Most sons, follow their Dad, that’s what Dad’s are for, to raise up good kids.

That’s my point.

Don’t get all crazy about the Trump thing, but that’s what I’m doing now, so my son would probably be helping me.

Maybe your son would be helping you run your shoe store or fix your car, or help you paint the house, or help you kill as many Jews as possible.

That was Musab Al-Maqsqas’ job, to kill as many Jews as possible.

Musab was not very good at his job.

According to an official HAMAS report, yesterday in a battle with the Israel Defense Forces, Musab was “martyred.”

“Martyred” means he was killed in a gunfight, where his young body was ripped to pieces by machine-gun fire, as Musab tried, ever so hard, to kill as many Jews as he could.

HAMAS, Musab’s family and friends are cheering his death and thanking Allah for giving Muslims a way to heaven, by getting slaughtered at the business end of the IDF’s Tavor assault rifle.

Even Musab is happy!

At least that’s what he tells us in his prewritten Will to his family.

I want you to read the “Will of the martyr Musab Al-Maqsqas,” and tell me on what planet can a “religion” be taken seriously that brainwashes from day one, kids like Musab to believe that God (Allah) wants you to grow up and kill Jews as your main purpose in life?

Now, don’t waste my time by telling me that Musab did not waste his life but he “gloriously ascended into the light on his way to Al Quds and then ultimately to Paradise,” where Musab has earned unlimited sex with many fabulously beautiful virgins and to close the deal, Musab will have an eternal erection.

I gotta admit, to a sexually repressed teenage Muslim boy, that reward is kinda enticing.

Which is EXACTLY the demonic reasoning behind the whole scam of “kill a Jew, win a Virgin!”

Please objectively read Musab’s Will, through his eyes, and you will see a teenager, who is a true believer in Islamic Jihad and totally dedicated to killing Jews as his main purpose in life.

Did you get that?

Musab has been taught by his Mom and Dad, family and friends that killing Jews is the life purpose of those under “occupation,” of the Jews.

Musab was not some “Lone Wolf” or “Radicalized Muslim.”

He is but one of a million young wolves in Gaza and the West Bank, nursed in a land and by a pack of “Institutionalized” Jew Killing, teeth gnashing, Muslim wolves, with his only escape, killing Jews in Jihad.

This kid had no chance to ever help get Trump elected, or help his dad paint the house or go to a soccer game, you know, do the things that normal teenagers do in life.

Musab was raised up to be a killing machine and proudly so, as you can see in his Will.

So, I ask you again, on what planet can a “religion” be taken seriously that brainwashes from day one, kids like Musab to believe that God (Allah) wants you to grow up and kill Jews as your main purpose in life?

Could Musab’s fiery commitment to jihad be related to Islamic doctrinal teachings as detailed in the thirty-page, HAMAS Covenant?

Here are just a few of the HAMAS teachings that Musab followed:

Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it” (The Martyr, Imam Hassan al-Banna, of blessed memory).

“If faith is lost, there is no security and there is no life for him who does not adhere to religion. He who accepts life without religion, has taken annihilation as his companion for life.”

“The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (evidently a certain kind of tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews.” (related by al-Bukhari and Moslem).

I could be mistaken, but when a “religion” teaches its children to kill an entire nation of people, especially “people of the book,” I gotta believe that “religion” exchanged the word of God with the word of Satan and its followers spend eternity not with beautiful virgins but in complete separation from the real God.

Hell.

MUSAB’S WILL

The will of the martyr Musab Al-Maqsqas:

“Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed. [It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him.”

To my family and friends,

Here I have fulfilled my wish and embraced martyrdom in the path of Allah with the determination of fighters. I have departed from this fleeting world, hastening to the eternal and everlasting abode in the gardens of bliss, to meet the chosen one, peace be upon him, with the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs, and the righteous. Know, my family, that I did not leave you out of distress or loneliness, but martyrdom called upon me after I had long wished for it.

Mother, forgive me, the pleasure of the Lord upon me is tied to your pleasure, and my wish will not be fulfilled unless this bond is released. My wish will only be complete with your patience and you considering me as a martyr, a fighter in the path of Allah, raising His word first, and as revenge for the blood of the martyrs of Palestine. Do not cry for me, but ululate, for this is the wedding of your martyred son.

My beloved brothers: forgive me.

Be a support to our mother and grandmother, and be among the patient who seek reward. Stand firm and strengthen one another, and forgive me if I have wronged any of you. Hold fast to the religion of Allah and His firm rope, and continue on this path after me.

My will to you, my family, my friends, and my loved ones, is that no one should cry at my wedding to paradise. Rather, distribute dates and ululate in the wedding of martyrdom. Wrap me in a shroud with the inscription “There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah,” and place on my head a headband with “There is no god but Allah” (Soldier of Allah). I ask you to bury me in the camp, in the cemetery of the martyrs. I insist, by your honor, bury me in the camp and not elsewhere.

In conclusion, I say to you, see you soon, God willing, in a paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the righteous.

Our last prayer is praise to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

The 16 Most Extreme and Exotic Moments of the 2024 Democratic National Convention

The 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC) has closed but, like its candidate’s views on the issues, much has not been reported. Here are 16 of the most significant events not covered by the legacy media.

1. Planned Parenthood Carried Out Eight Abortions and Nine Vasectomies at the 2024 DNC

Like official statistics about the jobs created by the Biden-Harris administration, the number of abortions and vasectomies carried out during the 2024 Democratic National Convention has been revised downward.

Pro-life sources on the ground reported that Planned Parenthood carried out 25 abortions in a mobile unit near Chicago’s United Center during the first two days of the DNC, which nominated Kamala Harris for president and Tim Walz for vice president. Thankfully, abortion officials have subsequently clarified that they dispensed the abortion pill mifepristone to fewer than half that many mothers.

“The 25 you refer to was the approximate number of available patient slots,” the Planned Parenthood Great Rivers, based in St. Louis, told The Washington Times via email Wednesday. “We served [sic] 9 vasectomy and 8 medication [chemical] abortion patients between the two days.” The organization claims it did not commit any surgical abortions on site.

Of course, that’s nine more abortions than took place in conjunction with the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, the Constitution Party convention in Salt Lake City, and the Libertarian Party convention in Washington, D.C., combined.

The 2024 DNC became so abortion-focused that Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) wondered at one point, “Will any abortions be performed on stage?”

2. A U.S. Senator Praised a Riot that Tried to Burn Policemen Alive

Vice President Kamala Harris has attempted to distance herself from her administration’s record by ignoring the last three years (except scattered discussion of her appointees’ sex or ethnicity) and focusing her campaign almost exclusively on her time as California Attorney General — a position she left nearly eight years ago. In her acceptance speech, she asserted (inaccurately) that voters should reject Donald Trump, because he “sent an armed mob to the United States Capitol, where they assaulted law enforcement officers.”

Yet speakers at her own convention praised a crowd that assaulted police and attempted to burn them alive.

“I believe in America, because our fighters fought at Stonewall,” said Senator Cory Booker (D-N.J.) on Wednesday night. He was referring to the Stonewall riots, often considered the birthplace of the so-called Gay Liberation movement (which actually originated in Bethlehem, Pa.). On June 29, 1969, the Stonewall Inn became the site of anti-police violence as thousands of LGBT rioters attempted to burn the seedy, Mafia-run bar to the ground … with six New York City police officers inside. “I wanted to kill those cops,” said rioter John O’Brien.” Then-President Barack Obama, who spoke at the DNC Tuesday night, named the Stonewall Inn a national monument in 2016.

It seems only fitting the party of the 2020 BLM/Antifa riots salutes the Woke anti-police rioters of old, as well.

Speaking of incitement …

3. Al Sharpton Accused Former President Donald Trump of Racial Incitement

Few people embody racial incitement as fully as Al Sharpton, the founder of the National Action Network (NAN). His accusation that President Donald Trump fans “racial flames” must qualify as one of the greatest acts of projection in modern American political history.

Sharpton described Trump as “a fellow New Yorker I’ve known for more than 40 years.” He claimed when Trump took out a full-page ad calling for the execution of whomever brutally raped Central Park jogger Trisha Meili in 1989 that “it was then that I saw Trump love to fan racial flames.”

If Al Sharpton considered Donald Trump a racial arsonist in 1989, he should have told Al Sharpton. Before the last presidential election, Sharpton tweeted a photo of himself and Trump at the 2006 NAN convention holding a pleasant conversation with soul singer James Brown and Jesse Jackson. Trump described Sharpton as “[j]ust a conman at work!”

But it takes more than a con’s shamelessness to accuse others of your sins; as Bill Clinton said at a previous Democratic convention, that “takes a lot of brass.” As this reporter has noted:

“Al Sharpton founded the National Action Network shortly before the racially charged August 1991 Crown Heights riots. Sharpton led crowds in chanting, ‘No justice, no peace’ before rioters claimed the life of rabbinical student Yankel Rosenbaum. Sharpton’s ‘vile rhetoric incited the rioting,’ said Rosenbaum’s brother, Norman. A month earlier, Sharpton challenged New York’s Jewish community, ‘If the Jews want to get it on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house.’ In 1995, Sharpton would lead months-long demonstrations against Jewish ‘white interlopers’ at Freddy’s Fashion Mart, who raised the rent of a black business owner; ultimately, a protester burned the store and killed eight people, including himself.”

This record has earned Sharpton the revulsion of most decent society, as well as appointments to the Biden-Harris administration’s National Parents and Families Engagement Council and a council allegedly dedicated to keeping churches safe.

Sharpton, who was ordained a minister at age nine before becoming a protégé of James Brown, engaged in aggressive rhetoric later in his 2024 DNC speech, promising, “We are going to join with whites and browns and Asians, and we going [sic] to do a job on those that have done a job on us.”

4. Kamala Harris Is ‘Tough as Nails’ on Border Security

As part of the Projection Party’s extreme makeover, Kamala Harris now presents herself not only as a prosecutor but a border hawk. “For 20 years, Kamala Harris has been tough as nails when it comes to securing our border,” stated Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) without proof. “Kamala on the other hand has been fighting border crime for years,” alleged Sheriff Javier Salazar of Bexar County, Texas (D). “She’s taken on gangs trafficking across the border,” insisted former President Bill Clinton.

In hailing Harris, Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-Calif.) praised the Biden-Harris administration’s latest quasi-amnesty, as the president in June promised to allow half a million illegal immigrants married to legal residents to Parole in Place (PIP). “We don’t have to choose between a secure border and building an America for all,” he said. “As president, she will fight for pathways to citizenship.”

In reality, “Biden-Harris-Mayorkas open border policies have facilitated the escalation of human trafficking for both sex and labor in the United States. Modern-day slavery and ultra-violent gangs,” noted Jessica Vaughan of the Center for Immigration Studies. The Office of Inspector General reported that, as of May, ICE had lost track of “more than 291,000” minors who crossed the border during the Biden-Harris administration. Just as the DNC kicked off, officials uncovered a new sex trafficking program of Venezuelans in the United States.

Yet the worst years for illegal immigration before the current administration transpired during years when a president or presidential candidate promised amnesty to illegal immigrants, in 1986 (1,692,544) and its close second in 2001 (1,676,438). The Biden-Harris administration has presided over three record-breaking years of illegal entries at the U.S. southern border:

Fiscal Year 2021 saw a historic 1,734,686 illegal entries at the southern border (not including other means of entry).
FY 2022 (2,378,944)
FY 2023 (2,475,669)

Border Czar Kamala Harris will go down as “one of the most catastrophic failures in American history,” said Rep. Eric Burlison (R-Mo.).

Even some of Harris’s fellow Democrats felt the party had ignored the border. “Clearly, the Democratic Party, my party, is not interested in talking about what matters,” Chicago City Council member Alderman Raymond Lopez (D) told Fox News host Laura Ingraham. “How are you going to keep people safe? How are you going to secure the border? And how are you going to deal with the eight million undocumented individuals that they let in on Kamala Harris’s lead?”

5. Planned Parenthood CEO Tells Democrats, ‘We Will Decide This Election’

As part of the Democratic Party’s most abortion-centric election to date, the leaders of the abortion industry addressed the DNC on Wednesday; one of them declared bluntly, “We will decide this election.”

“We trust Kamala Harris!” exclaimed Planned Parenthood CEO Alexis McGill Johnson during her address at the DNC on Wednesday. Planned Parenthood believes this is a pivotal election for its survival. “Our future is on the ballot,” she declared. “And come November 5, we will decide this election.”

Planned Parenthood Action enthused at her participation, posting on X, “That’s our President and CEO! ?’? #WeDecide.”

PPAct need not have exulted; the DNC indulged the entire abortion apparatus. Earlier in the day, former Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards said abortion makes American women “unstoppable.” EMILY’s List President Jessica Mackler insisted, “In 2022, Democrats didn’t just run on reproductive freedom; we won on reproductive freedom. And in 2024, we are coming back to the polls to finish the job.”

All the abortion leaders agreed Harris was sycophantic on maintaining their murderous source of income. Johnson vouched that Harris “has always and will always” hew to the abortion industry’s party line. “Her record shows it.” EMILY’s List posted on social media. “She’s with us, always.” Reproductive Freedom for All (formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America) — whose CEO, Mini Tammaraju, spoke at the DNC, as well — stated, “We can’t wait to vote for @KamalaHarris and @Tim_walz in November.”

Being in favor of a candidate is not enough: Alexis McGill Johnson bashed the 45th president, falsely stating that “Donald Trump wants women to be less free and pregnancy to be more dangerous.”

She seemed concerned about the industry’s survival. “Our future is on the ballot,” said the Planned Parenthood CEO.

6. School Lockdown Advocates Endorse Kamala Harris

Aside from the abortion industry, the Harris-Walz ticket has the full-throated support of the organization responsible for ruining the lives of the second-largest number of children: those responsible for prolonging school lockdowns, the teachers unions. The leaders of the largest two teachers unions, Becky Pringle of the National Education Association (NEA) and Randi Weingarten of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), addressed the DNC on Thursday.

“Donald Trump and J.D. Vance can’t claim they’re pro-child while gutting funding for public schools. That means that being pro-family means we support access to good union jobs, affordable housing, health care, and higher education,” said Weingarten. Gutting funding for public schools seems less hostile to children than dismemberment abortion, which the Biden-Harris administration has pledged to legalize in all 50 states.

“We are all in” for Harris, declared Weingarten.

7. Dem Rep: We Must March for Abortion for Our Daughters and Granddaughters

Rep. Grace Meng (D-N.Y.) told the convention they must preserve abortion for their children. When it comes to “our reproductive freedom,” Meng told the DNC, “our mothers and grandmothers marched for us. Because of them, my husband and I were able to choose if and when to start a family. … Now, it is our turn to take up the torch for our children and grandchildren.” President Donald Trump, she implied, would be bad for the abortion plans they have for their children and grandchildren. “He will not stop at banning abortion. He will let states track pregnancies. He’ll put birth control and fertility treatment at risk,” she said without proof. “Trump’s plan is cruel. It’s dangerous,” she said, giving a limp thumbs-down sign. “But it is not inevitable.”

In fact, it’s not even his plan.

8. Openly Gay Governor Tore a Book Defining Marriage as the Union of One Man and One Woman

The Democratic National Convention repeatedly turned the nation’s focus to Project 2025, a Heritage Foundation document produced for more than four decades, as though it represents the Republican Party’s platform. While no president has ever implemented the policy-dense guidelines, Donald Trump has actively disparaged it.

Not only did one governor discuss the project, but he tore out a page that defines a family as the union of one man and one woman.

“Tonight, let’s talk about freedom, including our most intimate freedom,” which is “choosing if and when to have children,” said Colorado Governor Jared Polis (D), who is openly gay. He held up an oversized prop book of Project 2025. “Page 451 says the only ‘legitimate’ family is a married mother and father where only the father works. You know what, I’m going to take that one out; I’m going to put it in my pocket so I can share it with undecided voters, so they can better understand what’s at stake this election. Project 2025 would turn the entire federal government and bureaucracy into a giant machine. It would weaponize it to control our reproductive and personal choices.”

The actual page from Project 2025 says nothing about “legitimate” families, stating:

Goal #3: Promoting Stable and Flourishing Married Families.

Families comprised of a married mother, father, and their children are the foundation of a well-ordered nation and healthy society. Unfortunately, family policies and programs under President Biden’s HHS are fraught with agenda items focusing on “LGBTQ+ equity,” subsidizing single-motherhood, disincentivizing work, and penalizing marriage. These policies should be repealed and replaced by policies that support the formation of stable, married, nuclear families.

Working fathers are essential to the well-being and development of their children, but the United States is experiencing a crisis of fatherlessness that is ruining our children’s futures. In the overwhelming number of cases, fathers insulate children from physical and sexual abuse, financial difficulty or poverty, incarceration, teen pregnancy, poor educational outcomes, high school failure, and a host of behavioral and psychological problems. By contrast, homes with non-related “boyfriends” present are among the most dangerous place for a child to be. HHS should prioritize married father engagement in its messaging, health, and welfare policies.

In the context of current and emerging reproductive technologies, HHS policies should never place the desires of adults over the right of children to be raised by the biological fathers and mothers who conceive them. In cases involving biological parents who are found by a court to be unfit because of abuse or neglect, the process of adoption should be speedy, certain, and supported generously by HHS.

Another book also defines marriage exclusively as the union of a man and a woman. Jesus said, “a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh. … What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder” (Matthew 19:1-6).

9. Dem Governor: ‘Democrats Welcome Weird’

The same governor, Jared Polis of Colorado, stated forthrightly, “Democrats welcome weird.” He went on to contrast the Democratic Party’s form of “weird” — which featured transgender delegates and an abortion unit — with “these Project 2025 people like Trump and Vance” who allegedly “aren’t just weird; they’re dangerous.” He referred to Taylor Swift song: “We’re not going back, like ever-ever-ever.”

10. Oprah Calls Kamala’s Marxist Dad ‘Idealistic’

Oprah Winfrey called Harris’s parents “idealistic.” The New Yorker described Harris’s father, Donald J. Harris, as “a renowned Marxist economist” and professor at the University of California at Berkeley. Marxist “idealism” claimed the lives of 100 million people in 100 years — and counting. Americans have gratefully been spared their murderous rampage in this country.

11. Former Republican: Vote for Kamala, because the GOP ‘Is No Longer Conservative’

Despite such a radical convention, former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) made a pitch for Republicans to support the Harris-Walz ticket, because “The Republican Party is no longer conservative.” Apparently, he believes conservatives should instead vote for the candidate promising price controls, open borders, abortion until birth, pornographic books in school libraries, and transgender surgeries for children.

Kinzinger’s former colleagues expressed disappointment with his about-face. “I served with Adam Kinzinger in Congress when we voted for the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act requiring medical care for babies surviving abortions,” replied former Congressman Mark Walker, who served as a Republican from North Carolina. “How sad to now see Adam speaking at the DNC where abortions are available on the street in the back of a truck.”

12. Dem Raised Possibility of Invalidating Donald Trump’s Election?

Rep. Suzan DelBene (D-Wash.) of th Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) touted the benefits of giving Democrats control of the House of Representatives. Americans “don’t want tax cuts for the wealthy, not a national abortion ban,” DelBene said. “And yes, a Democratic House means a Speaker Jeffries will certify the 2024 election.”

That dogwhistle hinted Democrats may not certify a Trump victory. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) said in an online clip that the Supreme Court seemed poised to fail its “very clear duty to disqualify Donald Trump from the ballot, under Section three of the 14th Amendment.”

“And what that might mean, if their decision says that it’s really up to Congress, on January 5th – or January 6th, 2025, to disqualify him at the counting of the Electoral College votes,” he said.

13. Democrats Mispronounce ‘Kamala’

Kamala Harris’s grand-nieces taught the crowd how to pronounce the name properly. They could have instructed Al Sharpton, who mispronounced the nominee’s name earlier in the evening. So did President Bill Clinton on Wednesday, as he dubbed her the “president of joy.”

14. The Democratic National Convention Featured the National Anthem as a Performance Piece?

The band formerly known as the Dixie Chicks (now “The Chicks”) sang the national anthem — a few hours into the proceedings. Typically, the national anthem opens any public meeting. Former President Barack Obama regularly treated the United States like just another nation. Apparently, the Democratic Party treats the national anthem like just another tune.

15. A Country Singer Crooned a Trump-like Anthem

The DNC featured a performance by country singer Mickey Guyton singing, “All American.” Yet the lyrics seem to fit the Trump campaign better than that of Harris. The lyrics state:

“We’re the stars in the Texas sky
And the jukebox vinyl
We’r? the New York City lights
And a hotel Bibl? …

millionaires, spare some change
And everything in between

“We got the same stars, the same stripes
Just wanna live that good life
Ain’t we all?
Ain’t we all all-American?

“We’re different in a million ways
But at the end of the day
Ain’t we all?

Ain’t we all all-American?”

The message seems an inexact fit for the DNC, which began its morning sessions by holding meetings that segregated delegates by race and ethnicity. The lyrics read more like a refrain from one of Donald Trump’s stump speeches:

“There’s one allegiance that unites us all, and that is to America — America; it’s the allegiance to America. No matter our background, or income, or geography, we’re all citizens of this blessed land. And no matter our color or the blood, color of the blood we bleed, it’s the same red blood of great, great patriots — remember great patriots. We all salute with pride the same American flag, and we all are equal, totally equal in the eyes of Almighty God.”

Ultimately, our true unity comes from being children of God.

16. As Democrats Sounded Patriotic Themes, Protesters Burned the American Flag

As Democratic strategists told friendly media outlets the 2024 Democratic National Convention intended to “reclaim” patriotism, protesters representing the Democratic Party’s base burned the American flag and assaulted a man who tried to stop them. Reporter Ben Bergquam attempted to intervene as demonstrators set Old Glory ablaze while chanting, “Free, free Palestine!” only for a masked man wearing a keffiyeh to shove him. He attempted to reason with the mob, saying the flag represents America herself.

“It’s our country!” said Bergquam.

“F*** this country! Burn it down! Burn it down!” shouted a masked protester. As he threw the stars and stripes on the fire, he yelled, “This is what we think of your rag.”

Perhaps it’s not surprising that his assault, on America and the patriotic citizens who tried to defend her, received no coverage from the legacy media, which refused to cover the proceedings taking place inside the convention hall — many of which you likely learned about for the first time in this article.

Poll: Over 70% of Dems and Independents Unaware of Harris’s Controversial Policy Positions

A new poll has revealed that almost three-quarters of registered Democrats and Independents are not aware of numerous intensely controversial policy positions that Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has taken. The news comes as the founder of a Harris super PAC admitted that internal polling is showing a much tighter race between the vice president and Donald Trump than what recent public poll results suggest.

The poll, conducted by the Media Research Center (MRC), surveyed 800 Democrats and 400 Independents who said they voted for Joe Biden in 2020. It found that at least 70% or more were not aware of positions the vice president has taken that are widely considered to be extremely left-wing, including supporting the elimination of private health insurance, abolishing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and decriminalizing crossing the border illegally. In addition, 75% said they did not know Harris was named the most liberal U.S. senator in 2019, and 72% did not know she had “never visited a conflict zone on the border as Border Czar.”

Curtis Houck, managing editor of MRC’s NewsBusters, called the results of the poll “stunning” during Wednesday’s “Washington Watch.” “Of the 10 things that we polled, they were no lower than 71% unaware,” he explained. “Seventy-one percent of her voters are unaware that she has flirted with defunding the police, and thought we should talk about reparations. Seventy-three percent did not know that she’s in favor of the Green New Deal.”

Houck continued, “In 2020, she encouraged supporters to donate to the Minneapolis Bail Fund to release violent criminals who rioted and destroyed those city streets after what happened with George Floyd [78% were unaware of this]. [It] goes all the way up to 86% of her voters did not know that at a CNN town hall, [she stated that] we should have a conversation about death row inmates being allowed to vote. So no matter how you slice it, no matter what issue, whether it’s the economy, the environment, crime, the border, her voters do not know what she believes in, and the fact that they’re still willing to vote for her anyway is a really dangerous commentary on the state of our politics.”

Houck went on to point to another MRC study showing a massive imbalance in the type of coverage the legacy media is giving Harris and Trump in the four weeks since President Joe Biden exited the race.

“[T]he media have given Kamala Harris 84% positive coverage [versus 89% negative coverage of Trump] on ABC, CBS, and NBC, and on the evening shows only twice mentioned her party ideology, mentioned her as a progressive,” he observed. “… There’s always some sort of label affixed to [Republicans], but they haven’t even done that for Kamala Harris. So if they’re not willing to talk about the party label, they’re not going to talk about her policies.”

Meanwhile, Reuters reported on Monday that Harris’s campaign backers are worried over the results of internal polls that do not reflect recent public poll numbers showing Harris opening up a lead over Trump. During an event hosted by the University of Chicago Institute of Politics, Chauncey McLean, president of the Harris super political action committee (PAC) Future Forward, remarked, “Our numbers are much less rosy than what you’re seeing in the public.”

McLean, whose Future Forward PAC has “at least $250 million left to spend” on “a wave of advertising from digital to television,” stated that his group’s analysis has identified Pennsylvania as the most important state for Harris to win, which he anticipated will be a “coin flip.” He also cautioned that the vice president “has yet to fully rebuild the Biden coalition of Blacks, Hispanics and young voters that brought him the White House in 2020.” The race is going to be as “tight as a tick, and pretty much across the board,” he predicted.

Matt Carpenter, director of Family Research Council Action, further underscored that mainstream polling results, particularly within swing states, should be taken with a grain of salt.

“It’s not just McClean who is quietly raising concerns about the state of the Harris-Walz ticket,” he told The Washington Stand. “Former Obama campaign chief strategist David Axelrod also recently said he’s aware of polling which shows the battleground state matchups are far less favorable to the Democratic nominee than many of the big public polling operations are showing, and even suggested if the election were held today that Trump would win. So much of politics is about managing expectations, and if the Harris-Walz campaign is all polling hype, then they aren’t doing themselves any favors in hiding the true state of the race.”

Kamala Harris promised to use the federal government to expand abortion nationwide, because Americans cannot “truly be prosperous” without abortion, and pro-life Americans are “out of their minds,” said Harris while accepting the Democratic presidential nomination Thursday night.

Harris basked in the glow of the audience as she stood at the podium of the United Center in Chicago to deliver an acceptance speech long on personal history but slight on policy specifics, aside from a vow to extend the abortion industry into all 50 states, irrespective of each state’s individual laws.

“When Congress passes a bill to restore reproductive freedom, as president of the United States, I will proudly sign it into law,” candidate Harris vowed.

Jarringly, as Harris made those remarks, the official DNC video feed of the acceptance speech panned out to feature a baby in the crowd.

Although Harris did not name a specific bill, the Biden-Harris administration has endorsed, the so-called “Women’s Health Protection” Act, which goes far beyond the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling by striking down more than 1,300 state pro-life protections including laws:

Prohibiting sex-selective abortions;
Barring many abortions after viability;
Preventing abortions on babies 20 weeks or older, who are capable of feeling pain;
Disallowing abortions undertaken without parental consent or notification;
Prohibiting telemedicine abortion drug prescriptions, which involve no in-person medical examination;
Banning unlicensed individuals from carrying out abortions;
Allowing pregnant mothers to receive scientifically accurate information about their babies’ development, or to see an ultrasound or hear the child’s fetal heartbeat; and
Allowing pro-life medical professionals the right to refuse to participate in an abortion.

A more modest national abortion expansion bill, dubbed the Reproductive Choice Act co-sponsored by Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), would reestablish the guidelines of the Roe and Casey decisions. However, Senate Democrats and the Biden-Harris administration have favored the more sweeping, top-down WHP bill.

The abortion issue emerged as the convention’s defining issue, referred to by one speaker after another. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), an outspoken advocate of national abortion expansion and regulation of pro-life pregnancy resource centers, promised earlier in the evening that Kamala Harris will “take on the right-wing extremists who think they should decide who has access to abortion or IVF. Kamala will protect abortion rights nationwide.” Warren inadvertently put abortion in a separate category from health care, stating that the Democratic Party’s agenda consisted of “groceries, gas, housing, health care, taxes, abortion.” Earlier in the evening, former Rep. Gabrielle Gifford of Arizona, who was shot while in office, said, “Kamala can beat the gun lobby. … She will protect abortion access!”

Harris’s acceptance speech signaled a further break with past candidates such as President Bill Clinton, who spoke on Wednesday night; as candidate, Clinton said abortion should be “safe, legal, and rare.” Harris, who has spent much of the last two years since the Dobbs decision as the White House point person on abortion, extolled abortion as a vital component of American liberty.

“I believe America cannot truly be prosperous unless Americans are fully able to make their own decisions about their own lives,” said Harris moments before invoking “reproductive freedom,” the convention’s preferred euphemism for abortion-on-demand. Her words echoed those of Oprah Winfrey on Thursday night that abortion is part of “the American dream.”

Pro-life advocates pushed back forcefully on the notion. “Not being allowed to kill your child does not equate to slavery,” responded Bryan Kemper, an Ohio-based pro-life advocate.

In office, Harris has seen her administration give the green light for abortionists to mail the abortion pill, mifepristone, to pro-life states in violation of federal law and furnish taxpayer-funded leave to pregnant members of the military who travel out of pro-life states to undergo an abortion.

Moments after promising to allow surgical abortion throughout the country, Harris slammed her political opponents for pro-life positions they never adopted. “We know, and we know what a second Trump term would look like. It’s all laid out in Project 2025,” insisted Harris, although CNN’s fact-checker ranked Democrats’ continual references to the Heritage Foundation project — which President Trump has publicly disdained — false.

Trump “and his allies would limit access to birth control, ban medication abortion, and enact a nationwide abortion ban, with or without Congress,” Harris claimed. “And get this — get this! He plans to create a national anti-abortion coordinator, and force states to report on women’s miscarriages and abortions.”

“Simply put, they are out of their minds,” Harris thundered.

The demur 2024 Republican Party platform does not promise to enact any federal pro-life protection and leaves all new legislation protecting the unborn to the states, a position President Trump has reiterated consistently. His campaign and allies denied Harris’s allegations. “Fact Check: there is no circumstance in which Trump wants to track and monitor miscarriages,” retorted Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah). “President Trump has REPEATEDLY stated he will not sign a federal abortion ban. Kamala is a liar,” said Trump 2024 National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

Yet Harris’s speech indicates efforts to distance the GOP from the pro-life issue have failed, and that the Democrats see abortion as anything but a state issue.

In economic policy, Harris vowed, “We will pass a middle-class tax cut that will benefit more than 100 million Americans.” To date, the Biden-Harris administration has proposed $7 trillion in tax hikes, according to the Republican-controlled House Ways and Means Committee.

She also promised “to create jobs, to grow our economy and to lower the cost of everyday needs like health care and housing and groceries,” as well as to “end America’s housing shortage, and protect Social Security and Medicare.” The Biden-Harris administration presided over near-record inflation levels that peaked at 9.1% in June 2022, increasing the prices of all household staples. “A loaf of bread costs 50% more today than it did before the pandemic,” admitted Harris last Friday. “Ground beef is up almost 50%.” The price of a gallon of gasoline has increased from $2.33 in January 2021 to $3.62. “It costs a family an extra $13,300 per year for the same house compared to January 2021,” reported Kevin Roberts of the Heritage Foundation.

Harris accused President Trump of seeking to enact “a national sales tax, call it a Trump tax, that would raise prices on middle-class families.” She is referring to his statement that he may consider an across-the-board tariff on foreign-made goods.

Like the Democratic campaign before President Joe Biden exited the race, much of the party’s rhetoric aims at demonizing President Donald Trump and placing him beyond the pale as a figure committed to overturning “our democracy.”

“The consequences of putting Donald Trump back in the White House are extremely serious,” Harris insisted on Thursday night. “He sent an armed mob to the U.S. Capitol, where they assaulted law enforcement officers. When politicians in his own party begged him to call off the mob and send help, he did the opposite — he fanned the flames.” In fact, President Trump encouraged marchers to walk to the Capitol “peacefully” and posted a video online asking them to disperse — a video online platforms later suppressed or removed.

“Consider what he intends to do if we give him power again. Consider his explicit intent to set free violent extremists who assaulted those law enforcement officers at the Capitol; his explicit intent to jail journalists, political opponents, and anyone he sees as the enemy; his explicit intent to deploy our active-duty military against our own citizens,” said Harris.

The threat her opponent may lock up journalists rang hollow to investigator David Daleiden of the Center for Medical Progress. Daleiden and Sandra Merritt published undercover videos showing officials at the highest levels of Planned Parenthood describing how they perform a potentially illegal partial birth abortion to harvest and sell aborted babies’ organs to scientific researchers. After pushback from the abortion industry, then-California Attorney General Kamala Harris prosecuted the undercover reporters for filming Planned Parenthood without their express permission—something Daleiden’s lawyer, Harmeet Dhillon, likened to “60 Minutes” investigations.

Daleiden accused Harris of being “‘unburdened by what has been’ in 2016.” Daleiden reminded Harris, “As a citizen journalist, I had my home raided, work product seized at gunpoint, and spent an afternoon behind bars because of your fealty to” Planned Parenthood.

Harris attempted to appeal to moderate and undecided voters, promising to abide by the rule of law. “I know there are people of various political views watching tonight. And I want you to know, I promise to be a president for all Americans. You can always trust me to put country above party and self,” Harris proclaimed.

That echoes a promise repeatedly made at the outset of the Biden-Harris administration, which critics say turned out to be false. “I will work as hard for those who didn’t vote for me as those who did,” Biden promised just one day after the media declared him winner of the 2020 election. Biden made the same promise in his inaugural address.

Once in power, the Biden-Harris administration oversaw the first FBI raid on the home of a former president, prosecuted peaceful pro-life advocates such as Mark Houck, and attempted to recruit informants inside traditional Roman Catholic churches. This administration’s targeting of its political enemies has become so outlandish that the House Judiciary Committee formed a subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government to investigate it on a case-by-case basis.

Harris’s critics, especially her Republican opponent, noted that Harris has attempted to distance herself from her own record over the last three years, and to feign powerlessness as the sitting vice president of the United States.

“Why didn’t she do the things that she’s complaining about?” asked Trump immediately after the speech on Fox News “She could have done it three and a half years ago … and she could still do them. She’s got four-and-a-half, five months left.”

“She didn’t talk about China. She didn’t talk about fracking. She didn’t talk about crime. … She didn’t talk about housing really, the trade deficit. She didn’t talk about child trafficking that she’s allowed to happen, because she’s the Border Czar and she’s presided over the weakest border.”

“She talks, but she doesn’t do. There’s no action.”

Report: Hezbollah Had Planned to Hit Tel Aviv at 5:00 a.m.

The New York Times reported Saturday evening that Hezbollah had planned to hit Tel Aviv with missiles at 5:00 a.m. Sunday morning Israel time, which is why the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a pre-dawn preemptive strike.

The Times’ Ronen Bergman reported:

Israel’s preemptive attack was aimed at missile launchers in Lebanon that had been programmed to be fired at 5 a.m. in the direction of Tel Aviv, according to a Western intelligence official. The official said that all the launchers that were targeted were destroyed and that Israel was anticipating a harsh response from Hezbollah.

As Breitbart News reported, the IDF launched a large preemptive strike early Sunday morning local time, preempting what it said was a major imminent attack by Hezbollah. Israeli authorities urged residents of the northern half of the country, from Tel Aviv northwards, to stay near bomb shelters and safe rooms, and prohibited public gatherings of more than 130 people as a precaution. It said people should feel free to go to work if they were near available shelters.

IDF: Israel Hit ‘Thousands’ of Hezbollah Launchers; Lebanon: One Dead

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Sunday that it had hit “thousands” of Hezbollah rocket launchers in southern Lebanon in a pre-dawn preemptive strike to thwart an attack on Tel Aviv. Lebanon reported one dead in the attack.

In a statement, the IDF said:

Approximately 100 [Israel Air Force] fighter jets, directed by IDF intelligence, struck and destroyed thousands of Hezbollah rocket launcher barrels that were located and embedded in southern Lebanon. Most of these launchers were aimed toward northern Israel and some were aimed toward central Israel. More than 40 launch areas in Lebanon were struck during the strikes.

The Lebanese media reported one dead in the attack, according to the Times of Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement from the “Kirya,” Israel’s military headquarters, in Tel Aviv (translated from Hebrew by the Government Press Office):

This morning we identified Hezbollah preparations to attack Israel. In consensus with the Defense Minister and the IDF Chief-of-Staff, we directed the IDF initiate action to eliminate the threat.

Since then, the IDF has been taking strong action to foil the threats. It has eliminated thousands of rockets that were aimed at northern Israel. It is thwarting many other threats and is taking very strong action – both defensively and offensively.

Citizens of Israel, I request that you adhere to the directives from IDF Home Front Command.

We are determined to do everything to defend our country, to return the residents of the north securely to their homes and to continue upholding a simple rule: Whoever harms us – we will harm them.

According to some reports, Hezbollah had been planning to launch a barrage of thousands of rockets at Tel Aviv. After the Israeli airstrike, Hezbollah launched hundreds of rockets, to little effect. More Hezbollah rockets were expected.

DNC: Jewish Delegates Have to Meet in Hiding

“As the highest-ranking Jewish official in American history, I want my grandkids and all grandkids to never, never face discrimination because of who they are,” Senator Schumer concluded his speech. “But Donald Trump. This is a guy who peddles antisemitic stereotypes.”

Meanwhile Jewish Democrats were literally hiding out at the DNC.

Most Jewish events at the DNC were held at undisclosed locations with organizers having to approve attendees and only then provide them with the secret location shortly beforehand.

Agudath Israel, a traditional religious and not particularly Zionist group, whose members wear black suits and hats, held an open event to discuss the antisemitism faced by Orthodox Jews, only to have masked activists show up and scream that they were going to destroy Israel. No one at the DNC condemned those responsible or held them accountable for their actions. Imagine the reaction if black or Asian attendees were systemically harassed in this way.

“After 50 years fighting antisemitism in America, I could not have imagined a time -Jews would have to meet in secret locations in Chicago at DNC,” former ADL leader Abe Foxman tweeted.

Outside the DNC convention, men in Hamas bandanas flashed victory signs, waved Hamas flags, burned American and Israeli flags, and declared their support for the mass murder of Jews on Oct 7. Inside the DNC convention, President Joe Biden deviated from his prepared teleprompter remarks to declare that, “those protesters out in the street, they have a point.”

When the president says that those who want to kill and harass Jews have a point, is it any wonder that they operate with political impunity and support from the top echelons of the party.

While Schumer was attacking former President Trump, UCLA was appealing a decision by Judge Mark Scarsi, a Trump appointee, who had stepped in after the Democrat administration of UCLA and the Democrat members of the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors had sided with Hamas supporters who had kept Jewish students from being able to attend classes.

“In the year 2024, in the United States of America, in the State of California, in the City of Los Angeles, Jewish students were excluded from portions of the UCLA campus because they refused to denounce their faith. This fact is so unimaginable and so abhorrent to our constitutional guarantee of religious freedom,” Scarsi stated.

It’s unimaginable, abhorrent and wholly accepted by much of Schumer’s base.

If Schumer’s grandchildren from his daughter’s lesbian non-Jewish girlfriend decide they’re Jewish and need to be protected against discrimination, it won’t be his party protecting them.

While Jewish attendees were being hunted at the DNC, Doug Emhoff took to the floor to appeal to Jewish voters by once again recalling memories of his last Jewish experience attending his grandmother’s seder in the seventies, eating brisket and sitting on plastic slipcover cushions.

Emhoff assured attendees that Kamala goes to synagogue and he goes to church with her (with doubtless equal sincerity) and that she has “fought against antisemitism and all forms of hate.” He made no mention of the Hamas supporters calling for the murder of Jews outside, the Jewish DNC delegates hiding inside or a nation of six million Jews fighting for survival.

A nation his wife had repeatedly targeted with ugly rhetoric for trying to stop the terrorists.

Shut up and eat your damned brisket, was the message. Liberal Jews kvelling over Kamala’s brisket did not ask which church Emhoff attends and which temple Kamala visits. Kamala’s pastor is Amos Brown III who took her hand and urged her to do something to stop Israel. According to a Washington Post report, the radical black nationalist clergyman told her that the struggle of the ‘Palestinians’ is “our struggle as people of color who have been oppressed.”

Emhoff doesn’t belong to any particular temple or synagogue, but appears to be associated with IKAR headed by Sharon Brous: a member of the councils of anti-Israel groups like J Street, and the New Israel Fund. Brous has a long history of supporting antisemites, attacking Jews for opposing Rep. Rashida Tlaib and Rep. Ilhan Omar, claiming that Jews “have spent years in hive mentality, pouncing on indications of anti-Semitism among Israel’s critics” and accused the Jewish State of a “52-year military occupation of millions of Palestinian people”.

Kamala’s church and Emhoff’s temple are radical leftist enterprises which both hate Israel.

Vice President Kamala is just the latest in a long line of politicians who send out ‘Court Jews’ to assure the Jewish community that they relate to their cultural values while denying their rights. Kamala conveniently married hers and then sent him out to convince the Jewish community of her fidelity to their most sacred value, not Torah, Judaism or Israel, but a pound of brisket.

And if Kamala can cook a brisket, who really needs a country, safety, self-respect or the ability to attend events at the DNC without being harassed by masked supporters of killing Jews?

Not a single Jewish Democrat stood up to Biden for suggesting that the mobs of Hamas supporters calling for the murder of Jews had “a point.” Nor did they criticize Kamala for her repeated defenses of terrorist protesters. Even the staged moment when DNC delegates called for bringing Jewish hostages home during a speech by the Polin family in imitation of a similar scene at the RNC convention did not change the fact of what was going on behind the cameras.

Rather than committing to an Israeli victory, the Biden administration has spent months pressuring Israel to stop fighting and give in to Hamas demands. Kamala had privately met with Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud who had told a pro-Hamas rally that Dearborn was “the city of resistance”. Gov. Tim Walz was never forced to apologize for his anti-Israel views, Gov Josh Shapiro however was compelled to retract his pro-Israel positions for Kamala’s VP search.

But apparently she cooks almost as good a brisket as the one Emhoff remembers his deceased grandmother making in the days before he abandoned her religion, tradition and values.

When even Jewish delegates at the DNC have to meet in secret, what once appeared to be a subtle choice between nuances of foreign policy in the Middle East has become as graphic as the mobs calling for the murder of Jews inside and outside the convention.

In an echo of Esau, Jews at the DNC had a choice between brisket and their birthright.

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is suspending his 2024 presidential bid and encouraging his supports to vote for former President Donald J. Trump. The scion of the Kennedy political clan made the announcement during a press conference in Arizona. Speculation is rife that Kennedy will join Trump at an event in the state later this evening.

“Sixteen months ago in April 2023, I launched my campaign for President of the United States,” Kennedy said—thanking the hard work of his supporters, volunteers, and campaign staff. He continued, ominously stating: “In the name of ‘saving democracy’ the Democratic party set out to dismantle it.”

“Many months ago, I promised the American people I’d withdraw from the race if I became a spoiler,” Kennedy continued before announcing he was suspending his campaign and would remove his name from the ballot in about ten battleground states, encouraging his supporters to cast their ballots for former President Trump.

Kennedy’s exit and soft endorsement of Trump could benefit the latter in the 2024 presidential race. Election polls show a close race between Trump and Kamala Harris, and Kennedy has consistently polled between three and five points among voters. This significant slice of the electorate could put Trump over the top in November.

This week, speculation that Kennedy would exit the race hit a fever pitch following a series of public statements made by his running mate, Nicole Shanahan. Late Thursday night, the Kenendy campaign submitted paperwork withdrawing RFK Jr.’s name from the Arizona presidential ballot line.

The National Pulse reported earlier on Friday the Hollywood comedian and Kennedy supporter Rob Schneider posted a letter on X (formerly Twitter) claiming that the independent candidate would, in fact, be dropping from the race and backing former President Trump. In his letter, Scheider himself also stated he’d support Trump in November.

Earlier this month, RFK Jr. said the Democrats under Kamala Harris and Joe Biden would be “unrecognizable” to his uncle, President John F. Kennedy, and father, Robert ‘Bobby’ Kennedy Sr. Meanwhile, a leaked call between Kennedy and Trump following Trump’s near-assassination in Butler, Pennsylvania, revealed the former President discussing the possibility of Kennedy joining the next Trump administration, possibly with a role investigating vaccine safety.

The Trump assassination attempt has shown the stakes for the U.S., Israel, Republicans, and indeed, the world, could not be higher.

Recently released reporting about an ‘Iranian assassination’ plot may have little or nothing to do with the July 13 assassination attempt on President Donald Trump at a rally event in Butler, Pennsylvania. In March 2024, the FBI in Miami warned of an Iranian assassin wanted in connection with assassination plots against former and current public officials, such as former National Security Advisor/Ambassador John Bolton, former CIA Director/Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and others who served in former President Donald Trump‘s administration. The Iranian regime has repeatedly threatened both Trump and other officials it holds responsible for the drone strike that killed Quds Force Commander Qassem Suleimani in January 2020. The FBI stated, “Majid Dastjani Farahani, an Iranian intelligence officer, is wanted for questioning in connection with the recruitment of individuals for various operations in the United States, to include lethal targeting of current and former United States government officials as revenge for the killing of IRGC-QF Commander Qasem Soleimani. Farahani acted or purported to act for or on behalf of, directly or indirectly, Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security.” In 2022, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi made a speech in which he blamed Trump and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for the killing of Suleimani.

Different Operations?

One theory being floated in some circles is that Thomas Matthew Crooks—and possibly others across the United States who may fit an anti-Trump, disaffected profile—could have been recruited on online gaming sites by Iranian intelligence agents posing as Americans. We’ll note that Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) told FOX News host Jesse Watters in an interview at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, WI, that Crooks had three encrypted overseas apps on his cell phone. Subsequent reporting identified the locations of those three apps as Belgium, Germany, and New Zealand. Waltz, who sits on the House Intelligence, Foreign Affairs, and Armed Services Committees, did not offer additional details, nor did Watters press him to. Online recruitment is a well-known tactic employed by Islamic jihadis, usually with the intent of enticing young people to war zones or to act within communities in support of jihadist objectives. The Islamic State (IS) exemplifies the use of technology to disseminate high-quality propaganda that emulates Hollywood movies and popular video games. Using a variety of social media platforms, IS has been able to reach millions of people and encourage tens of thousands to leave their homes and join the Caliphate. In this case, if Crooks was recruited from a gaming platform, he was not being recruited for war in Syria or Gaza. He was being recruited for a “special” operation, which could be viewed by those recruiting him as jihad.

Crooks’ attempt to murder the former US President may or may not be part of the known ‘Iranian assassination plot.’ Crooks was not a ‘trained’ assassin. He may have received some training, but he is not an IRGC/MOIS (Islamic Revolutionary Guard/Ministry of Intelligence and Security) operative. Moreover, the discovery of one plot a year ago does not mean it’s this plot. In fact, the Iranian regime and other hostile state actors continuously develop various plots to undermine the U.S. government and its allies. Disclosure to the media of the Iranian intelligence assassination plot—which came after the Trump shooting but apparently had been known for several months, if not up to a year prior—may or may not relate to this attempt by Crooks. There could be a different plot related to maintaining the Biden administration and its policies towards Gaza/Israel in power that supersedes this earlier-but-still-in-effect plot of revenge for Suleimani or it may be in addition to the threats against Trump related to Suleimani.

Which regime benefits from a Democrat administration the most? Given the situation in Gaza and the likely upcoming war between Israel and Hizballah, it is clearly in the Iranian regime’s interest to maintain the status quo. The Biden administration is, after all, an administration that has consistently demonstrated a policy of appeasement towards Tehran. The Biden, Burns, Bitar, and Blinken team has been viewed as less adversarial to Iranian interests and those of its intelligence services than the prior Republican administration led by then-President Donald Trump. The Biden administration is viewed by the Iranian regime as willing to permit and even finance its drive to deliverable nuclear weapons capability and support for Islamic terror across the region, while at the same time being antagonistic toward longtime ally Israel.

For example, the Biden administration has sought to sanction Israel’s battalion, an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) unit comprised of observant Orthodox Jewish men. Such a step is unheard of among allies and certainly from what was, until recently, the closest ally of the Jewish State of Israel. Recently, however, in deference to the UN and other aid agencies, some of which have been found to aid and abet terrorists, the Biden administration built a ‘humanitarian aid’ pier with U.S. taxpayer money to support food and other supply efforts in the Gaza Strip, in full knowledge that HAMAS takes control of most supplies coming into Gaza. The $230 million pier has now been dismantled because it could not withstand the Mediterranean’s typical buffeting by wind and waves. The U.S. State Department has proffered ‘ceasefire’ agreements that were not coordinated with Israel and which demonstrably would benefit HAMAS and its fight to survive and remain in control of Gaza, and has delayed critical weapon shipments to Israel, all of which serve to undermine Israel’s military objectives during what can only be described as an existential war.

Then there are the pro-HAMAS and pro-Iran officials who populate the Biden administration, such as Hady Amr, the Special Representative for Palestinian Affairs within the State Department’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs. Add the Iran Experts Initiative network, established in 2014 by the Iranian regime’s Foreign Ministry to infiltrate the highest levels of U.S. national security in collaboration with then head of the International Crisis Group think tank, Robert Malley. Malley was subsequently selected to head the Biden administration’s State Department negotiating team for the Iran nuclear talks in Vienna, Austria, before having his security clearance and job suspended over reports of ‘mishandling’ classified information.

There have also been questionable appointments to the Biden National Security Council. According to an article that appeared in Dnyuz, Maher al-Bitar, the White House Coordinator for Intelligence and Defense Policy at the U.S. National Security Council (NSC), was a radical pro-Palestinian activist and a leader with Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) while at Georgetown University. “Bitar’s record is coming under closer scrutiny as President Joe Biden takes unprecedented action to undermine Israel’s war against the HAMAS terrorists that attacked it on October 7, including withholding arms from Israel.” Usually, the sensitive position is reserved for a CIA officer who is detailed to the National Security Council. Bitar, however, is not an intelligence professional. He is an anti-Israel political activist who formerly worked for UNRWA (UN Relief and Works Agency), a HAMAS partner in Gaza. Bitar also played a key role in the first impeachment of President Donald Trump, working for Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) on the House Intelligence Committee.

The View from Tehran: Biden, Bitar, Burns and Blinken a Dream Team

Relaxed U.S. enforcement of oil sanctions continued through October 2023, refilling Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s coffers even after the Oct. 7 slaughter and the more than 40 attacks on U.S. troops by Iran’s regional proxies in the weeks since. The Iranian surge in oil exports since President Biden took over has brought Iran an additional $32 billion to $35 billion, according to the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. The calculations are tricky, but the cause of the Iranian windfall is clear: as part of President Biden’s quiet diplomacy with Iran, the U.S. has curtailed sanctions enforcement.

As should have been predictable, even as the money fails to moderate Iranian behavior, the mullahs’ regime grows more confident in its belligerence. It finances Iran’s aggression abroad via proxies such as HAMAS in Gaza, Hizballah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, and the front groups in Iraq and Syria that shoot at American bases once again on a regular basis. In 2020, the State Department assessed that Iran sends $100 million a year to regional Islamic terrorist groups, arming and training them to attack Israel and murder its civilians, as HAMAS, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and thousands of fully supportive Gazan civilians did on Oct. 7. In 2023, HAMAS leader Ismail Haniyeh said that his group receives $70 million a year from Iran, plus long-range rockets. Citing an Israeli security source, Reuters reports that Iran’s funding for HAMAS ballooned in the past year to $350 million. HAMAS’s capabilities, but more importantly, its objectives and intent, inexplicably took Israel and the U.S. by surprise, but they didn’t come from nowhere.

With Biden now out of the running as the Democrats’ candidate or out of office, Iran may believe it is imperative at all costs to maintain a Democratic administration, one favorable to Iran and overtly hostile to Israel. It is keenly focused on regime priorities to accelerate its nuclear weapons program, sell oil, and fight Israel through its main proxy, Hizballah. It needs a U.S. administration willing to look the other way, approach sanctions with kid gloves, and deliver sanctions against the Islamic Republic’s near enemy, Israel.

Regardless of whether the current Biden administration attempts to downplay any association between Iran and the attempted killing of the former U.S. President, it is incumbent upon U.S. security services and those responsible for the safety of President Trump and other possible Republican targets to consider the potential recruitment of Crooks by Iranian intelligence (even if that was done anonymously to an unwitting Crooks). On July 9, 2024, U.S. Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines revealed that Iran was trying to “stoke discord and undermine confidence in our democratic institutions. Haines said that actors tied to Tehran were encouraging protests over the war in Gaza by posing as activists online and even providing financial support to demonstrators. Did MOIS assess Crooks and others as potential recruits to further its Gaza goals? The primary mission of Iran’s intelligence agencies is to keep the Islamic regime in power. The MOIS and IRGC are the regime’s two main intelligence agencies.

Americans who are being targeted by this Iranian campaign may not be aware that they are interacting with or receiving support from a foreign government. Against this background of Iranian influence, it will be interesting to see what Crooks’ foreign-linked accounts reveal.

Should Iran and its security services eventually be discovered to have some association with Crooks, Trump could well be in continuous danger from a significant hostile state-level party. The threat to him may not have gone away with the takedown of Crooks and may still be at the same, if not a greater, level. If Crooks were recruited online, which is currently under investigation, we should not assume that any plot to kill the former President is over. This is not similar to a school shooter incident in which once the shooter is killed, the threat is gone.

Conspiracy theories will likely run wild for months, if not years, after this horrific attempt on the former—and likely incoming—President’s life. At the end of the day, the shooter does not appear to be a lone wolf, nor does he meet the criteria floated by several media outlets, to put everyone’s mind at ease, of a ‘school shooter.’ This is not Columbine; this was the attempted assassination of a U.S. president. It was a head shot that missed killing Trump by millimeters, not the wild spraying of bullets across a lunch hall. Nor was it an up-close event, as in the case of Ronald Reagan’s assassination attempt. Crooks conducted pre-operation surveillance, flew a drone over the site, acquired a weapon, and once situated atop his chosen roof, assumed a prone sniper position. These factors separate this operation from anything close to a ‘school shooter’ or ‘lone wolf/disgruntled youth’ event. What comes to the surface once the dust has settled may be far worse and far more complicated. If Iran recruited Crooks to maintain Biden, Bitar, Burns, and Blinken, or at least hope to keep Democrats in power while it attacks Israel, did it simultaneously recruit others like him as insurance? Are there more out there? It doesn’t seem likely that Iran would put all its efforts into just one recruit. Will Iran double down?

Beyond the ‘revealed’ assassination plot discovered several months ago, is this a new, active, and more urgent threat to Republican candidates? Is this part of a larger plot extending beyond the death of Suleimani, as some suspect? More critical and highly concerning, after the near assassination of Donald Trump, we must ask: Does the United States have a Secret Service capable of handling such a threat as possibly posed by Iran in its determination to keep the Democrats in power? Does it have the intelligence capability and the wherewithal to halt Iran from enriching ever more uranium for its nuclear weapons program, deploying nuclear-tipped weapons, and annihilating Israel? Secretary of State Blinken has now stated that Iran is within two weeks of having a nuclear-capable weapon. There are still some six months remaining until Inauguration Day in January 2025. If anything, the Trump assassination attempt has shown the stakes for the U.S., Israel, Republicans, and indeed, the world, could not be higher.

RJC head on the DNC: ‘Democrats acted as if Israel didn’t exist’

Even though not a single speaker passed the “Praise Israel Watch” challenge, the group still plans to donate 1,189 trees in Israel in memory of the 1,189 victims killed on Oct. 7.

The Republican Jewish Coalition said speakers at the Democratic National Convention, held this past week in Chicago, had failed to support and celebrate Israel.

CEO Matt Brooks described the RJC’s “Praise Israel Watch,” which had urged anyone addressing audiences to advocate for Israel in exchange for the planting of 1,800 trees in their name, in a statement on Friday, the day after the convention’s conclusion.

According to the group, no one succeeded.

“Unfortunately, the Democrats acted as if Israel didn’t exist, which is exactly what their pro-Palestinian base wanted,” Brooks said. “Of the 155 Democratic Convention speakers, not a single one, including Kamala Harris, praised Israel from the main stage as the Jewish state fights for its very survival.”

He called the brief mention of Israel and her pledge to uphold its security following the Hamas terrorist attacks on Oct. 7, which has led to 11 months of war in the Gaza Strip and with Iran’s other terror proxies, in her speech on Thursday night “the bare minimum.”

He noted that “she never praised Israel. Instead, she implicitly criticized Israel for the suffering Hamas has caused in Gaza.” He characterized calls by the current vice president and 2024 Democratic presidential candidate for a ceasefire in Gaza as meaning that Hamas would survive, saying “that’s unacceptable.”

Even though no DNC speaker passed the group’s challenge, Brooks announced that the RJC “will still donate to plant 1,189 trees in Israel in memory of the 1,189 victims killed on Oct. 7.”

Can We Connect Iran’s Regime to Trump Assassination Attempt?

Warnings about “the threat from foreign terrorists” from senior U.S. national security officials such as FBI Director Christopher Wray have been sounded repeatedly in recent months.

U.S. Central Command commander Gen. Erik Kurilla likewise has been emphasizing the capabilities of Islamic jihad terror groups including al-Qaida (AQ), the Islamic State (IS), and its offshoot, the Islamic State Khorasan (IS-K) in Afghanistan.

Both Wray and Kurilla note the wide open U.S. southern border, at which hundreds of individuals on the U.S. terror watchlist have been apprehended over the last several years.

This does not include unknown numbers of possible terrorists or others with malicious intent who have successfully penetrated our northern and southern borders as so-called “got aways” or completely undetected.

In Senate Homeland Security Committee testimony (October 2023), FBI Director Wray focused specifically on the Islamic Republic of Iran, whose regime, he warned, continues to plot assassination operations against both current and former U.S. government officials as revenge for the January 2020 take-down of Qods Force commander Gen. Qassem Suleimani on orders from then-President Donald Trump.

Among those provided 24/7 protection because of those credible threats — that include the actual presence of Iranian hit teams inside the U.S. — are former U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton and former CIA Director and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

We may note also that the month of Muharram is the first month of the Islamic calendar, which this year overlaps with July 2024. July16-17 2024 specifically commemorated Ashura, the 10th day of Muharram, a date associated with the 680 C.E.

Battle of Karbala in which Hussein ibn Ali, his forces, and family were defeated and killed by the army of the Sunni Umayyad Caliphate General Yazid, son of the Caliph Mu’awiya.

It’s significant to note that top Iranian regime figures, including the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, have been identifying their Gaza terror proxy Hamas with the martyred Hussein and (rather oddly) portraying Israel and the Israeli Defense Forces as the modern-day incarnations of Mu’awiya and Yazid.

Iranian regime officials have issued a steady stream of threats, verbally and in online postings, against the United States, and named U.S. officials ever since the January 2020 Suleimani strike.

For example, in January 2021, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei posted an apparent online threat on Twitter showing an image of Trump golfing with a caption “vengeance is definite.”

Earlier, on January 10, 2020, this author posted an article at the Center for Security Policy, “Iran’s Red Flag of War Flies over Jamkaran.”

That piece referred to the red flag that the Iranian regime hoisted over the Jamkaran mosque, where Shi’ites expect the 12th Imam to appear at the end of times.

That flag signifies a pledge of vengeance against the U.S. for Suleimani’s killing.

Farsi words on the flag say “Oh, ye avengers of Hussein” and indicates not only the Shi’a connection of Suleimani’s death to Hussein and the Battle of Karbala that solidified the intra-Islamic split between Sunni and Shi’ite, but an abiding commitment to revenge for Suleimani’s death.

The flag supposedly flies until that vengeance is exacted.

Even as recently as June 2024, during Iran’s presidential election campaign, Khamenei spoke openly in threatening anti-American terms to crowds chanting “Death to America.”

This connection may matter because as media are only now informing us, the U.S. Secret Service (subordinate to the Department of Homeland Security) at some unspecified but recent date received intelligence from a human source about an Iranian regime plot to assassinate former President Donald Trump.

U.S. government sources hasten to add that there is no known connection between that intelligence information and the July 13, 2024 attempted assassination of Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

At this time, it is premature to either, as the FBI has done, announce with any certainty that shooter Thomas Crooks acted alone — or to point to external hostile actors like Iran as somehow involved.

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, R-La., announced on July 17, 2024 that he would be setting up a bipartisan special task force to investigate the attack against Trump.

Other congressional committees, including the House Judiciary and House Oversight Committees, are scheduling their own hearings to include invitations to testify to FBI Director Wray, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, and Director of the Secret Service Kimberly Cheatle.

Congressional briefings from FBI, Justice Department, and Secret Service officials also are being scheduled.

There are many pressing questions to be answered by these officials before any conclusions about the assassination attempt against President Trump should be drawn.

Bu these U.S. government officials must be pressed urgently by both Congress and the media to provide answers to those questions to the American people.

U.S. Flag Burned, Dozens Arrested at Anti-Israel Protest in Chicago

The third straight day of protests at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) brought an escalation in disruption, persistence, and arrests, as well as a shift of focus to the Israeli consulate on Tuesday. Around three hours of physical confrontations resulted in 55-60 arrests, according to Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling. The anti-Israel demonstrators “showed up with the intent of committing acts of violence, vandalism. That was their intent,” he said.

At last, the radical street activists got the tussle with cops they have been hoping for all week, at a “rally” appropriately named “Make it Great Like 68!” But, to achieve this confrontation, they had to find a target other than the heavily secured Democratic National Convention, where police erected a third fence after Monday’s perimeter breach.

Indeed, in the early afternoon, the DNC’s designated protest area at Union Park, staging ground for the earlier protest, was completely deserted. Even with a “make-shift stage & big speakers” provided by the city, not a protestor was in sight. It was the calm before the storm.

Led by Behind Enemy Lines, which NBC News calls “a leftist group with militant leanings,” activists had planned the Tuesday protest to begin at 7 p.m. in front of the Israeli consulate, located in an office building approximately 1.7 miles east of the DNC. Chicago Police assembled in force ahead of time to prevent the protestors from doing any damage to the consulate.

Protestors soon flooded the street, chanting for intifada, while fully masked speakers (with dark glasses) opined against Israel with the freedom that only comes with anonymity. To the east of the Israeli embassy, a pro-Israel counter-protest had formed, bearing posters with a picture of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and chanting “bring them home,” referring to the hostages captured by Hamas on October 7 who have still not been released, including a number of American citizens. At one point, a pro-Hamas activist responded by chanting, “kill another settler now,” referring to Jews who live in Judea and Samaria.

Around 7:30 p.m., riot police arrived and formed a thin, blue line between the two groups. One group waved Palestinian and communist flags, while the other group waved Israeli and American flags; one group sang “God Bless America,” and the other chanted “Intifada.” There the two groups stood, like the Israelites and Philistines at the Battle of Elah (1 Samuel 17:2-3), close enough to shout at one another, but not close enough to engage.

Before long, however, the anti-Israel demonstrators determined to be the aggressors. They marched directly at the line of Chicago police officers and attempted to break through. The astonishing maneuver utterly failed in the face of superior police numbers, and in response the Chicago police pushed the anti-Israel protestors far down the street to the west. The police also made multiple arrests against those who most distinguished themselves in this ill-fated charge, wrestling at least seven or eight activists to the ground in less than 90 seconds, as one video shows. There ensued another standoff between the factions, which continued for 20 minutes or longer.

During this time, the anti-Israel crowd staged a display that was both anti-Israel and anti-America. With lighter fluid brought for the purpose, they burned a “hybrid Israeli-American flag” on the ground. They then threw an American flag onto the smoldering ashes of the first and proceeded to torch it also, once again evoking their anti-American tantrum near the U.S. Capitol in July.

Upon seeing the stars and stripes thus disgraced, one journalist who was present exchanged his journalist hat for a patriot hat. “Not old glory!” he cried, leaping to retrieve it from the flames. But it was no good. Multiple demonstrators blocked his approach and shoved him forcefully away. “F— this country! Burn it down! Burn it down” taunted one young man with face and eyes covered. Another man, who had likewise concealed his identity, turned the incident into an object lesson over the loudspeaker. “The only acceptable American flag is one that is burned and charred,” he declared.”

While speaking at the DNC late Monday night, President Joe Biden said to a national audience, “Those protesters out in the street, they have a point.” Listening to the protestors, they seem to hate America (and especially Israel) just as much as they care for Gaza (or actually Hamas).

Once it grew dark, the police attempted to funnel the mob away from the consulate. Some demonstrators clashed with police, resulting in several arrests. Others fanned out into the city, “and began marching on an improvised route through downtown Chicago,” reported NBC News. “They marched on some streets where traffic had not been blocked, at one point engulfing a taxicab with passengers inside it.”

The radical column zigged and zagged to evade police blockades, but the police steadily corralled them back together. “Several times, police in riot gear would halt the forward progress of the protest, escort media members from the crowd, make a handful of arrests and order remaining protesters to leave before they allowed the dwindling crowd to continue forward,” NBC described. The protestors fought with officers and at one point succeeded in freeing an agitator who had been arrested.

Finally, the police cornered the remaining protestors by S. Canal Street and W. Monroe Street, a block south of the Israeli consulate. The police — which by this point outnumbered the protestors “at least 20 to one” — surrounded them and ordered the press to stand aside. “A melee ensued, with rioters flashing strobe lights in the eyes of the officers,” reported one eyewitness. Police officers arrested the remaining protestors around 9 p.m. and loaded them into prison vans.

If there was a winner here, it was the American-Israeli partnership, which stared down the vile hatred of a radical fringe and came out looking patriotic. The Chicago police acquitted themselves well, although I’m sure most of their officers would rather not have had to wrestle a bunch of radical activists in the dark.

As for the left-wing radicals, well, they have the satisfaction of recreating their myth of the 1968 Democratic convention, which helped normal people throughout the country to decisively sour on the party for the next two elections. And, with Chicago’s left-wing prosecutor declining to charge “protestors,” they’re free to continue their misbehavior without fear of serious consequences.

Allow me to guide you through the Democrats’ wondrous world of human freaks and oddities. But first, we must get inside!

Careful, this is a dangerous path. Stay alert as we wade through the crowds of unwashed protesters — rabid, the lot of them.

Feast your eyes on a veritable buffet of causes. Do you want to see the destruction of Israel? Care to donate to Hamas? Perhaps trans rights are more your speed. Or, think bigger: the true idealists here want global intifada or worldwide communist revolution. Purple hair here; blue hair there; is that a man or a woman?

“Excuse me sir, would you like an American flag to burn?”

Over there, you’ll see Planned Parenthood’s free spay and neuter clinic. Excuse me, I mean free abortion and vasectomy “health” unit. Because nothing says “family values” like a mobile clinic for life’s little oopsie-daisies.

“Step right up, folks, get your reproductive rights sorted while you finger paint a Hamas flag!”

And what’s this? A girl holding a sign with the N-word boldly emblazoned. Is this a vicious “white supremacist?” Who’s to say. She may be an over-zealous theater kid striving for an A+ in Performance Art. Or, like the rest of her fellow travelers, perhaps it’s all a desperate plea for attention.

Now, let’s venture inside where the real circus begins.

It appears we’re too late to see our Dear Leader. Joe Biden might be the President, but that still didn’t secure him a prime time spot. No, the shadowy figures behind the curtains could not allow that. Biden went on some time ago, in the wee hours of the night. Some say you can still hear his voice trailing off if you listen very closely…

Up next, we see the King and Queen of the Democratic Party — although who’s to say which title belongs to whom. The Obamas have reigned supreme for over a decade, yet still they bristle with resentment. What’s that Michelle? You say you’ll “never benefit” from “generational wealth.” Perhaps you should have skipped the $3,000 pantsuit for this speech.

Here, take this prophylactic before we head into the next exhibit. You can never be too careful around these ladies.

Take a look at the Hotties for Harris. Here you’ll find everything you need to slut it up at the DNC: Plan B from a gumball machine, pregnancy tests and UTI treatments. There’s even a bad bitch boxing corner. And if it wasn’t all Mean Girl enough, there’s a wall of hotties and a wall of notties. All we need now is a Burn Book.

Who’s that stomping onto stage? Here comes Tim Walz, the gesticulating governor from Minnesota. A wave here, a raised fist there, watch as he directs an invisible orchestra with a stride in his step. Is he really such a dorky dad, or is he a beady-eyed communist in disguise? You have to respect his acting chops.

And it looks like he passed down the acting genes. “I love you dad,” cries Little Timmy from the balcony. Watch him stand and cheer, waving almost as madly as the old man. Like father, like son; but how many times did he rehearse this in front of the mirror?

Speaking of the kiddos, take a look at Kamala Harris’ beloved step daughter. She crawled out of the sewers of Bushwick just to show her support. Her tapestry of tattoos tells the story of her life, but her camo Harris-Walz hat is the real statement piece. What’s this quirky girl doing wearing hunting gear? Irony — it’s all the rage these days. She’s wearing it because she thinks it’s ugly, and she wants you to know what she thinks of the people who earnestly share her tastes.

Alas, we approach the end of our pageant of peculiarities. But don’t worry, you can still leave with a souvenir. You record a Tik Tok dance for posterity. If Gen-Z goes somewhere and doesn’t do a TikTok dance, did they ever really leave the house?

Democrats talk a good talk, but they can’t walk the walk. No matter what they do, the weirdness shines through. Sadly, our tour of the DNC has come to an end. But don’t fret. If our screwball heroes prevail in November, you’ll get another four years of the freak show.

How Conservative Consumers Are Winning the War on Woke Corporations

If you’ve ever felt like the collective voice of common-sense Americans is being drowned out, you’re not alone.

Why would you feel any different?

Social media companies constantly suppress the voices of those with common sense, the entertainment industry mocks them, late-night comedy shows ridicule them, Hollywood dramas disparage them, universities berate them, and the mainstream news media suffocates them.

But are these voices truly falling on deaf ears, unable to penetrate the waxy build-up infesting the woke, snowflake eardrums that refuse to hear our words—and make sure no one else does either?

Be encouraged because recent developments tell a very different story.

The voice of common sense is not just being heard; it’s being listened to, acted upon, and even changing the course of major corporations. Companies like Harley-Davidson, Disney, Tractor Supply, and John Deere have all reversed woke policies in response to consumer backlash, proving that your voice has the power to drive real change.

In today’s corporate America, consumer voices often feel silenced by the overwhelming force of media bias and corporate agendas.

It’s no secret that many in the legacy media downplay or outright ignore the growing consumer backlash against companies that abandon traditional values in favor of woke policies.

However, as recent events have shown, these grassroots movements can and do succeed—even when the media refuses to report on them.

The victories achieved by committed consumers serve as a powerful reminder that we must stay the course, even when our efforts seem to be shadow-banned from the public eye.

Take, for instance, the recent reversal by Harley-Davidson.

After years of grumblings from their most loyal customers, particularly those who felt betrayed by the company’s shift towards diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, the iconic motorcycle brand has slammed the brakes on its woke policies.

Harley-Davidson’s decision to eliminate its DEI function and refocus on its core customer base is a direct result of the relentless pressure applied by its riders—pressure that, for the most part, was ignored or ridiculed by mainstream media.

Social media influencers like Robby Starbuck helped amplify the outrage, proving that grassroots efforts, when sustained, can force even the most resistant corporations to change course.

Similarly, Disney, a company that has long been at the forefront of progressive agendas, was recently forced to backtrack on its legal defense in a wrongful death lawsuit.

After public outcry over its attempt to use a Disney+ subscription agreement to dismiss a lawsuit involving a woman who suffered a fatal allergic reaction at a Disney Springs restaurant, the company reversed its stance and allowed the case to proceed in court.

Disney had tried to argue that the woman’s husband waived his right to sue in court when they signed up for a free trial of Disney+, where the terms of service allegedly absolved Disney from any lawsuits related to incidents at its theme parks.

This decision came not because the media highlighted the absurdity of Disney’s defense but because consumers refused to let the issue go unnoticed. The media may have tried to bury the story, but the public’s outrage couldn’t be ignored.

Tractor Supply, a staple of rural America, also succumbed to conservative backlash after weeks of online criticism for its DEI and climate efforts.

The company has now eliminated its DEI roles, ceased participation in LGBTQ+ events, and retired its carbon emission goals, choosing instead to focus on traditional values that resonate with its core customer base.

This shift wasn’t prompted by coverage from The New York Times or CNN; instead, it was the result of relentless pressure from consumers who felt their values were being disregarded.

And then there’s John Deere, another American institution that found itself in the crosshairs of conservative consumers.

The farm equipment giant recently announced it would no longer sponsor “social or cultural awareness” events (read: LGBTQ+ events) and would cease requiring employees to use preferred, often confusing and mind-twisting, pronouns.

Once again, this change wasn’t driven by media scrutiny but by the unwavering determination of consumers who demanded a return to the company’s roots.

These examples should encourage all who feel that their voices are being drowned out by complicit media.

The media’s strategy is clear: they either portray boycotts as the grumblings of a fringe minority or they ignore them altogether, hoping the fire will burn out.

The Bud Light controversy offers another poignant example of how media strategies can backfire. Initially, the media tried to frame the backlash as nothing more than the outcry of “white, red-neck, racist” consumers.

It wasn’t just an attempt to paint the boycotters as (in Hillary Clinton’s words) a “basket of deplorables.” It was also a deliberate effort to rally public support for what was, at the time, the number-one-selling beer in America.

But when the boycott gained traction—much to the media’s dismay—they seemed to recall a lesson learned back in 1994, when Republicans ended a 40-year drought and gained control of both the U.S. House and Senate in what became known as the Republican Revolution.

The lesson? Don’t fan the flames of common-sense opinions unless you’re absolutely sure it won’t burn the house down.

This strategy, born from the media’s experiences in the 1980s, particularly with figures like Dr. Jerry Falwell, backfired when it became clear that the voices they tried to discredit were actually resonating with the American people.

I, too, was often called upon by the media at the time, regularly appearing on major network television shows and giving interviews. As the editor of the Moral Majority Report and later the founder of the Christian Action Network, I soon witnessed firsthand how the media’s strategy shifted after 1994.

After the Republican Revolution, the media largely stopped interviewing top conservative figures. Instead, they opted to interview liberal opponents, allowing them to describe conservative positions in exaggerated and far-fetched terms.

This not only distorted the conservative message but also helped the liberal agenda advance rapidly in the United States.

When Donald Trump ran for president in 2016, the media, perhaps forgetting this lesson, gave him unprecedented airtime, believing it would reveal him as out of touch with reality. However, the strategy again backfired, and Trump was elected President of the United States despite the media’s ridicule.

The media learned once more that conservative voices when given a platform, resonate with the American people. This is why, after the 2016 election, we saw conservative voices suppressed or even banned by the most prominent social media outlets.

The media’s strategy now is to silence or minimize the voices of common-sense Americans, especially when they challenge the liberal agenda.

But recent victories, like the Bud Light boycott, remind us that even without media support, these voices can still be powerful and effective.

Our organization, Christian Action Network, is proud to have exposed the deceptions of companies like Disney and Harley-Davidson.

We know that the media often tries to bury these stories, but we also know that when consumers stand together, their voices can’t be ignored. These victories are proof that your resistance matters, even if it doesn’t make the evening news.

So, to every consumer and patriot who is frustrated by corporate America’s relentless push towards woke policies, stay the course.

Now, more than ever, it’s crucial that we continue to resist the encroachment of woke policies. Your efforts may not get the attention they deserve, but they are making a difference.

As these recent victories show, when consumers stand firm in their values, even the biggest corporations are forced to listen. Keep resisting, speak out, and know your voice is more powerful than you think.

Together, we can continue to topple wokeism in corporate America, one boycott at a time.

Kamala Harris is Weak, Failed, and Dangerously Liberal

Not only does Kamala Harris own the weakness, failure, and chaos of the Harris-Biden administration, she is so radical that she makes “the Squad” look like moderates. She wants to abolish our borders, let criminals control our streets, surrender our communities to cartels and a plague of fentanyl, wage war on American energy, and destroy the American Dream.

Here are some key parts of Kamala and Tim’s radical agenda:

Fighting to Set Murderers Free

Kamala Harris supported the Minnesota Freedom Fund, helping to bail out now-convicted murderers and violent criminals. One man freed by the bail fund went on to commit murder. She’ll bring the MFF’s policies to the White House.

Harris’s Positions

Kamala Harris actively supports bailing violent criminals out of jail and allowing violent illegal aliens to roam our streets.

Case in point: Kamala Harris called on her supporters to “chip in” to the Minnesota Freedom Fund.

According to new reporting from CNN, that fund went on to bail out at least 65 people in a single county accused of “felony charges involving violence, physical threats or sex crimes. All were convicted.”

The MFF paid bail for looters arrested in the 2020 riots, for a twice-convicted rapist, a man accused of sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl, a man accused of a vicious assault and robbery, a man charged with attacking a woman in a restaurant bathroom, and even several serial domestic abusers — among dozens of other criminals.

That makes sense considering Kamala Harris supports ending cash bail — even for violent criminals.

More “Bidenomics”—it’s “Working,” Rising Costs are Nothing to Worry About!

Record high gas prices under the Harris-Biden administration are the “price to pay for democracy.” Remember, Kamala proudly delivered the deciding vote that allowed the $1.9 trillion “stimulus” to be passed. Don’t listen to former Obama economist Jason Furman, who said the spending bill is “too big,” or former Obama and Clinton economist Larry Summers, who said the “tremendous wall of money” led to inflation, or former Obama economic advisor Steven Rattner, who called Kamala’s $1.9 trillion stimulus “the original sin” of inflation.

Harris’s Positions

Harris was the deciding vote on the inflation-fueling $1.9 trillion “stimulus.” Harris owns this inflation, and everyone knows it.

Even liberal economists admit Harris’s massive spending spree sent inflation soaring.

Former Obama and Clinton economist Larry Summers: The “tremendous wall of money” that the Democrats “released last spring” has led to inflation.
Former Obama economist Jason Furman: The spending bill is “too big … don’t know any economist” who supported that much.
Former Obama economic advisor Steven Rattner: “The original sin” was passing the $1.9 trillion, which has “contributed materially to today’s inflation levels.”
Biden’s Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen: Harris’s $1.9 trillion stimulus was one of the “factors that are involved in inflation.”

Harris now claims her policies are “working” and wants to double down on the exact same agenda that will send prices even higher.

More Taxes to Ensure the Middle-Class Pays Their “Fair Share”

In Kamala’s America, the middle-class will need to pay more. Those are the Harris tax hikes!

Harris’s Positions

Kamala Harris wants to eliminate the Trump tax cuts, which would mean a massive tax hike on middle-income families.

Harris was the deciding vote for the “Inflation Reduction Act,” which decreased the “average after-tax income for taxpayers” at every income level. Americans earning less than $200,000/year saw their taxes rise by $16.7 billion in 2023.

Abolish Borders

Kamala Harris delivered on her promise to open our borders as border czar—just look at the 10 million who have crossed already, an all-time record! Now it’s time to abolish ICE, decriminalize illegal border crossings, give benefits to illegal aliens, and let them vote!

Harris’s Positions

Kamala “Border Czar” Harris is responsible for the worst border crisis in U.S. history.

According to Harris, “the current administration’s immigration policies largely involve undoing the previous one’s work.” Unfortunately, she’s right, and it fueled the invasion.

The chaos we’ve seen though, may be intentional. Kamala Harris said illegal aliens “are not criminals,” and Harris opposed measures to increase border security and decrease illegal immigration.

Bring Back the Green New Deal

Kamala Harris believes American energy is just plain awful. Thankfully, she knows other countries we can import it from. That’s why she wants to ban fossil fuels, ban fracking, end oil drilling, and export our energy supply chain to China. Her $100 trillion GND would do just that, in addition to ending all of those 2 million “dirty” energy jobs. They need to “transition” to new ones!

Harris’s Positions

Harris bragged about delivering “the most ambitious climate agenda in history.” What does that really mean? Hurting our environment, national security, and economy by exporting our energy supply chain to Communist China.

During her campaign for president, Harris said “there’s no question, I’m in favor of banning fracking. She also touted an agreement to phase out fossil fuels, supported cancelling the Keystone XL pipeline, which killed 11,000 jobs, and Harris called the record-high gas prices seen under the Biden administration the “price to pay for democracy.”

Indeed, Harris’ commitment to killing American energy is not new. As senator, Kamala Harris cosponsored the radical $93 trillion Green New Deal with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, which estimates show could kill up to 2 million jobs and cost an average family $165,000. In 2017, Harris sponsored legislation to ban offshore drilling.

On top of it all, she wants to ban practically everything, including expressing support for banning plastic straws and a national reduction in red meat consumption.

Kamala Believes in Freedom for Individuals Associated with Violent Behavior. (Formally Referred to as Violent Criminals)

Kamala will continue her record from her time as a prosecutor, where San Francisco police officers said she was slow to prosecute numerous murder suspects and said she regularly offered favorable plea deals to resolve cases out of trial.

Harris’s Positions

Harris supports defunding the police. As even CNN reports, her record supporting defund the police is a long one. She said it is “outdated, it is wrongheaded thinking to think” that more police officers make communities safer, and Harris has repeatedly called to “reimagine” the role of police.

As senator, Harris praised L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti’s $150 million cut in police funding.

When given the opportunity, Harris failed to prosecute criminals to the fullest extent of the law.

As San Francisco DA, Harris chose not to seek the death penalty against the murderer of a Hispanic San Francisco police officer, or against an illegal immigrant MS-13 gang member who shot a father and his two sons. And police accused Harris of being slow to prosecute numerous murder suspects and said she regularly offered favorable plea deals to resolve cases out of trial.
- In 2010, Harris’ DA office had to dismiss over 1,000 drug cases due to a scandal in the police crime lab, with Harris taking “full responsibility” for the failure.
- Harris’ DA office granted probation to a violent criminal who then went on to murder two men while released.

To make matters worse, Harris said that we should have a “conversation” about whether terrorists like the Boston Marathon bomber should vote from prison.

Ending “Wrongheaded Thinking” That More Police Mean Safer Communities

Kamala Harris was proud to join the Defund The Police movement in 2020. She boldly said the protests “should not” let up and applauded then-L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti for defunding the LA Police.

Eliminate Private Health Insurance

Kamala Harris believes it’s terrible people have private health insurance, and that even if they like their plan, they shouldn’t get to keep it. Under Harris’s plan, all Americans would lose their health insurance in the name of fairness. That’s why she cosponsored a $32 trillion socialist health care takeover plan to make sure that everybody loses choice!

Harris’s Positions

Harris supports abolishing private insurance. She even cosponsored Bernie Sanders’ $32 trillion socialist health care takeover bill.

When asked about her plan, and specifically on if people who like their plan could keep it, she said “let’s eliminate all of that.”

To add insult to injury, while denying Americans insurance, she supports providing taxpayer-funded health insurance for illegal immigrants. Studies also show that her plan would also lead to as many as 50% of rural hospitals closing their doors.

Give Social Security and Medicare to Illegal Aliens

Kamala believes it’s selfish that seniors want to ensure benefits only go to American citizens. They should pay for benefits for illegal aliens! Who cares if that destroys the program. Kamala believes illegal aliens should receive taxpayer-funded benefits, and while she’s at it, she wants to expand the government takeover even if it puts over 50% of rural hospitals out of business. Move to a city!

Harris’s Positions

During the Harris-Biden administration seniors saw the largest ever Medicare Part B premium increase in 2022, jumping 14.5 percent.

Democrats still have NO PLAN to protect Social Security and Medicare benefits — and that tells you all you need to know, especially since Harris wants to give benefits to tens of millions of illegal aliens, which would destroy the program entirely.

The Bottom Line

It is critical for every legal American voter to understand the policies of the Harris/Walz ticket and the Trump/Vance ticket.

Here are the 20 items on the RNC’s Platform for 2024.

Seal the border and stop the migrant invasion.
Carry out the largest deportation operation in American history.
End inflation, and Make America Affordable Again.
Make America the dominant energy producer in the world, by far!
Stop outsourcing, and turn the United States into a manufacturing superpower.
Large tax cuts for workers, and No Tax On Tips!
Defend our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, and our fundamental freedoms, including freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the right to keep and bear arms.
Prevent World War III, restore peace in Europe and in the Middle East, and build a great iron dome missile defense shield over our entire country – all made in America.
End the weaponization of government against the American people.
Stop the migrant crime epidemic, demolish foreign drug cartels, crush gang violence, and lock up violent offenders.
Rebuild our cities, including Washington DC, making them safe, clean, and beautiful again.
Strengthen and modernize our military, making it, without question, the strongest and most powerful in the world.
Keep the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency.
Fight for and protect Social Security and Medicare with NO CUTS, including no changes in the retirement age.
Cancel the electric vehicle mandate and cut costly burdensome regulations.
Cut federal funding for any school pushing Critical Race Theory, Radical Gender Ideology, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children.
Keep men OUT of women’s sports.
Deport pro-Hamas radicals and make our college campuses safe and patriotic again.
Secure our elections, including same day voting, voter identification, paper ballots, and proof of citizenship.
Unite our country by bringing it to new and record levels of success.

Stephen P. White: We live in an age in which our very notions of citizenship and public life are increasingly malformed by media. We’re not better for it.

In his 1985 classic, Amusing Ourselves to Death, Neil Postman offered a critique of the social and political changes brought about by the ubiquity of television in American society. Metaphors tell us what something is like, and, according to Postman, our media (print, radio, television, etc.) operate a lot like metaphors: they “classify the world for us, sequence it, frame it, enlarge it, reduce it, color it, argue a case for what the world is like.”

Postman’s problem with television was not that it conveys unserious or false information (though it often does that), but that the constraints and tendencies of the medium itself shape the kinds of things we are capable of saying and understanding about the world through television. Television creates in us an (often unexamined) expectation that reality ought to conform, indeed, does conform, to the sorts of things that make for “good television.”

And, as Postman insists, all television is entertainment.

Not that there’s anything wrong with entertainment. But the problem as Postman described it was that television had, by the mid-1980s, all but displaced print media as the defining “media-metaphor” of our society. Compared to television, communicating through the printed word requires a clarity of thought and expression, and demands both author and reader be capable of making (or following) sustained, complex arguments.

For much of the nation’s history, Americans (rich and poor alike) were deeply formed by the print media’s monopoly, particularly over our public discourse. The habits of mind and thought this encouraged, in turn, had a profound effect on social and political life. When television replaced print media as the defining metaphor of American public life, the consequences were dramatic. Yet somehow, they went largely unnoticed.

Neil Postman, who died in 2003, is very much worth reading (or re-reading) today. Looking around at the current media environment (and the state of our politics and public discourse) Postman’s concerns about the deleterious effects of broadcast television seem, somehow, both prescient and quaint. It is fascinating to think what he would have made of the rise of cable news, reality TV, and, above all, the explosion of social media.

What, for example, would Postman have to say about the age of smartphones, and of Twitter and TikTok?

These thoughts came to me recently when I was vacationing at the beach with my family. For a good ten days, my smartphone was rarely used for anything except taking photos of my kids as they splashed in the waves or for texting my wife from the grocery store to ask if we needed more limes.

Not being on my phone means I missed some things going on in the world. Some important things. The sorts of things about which I feel a “professional obligation” to keep abreast. It’s not that I can do much about these things. So, it was nice – if only for ten days or so – not to have to worry about things over which I have very little or no control.

And that is why the beach brought my thoughts back to Neil Postman. Postman wasn’t one of those cranks who simply blames everything he doesn’t like on television. For example, one of the lamentable features of our age is information overload. This is a relatively new problem, but it’s not one television created.

As Postman points out, it really began with the humble telegraph and only got worse from there: “For the first time in human history, people were faced with the problem of information glut, which means that simultaneously they were faced with the problem of a diminished social and political potency.”

Today, we have more information than we know what to do with, and much of it – the most spectacular and sensational information – has little or nothing to do with us and, anyway, is beyond our ability to control. Postman illustrates this problem by posing a series of questions pertaining to important issues of his day:

What steps do you plan to take to reduce the conflict in the Middle East? Or the rates of inflation, crime and unemployment? What are your plans for preserving the environment or reducing the risk of nuclear war? What do you plan to do about NATO, OPEC, the CIA, affirmative action, and the monstrous treatment of the Baha’is in Iran?

These were all important issues in 1985. Some of them – depressingly, most of them – remain important issues today, almost 40 years later. But what do you or I plan to do about any of them? Postman is unflinching in his answer: “I shall take the liberty of answering for you: You plan to do nothing about them.”

He’s right, of course. Or rather, he was half right. Because, while the sensible thing to do is recognize one’s impotence in resolving these remote and abstract problems, many people today simply can’t help themselves. And so they shriek into their phones and post the video on social media, or they occupy college campuses, or they glue themselves to priceless works of art, or they lie down in traffic during rush hour.

Or they funnel their exasperated impotence into politics, particularly national politics, where the scale of problems is most evident, and the action of a citizen is most impotent. As Postman put it, every couple of years we can, “cast a ballot for someone who claims to have some plans, as well as the power to act.” Why would such a vision of citizenship satisfy anyone?

It is not hard to find all this same impotent frustration within the Church, too. Our ecclesial arguments are invariably nationalized and globalized. Personal morality is downplayed; moral responsibility for various global issues is emphasized.

In an age in which our very notions of citizenship and public life are increasingly malformed by the media we consume, the old saw that “all politics is local” is less and less adequate as a description of the reality we see around us. We’re not better for it.

100 Synagogues and Jewish institutions get bomb threats

THIS is a crime. Not a hate crime, a crime and a large scale one. Any judge worthy of dry cleaning his robes would factor in motive to the sentence should the state bother to track this down and lay appropriate charges.

Montreal synagogues on Canada-wide list of threatened Jewish institutions

Montreal police (SPVM) says at least a dozen synagogues in Montreal are on a list of more than 100 places of worship across Canada that received a threatening email Wednesday morning.

The force received a 911 call at 7:10 a.m. about the email, which was received at 5 a.m., and officers are currently onsite at Adath Israel Poale Zedek Anshei Ozeroff on Harrow Crescent in Hampstead.

So far, the force says it has not found any reasonable threat.

“The premise was checked inside and outside. No threats were found, nothing was found,” said Montreal police spokesperson Sabrina Gauthier. “We will complete an analysis of the email.”

Rabbi Michael Whitman tells CTV News that morning services were halted at 6:30 a.m. following the threats. About 15 people were evacuated from the building.

Whitman says synagogue members will receive updates on the situation. For now, he says the institution remains open.

Gauthier confirms officers are also checking for potential threats at other Jewish establishments across the city.

The force says it is consulting with its hate crime squad, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is now in charge of the investigation.

As usual reading CTV, the reader is forced to decode it to try and figure out WTF it actually means. How do police search for “a threat” exactly. CTV in fact does not include materials that they clearly are likely to have had at the time of publication. Materials like this:

Meanwhile, we can hope that the police have more specific information than just “threats” to look for.

I believe the hospitals were entirely Jewish ones. But can’t confirm that from the RCMP tweets. I wonder why that is. They also seem to make moral equivalence between all faith based leaders, as if for instance, hypothetically mosques had all been targeted, or if Islam had any actual hospitals, they were targeted.

Kamala stands with Hamas, America stands with Israel

As Kamala Harris curries favor with pro-Hamas Democrats, her administration is euchring Israel to agree to a ceasefire designed to save that terrorist organization from increasingly imminent destruction by the Jewish State.

Should her efforts succeed, the predictable result would be not only the death in captivity of more hostages, but the imperiling of every other Israeli as what would amount to their country’s defeat emboldens Iran and its friends to try to finish her off. They will then turn to us, “the Great Satan.”

Fortunately, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is resisting such extortion, as he must. U.S. polls keep showing eighty percent of Americans stand with Israel, and not Hamas. Especially if our campuses are again besieged by the pro-jihadist “Red-Green axis” this fall, Kamala’s sympathies may become a distinct political liability, as well as a strategic disaster for America.

Celebrating the King James Bible

With another school season gearing up, debates about the content of curriculum arise. Should the Bible be included in any way?

Several years ago, TIME magazine (April 2, 2007) had a cover story on why the Bible should be taught (with caution) in the public schools.

TIME’s David Van Biema wrote: “Should the Holy Book be on the public menu? Yes. It’s the bedrock of Western culture. And it’s constitutional—as long as we teach but don’t preach it.”

He also notes: “Simply put, the Bible is the most influential book ever written. Not only is the Bible the best-selling book of all time, it is the best-selling book of the year every year.”

One man who would agree was the late Reid Buckley, brother of the late William F. Buckley, Jr., who used to train professional speakers. Reid said this about the world’s most beloved book: “Any born English-speaking son or daughter of the Christian West, who has not savored, indeed, soaked him- or herself in the King James Version of the Holy Bible is irreparably ignorant and culturally deprived.”

The Bible is the best-selling book in the history of the world. And the King James Version (1611), in particular is the most widely published and distributed book of all time.

For our Coral Ridge Ministries television special, “What If the Bible Had Never Been Written?” (based on the eponymous book by Dr. D. James Kennedy and me), author Bill Federer observed, “If they were to [include it in] the New York Times bestseller list every month, all top ten would be the King James Bible. It is the world’s bestselling book ever…It made a tremendous impact on Western civilization.”

Ironically, King James I set out to publish a new translation of the Bible—in order to dethrone the Geneva Bible which was popular with the Puritans and other dissidents.

But the king did an excellent job in producing this book. There were six different translation groups, two from Westminster Abbey, two from Oxford, and two groups from Cambridge. And they were assigned different parts of the Bible to translate into English.

They ended up producing the greatest masterpiece in the English language.

Indeed, to this day many common idioms and phrases in the English language get back to the King James Version of the Bible. Such as:

“Let there be light,”
“The golden calf,”
“Chariots of fire,”
“Seek and ye shall find,”
“The straight and narrow,”
“The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak,”
“All things to all men,”
“The blind leading the blind,”
“The keys of the kingdom,”
“Love thy neighbor as yourself.”

And so on.

Several years ago, the leading book promoting atheism by a prominent skeptic was Richard Dawkins’ The God Delusion (2006). The retired Oxford professor doesn’t believe the Bible is the Word of God because he doesn’t believe there is a God. But he nevertheless says you are culturally illiterate if you don’t know the Bible.

Dawkins writes, “The King James Bible of 1611—the Authorized Version—includes passages of outstanding literary merit in its own right, for example the Song of Songs, and the sublime Ecclesiastes (which I am told is pretty good in the original Hebrew too). But the main reason the English Bible needs to be part of our education is that is a major source book for literary culture.”

Dawkins goes on to cite scores and scores of phrases from the Bible, similar to the examples I listed above, that are common everyday idioms that come from the KJV.

This does not mean he in any way respects the Bible as holy writ. He wrote: “We can give up belief in God while not losing touch with a treasured heritage.” Obviously, I don’t agree with him. But I mention it to say that even atheists can appreciate the Bible as literature and even view it as “a treasured heritage.”

In the aforementioned television special on the impact of the KJV, Tim Goeglein of Focus on the Family commented, “I think it’s fair to say that without the King James Version of the Bible, the Book of Common Prayer, the cadence, the language, the beauty, we would never really understand the creation of America and the political rhetoric and oratory and life of our great nation.”

The Bible as literature and the Bible as history should have a renewed place in our schools. Back when it was the chief textbook in one way or another, literacy was widespread.

As author and former Yale professor William Lyons Phelps observed: “Our civilization is founded upon the Bible. More of our ideas, our wisdom, our philosophy, our literature, our art, our ideals come from the Bible than from all other books combined.”

‘Anything But Peaceful’: Dozens Arrested After Anti-Israel Protesters Riot During Second Night Of DNC

CHICAGO — Police arrested numerous pro-Palestinian protesters Tuesday night outside of the Israel consulate in Chicago as the un-sanctioned demonstration turned chaotic.

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in front of the Israel consulate in Chicago on the second night of the Democratic National Convention, voicing their opposition to Israel’s war with Hamas. The Daily Caller News Foundation was on the scene as rioters clashed with the Chicago Police Department, resulting in numerous arrests and other clashes with pro-Israel counter-protesters.

The National Lawyers Guild Chicago claims at least 72 individuals were arrested Tuesday night and taken to the 19th Police District, according to ABC7.

The Chicago Police Department attempted to keep the protest, which did not have a permit to demonstrate, contained with hundreds of cops armed with shields, batons and other riot gear, separating them from pro-Israel counter protesters who arrived on scene later on.

Media were also ordered to separate from the demonstration.

However, pro-Palestinian demonstrators marched onward and many were able to break through police lines. They openly clashed with police who were ordering them to maintain order.

“We are appalled to see violence during the protest in front of our offices,” the Consulate General of Israel said in a statement following the riot, ABC7 reported. “This is anything but peaceful and completely contradictory to the spirit of the DNC.”

“This vocal minority does not represent the vast bipartisan majority of Americans who stand strong in support of Israel,” the consulate statement continued. “It was incredibly heartwarming to see many Americans countering this hate in front of our office, echoing the strong bond between America and Israel.

The demonstration on Tuesday marked the second day of rioting in as many days for the Democratic National Convention (DNC). Many protesters on Monday broke through a barricade in an attempt to get closer to the United Center, where the DNC is taking place.

Protesters in Chicago who oppose Israel’s war against Hamas have been voicing their disgust with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, with many signs accusing the two of being complicit in “genocide.”

More protests are expected this week as the DNC continues.

The Self-Alienation of Cultural Marxism

Msgr. Robert J. Batule: As students head back to school this week, chances are good that campus unrest will also be returning. A reality check is in order.

As students are returning to school this week, chances are very good that campus unrest will return as well with the new academic year. And given the presidential election, the national media – television especially – will bring enormous attention, once again, to the grievances of a class of people that we should call cultural Marxists, whose ideas on alienation harken back to the class antagonism of Europe in the nineteenth century.

But first, who are the cultural Marxists? Let’s start with who they are not.

Historically, Marxism has had a closer association with the economic sphere than with the cultural sphere. Beginning with Marx and Engels, it was heavily focused on the conflict between capital and labor. That conflict would lead inevitably, the Marxists claimed, to the ruination of the worker, for it exploited him and thereby produced in him a deep-seated alienation. (Historically, that proved false.) There is always an alienation, say, from the means of production according to the Marxist analysis, but what about other kinds of alienation?

To mark one hundred years of modern Catholic social teaching, Pope John Paul II wrote Centesimus Annus (1991). A signal achievement of the encyclical is the attention the pontiff gives to culture. He considers culture under the heading of “other spheres of responsibility.” First among these, he writes, is the rule of law and not the arbitrary will of individuals. Included too are structures of participation and shared responsibility. And not to be overlooked is a respect for freedom, especially religious freedom. Neither can there be a disregard of the family and other intermediate communities when it comes to a proper understanding of culture.

Marxism is deeply cynical about human nature’s capacity to experience conflict and still avoid social dissolution. Think about it this way: We have been made for community – all kinds of communities. Beginning with the largest one first – the community of humanity (the human race, as we often say), we also have communities within the nation-state, the town or neighborhood, and, most importantly, within the family through marriage and children. With obviously varying degrees of intimacy and trust in these communities then, we are still going to have disagreements and conflicts.

At the first signs of trouble though, most of us, especially those of us who have drunk deeply from Christian sources, don’t cut and run. We remain engaged because we have already anticipated the conflicts – they’re evident in the first pages of Genesis – and have been given remedies for resolving them. Some of our remedies can – frankly – be awkward, and not all of them lead smoothly to neat and compact resolution. But having them as we do, they reinforce the counsel contained in Centesimus Annus – that totalitarian solutions are simply incompatible with self-governance. We never suppress freedom in a vain attempt to quell the opposition.

Silencing the opposition is what the cultural Marxists prefer to do these days. In many events on college campuses over the last several years, speakers were routinely shouted down and prevented from making their positions known in what ought to have been a free exchange of ideas. It is precisely the opposite of what Pope St. John Paul II says in Centesimus Annus about the human need for structures of participation and shared responsibility. Unfortunately, the absence of participation and responsibility has quickly become the norm on a lot of college campuses.

Fences make good neighbors. But the encampments that popped up on campus after campus earlier this year are self-encapsulating zones of non-participation. The students and the agitators who set up the tents bask in their self-alienation. And they go unchallenged unless rightful authorities – in this case, the presidents of the universities – display the necessary courage to order the removal of the encampments. We may hope that, just maybe, such measures could cause students and the agitators to start to re-think their self-exile.

That few college presidents have been willing to take strong action – and several at our most prestigious universities have been forced out as a result – is no small part of the problem.

The insularity of today’s cultural Marxism is not really in doubt. It’s a further confirmation of John Paul II’s verdict in Centesimus Annus that socialism has failed. But socialism, like all human delusions, is not dead, despite its dismal historical record. It has only reinvented itself in new guises. It still manages, for example, to command the attention of billionaires like George Soros who spreads his wealth around to influence the outcomes of local District Attorney races around the United States.

It’s no wonder that, in these jurisdictions, the cultural Marxists rarely even get a proverbial “slap on the wrist” for destruction of property, occupation of buildings, and disruption of lawful activities. The travesty of injustice in these cases only highlights the weakening of democracy in many places today.

It is also best not to mislabel alienation, thinking, for instance, that many adults today are merely confused intellectually when in fact they are deeply estranged from God, themselves, and others. A reality check is in order. Better to have that reality check sooner rather than later.
