Among those who made such declarations were Bruce Springsteen, Cher, Samuel L. Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg, George Lopez, Miley Cyrus, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Amy Schumer, and Lena Dunham. Barbra Streisand even mentioned moving to Australia or Canada.

Despite their promises, none of these celebrities followed through.

The internet has a long memory, and many social media users are reveling in calling them out for their unkept vows. Cher, for instance, once claimed she “almost got an ulcer” when Trump was first elected in 2016, according to Breitbart News.

Sharon Stone and America Ferrera also hinted at relocating to Europe if Trump won again in November. One creative fan even developed an app to track who has stayed true to their word.

As the New York Post highlighted, many are eager to hold these Hollywood figures accountable for their past statements about leaving the U.S. if Trump returned to power.
