What is a Conservative and What are Conservative Responsibilities?

Yes, certainly God, Family, and Country are at the forefront of our Judeo-Christian values as we strive to hold to our legacy as provided us by God and as enshrined in our Constitution by our “Founding Fathers.” Yet, is it not enough to simply know of our Constitution and then not practice its meaning. Do we understand the crucial information and guidance our Constitution provides our great Nation and ourselves as we strive for our continued pursuit of “Life, Liberty, and Happiness?

Is knowing our Constitution simply enough to save our country from the downward spiral of morals and ethics we continue to witness year after year?

There is no doubt that we, as a country and as individuals, are standing on the precipice of complete moral decay. Irrespective of the recent election mandate bestowed on our 47th President, Donald Trump, we are witnessing continual judicial advocation from the bench from those who have set themselves above the Law rather than following the Rule of Law. Increasingly, we see an assault against our God-given rights. Unfortunately, lawlessness is becoming increasingly normal.

Rather than abiding by the Rule of Law, we see many of our elected officials, at all levels of government, continue to purposefully distort our Constitution for their own gain or that of their chosen Party. To what end, you may ask? Perhaps, to completely dismantle our free and sovereign society and to take away the will of “We the People.”

In our highly charged political circles, I ask the question: Have we become so polarized as individuals as well as a society in general that we are becoming too intolerant of others, even our close friends and family members simply because someone may have a favored candidate over someone else’s favored candidate or a differing opinion?  The answer is yes. Unfortunately for some, complacency or not wishing to hurt someone else’s feelings for fear of speaking truth to power, has only helped to fuel the louder voices of opposition, for the most part from those less educated which only helps to raise their level if intolerance for any view point other than their own.

One of the greatest gifts God has given us is the ability to exercise free will. As individuals, we may not always agree with everyone we associate with. Yet, at the end of the day, as an unapologetic Conservative, I believe we must unite to reach our mutual goal, which is to safeguard our Constitution, the Rule of Law, and secure our God given rights and understand and preserve the sanctity of family and country.

When we allow ourselves to be shouted down and we acquiesce to others demanding our silence, we have betrayed our most important conservative values as enshrined in our Constitution, always speaking truth to power. Additionally, and equally as important, we are also silencing the word of God as enshrined in the Ten Commandments, the basis of our Judeo-Christian beliefs and of significant importance to the founding of our great nation.

Let us explore two simple yet imperative ideals from the Ten Commandments: Exodus 20:15: “You shall not steal.” Unfortunately, we find more elected politicians, judges, and unelected bureaucrats stealing our rights and our pursuit of happiness in the name of a false ideology and their transgressions away from science, the rule of law, and their false narratives and ideology. For them, those individuals who have worked hard to achieve should be forced to pass along their personal wealth and success to those who have chosen a life of entitlement, and this, in some way, will make for a much better all-inclusive society. History has proven time after time that this false narrative has never succeeded. Yet lie, cheat, and steal, they do. I have not even addressed the simple issue of the stealing of personal or private property as committed by those in pursuit of criminal endeavors, yet they are never held accountable.

Let us also look at Exodus 20:15: “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.” This commandment forbids bribery and forgery and even the least suggestions of any information contrary to the truth and calls for the truth and nothing but the truth. Undoubtedly, those with a false ideology have lied to us and will continue to do so. In case you have forgotten, here are just a few of those lies: The COVID-19 vaccine is safe. Our borders are secure. Crime is at an all-time low. Our elections are the safest and most secure ever. And of course, boys can be girls and even give birth. Unfortunately, these lies and misrepresentations do not seem to stop. In fact, those with this false ideology of being “WOKE” are only doubling down. Just look at the recent fraud they perpetrate to keep adult males playing women’s sports and forcing our daughters, our granddaughters, and yes even our wives and girlfriends to be forced to endure adult males invading bathrooms, locker rooms, and showers, all private spaces for females. A special thank you to our Arizona senators for your continued support and protection of women and girls’ sports. NOT!

Even recently here in Arizona, our State Senator Mr. Mesnard claims that giving schoolteachers a $4,000.00 salary raise will help improve teachers’ quality and student scores. Really? Since when has financially rewarding deficient performance with more money ever changed an outcome for the better? In my opinion, it is our politicians and our over-bloated bureaucracies who themselves are the cause of our failing education system as well as an attempt in their desire to hasten the demise of our country. (I have reached out to Senator Mesnards office on several occasions regarding Proposition 123, and as of the writing of this article, I have never received a response).

Being a Conservative is more important to me than simply being a Republican. Far too many so-called Republicans are not conservative. There is an adage: Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. Therefore, we must recognize exactly who our enemy is.

So again, I ask, what is a Conservative? To me, it means staying true to our Constitution and our Ten Commandments, the word of God. We must understand the importance they both play in our everyday lives. We are human, and we will make mistakes, yet we must never lose our faith.

What are the Conservative responsibilities? To always speak Truth to Power. To educate our youth and all future generations on the greatness of our country and to help shine the light on those who betray “We the People.” Lastly, we need to be confident and united in our ability and insistence to not be silenced. We must speak out in a united voice and stand strong for what we true Conservatives believe in: God, family, and country.
