Senate Intelligence Chairman Intends to Probe Calamitous Afghan Exit

The Democrat chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee has called for an investigation into the Biden administration’s execution of a troop withdrawal from Afghanistan that led to the rapid collapse of that country’s government.

“Intelligence officials have anticipated for years that in the absence of the U.S. military the Taliban would continue to make gains in Afghanistan,” Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., said late Monday in a public statement.

“That is exactly what has happened as the Afghan national security forces proved unable or unwilling to defend against Taliban advances in Kabul and across the country,” Warner said, adding that the Biden administration should answer “tough but necessary questions.”

Image

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., called Sunday for a congressional investigation into the Biden administration’s handling of the exit from Afghanistan as the Taliban toppled the U.S.-backed government in a matter of days.

Warner’s call for a probe, however, signals potential bipartisan backing for congressional scrutiny.

Moreover, Warner is a Democrat with actual power to begin and shape an investigation as head of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

In his statement, Warner said:

As the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, I hope to work with the other committees of jurisdiction to ask tough but necessary questions about why we weren’t better prepared for a worst-case scenario involving such a swift and total collapse of the Afghan government and security forces. We owe those answers to the American people and to all those who served and sacrificed so much.

In remarks Monday afternoon at the White House, President Joe Biden largely blamed the Trump administration and Afghan political and military leaders for the outcome, but also said he stands behind his decision to withdraw U.S. troops.

During a press briefing Tuesday, a reporter asked White House press secretary Jen Psaki about Warner’s criticism.

“There’s been some criticism from Democratic lawmakers on Capitol Hill—Mark Warner, [Sen.] Bob Menendez [D-N.J.]— saying—Menendez saying, ‘I’m disappointed that the Biden administration clearly did not accurately assess the implications of a rapid … withdrawal.’ What is the White House’s response to those lawmakers?” the reporter asked.

“Well, I would first say that we did assess early on, when the president asked for a clear-eyed assessment, that there would be impacts and there would be consequences of making the choice he made,” Psaki said, adding:

He also acknowledged yesterday—and I would just reiterate—that this did happen more rapidly than we anticipated here—than anyone anticipated. I think that accounts for members of Congress and people who are on the ground in Afghanistan.

And what our effort is now—is focused on moving as many people out as we can from the country.

On Afghanistan Fiasco, Biden Says ‘Buck Stops With Me’ While Blaming Everyone Else

The buck stops with me,” said President Joe Biden in an address to the nation on Monday after blaming his presidential predecessors for continuing a long war in Afghanistan.

Biden gave the speech in response to criticism of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. After a weekend in which the Taliban effectively took over much of the country, Biden finally addressed the country.

“I stand squarely behind my decision,” Biden said in his televised address. “After 20 years, I’ve learned the hard way that there was never a good time to withdraw U.S. forces.”

While Biden spent much time in his speech defending his decision to pull American troops out of Afghanistan, he did little to explain why the operation was such a mess, and was eager to shift blame to others. Even many in the mainstream left-wing press, like CNN’s Jake Tapper, noticed.

The images coming out of Afghanistan as the Taliban takes over have been both harrowing and disturbing. A mob of terrified people was seen in videos scrambling onto the Kabul’s Hamid Karzai International Airport runway on Sunday amidst rumors that the Taliban was swiftly advancing on the capital.

People were desperately clinging to an Air Force C-17 aircraft as it took off, and several videos have emerged of those people falling from the plane after it had ascended into the sky.

It wasn’t supposed to be this way.

In July, Biden spoke at a news conference assuring the country that the drawdown in Afghanistan was “proceeding in a secure and orderly way, prioritizing the safety of our troops as they depart.”

Biden said there were more than 300,000 members of the Afghan National Security Force that the U.S. and NATO allies have trained to defend the country. He said the presence of this military force meant that a Taliban takeover of the country would not be “inevitable.”

On Monday, he blamed Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani for convincing him that the Afghani army would hold up and fight.

In July, when asked about intelligence services that warned that the country would fall to the Taliban, Biden denied that was the case.

And when asked about the comparisons between the Afghanistan withdrawal and the fall of Saigon at the end of the Vietnam War in 1975, Biden vehemently insisted that we would not see a repeat of helicopters pulling hordes of people out of the U.S. Embassy.

“The Taliban is not the south—the North Vietnamese army,” Biden said. “They’re not—they’re not remotely comparable in terms of capability. There’s going to be no circumstance where you see people being lifted off the roof of an embassy in the—of the United States from Afghanistan. It is not at all comparable.”

After the events over the weekend, one can justly ask if what we are now seeing in Afghanistan is actually worse than the fall of Saigon. Was Biden’s July press conference the least accurate and most clearly and quickly debunked news conference in American presidential history?

This rolling catastrophe should hardly inspire confidence in an administration that billed itself as the one bringing the “adults” back in the room, the one that would “build back better.”

Instead, it’s one of self-made disasters and blame-shifting.

We were also assured that the border was secure, and that the surge in illegal immigration after Biden took office was seasonal. In July, typically a time when border crossings are down due to heat, we saw the highest numbers in over 20 years.

In a statement issued Saturday, Biden made the excuse that the Afghanistan withdrawal’s haphazard nature was a result of commitments made by the previous administration, despite the fact that he had already changed the withdrawal timetable.

He simply repeated this line in Monday’s speech.

The excuse beggars belief as Biden eagerly reversed other Trump policies as soon as he took office. If the “Garden of American Heroes” was worth the time to cancel almost immediately upon taking office, surely the conduct of a complex and dangerous military operation launched under a predecessor was worth adjusting depending on evolving circumstances.

Political scientist and foreign policy expert Walter Russell Mead wrote that the Biden administration will now have to deal with the “worst-handled foreign-policy crisis since the Bay of Pigs and the most devastating blow to American prestige since the fall of Saigon.”

At least President John F. Kennedy took “sole responsibility” for the Bay of Pigs disaster rather than blaming his predecessor, President Dwight Eisenhower.

At this point, the best we can hope for from the administration is to control the damage of its blundering as best as possible. Biden’s refusal to accept responsibility is not the response of an adult in the room, and it hardly sustains confidence in an administration flailing on multiple fronts.

If anything, it affirms the weakness of a tottering regime unable to tackle the crises that beset the nation and unwilling to admit it doesn’t have the answers.

Different Policies For Northern And Southern Borders

Those most likely to have COVID are given the green light, but people with passports from places with high vaccination rates see red lights.

President Biden seems to have taken to heart the biblical injunction not to let the left hand know what the right hand is doing.

When it comes to immigration on our northern and southern borders, President Biden pursues wildly different policies.

With his left hand, President Biden waves in illegal immigrants across our southern border, some without being tested for COVID-19. Simultaneously his right hand is in the “STOP” position toward Canadian and European visitors. You see, they might bring in the Delta variant of the COVID virus.

Visitors with passports, who most likely have been vaccinated, are not allowed here; however, people without papers, many testing positive for COVID, are welcomed and apparently bussed to cities all over America.

Picture the President of the United States as Traffic-Cop-in-Chief. He stops vehicles from one direction as he allows steady flow from another. It makes sense when the cop keeps cars from colliding. But it seems insane on the immigration highway where those travelers most likely to have COVID are given the green light, but people from places with high vaccine rates see red lights.

Leaders of the European Union are threatening to close their borders to Americans. White House press secretary Jen Psaki said recently “Given where we are today … with the Delta variant, we will maintain existing travel restrictions at this point.”

According to Reuters, “It means that the long-running travel restrictions that have barred much of the world’s population from the United States since 2020 will not be lifted in the short term.” This is bad for our relationship with the EU and for our economy.

On the other hand, the barrier laws that prohibit entrance without passports and COVID tests have been lifted at our southern border.

At the border city McAllen, Texas, officials declared their town a disaster because the border patrol released 7,000 migrants onto its streets. As reported by the Washington Examiner, “More than 1,500 people tested positive over the past seven days, according to a city document issued Wednesday, compared to a total of 7,000 confirmed cases over the past five months. Those who test positive are told to quarantine for two days but are ultimately released into the public.”

Wait a minute—they quarantine for only two days? Then the CDC guidelines requiring isolation 14 days doesn’t apply at the border. Why is that?

This huge number of immigrants in McAllen is overwhelming those providing humanitarian services and, the city said, “increas[ing] the threat of COVID spread or other lawlessness within the city.” McAllen’s problem, of course.

But the left hand considers the chaos no problem to those living in Washington, D.C. On the other hand, the president is making sure no planes from Europe with foreign visitors will be landing at Ronald Reagan Airport.

It is time President Biden’s left and right hands met each other and had a shake and a chat aimed at some kind of agreement.

The President might recall Abraham Lincoln’s speech before the Republican convention in 1858. “A house divided against itself cannot stand,” Lincoln said. The truth is, neither can a man divided against himself stand either. President Biden is divided against himself on border policy: an open hand on the Southern border, and a closed fist on the Canadian border. When his left-hand does one thing and his right hand the opposite, that behavior is promised no reward because it stems from hypocrisy.

Who Do You Think Will Be Listening, Mister President?

On Monday afternoon, while audiences around the world watched the unfolding of the evacuation of Kabul, President Biden offered the American people the rationale behind his decision to order the end of America’s commitment to its longest war. The story isn’t over, of course; six thousand U.S. military personnel have been ordered to Afghanistan to facilitate the evacuation of U.S and allied citizens as well as Afghan nationals whose service to the United States is likely to put their and their families’ lives in danger.

Reporters and media analysts have already begun to ask some uncomfortable questions concerning the timing and planning of the operation and the underlying intelligence assessments.  While the President could not get away from the press quickly enough after offering his remarks, these sorts of questions are going to follow him, especially if the situation on the ground deteriorates or requires an even greater military commitment.

President Biden’s decision to withdraw from Afghanistan, the evacuation from Kabul, even the entire 20-year U.S. war effort will be subject to debate and analysis for a long time to come.

One striking, and perhaps little noted, aspect of the President’s speech was his apparent vision for the future of U.S. involvement in Afghanistan.  President Biden stressed that “human rights must be the center of our foreign policy” and that in Afghanistan “we’re focused on what is possible.”

“We will continue to support the Afghan people.  We will lead with our diplomacy, our international influence, and our humanitarian aid. We’ll continue to push for regional diplomacy and engagement to prevent violence and instability.  We’ll continue to speak out for the basic rights of the Afghan people — of women and girls — just as we speak out all over the world.”

While these things may be possible, none of them are likely to matter much. Just who does the President expect to be listening when he continues to “support” and “speak out” for the Afghan people?  Certainly not the Taliban, a group of fanatical religious obscurantists with a philosophy better suited for the Middle Ages and dedicated to governance through barbarism. They obviously are not impressed by U.S. diplomacy and are not likely to be swayed by U.S. influence (about which they do not care), offers of humanitarian aid (which they would only seek to manipulate), or appeals to their better nature (which they do not have).  And do not expect other regional actors like Russia, China, Iran, and Pakistan, all of which have continuing interests in Afghanistan and none of which have an interest in human rights, to provide much of an audience either.

Given that the President has already publicly “washed his hands of Afghanistan”  his stated intent to “speak out all over the world” for the Afghan people is either hopelessly naïve or a deeply cynical attempt to retain some measure of crumbling moral authority, a disingenuous means of putting a better face on a bad situation.  Maybe it was just a pro forma throw-away line engineered by his speechwriters who hoped nobody would pay much attention.  Whatever the case, it begs the question: When, if ever, you speak out for the Afghan people Mr. President, who do you really think will be listening?

Obama Freed The Taliban Leader Who Engineered Kabul Takeover

Former President Barack Obama didn’t listen to Pentagon officials when they told him Taliban mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa was too dangerous to release. Instead, he freed the group that came to be known as the ‘Gitmo five’ — Khairkhwa alongside four of his buddies — from the Guantanamo Bay prison in 2014 in exchange for a U.S. soldier who deserted his post.

Obama all but guaranteed that Khairkhwa and the four other men would be sent to Qatar, where their movements would be restricted and where they could do no harm. As it turns out, the Taliban isn’t as trustworthy as the former president thought.

Now, Khairkhwa has resurfaced as one of the masterminds behind the Taliban’s takeover of Kabul, the New York Post reported Tuesday.

The Taliban leaders didn’t grow any fonder of America while they were locked up. After their release, the Taliban five made contact with active Taliban extremists in Afghanistan and vowed they would return to fight against America.

The Gitmo five were among the Taliban representatives negotiating for peace in Afghanistan, which eventually led to the U.S. withdrawing troops in the region. Khairkhwa has said in the past that the Taliban wouldn’t launch a military offensive if Biden withdrew troops from Afghanistan. Shockingly, it doesn’t appear that the Taliban has kept its word.

In 2001, Khairkhwa was accused of collaborating with Osama bin Laden, and was subsequently arrested. When Obama released him, Khairkhwa wasn’t shy about wanting to establish strict Islamic rule in Afghanistan — and that’s just what he’s doing.

The Obama-Biden administration was notoriously lax on their treatment of Gitmo prisoners. Former President Donald Trump tightened the reins during his time in office, but Biden has reinstated Obama’s policy of releasing dangerous prisoners.

There’s no telling what would’ve happened in Afghanistan had Khairkhwa and his cronies been left in prison — but it wasn’t hard to predict that a man with clear ties to infamous terrorists would return to extremism after prison.

Our Military Leaders Are Traitors With Ribbons On Their Chest And Stars On Their Shoulders.

Afghanistan: Missing In Action — The World is Laughing At Us.

My elder cousin, BG John C. “Doc” Bahnsen, Jr. (ret.), is one of the Vietnam War’s most decorated combat officers—Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star (5), Distinguished Flying Cross (4), Legion of Merit (3), Bronze Star (4), Air Medal (51) and Vietnam Cross of Gallantry.

A USMA classmate of Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf and 2016 recipient of West Point’s Distinguished Graduate Award, my cousin sent the following message in early 2017 to his family e-group recommending an article titled The U.S. Military’s Dangerous Embedded Assumptions:

Our nation is not ready to go to war.

This is a fair assessment of where we are today.

Fight fiercely,

JCB

Another sobering article about the weakened state of combat readiness was written by Admiral James A. “Ace” Lyons (ret.), former Commander in Chief of the Pacific Fleet and former Deputy Chief of Naval Operations. In The Need for Accountability, Adm. Lyons described the tremendous harm done to America’s combat readiness during the two-term presidency of Barack Obama.

Adm. Lyons’ views matched those of one of his most notable protégés, Cmdr. Richard “Demo Dick” Marcinko (ret.), founder and first commanding officer of SEAL Team Six. In response to my email inquiry shortly after President Trump took office, Marcinko told me the military had been so badly degraded that he doubted America had the ability to bring a conventional war with North Korea to a decisive conclusion.

When Michelle Obama said she would never forgive President Trump for questioning her husband’s birthplace, Trump replied that he would never forgive her husband for what he did to the military. Trump’s assessment of the damage his predecessor did to the military was spot-on. A jaw-dropping 2018 report by the bi-partisan National Defense Strategy Commission (NDSC) found that due to the atrophied condition of its armed forces, America could struggle to win–or could lose!—a war against Russia or China.

According to the NDSC report, if America went to war against Russia or China, its sons and daughters in uniform would likely suffer catastrophic losses, and its armed forces would be at risk of being overwhelmed if forced to fight two wars simultaneously.

The military exists to fight and win wars, with its senior commanders responsible for ensuring their respective branch is fully prepared to pull its weight in carrying out that foremost national imperative.  While Obama packed the Pentagon with progressive activists more committed to “social justice” than combat readiness, America’s highest-ranking generals and admirals offered no pushback, perhaps in fear of being called racist and seeing their career abruptly end.

In deciding whose career would flourish and whose wouldn’t, Obama had military promotion boards select officers willing to aggressively support his stated intent to “fundamentally transform the United States of America.” Military commanders quickly realized that for their career to flourish, they must enthusiastically embrace Obama’s plan for America’s armed forces: full bore indoctrination in critical race theory, white privilege, Project 1619, political correctness, identify politics, toxic masculinity, transgenderism, cancel culture, wokeness and other neo-Marxist victim vs. oppressor political constructs.

For the first time ever, many of America’s highest-ranking military commanders have become willing political pawns who actively promote an ideology that is anti-American in the most deeply troubling meaning of the term. In doing so, they have betrayed the oath they took to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Before Obama was elected, the foremost enemy of our constitutional system was understood by both political parties to be communism. Such is no longer the case, as one of those parties has defected to the side of the hammer and sickle. By joining forces with that party, many of our nation’s admirals and generals have capitulated to enhance career advancement and land lucrative gigs with woke defense contractors in retirement. Collectively, these high-ranking commanders have turned themselves into traitors with ribbons on their chest and stars on their shoulders.

Some of what’s happening in Biden’s thoroughly woke military:

  • The hyper-politicized Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Gen. Mark Milley, refused to condemn critical race theory and compared supporters of President Trump to Nazis.
  • Woke Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Michael Gilday refused to remove anti-American books from Fleet reading recommendations.
  • Tasked with purging Trump supporters from the military, race arsonist Benjamin Garrison, senior adviser to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, said in a 2019 tweet, “Trump is a racist and support for him is support for ALL his beliefs.”
  • Currying ideological favor with woke defense contractors can pay off big-time for retired generals and admirals. During his first four years of retirement, 4-star Gen. Lloyd Austin, the current Secretary of Defense, raked in $7 million as a board member of woke corporations, including America’s #2 defense contractor, Raytheon Technologies, which instructed its white employees to “deconstruct your whiteness.”
  • In May, the commanding officer of the 11th Space Warning Squadron at Buckley Air Force Base in Colorado was fired by a woke lieutenant general for speaking out against Marxist indoctrination in the military.
  • Woke Air Force Academy Superintendent Lt Gen Richard Clark refused to publicly discuss Marxist indoctrination of the Corps of Cadets.
  • The Air Force Academy launched a “Transgender Working Group” in compliance with a May 2017 Pentagon directive. Biden is doubling down on Obama’s attempt to put an effeminate stamp on the U.S. military. Russia and China do not use their armed forces for social experimentation—their single-minded focus is WINNING WARS. Check out the two U.S. military officers in Military Recruiting Ads: Russia vs. U.S. and you’ll see why America’s military is seen by its most potent adversaries as a laughing stock.
  • While woke Pentagon officials were focused on transgenderism, toxic masculinity, critical race theory and other neo-Marxist political themes, the U.S. military “failed miserably” at classified war games against China, according to Joint Chiefs Vice Chair Gen. John E. Hyten.
  • A combat veteran of the war in Iraq, Fox News host Pete Hegseth recently discussed the purge that’s occurring in all branches of the U.S. military, an all-out effort by the Biden Pentagon to implement left-wing political purity within the ranks – WATCH. Purging the military of service members who oppose the political party in power is what Hitler and Stalin did in the 1930s, and what China, Cuba and North Korea are doing today.
  • In a March 21 segment of his top-rated cable news show, Tucker Carlson cited multiple examples of the radical ideology being pushed by Biden’s woke military commanders – WATCH.

Once upon a time, nearly all Americans had deep respect for their nation’s top military commanders. That is no longer the case, as revealed in “Has the Military Lost Middle America?” by Victor Davis Hanson. Finally, a police state cannot take root without the consent of the military. Because Biden’s traitors with ribbons on their chest and stars on their shoulders have surrendered to the Marxists in our midst, ”Obama’s Police State Dream Is Coming True.”

Ayanna Pressley’s ‘Cancel Rent’ Hypocrisy, Exposed

The congresswoman’s rental income is another reminder that landlords are not all wealthy CEOs or big companies.

“Landlord” has become a dirty word in progressive politics. From the #CancelRent movement to support for the CDC’s unlawful “eviction moratorium,” prominent left-wing politicians want the government to back the “good guys,” renters, at the expense of the “bad guys,” landlords. So, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley may have some explaining to do.

The Massachusetts Democrat and #CancelRent advocate has apparently been a landlord for several years now, according to new investigative reporting. She has reportedly earned tens of thousands of dollars in rental income from a Boston property.

“Pressley’s 2020 financial disclosure, filed on Friday, disclosed between $5,000 and $15,000 in rental income from a Boston property in her husband’s name,” Fox News reports. “The property was converted into a multi-family apartment after it was purchased, according to Pressley’s disclosure.”

It’s unclear whether or not Pressley chose to “cancel” rent for her own tenants.

“Pressley’s office did not immediately return Fox News’ request for comment on whether she and her husband canceled rent for their tenants at any point in 2020,” the report continues. “She disclosed the same range of rental income – between $5,000 and $15,000 – in 2020 as she did in 2019, before the pandemic began.”

However, the moral of the story here is much broader than another instance of possible hypocrisy from big-government politicians. (There’s been no shortage of such examples during the pandemic to date). In fact, the congresswoman’s rental income is another reminder that landlords are not all wealthy CEOs or big companies.

Ayanna Pressley is not a multi-millionaire. She is not “the 1%.” In fact, she came from poverty and has an inspiring story of making it against the odds. And now, she is, most likely, somewhere in the middle or upper-middle class. But so are many other landlords, despite progressive rhetoric that paints them all as wealthy and greedy.

According to CNBC, around 14 percent of landlord households earn less than $50,000 annually. Another 15.4 percent earn $50,000-$89,000, while roughly 30 percent are in the $90,000-$200,000 range. In short, a huge portion of landlords are working or middle class.

So, government interventions into the rental market are not the benevolent interventions protecting the working class from exploitation by the rich that #cancelrent advocates claim. Canceling rent, eviction moratoriums, and similar policies are arbitrary and unfair measures that make some working class people winners but others losers. Congresswoman (and landlord!) Ayanna Pressley, of all people, should know that.

Mengele, Fauci, Zyklon B and the Poisonous Clot Shot

“Fear is often false evidence appearing real.”  – Nick Vujicic, a man born without limbs

“A government is like fire, a handy servant, but a dangerous master.” –  George Washington

“If we do a really great job on new vaccines and… reproductive health services, (i.e., abortion) we could lower the world population by perhaps 10% or 15%.” –  Bill Gates

“The United Nation’s goal is to reduce population selectively by encouraging abortion, forced sterilization, and control of human reproduction, and regards two-thirds of the human population as baggage, with 350,000 people to be eliminated per day.” –  Jacques Cousteau, UNESCO Courier, Nov. 1991

“A total world population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal.” –  Ted Turner, former husband of American traitor Jane Fonda

Is the power of humanity greater than the authoritarian evil thrust upon us for nearly two years?  This country had a watershed event in 1860 that destroyed states’ rights and gave us an all-powerful centralized federal government.  Revisionist history and propaganda are spoon fed to our children via government education and mainstream media camouflaged with a façade of truth, but concealing a core of subversion, fraud and devilish deceit.

Marxist Slavery

Total slavery is planned for all people…red and yellow, black and white, worldwide, many are living under massive government surveillance now, including Americans. Fear has controlled populations with masks, lockdowns, experimental jabs and totalitarian dictatorial powers deciding the very future of humanity.  Marxism is here although today’s youth unwittingly embrace it.

Simply put, if you’re an American, freedom is fleeing.  Fascism is the collusion between government and corporations.  Communism is the control of production which means future shortages of toilet paper and empty grocery shelves much like those in Marxist-run Venezuela and Cuba. Communist refugees who would cry with joy when seeing loaded shelves in American groceries, will soon recognize what they left has also immigrated.

“When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing – When you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors – When you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you – When you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice – You may know that your society is doomed.” Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged 1957

And we, the masses, are those who will lose our property, our livelihoods, and ultimately be starved to death by demonic masters. Over 40% of the middleclass lost their businesses and incomes in 2020, and this was only the beginning of middleclass elimination.

Who will state the truth?  True leaders are silent. Few radio or TV hosts ever speak the entire truth of what we’re facing…talk is cheap…we need action.  The meetings, the councils, the videos, and the articles continue exposing the rot, but no one has drawn the sword of righteousness to expose the demonic entities who wish our demise.  No one tells the core of the evil which has overtaken America. It’s Fascism and communism combined.

Smaller European nations are in revolt, and are being crucified for speaking truth.  Where are Americans?  Where is truth?  Where is the spirit of liberty, that liberty our founders fought for during the Revolutionary War…that liberty that loosed the chains of control?  Where are we?  Is anyone awake?

Many believe Covid started the downward spiral of America’s freedoms, but America’s demise started nearly two centuries ago and demonic doctrine has slowly inculcated every facet of our society from the founding of this nation.  Marxist doctrine has been minutely and secretly inserted into our nation’s laws by representatives who give no credence to our founders written desires for free men to elect servants of the people. They disobey their oaths of office from the minute they’re sworn into office on the Bible, and now sworn in on the shariah encoded Koran.

Evil slithers into every entity, companies, institutions, associations, governments and  pulpits to destroy freedom, liberty and life, evidenced by all the woke corporations and organizations. Baby boomers have seen it all and their ancestors, the greatest generation, are all but gone.  Now we fight for our lives and the lives of our descendants against the purposeful agenda of depopulation via medical nihilism and malfeasance.

Debunking the Fraudulent Medical Consensus

The Nazis had a saying, “für ihre Sicherheit.”  It means, “for their safety” or “for your safety.”  How many times have we heard that masks, social distancing, and lockdowns are “for your safety?” The mRNA “vaccines” by Pfizer and Moderna are the new Zyklon-B of Nazi Germany’s extermination camps, but this time it comes in a needle, a needle that rapes you of your life.  Interesting that Pfizer apparently doesn’t mandate the jab for their own employees.

And the repeated and disgusting slogan, “We’re in this together.”  Like hell we are!  How many politicians died of Covid?  How many of the elite lost their livelihoods?  How many suicides?  And how many gave up ever trying again?

Anthony Fauci is today’s Dr. Joseph Mengele along with his assistant Bill Gates and friends. He is the master of confusion and that is part of the PSYOPS.  Thirteen million were murdered by the National Socialists of Germany, millions upon millions more will die from the experimental injection of death. Today’s genocide is worldwide and a massive extermination of humanity.  I.G. Farben created Zyklon-B for Nazi Germany, used to gas millions to death. Now Fauci, Gates and the rest of the medical hierarchy are thrilled with their new “investigational” jabs.

Letting thousands die, first by the lies spread against cheap and safe decades-old lifesaving medications, hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin, and then by killing off and maiming hundreds of thousands more with their “warp speed” messenger RNA vaccines. It’s not enough that seven million babies have been murdered in their mother’s wombs, the holocaust continues against all humanity.

The many physicians, scientists and attorneys who are speaking the truth face censorship, character assassination, loss of grants, board positions and licenses. This is part and parcel of the evil overriding the truth in our nation.  Our first amendment is blasphemed and destroyed by the totalitarians who’ve controlled our livelihoods for nearly two years, and those who continue to wield their authoritarian power

Medical Heroes

Imagine a vaccine so safe that the government has to coerce you to take it… for a virus that 99.75% recover from but is so deadly that you have to be tested to find out if you have it. A genuine pandemic doesn’t require 24/7 advertising to remind you that it exists.  Real pandemics don’t need marketing campaigns and endless propaganda, but psychological operations do!  Yes, it’s a PSYOP!

Dr. Vladimir Zelenko is interviewed on this website by Israel’s Avi Abelow.  Scroll to the second video and listen to this marvelous physician.

Dr. Zelenko tells us, “No one needs this vaccine, this is the big lie.  If this vaccine is so effective, and you already have two shots, why are the two countries with the most vaccinated in the world, Israel and St. Ellis, the ones with the most outbreaks of the virus?  The recovery risk in younger people in 99.998%.  So, anyone who has allowed their children to get ‘vaccinated’ is guilty of child abuse and potentially murder.  Israel’s leader, Bennett said that the ‘vaccine’ was going to expire and he had 25,000 children jabbed in one day, and that is the epitome of evil. My feeling is that the current Israeli government is a reincarnation of Joseph Mengele, and actually even worse.”

“If you have a demographic that has a nearly 100% recovery with no treatment, why would I put an experimental death liquid into them?  According to Dr. Michael Yeadon, director of vaccine development for Pfizer, he says for every one child who would die from Covid, which is one in a million, 50 will die from the ‘vaccine.’  Someone who has had Covid, has now recovered and has antibodies, they are a million times more effective in protecting you than artificially produced ‘vaccine’ induced antibodies.  As for the high-risk group, if you treat people early, with the onset of symptoms within the first few days, you can reduce their death and hospitalization rate by 85%.”

But the FDA, CDC, and NIH promoted the false Lancet report on Hydroxychlorquine and Ivermectin.  Thousands of our beloved parents and grandparents could have been saved, but were allowed to die and die alone.

Dr. Ryan Cole’s 17-minute speech at the White Coat Summit is a must listen.  He’s a Mayo Clinic certified anatomic and clinical pathologist and more.  He asks, “If we have billions to advertise a clot shot to children who don’t need it, Dr. Fauci, where’s the funding for science?” He goes on to explain that the spike protein is the toxin and asks why we are injecting into the body that which is the toxin that will cause the same illnesses and disease and death in humans that it caused in animals.  He shows countless slides of cells before and after the clot shot and tells us this is a poisonous attack on our population and it needs to stop now!  He warns that those who recovered from Covid and then received the jab are in serious trouble.

Another doctor stepped up to tell an Indiana school board how absolutely ignorant they were by demanding school children wear masks.

Dr. Daniel Stock gave a six-minute speech to the Mt. Vernon, Indiana school board, telling the truth about mask mandates and what is being done to our children.

Health Care Workers

Miguel Escobar spoke to the Edinburg, Texas school board meeting.  He is a Physician Assistant and has worked in healthcare for over 15 years.  He spends only 13 minutes explaining the facts to the board.  We cannot see them, but we do see the people behind him on their cell phones when this man expounds on what is really happening.  Please watch the video.  I applaud him!

Abrien Aguirre, a board-certified occupational therapist in Hawaii tells what is happening in nursing facilities.  He has worked in three Covid facilities in Oahu.  He was interviewed at an outside protest at the Hawaii State Capitol in Honolulu by a group known as “Hawaii Free Speech News.”  His elderly patients are dying at rates much higher after the jab than with Covid. Yes, bumping off the pensioners saves money for the state.  The ten-minute video can be seen here.

Attorney Reiner Fuellmich

In this 10-minute video, attorney Reiner Fuellmich tells us the World Health Organization (WHO) has now declared that the Covid virus is no more dangerous than the common flu.  This is a far cry from their early 2020 forecast by WHO and Dr. Fauci of two million dead Americans. When this news was delivered to President Trump, Fauci urged the shutdown of our massive economy ultimately destroying 40% of small businesses resulting in suicides, drug overdoses, abuse and bankruptcy.

The Dresden PCR test which was declared by the WHO under control of Bill Gates and the Chinese as the gold standard in detecting infections is an outrageous fraud.  The PCR test set at 45 cycles was set to show 100% false positives as Corona cases.  These false tests were the basis for a public health concern that shut down economies worldwide.  The acronym for Public Health Emergency of International Concern is PHEIC, pronounced FAKE.

Reiner Fuellmich goes on to explain that this PHEIC was needed by the global alliance of pharmaceutical and tech industries in order to achieve the goal of so-called “vaccinations.”  This was their true stated intention from the beginning.  The entire distancing, masking and lockdowns were illusionary in order to insure panic for their psychological operations. Fuellmich states that despite the lies of the globalists and the difficulty in reporting to the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS), it is estimated that 500,000 Americans have already died of the Covid jabs…and more are coming their way.

Targeting the Standalones

The Chinese and Russians are not giving their own people these inoculations.    Our military has been forced into these jabs and as of a month ago, only 20 died in all of 2020 from C-19, but now 80 have heart problems from the jab.  Wonder why? To weaken us for a takeover.

A phenomenon called “othering” is used in propaganda and brainwashing. Othering is when a person determines that another person is unworthy, threatening, or all-around inadequate and hardly even the same species.  This is what is now happening throughout America and the world regarding those of us who choose not to accept the party line that the jabs are good for all humanity.  Many Americans have seen the deaths and adverse effects of the clot shot and believe the needle rape is another Zyklon B toxicant to destroy not only the elderly, but a large majority of the world’s population.

Juliette Kayyem writes in the regressive Atlantic that only vaccinated people should be allowed on domestic flights.  Yeah…spread the enhanced virus all over the place, the un-jabbed don’t want anything to do with the jabbed!  Last September’s Atlantic Festival featured top speakers Fauci, Hillary and Staci Abrams.

Don Lemon says the un-jabbed should not be able to go to the grocery.  He’s spewing his invectives to a nation who believes it’s fine to starve people to death when they refuse a dangerous medical experiment. They believe in medical and personal privacy.  Maxine Waters taught her fellow comrades that it’s okay to get in people’s faces, to scream at them, to disrupt their dining, to make their public lives miserable.  Common decency and courtesy are verboten in today’s society.

Andy Slavitt, a former medical advisor for President Biden, believes that anyone unvaccinated should be required to be tested daily at their own expense until they finally give in.

Democrats believe Medicare (despite the fact you’ve paid into it all your life), Medicaid and health insurance should be denied to the un-jabbed.

Others want to add employment, suspension of gun and driving licenses, access to loans. Sporting events, dining out, and concerts should also require proof of vaccine. It will not be popular, but it is the only way to get people vaccinated.

Others want the un-jabbed to have all health care suspended.

Candidate Steve Cox, an independent running to represent California’s 39th Congressional District said, “We should be allowed to shoot anyone who doesn’t take COVID seriously enough.”  Leftists like Cox are common in today’s media rhetoric.

Conclusion

This is the America we’re living in today. It’s reminiscent of history that today’s children have no knowledge of, and they’ll murder billions of us and use the excuse that the un-inoculated did it when we know the perpetrators are the satanic entities that hate life, liberty and freedom.

Biden’s Afghanistan Catastrophe Increases Terror Threat in U.S.

Biden administration, meanwhile, focuses solely on “domestic extremists”.

The twentieth anniversary of the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 is just a few weeks away.

The first step in solving a problem is to acknowledge that there is a problem.

The good news is that the Biden administration acknowledges that America faces an increased threat of terrorism, especially as the 20th anniversary of the terror attacks of 9/11 by al-Qaida approaches.

The bad news, even as the Taliban has now taken back all of Afghanistan because of the Biden administration’s abysmally failed policies, the Biden administration, incredibly, is entirely focused on the threats posed by domestic terrorists and extremists.

Biden utterly ignores the failures of the immigration system that continue to undermine national security and public safety in this especially dangerous era.

On August 13, 2021 the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a press release titled, DHS Issues New National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) Bulletin.

The focus of the press release, and as you will see, the NTAS Bulletin was Domestic Terrorism without a single reference to possible entry of foreign terrorists into the United States even as it addressed the elevated threats posed by various terror groups as the 20th anniversary of the terror attacks of 9/11 is nearly upon us.

In fact, the above-noted press release included this excerpt:

Under the Biden-Harris Administration, DHS has increased the development, production, and dissemination of intelligence and other actionable information central to countering threats in the current environment.  DHS has established a new, dedicated domestic terrorism branch within the Department’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A).  Further, DHS has established the Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3) to help build local prevention frameworks to provide communities with the tools they need to counter terrorism and other targeted violence.

In February, Secretary Mayorkas designated combating domestic violent extremism as a National Priority Area for the first time in FEMA grant programs. As a result, state, local, tribal, and territorial governments are required to spend at least 7.5 percent, or a minimum of $77 million, of their DHS grant awards toward combating this threat.

These initiatives are taken in concert with the Biden-Harris Administration’s National Domestic Terrorism Strategy which highlights the whole-of-government approach being take to enhance the analysis and distribution of actionable intelligence to stakeholders; prevent domestic terrorism recruitment and the mobilization to violence; disrupt and deter domestic terrorism activity; and confront long-term contributors to domestic terrorism.

The National Terrorism Advisory Bulletin referred to above begins with this summary:

Summary of Terrorism Threat to the U.S. Homeland

The Secretary of Homeland Security has issued a new National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) Bulletin regarding the current heightened threat environment across the United States.  The Homeland continues to face a diverse and challenging threat environment leading up to and following the 20th Anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks as well religious holidays we assess could serve as a catalyst for acts of targeted violence. These threats include those posed by domestic terrorists, individuals and groups engaged in grievance-based violence, and those inspired or motivated by foreign terrorists and other malign foreign influences. These actors are increasingly exploiting online forums to influence and spread violent extremist narratives and promote violent activity. Such threats are also exacerbated by impacts of the ongoing global pandemic, including grievances over public health safety measures and perceived government restrictions.

This bulletin articulated concerns about domestic extremists and their numerous possible motivations.  When the bulletin did mention foreign terrorist organizations, the concern was limited as to how those terror groups could motivate domestic terrorists,  presumably Americans, via the internet.

Consider these two excerpts:

Additionally, leading up to the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Al-Qa’ida in the Arabian Peninsula recently released its first English-language copy of Inspire magazine in over four years, which demonstrates that foreign terrorist organizations continue efforts to inspire U.S.-based individuals susceptible to violent extremist influences.

Foreign and domestic threat actors, to include foreign intelligence services, international terrorist groups and domestic violent extremists, continue to introduce, amplify, and disseminate narratives online that promote violence, and have called for violence against elected officials, political representatives, government facilities, law enforcement, religious communities or commercial facilities, and perceived ideologically-opposed individuals. There are also continued, non-specific calls for violence on multiple online platforms associated with DVE ideologies or conspiracy theories on perceived election fraud and alleged reinstatement, and responses to anticipated restrictions relating to the increasing COVID cases.

There was not a single word in the two DHS documents cited above, about concerns that foreign terrorists would seek to enter the United States to carry out terror attacks even as the Taliban was rampaging across Afghanistan, the country that provided safe havens for al-Qaida and other terror organizations before the attacks of 9/11 which prompted American military action in that country to help prevent future terror attacks against the United States.

Now even the Mainstream Media is alarmed over the loss of Afghanistan to the Taliban as  direct result of the abrupt way that the Biden administration essentially turned tail and fled from that dangerous country, even leaving the U.S. Embassy staff in harm’s way, ordering them to “Shelter in place” as the Taliban captured city after city, including Kabul.

On August 15, 2021 Newsweek reported, Clip of Biden Saying People Won’t Be Lifted Off Embassy Roof in Afghanistan Resurfaces as Just That Happens while on that very same day AOL posted the Associated Press report, Concerns over U.S. terror threats rising as Taliban hold grows.

The first paragraph of the preface of the official report, 9/11 and  Terrorist Travel – Staff Report of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States” states

It is perhaps obvious to state that terrorists cannot plan and carry out attacks in the United States if they are unable to enter the country. Yet prior to September 11, while there were efforts to enhance border security, no agency of the U.S. government thought of border security as a tool in the counterterrorism arsenal. Indeed, even after 19 hijackers demonstrated the relative ease of obtaining a U.S. visa and gaining admission into the United States, border security still is not considered a cornerstone of national security policy. We believe, for reasons we discuss in the following pages, that it must be made one.

Page 47 contained this excerpt:

Once terrorists had entered the United States, their next challenge was to find a way to remain here. Their primary method was immigration fraud. For example, Yousef and Ajaj concocted bogus political asylum stories when they arrived in the United States. Mahmoud Abouhalima, involved in both the World Trade Center and landmarks plots, received temporary residence under the Seasonal Agricultural Workers (SAW) program, after falsely claiming that he picked beans in Florida.” Mohammed Salameh, who rented the truck used in the bombing, overstayed his tourist visa. He then applied for permanent residency under the agricultural workers program, but was rejected. Eyad Mahmoud Ismail, who drove the van containing the bomb, took English-language classes at Wichita State University in Kansas on a student visa; after he dropped out, he remained in the United States out of status.

Page 61 contained this passage:

Exploring the Link between Human Smugglers and Terrorists

In July 2001, the CIA warned of a possible link between human smugglers and terrorist groups, including Hamas, Hezbollah, and Egyptian Islamic Jihad.   Indeed, there is evidence to suggest that since 1999 human smugglers have facilitated the travel of terrorists associated with more than a dozen extremist groups.  With their global reach and connections to fraudulent document vendors and corrupt government officials, human smugglers clearly have the “credentials” necessary to aid terrorist travel.

The only conclusion I can come to is that inasmuch as the Biden administration is determined to ramp up the “Immigration Delivery System” as I have come to refer to the administration’s malfeasant immigration policies, there can be no acknowledgment that terror attacks from foreign terror organizations depends on multiple failures of the immigration system.

One of my earlier articles, Jihad At The Border, explained how the border crisis facilitates the entry of terrorists.

Given all of the foregoing facts I have provided today, my earlier article was all too prescient:  Biden Ends War On Radical Islamist Terrorists ‘Over Here’ and ‘Over There’.

VIDEO: The ‘Progressive’ Squad Remains Silent on Women And Girls Being Persecuted in Afghanistan

This past May, the anti-Semitic Squad vilified and defamed Israel for defending itself against Hamas. They falsely accused Israel of targeting Palestinian civilians including children. However, as women and girls are being murdered, raped, and subjugated by the Taliban in Afghanistan, the Squad is predictably silent. Shame on the mainstream media for not exposing this blatant hypocrisy and anti-Semitism. Watch below.

Deafening Progressive Silence Exposes Reality

By Times of Israel, August 17, 2021

In a day and age where every social cause stirs intense emotion, it is quite curious that Afghanistan fails to rally the people to action. Representative Omar is known for dabbling in anti-Semitic tropes, warning people about the dangers of Israel and the influence of Jewish money. Representative Rashida Tlaib frequently makes hysterical, grandstanding speeches condemning Israel as being ‘racist’, wrenching her garments in the name of Palestine. And how can we forget Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who has become a pop sensation over her antics and her unwavering support for her fellow ‘Squad’ members? And yet as Afghanistan falls to an utterly monstrous regime, these perpetual bleeding hearts remain silent. Why?

Many Progressives bend over backwards to try to shield these politicians from justified criticism. They scream sexism, Islamophobia, or racism as a means of deflecting attention away from their bombastic statements. We are told that we read too much into their bile, that they only care about humanity, and that we should focus on the issues. They uphold the Palestinian cause as a singular human rights catastrophe unparalleled in the world today. But these politicians and their ilk are quite selective in their umbrage, and their silence on what is happening in Afghanistan exposes them for the hypocrites they are. When these members of Congress lambast and slander Israel up and down the aisles in perpetuity, claiming to stand for dignity and humanity, they sit back silently as the people of Afghanistan fall into the clutches of a terrorist regime.

How many times have Representatives Omar and Tlaib howled against Israel? How many times have venomous slander flowed from their lips? How many times have their supporters rallied in the streets to condemn Israel? While all this happens, we are told that they only care about justice. We are told that they aren’t anti-Semitic or anti-Israel, just pro-human rights. The silence of these politicians and their apologists show that this talking point is an utter lie. They do not care about human rights, for if they did they would be horrified by what is happening in Afghanistan. They do not care about the rights and dignity of Muslims, for if they did they’d fight against the looming catastrophe that is falling upon the Afghan nation. Just as they ignore the plight of the Uyghurs in Chinese ‘re-education camps’, so too they now ignore the people of Afghanistan. Why? Because they don’t truly care about dignity, liberty, or justice. If they did they would equally care about the Muslims in Afghanistan and East Turkistan. No, their obsessive singular focus on the Palestine issue and their ignoring of far worse calamites show that they simply care about bashing Israel and condemning the only Jewish State in the world.

The next time Representatives Omar, Tlaib or Ocasio-Cortez take to the podium to indulge their sycophants with their childish tantrums, the sensible among us must turn the other way and tune them out. They are useful mouthpieces for anti-Semites and Israel haters, nothing more. Those that care about human rights should not listen to these demagogues, for their hypocrisy is now laid bare.

As Afghanistan falls, so too the masks of these false Progressive prophets.

‘Calamity of Epic Proportions’: Congress Needs Probe of Biden’s Mishandling of Afghan Withdrawal

The Democrat insurrectionists are too busy secretly torturing Americans who stood for election integrity on January 6th.

‘Calamity of Epic Proportions’ – Congress Needs Probe of Biden’s Mishandling of Afghan Withdrawal

Analysis – As President Biden’s ‘Saigon on Steroids’ crisis continues to unfold in Kabul, Afghanistan, one lawmaker is demanding a probe into Biden’s mishandling of the entire disaster, calling it a ‘calamity of epic proportions.

Rep. Peter Meijer (R-Mich.), who serves on the House Committees on Homeland Security and Foreign Affairs, told the Washington Post’s ‘Power Up’ on Sunday that Team Biden’s Afghan withdrawal planning should be the subject of congressional hearings.

Meijer also strongly questioned the administration’s intelligence reports.

According to ‘Power Up,’ Meijer, who also worked in Afghanistan as a conflict analyst, said:

I think the underestimation of how long the Afghan government would hold is an intelligence failure on the level of [GW Bush’s] Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction and [Obama] downplaying the rise of ISIS.

Beyond congressional hearings, we need to strongly look at Congress’s dependence on analytic products coming out of the executive branch. There were obviously dissenting voices and those were communicated on a one-off basis, but the reality when it comes to classified information and intelligence members of Congress have to beg for crumbs and then are overly reliant on the executive branch to provide assessments.

Meijer added: “Those assessments, as we saw here and with ISIS and weapons of mass destruction, are colored by political expediency.”

Referring to the chaotic emergency evacuation of thousands of Americans and Afghan allies, Meijer said: “This is a calamity of epic proportions — this is not something you can spin away.”  ADN

How Joe Biden failed the people of Afghanistan — and tarnished U.S. credibility around the world

In April 1961, just months after the young John F. Kennedy was inaugurated as the 35th president of the United States, his reputation for expertise in foreign policy took a battering as a result of the Bay of Pigs fiasco, a covert action against the Cuban government that collapsed within a matter of days.

The collapse in Afghanistan that has flowed from current President Joe Biden’s decision to proceed with a complete US troop withdrawal is more than likely to be seen as his own Bay of Pigs moment.

But it may be something worse, akin to the Suez crisis of 1956, which not only humiliated the British government of Sir Anthony Eden, but marked the end of the United Kingdom as a global power.

When historians look back at the shambolic US exit from Afghanistan, it may increasingly appear a critical marker of America’s decline in the world, far eclipsing the flight from Saigon in 1975.

The path to disaster

How did this come to pass? Afghans, turning on themselves, are already pinning the blame on now-departed President Ashraf Ghani, and Biden’s defenders are sure to join the chorus. Yet this is an oversimplification of how things unravelled.

Ghani’s domineering style, poor personnel choices, and reluctance to delegate power to others all played significant roles in the current crisis.

However, the institutional and political problems that were festering long before Ghani became president are perhaps more to blame: a seriously overcentralised state; a presidential system that placed far too much formal power in Kabul; and the development of “neopatrimonial” politics, based on patronage networks that had flourished under former President Hamid Karzai, which in turn fostered electoral fraud.

An even more significant role was played by Pakistan, the Taliban’s longstanding patron and supplier of sanctuaries, logistical support, and equipment.

But the (unintentional) green light for Pakistan’s “creeping invasion” of Afghanistan, with the Taliban as its proxy, ultimately came from Washington.

First, there was the catastrophic exit agreement signed with the Taliban on behalf of the Trump administration by the US special envoy to Afghanistan, Zalmay Khalilzad, in February 2020. The flaws of this deal were immediately obvious. Following that was Biden’s conscious choice to adhere to it.

Biden has since sought to emphasise that he inherited the agreement from Trump, but it was his decision to stick with it, and to retain its architect, Khalilzad, as his own representative. Appalling US decision-making lies at the heart of the tragedy.

What lies behind Biden’s failures?

What factors might explain Biden’s gross misjudgement? At this point, several come to mind.

A first factor, universally overlooked, is his lack of relevant experience in dealing hands-on with complex and dangerous foreign policy challenges.

Until becoming president in January 2021, Biden had never held an office with distinct executive authority. He was a longtime legislator and then vice president, and he was a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for 12 years, including several years as chairman.

But he never occupied a position where he was routinely required to make final decisions on matters of high policy with significant associated risks.

Having an interest in world affairs is not the same thing as having strong judgement or a talent for developing and implementing foreign policy. Robert Gates, a former defence secretary in both Republican and Democrat administrations, argued in his 2014 memoir that Biden had been “wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades”.

Some reports suggest Biden’s decision to follow Trump’s path was driven more by instinct and longstanding beliefs than by a methodical, cerebral appraisal of the dangers.

Biden may also have been influenced by a deep, almost visceral, suspicion of the advice of the US military, going back to his failed attempts while vice president to argue against the “surge” of US troops in Afghanistan, which President Barack Obama ultimately decided to do.

A second factor at play is likely US domestic politics. Biden and his supporters have quoted polling in support of a complete US troop withdrawal, but it is unlikely this was much of a contributor to the final decision, as Afghanistan has never generated anything like the heat in US politics that was associated with the Vietnam War.

A more likely contributor was the internal politics of the Democratic Party. Biden had endured considerable criticism from the left over his ardent support for the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Supporting an Afghanistan troop withdrawal had the potential to ameliorate some of those concerns, and to appeal to the party’s progressive wing and ideological isolationists.

How the U.S.-Taliban deal eroded confidence

The US decision also reflected a grave misunderstanding of power dynamics in Afghanistan.

As I have previously noted, mass psychology is a critical determinant of political trajectories in an environment as threatening and de-institutionalised as that in Afghanistan.

As in an avalanche, a small shift can rapidly snowball, resulting in what social scientists call “cascades”.

The collapse of the Afghan government provides a perfect example of a cascade at work. The 2020 US-Taliban deal created deep and widespread apprehension about what the future might hold. Then, it only took a few localised failures to sap the confidence of all sorts of actors, both military and civilian, in the survival of the government. Side-switching became a rational strategy, then spun out of control.

The US troop withdrawal also seems to have reflected a failure on the part of Biden – although not the US military — to appreciate how destructive the February 2020 agreement had been to the effectiveness of the Afghan military.

In requiring the withdrawal not just of US troops but US maintenance contractors, it compromised the ongoing capabilities of key assets in the inventory of the Afghan National Army, as well as depriving the army of critical air cover. As an insightful analysis put it:

in the wake of President Biden’s withdrawal decision, the US pulled its air support, intelligence and contractors servicing Afghanistan’s planes and helicopters. That meant the Afghan military simply couldn’t operate anymore.

The long-lasting damage to US credibility

It is hard to see how Biden can emerge from this disaster without his credibility shredded, but the greater loss is to the credibility of the United States, which increasingly appears a fading power internationally (as well as a failing state at home).

For no great gain, it sold out the most pro-western government and public in the region to a brutal terrorist group, all this after having long promised the Afghans that they would never be abandoned.

The implications of this abandonment stretch far beyond Afghanistan’s borders. As a group of eminent retired ambassadors has put it,

an ignominious American departure from the country would send a terrible signal to other countries as the United States competes with China and other authoritarian states. If US security guarantees are not credible, why not cut deals with China?

In May 1940, in a scathing indictment of the failures of the Chamberlain government to stand effectively by its allies, former British Prime Minister David Lloyd George observed cuttingly that “our promissory notes are now rubbish on the market”.

As a result of its failures over Afghanistan, the Biden administration is rapidly heading in a similar direction. The Conversation

Cuomo Is Guilty Of The Subprime Mortgage Crisis Too

The former governor should have been forced out of public life long ago.

A friend of mine once said in a WhatsApp group chat that former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo could be the Democratic candidate in 2024.

The thought made me shudder, and that was before his state requirement that forced nursing homes to take back residents who had been hospitalized with Covid-19 once they recovered. That move led New York’s attorney general to accuse Cuomo of undercounting nursing home deaths by several thousand, and possibly increased infections and deaths. It was also before he was recently accused of sexually harassing multiple women who worked for him, which led to his resignation Tuesday, August 10.

So, if it was not for the thought of those incidents that I shuddered, then what was it? It was Cuomo’s role in the subprime mortgage crisis, which he still has not been held fully accountable for. That malfeasance merits revisiting as the 13-year anniversary of the collapse of Lehman Brothers fast approaches.

Politics is, apparently, a vocation where it does not matter if you were a complete failure in a previous role—the chances of getting promoted are still high. Cuomo’s part in the worst financial disaster since 1929 proves that.&Of course, Cuomo’s contribution does not excuse the other culprits in the 2008 recession, such as Alan Greenspan and his loose monetary policy, former Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank, who blocked the Bush administration’s efforts to reform mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, or President Bill Clinton. But Cuomo’s role in this event must be explored because it shows that he should never have been allowed to become New York’s governor in the first place.

In the late 1990s, Cuomo was appointed Clinton’s secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Under his watch, HUD oversaw the easing of lending standards on Federal Housing Administration home loans, with the maximum size of FHA-approved loans for single-family homes in low-cost areas increasing from $86,317 to $121,296, while minimum down payments fell from 7 percent of the asking price to 3 percent.

At the time, the then housing secretary wanted to reduce redlining, a term describing home-lending practices that discriminate against ethnic minorities. Here he is in a YouTube clip admitting that by asking the banks to take on more risky loans, their portfolios were at a greater risk of defaulting. He also bragged that he sued a bank in Texas for redlining.

Susan Wachter, who served as assistant secretary for policy development and research at HUD under Cuomo, told Institutional Investor that easing lending standards was probably not a good idea.

Many of Cuomo’s defenders, such as Richard Bamberger, his spokesman when the then housing secretary was New York’s attorney general, suggested he made HUD “a revitalized engine for economic development.” But try telling that to a family that lost their home because of the Clinton administration’s fluffy thinking that regardless of their income, anyone can become a homeowner.

Even Dean Baker, founder of the Center for Economic Policy and Research, who believes that Fannie and Freddie’s role in the subprime mortgage fiasco is negligible, criticized Cuomo in 2010 for failing to require that mortgage lenders disclose the terms of the mortgages the government-sponsored entities (GSEs) were underwriting.

But Cuomo’s responsibility for America’s mortgage meltdown goes much further than that. Village Voice journalist Wayne Barrett has outlined how Cuomo forced Fannie and Freddie to significantly increase the number of “affordable,” low-to-moderate income loans that the two GSEs would have to buy. Fannie andnbsnumber of “affordable,” low-to-moderate income loans that the two GSEs would have to buy. Fannie and Freddie don’t sell mortgages to borrowers. They buy them from banks and mortgage companies, allowing lenders to replenish their capital and make more loans. They also purchase mortgage-backed securities, which are pools of mortgages frequently acquired by the GSEs from investment firms. The government enabled these banks to add money into the mortgage market and create a strong enough profit to entice shareholders.

Ever since 1992, the law forced HUD’s secretary to set housing goals and ensure that objectives were being achieved. Unlike his predecessor, Henry Cisneros, who pushed Fannie and Freddie toward a requirement that 42 percent of their mortgages serve low- and moderate-income families, Cuomo raised that number to 50 percent and instantly hiked GSE mandates to buy mortgages in underserved neighborhoods. This policy was deemed risky by many at the time, including Franklin Raines, the Fannie chairman and first black CEO of a Fortune 500 company. However, Timothy Howard, Fannie’s chief financial officer, disagreed with his boss. Even the New York Times wrote an article in 1999 warning about the dangerous implications of the Clinton administration’s tinkering with the GSEs.

Although Cuomo went on to deny his role in the 2008 recession during his first campaign to become New York’s governor, his own report on Fannie and Freddie’s new goals in 2000 highlighted how GSE presence in the subprime market could be of “significant benefit” to minorities. By the time the Bush administration expected the GSEs to purchase 56 percent of subprime mortgages in 2004, HUD reported that Fannie had gone from $1.2 billion in subprime security purchases in 2000 to $15 billion in 2002. In 2003 alone, both GSEs bought $81 billion in subprime securities.

As Paul Sperry argued in a Fox News column, it is a pity that the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, led by Democrat Phil Angelides, which held 19 hearings in its 15 month, $10 million investigations, never interrogated Cuomo. Instead, they were quick to pin the blame entirely on Wall Street and deregulation. HUD bullied Countrywide Financial and hundreds of mortgage lenders into signing so-called Fair Lending Master Agreements targeting minorities with subprime loans. It is no wonder the banks thought they could get away with dangerous subprime lending and the government would bail them out.

Sadly, Cuomo may never admit his role in devastating the world economy before the housing bubble burst in 2007 and 2008. His policies devastated the lives of millions of families who lost their homes back then, and when he was New York’s governor, he wrecked people’s lives again with his lockdown policies. Though he sued many big banks as New York’s attorney general during the 2000s, he seems to have failed to realize that, ironically, he was suing them for the lending practices that he encouraged in the late 1990s.

Today Cuomo has many things to feel guilty for, but one day he should admit that the subprime fiasco is one of them. One thing is for sure, though—his track record as Clinton’s HUD secretary and as New York governor proves he was a disastrous politician, and he should have resigned far sooner.

Running Away From a ‘Nation-Building’ Mess

Where America got Afghanistan wrong is “nation-building.” That’s a myth. Nations don’t build nations. Nations rebuild themselves. President Joe Biden, predictably, learned the wrong lesson. The opposite of nation-building is not running away. It is being realistic.

After World War II, Japan rebuilt Japan. West Germany rebuilt West Germany. Sure, America helped, but you can’t help a people that aren’t willing or able to help themselves. These countries cleared the rubble and got to it. They also had an advantage. They were not being invaded while they were trying to rebuild. Not so Afghanistan.

Who can argue with the decision to oust the Taliban, the bastards that hosted the evildoers responsible for 9/11?

But after that we entered into a long period of trial and error—mostly error.

Afghanistan could never be rebuilt like Germany or Japan as long as the Taliban could continually cross over from Pakistan and threaten a comeback. There were few good options. President George W. Bush wanted to surge and seal the border. He left office before trying. President Barack Obama came in and made a half-hearted effort so he wouldn’t look weak. His heart wasn’t in it. He gave the military half the time and half the troops it needed.

Obama would have preferred to walk away like he did with other problems like Iraq, Syria, and Libya. But with ISIS overrunning Iraq and Benghazi, he couldn’t afford to just pull the rug and see what happened. He happily handed the mess off to President Donald Trump.

Trump recognized nation-building in Afghanistan was nonsense. He also accepted the U.S. had important interests. We didn’t want the country to turn into a terrorist Disneyland again that might attack us. Nor did we want the troubles of Afghanistan to destabilize South Asia. Nor did we want to look like a loser to the Taliban. These would just create another set of serious problems.

Trump scoped forces down to the minimum to deter the Taliban and protect U.S. interests and started outcome-based negotiations with the Taliban, where our next steps would be based on it fulfilling its promises. Troop numbers were minimal.

We should have kept it this way—a small peacekeeping contingent to back up diplomacy.

Biden evidently forgot the failures of foreign policy under Obama and immediately went back to the old playbook of walking away and seeing what happens. He probably suspected Afghanistan would collapse, as the military warned him. No doubt he thought the Taliban would wait until the U.S. was gone. Of course, it didn’t.

Why would it pass up the opportunity to humiliate America?

A Tragic Half Century Without Gold Money

In 2012 a poll taken by the University of Chicago’s Booth School of three dozen academic economists from eight prestigious universities revealed that they all despised the gold standard; they rejected it not so much for its track record but as a possible monetary system for current times. Professors from Chicago (8), Stanford (6), Yale (5), Harvard (5), Berkeley (5), MIT (4), Princeton (4), and Columbia (1) spoke with one voice and not a scintilla of intellectual diversity.

Surely then they must know something I don’t know, me being a serious scholar and proponent of the gold standard. Alas, it isn’t so. Their view is a product of their time, not of monetary science.

Had similar academics been polled a century ago they would have extolled the gold standard; they would have expressed deep regret at having just witnessed the political sabotage of the well-functioning, well-respected classical gold standard (1870-1913) during WWI (1914-1918); they would have warned against a resort to watered-down versions of the gold standard; they would have opposed arbitrary fiat-money regimes. How do I know this? Because I’ve read most of the books, articles, and speeches of the major monetary economists of that golden period.

Unlike foes of the gold standard today, the fans of it a century ago had facts and logic on their side; but also, nothing material has transpired since 1921 to make the case for a golden monetary system any less valid. Indeed, the current unanchored “system” of monetary nationalism, with its dozens of floating, sinking, and gyrating currencies both defies logic and deranges economies. This is what today’s “prestigious” foes of gold implicitly condone: the subjective, the arbitrary.

Today the case for a gold-based monetary system is dismissed out of hand, in parrot-like unison, as unprofessional, as mere quackery; a century ago, opposition to gold-based monetary systems likewise was ridiculed as the amateurish rants of cranks. A crucial phenomenon this reveals is that economics–at least “establishment” (i.e., conventional, acceptable) economics–is logically downstream from politics, just as politics (I would argue) is downstream from culture and morals. For good or ill, politicians and bureaucrats get the monetary system that they (and voters) want.

If the philosophy of a previously free nation changes for the worse–i.e., toward authoritarianism–such that voters demand that government exert free reign in money and public finance, with unlimited scope for fiscal profligacy, any type of gold standard will have to relent. This traditional bulwark of monetary integrity and solidity will be countered, coopted, and crushed. The gold standard wasn’t suspended in 1933-34 because it caused the Great Depression or the wave of bank failures, nor did it disappear in 1971 because it somehow “didn’t work” anymore. It’s been gone since 1971 because fiscal alchemists in charge of profligate states couldn’t make it work like magic, meaning: they couldn’t expand the gold supply as much as they expanded government.

Fifty years without a gold-based monetary system is not only unprecedented in human history but unfriendly to economic prosperity. When President Nixon jettisoned the Bretton Woods gold exchange standard on August 15, 1971, many folks thought it was a temporary measure; not coincidentally, it came with wage and price controls. But the balkanized, nationalistic non-system that followed 1971 has persisted. The terrible legacy of this fundamentally arbitrary system—one endorsed by Marxists, Keynesians, and Monetarists alike—is a sustained erosion of sound finance.

Most economists who examine the gold standard (a dwindling lot of us, to be sure) tend to focus most on its history or mechanics, regardless of the different forms the standard might take and apart from whether economists identify as fans or foes of gold-based money. By reference to such criteria as efficiency and practicality, it is well-established and well-proven that gold-based monetary systems have best facilitated price discovery, profit calculation, private planning, saving and investment, international trade, and—consequently—economic prosperity.

Importantly, efficient, practical success was most evident during the decades of the classical gold-coin standard (1870-1913), but less so when government hoarded and debased gold under the gold-bullion standard (1914-1948), and even less so under the gold-exchange standard (Bretton Woods, 1948-1971), when the U.S. dollar alone was directly redeemable in gold (for foreign central banks) then further debased. A close study of these distinct versions of the gold standard shows that they tracked closely the prevailing size, scope, and power of the U.S. government.

A minimalist, more constitutionally limited government prevailed under the classical gold-coin standard; it was four decades of free trade, no income tax, no central bank, no welfare state, and no major wars. Subsequent versions (1914-1948, 1948-1971) were accompanied by massive increases in the welfare-warfare state; gold money suffered amid wars, deep recessions and depressions, systemic bank failures, and mass unemployment. Disingenuous observers (and perpetrators) of these various catastrophes cleverly (and falsely) blamed the gold standard and capitalism, even as each was assaulted, in accord with the wishes of socialists and fascists.

Successively weaker versions of the gold standard over the century of 1870-1971 mirrored successively stronger (i.e., more statist, more invasive) versions of U.S. federal governance. The welfare state has grown enormously, but for electoral reasons, it can’t be sustained by ever-higher taxes; it needs more deficit spending, hence more public debt, hence more debt monetization, hence more fiat money creation. None of that is consistent with a gold standard (of any type).

Statism largely explains why gold-based money was jettisoned and why its restoration won’t come easily (or soon). It’s not the mechanics of gold that bar a clear path to monetary sanity; in fact, it isn’t very difficult to end central banking and reinstate the gold standard. The root problem is that central banks exist not to “fix market failure,” “smooth the business cycle,” or “fight inflation” but to facilitate public profligacy. Thus, central banks will persist so long as fiscal profligacy persists, and the latter will persist–and even intensify–the longer we’re left to work without gold money.

Figure One illustrates how the U.S. dollar was “as good as gold” from the time of the nation’s founding in 1787 (thanks to Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton) until WWI, with the exception of the inflationary “greenback” era during America’s Civil War. In this amazing century-and-a-quarter, inventors, capitalists, and entrepreneurs heroically built America’s agricultural-industrial-financial might. Gold wasn’t an impediment to this fine achievement but an impetus.

As I’ve documented previously, the production of money isn’t the same as the production of wealth, of real goods that enhance living standards. Humans need wealth more than money, and money only to the extent it facilitates the creation of wealth. Which type of money has best promoted real U.S. output in the past century? Gold-based standards (Table One) with 4.9% per annum growth in industrial output during 1921-1948 (a period which includes the Great Depression and the destruction of WWII) and 4.2% per annum even amid the less-solid Bretton Woods gold-exchange standard (1944-1971). U.S. output has grown least since 1971 (a mere +2% per annum), when gold was absent from the monetary system. Slow growth is now the norm. This system is preferred by academic-economic elites today. Are they not the real monetary cranks?

Consider, also, the record of U.S. federal deficit spending since 1921. It’s been most prominent over the past fifty years, the years without the dreaded gold standard. Budget deficits have occurred 94% of the time since 1971. This is now the norm. Do academic elites despise the gold standard because they prefer both slower economic growth and greater public profligacy?

The best that can be done in the near term is to make central banks adopt a gold price rule, an approach I’ve explained and defended elsewhere (“Real and Pseudo Gold Price Rules,” Cato Journal, 2020). But even this requires rulers to follow a rule. In today’s world, where objectivity and the rule of law are in retreat, while authoritarian discretion is on the march, any rule (of any kind) is dismissed by monetary central planners as too rigid, even dangerous. In truth, the planners want to evade accountability; they also tend to prefer more statist government.

Just as economic-monetary systems reflect political systems, for good or ill, so political systems reflect moral-philosophic systems. The philosophic basis of the gold standard includes an individualistic ethic, a widespread love of liberty, robust entrepreneurship, respect for property rights, the maintenance of constitutionally limited government, free trade, and peace. When these features are diluted, disdained, or dismantled, gold-based money necessarily leaves the scene. A once-objective system of real money is displaced by subjective schemes and “virtual” money.

More than a quarter century ago, I wrote that:

Free banking and the gold standard require a context of greater political freedom. All over the world, people have been protesting big government and voting for freer political systems. If the growing resentment of the failures of central planning and the growing respect for free markets grows further, free market money may be possible one day. The factual evidence of its past performance is a matter of public record—it must be taken seriously by monetary reformers. What is needed above anything else is a clear and unequivocal endorsement of the classical liberal philosophy held by America’s Founding Fathers. The prospects for free banking and gold money depend ultimately on the prospects for liberty. (Gold and Liberty, AIER, 1995, p. 122)

Prospects for a gold-based monetary system in our future are as bleak as are prospects for liberty.

CEO Of Fact-Checking Website Snopes Suspended For Lying

The co-founder of the fact-checking website Snopes, David Mikkelson, is a self-proclaimed arbiter of truth. That is, of course, when he’s not reportedly plagiarizing.

A recent BuzzFeed investigation discovered that between 2015 and 2019, the CEO wrote and published at least 54 plagiarized articles containing material from outlets such as The Guardian and the Los Angeles Times. Snopes conducted an internal review confirming the allegations and subsequently suspended Mikkelson from his editorial duties. He remains an officer and 50 percent shareholder of the company.

“Let us be clear: Plagiarism undermines our mission and values, full stop,” Snopes said in a statement. “It has no place in any context within this organization. We invite readers to let us know here if they find any other examples of plagiarized content so that we can apply the same treatment as above.”

Although Snopes will retract the plagiarized works, Mikkelson’s journalistic malpractice is inexcusable. What’s more appalling is that such mass plagiarism occurred on a “fact-checking” site that once worked with Facebook to “curb the spread of misinformation” and openly professes its commitment to the truth.

Mikkelson often deceived readers under a pseudonym he originally created “as a joke intended to mislead the trolls and conspiracy theorists who frequently targeted the site and its writers in the run-up to the 2016 US presidential election,” BuzzFeed reported.

“The results of our internal audit confirmed that I engaged in multiple serious copyright violations of content that Snopes didn’t have rights to use,” Mikkelson said in a statement. “There is no excuse for my serious lapses in judgment. I am sorry. I have given full authority to our managing editor, Doreen Marchionni, to take any measures needed to address these issues.”

This isn’t the first time the website has published dishonest work. In 2019, Snopes questioned the satirical nature of The Babylon Bee, a satirical news website. During the pandemic, Snopes admitted Donald Trump and the American people were incapable of delivering a vaccine. The website was “fact-checking political ideas and American dreams,” said Federalist Senior Editor Chris Bedford.

The website knowingly misled readers for years, issuing fact-checks on opinions, censoring right-wing politicians and ideas, and pushing a clearly biased agenda while professing objectivity. It’s no surprise the site’s CEO is dishonest — but it is ironic.

Army Recruiting Videos: Every American Needs to Watch These!

They have sissyfied our military and with it, this whole country! We are in deep trouble as a nation.

I served for 23-years in the U.S. Army. After watching this video I was speechless. The Russian recruiting video compared to the American video made me sick.

The narrator gets it right when he says, “we’re screwed.”

POLL: Plurality ‘Strongly Disapprove’ of Joe’s Performance

Even before the Afghanistan debacle that arguably marks the low point of President Joe Biden’s tenure thus far, a Trafalgar Group survey released this week found that a plurality of likely voters “strongly disapprove” of job performance thus far.

The survey asked respondents, “How do you think Joe Biden is handling his job as President?” Resp0nses showed Biden earning a slightly negative overall rating, with 46.5% approving and 47.5% disapproving. Six percent expressed no opinion. Among those who disapproved, a plurality, or 41.6%, “strongly” disapproved.

This came in the wake of Real Clear Politics’s average of multiple polls demonstrating that Biden’s approval rating sank to 49% on August 11. Those polls included the Economist/YouGovQuinnipiac, and The Hill/HarrisX.

The surveys come as Biden’s administration threatens to impose new restrictions related to the COVID pandemic, which is unpopular enough. But now that Biden is being blamed by even the mainstream media for the sudden fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban, that job performance disapproval will no doubt sink to a deserved new low.

Reacting to Trump Supporters Swarming the Capitol: Biden Calls Them “Thugs,” “Domestic Terrorists,” and “White Supremacists” and Says That Police Are Racist

On January 7, 2021 — in response to a January 6 incident where several hundred Trump supporters had swarmed into the Capitol building in Washington to protest what they viewed as an illegitimate presidential election outcome — Biden made the following remarks to the nation:

“Yesterday, in my view, was one of the darkest days in the history of our nation…. They weren’t protesters — don’t dare call them protesters. They were a riotous mob of insurrectionists, domestic terrorists…. The past four years, we’ve had a president who’s made his contempt for our democracy, our Constitution, the rule of law clear in everything he has done. He unleashed an all-out assault on our institutions of our democracy from the outset. And yesterday was the culmination of that unrelenting attack.

“He’s attacked the free press who dared to question his power, repeatedly calling the free press ‘the enemy of the people.’ Language at the time he first used it, I and others said, has long been used by autocrats and dictators all over the world to hold on to power …

“He’s attacked our intelligence services, who dared tell the American people the truth about the effort of a foreign power to elect him four years ago, choosing instead to believe the word of Vladimir Putin over the word of those who sworn their allegiance to this nation, many of whom had risked their lives in the service of this nation.

“He deployed the United States military, tear-gassing peaceful protesters in pursuit of a photo opportunity in the service of his reelection, even holding the Bible upside down….

“And then yesterday … Inciting a mob to attack the Capitol, to threaten elected representatives of the people of this nation, and even the vice president, to stop the Congress from ratifying the will of the American people in a just-completed free and fair election….

“No one can tell me that if it had been a group of Black Lives Matter protesting yesterday, they wouldn’t have been treated very, very differently than the mob of thugs that stormed the Capitol. We all know that’s true, and it is unacceptable. Totally unacceptable. The American people saw it in plain view. And I hope it’s sensitized them to what we have to do….

In short, Biden and the Democrats resolved to exploit the events of January 6 at the Capitol to the fullest extent possible.

VIDEO: Illegitimate President – Catastrophic Results – Arizona Audit is the Remedy

Joe Biden is an illegitimate president who is clearly not up for the job and is only a figure-head for the radical Marxist Democrat political leadership. This anti-constitutional cabal is destroying the American way of life and your God-given liberty real time. Team Biden must be put-down using the tools that the Framers of the founding document gave to their progeny. So, how do patriotic Americans dissolve this unholy political take-over of our government?
