Like many before us, prosperity produced softness and self-indulgence in the citizenry and so we too may sink into the dustbin of history.

Somehow we must not – we cannot – let that happen.

Biden delayed retaliatory airstrikes on Iranian backed terrorists while announcing U.S. military intentions to the enemy ahead of the attacks so they can be prepared to kill more Americans — a totally moronic thing to do!

Three American service members were killed and dozens were injured in an unmanned aerial drone attack on a base in Jordan on Sunday, January 28th, 2024.

Biden blamed Iran-backed militias for the first U.S. fatalities after months of strikes by the groups against American forces across the Middle East amid the Israel-Hamas war.

Former Iranian Cultural Attaché to Lebanon Mohammad Mehdi Shariatmadar stated that, “Every bullet, rocket, UAV fired against Israel anywhere are made in Iran or the product of Iranian training”

This would include the UAV used to kill our American soldiers in Jordan.

  • JINSA has tracked more than 90 attacks by Iran and proxies against American soldiers in Iraq and Syria under Biden — and the United States has retaliated only four times.
  • Since the White House is clearly averse to a military confrontation with Iran, the best would be Biden supplying Israel weapons it needs to conduct, if necessary, a military campaign to attack Iranian nuclear facilities.
  • 10/7 should prompt a reorientation of US policy in the Middle East — especially away from accommodating Iran, which heavily funds Hamas and helped plot the onslaught.
  • It’s debatable whether Biden’s recent unfreezing of $6 billion in Iranian assets, in return for five Americans hostages, helped fund the Hamas attack, as some Republicans claim. The attack took time to plan and the money may not have been spent yet, but Tehran could budget based on it.Yet the administration’s extremely lax enforcement of existing sanctions has undeniably enabled Iran to reap tens of billions of dollars.
  • In 2020, under President Donald Trump’s maximum-pressure policy, Iranian oil-export revenue was an estimated $8 billion. Under Biden, it was as much as $37 billion in 2021 and $54 billion in 2022 and is expected to be $46 billion in 2023.
  • In three years, Iran arguably will have earned some $30 billion more than if the Trump enforcement had continued. Its accessible foreign-exchange reserves have soared accordingly, from around $6 billion at the end of 2020 to a projected $43 billion in 2023. This economic windfall might have enabled Tehran before 10/7 to boost its funding of Hamas as well as Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah, all of which have ratcheted up their attacks on Israel this year.
  • If Iran was able to funnel $100 million to Hamas in 2020, in 2023, when its oil revenue has increased many fold, that sum could be far higher.
  • Further, the Biden administration has emboldened Iranian aggression by avoiding confrontation. The administration needs to reverse course from this extreme accommodation of Iran and initiate a far more confrontational approach.
  • Most important in the near term, Biden should sternly and unequivocally convey to Iranian leaders it holds them responsible for the confirmed death of 14 Americans in Israel and 100-plus hostages, reportedly including Americans, its proxy has taken. We could further deter Iran by concluding a mutual-defense pact with Israel, as JINSA recently discussed.

The pro-Hamas riots are a carbon copy of the BLM riots. Like the eco-terrorists, who have taken to vandalizing classical art in museums, their goal isn’t persuasion through awareness, it’s terrorism.

Individual causes, environmentalism, LGBTQ rights, Gaza, Iraq, income inequality, unions, Wall Street, abortion or criminals, are just gateway drugs to radicalize a base for the leftist revolution.

Blocking traffic or airports isn’t really about ending Israeli attacks on Hamas, but about inflicting misery on Americans and making the leftist perpetrators feel powerful and self-righteous by expressing their malice. Don’t think of these as protests; think of them as initiation sessions like those of gangs and cults in which new members prove themselves by hurting someone.

Blocking school buses, ambulances and people coming home from work, or shouting, “shame on you” at kids with cancer is just part of the radicalization process. Its purpose is to make the activists cause pain while being so emotionally detached from their victims that they not only feel nothing when inflicting pain, but that doing so makes them morally superior.

The process produces people capable of not only blocking traffic, but planting bombs.

Communist revolutionaries have exploited wars and food shortages to seize power, only to then inflict even worse wars and food shortages.

But following the Cloward-Piven model, leftists only make things worse. The purpose of leftist governments is to destroy countries by exacerbating every social, economic, geopolitical and cultural problem until they have brought societies to their knees and can seize total power.

Revolutions need causes, but the only real cause of a revolution is its own power. Or as George Orwell wrote in 1984, “One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship.”

DEI educational activists may not be as blatant about it as Hamas, but they share a similar goal of radicalizing a base until it is willing to commit any atrocity and still consider itself morally superior. The processes that produced men willing to rape and murder for Islam in Israel are also producing men and women in the West who are willing to cheer that and to wage war against their own societies in order to protect those rapists and murderers.

After Hamas supporters were caught screaming “shame on you” at children receiving cancer treatment at a Manhattan hospital (“make sure they hear you, they’re in the windows”) some people wondered what they were trying to accomplish.

Questions like that only reveal the vast gap between the pro-Hamas mob and everyone else.

The pro-Hamas protests, allegedly in pursuit of a ceasefire, but in reality celebrating Hamas and now Houthi terrorism, have picked random fights with Starbucks, Christmas tree lightings and Alec Baldwin, to name a few. They are not so much for anything as they are against things.

Reasonable people, usually old-school liberals, still don’t understand the Left. And so they also don’t understand what happened to their movement, their party and their country.

Normal people think that protests are about spreading awareness and winning over others, and they don’t grasp why the rioters are spewing hate at them instead of trying to win them over.

The mobs aren’t there to persuade them, but to express their hatred for them. The common denominator of all of these riots is a burning desire to destroy everything around them. They’re not shutting down airports or smashing store windows to bring attention to a cause.

Smashing windows and shutting down airports is their cause.

Before Hamas, they were smashing windows for abortion, BLM and Occupy Wall Street, and against the Iraq War and to protest the World Trade Organization. Some of the same men in black who are smashing Starbucks windows now for Gaza were smashing them back in Seattle in the WTO protests of 1999. Before too long, they’ll need to retire and collect Social Security.

A quarter-century of smashing Starbucks windows clearly has nothing to do with Gaza.

They don’t care about black lives, the lives in Gaza or Iraq, or the lives of the poor; these are just the pretexts that provide them with moral superiority so they feel justified smashing things.

They block traffic, airport holiday travel and holiday events for whatever cause happens to be trending at any given time. Few of these leftists have any real sense of what Hamas is, and fewer still know who the Houthis are, but they’ll still scream about an “Intifada.”

What they actually want has less to do with Gaza than with right here at home.

“When we finally deal that final blow to destroy Israel. When the state of Israel is finally destroyed and erased from history, that will be the single most important blow we can give to destroying capitalism,” promised Manolo De Los Santos of The People’s Forum, which receives funds out of Communist China and has been linked to many of the pro-Hamas protests.

As David Horowitz frequently reminded us, sixties radicals preached that, “the issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.”

Protests aren’t really “protests” in the sense that liberals think of them as being vehicles to rally for change. They’re the equivalent of Al Qaeda terrorist attacks whose goal is to recruit, radicalize and empower the stormtroopers who are going to wage war against the world.

Blocking traffic or airports isn’t really about ending Israeli attacks on Hamas, but about inflicting misery on Americans and making the leftist perpetrators feel powerful and self-righteous by expressing their malice. Protest-theater rewards leftist activists by making them into the focus of attention. Cameras are on them as they berate anyone in sight, from kids with cancer to Alec Baldwin, for their lack of empathy, and then, justified by the conviction that everyone else is bad, they make them suffer.

That is exactly how this worked in the sixties. Protest rallies were deliberately turned into violent confrontations with police and National Guardsmen to radicalize a generation of leftist students. Only a small number of those actually formed organizations like the Weathermen, but millions more romanticized them and defended their cause. When the terrorists went into academia, entertainment and politics, those supporters swiftly put them into positions of power.

The same cycle has been repeating itself since the relaunch of the anti-war movement after 9/11. Those protests were followed by wholly manufactured causes like Occupy Wall Street and BLM that existed purely to radicalize and recruit a generation to fight a war against America.

The pro-Hamas protests are the work of most of the same coalition and the same mission.

There are some members of the coalition, especially Islamists, who are deeply invested in the idea of a Hamas victory and the destruction of Israel, but most, like The People’s Forum, see destroying Israel as part of the larger leftist mission of destroying America and the West.

The pretext for the destruction matters much less than the overriding revolutionary goal.

Communist revolutionaries have exploited wars and food shortages to seize power, only to then inflict even worse wars and food shortages. Obama promised peace in the Middle East, an end to income inequality and the salvation of the planet. And all of these things only grew worse.

But following the Cloward-Piven model, leftists only make things worse. The purpose of leftist governments is to destroy countries by exacerbating every social, economic, geopolitical and cultural problem until they have brought societies to their knees and can seize total power.

Leftist protests, like the terrorists they support, are also not about fixing anything, but staging ugly hostile confrontations with police and the public to recruit the malicious and the disaffected (while playing the victim) and then escalating the violence and using it to take over a country.

It works. Consider who was in the White House before the BLM riots and who’s there now.

Revolutions need causes, but the only real cause of a revolution is its own power. Or as George Orwell wrote in 1984, “One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship.”

A revolution requires people willing to kill. And so they need to be given reasons to kill. The “cause” is the process of finding those willing to kill and giving them the reasons to do it.

The same processes of training and recruitment that climaxed in the October 7 attacks in Israel are underway in this country. DEI educational activists may not be as blatant about it as Hamas, but they share a similar goal of radicalizing a base until it is willing to commit any atrocity and still consider itself morally superior. The processes that produced men willing to rape and murder for Islam in Israel are also producing men and women in the West who are willing to cheer that and to wage war against their own societies in order to protect those rapists and murderers.

The domestic terrorists of tomorrow are blocking traffic in the streets of our cities today.
