Saturday marks the start of the second year of pro-freedom protests inside Iran. Remember, this latest wave of protests began with the brutal murder of a young Kurdish activist, Mahsa Amini, while in custody in a regime jail for violating the “hijab” rules.

She wouldn’t wear the Mark of the Beast, and was jailed and murdered as a result. That should be a warning to us all.

The Iran-regime apologists here in the United States – starting with apologist-and-ransom-payer-in-chief Joe Biden – pretend that the protests have wound down, the regime crackdown is insignificant, and besides we have “white supremacists” in this country who should be jailed, too. And, of course, that “climate change” is a greater threat than global nuclear war.

In so many ways, we are living in an alternate universe.

Think about the attitude of Little Rocket Man just three years ago. He was still high on meeting Donald Trump. He hadn’t launched a missile or tested a nuke since Trump’s initial outreach to him in April 2018.

Now he has jumped into his armored train to make the two-day journey to meet with Putin in the Russian Far East, where they discussed expanding military cooperation.

We now know that Russia provided North Korea with the technology it needed to launch its first ballistic-missile submarine recently, a copy of the Russian Romeo-class.

What else will Putin agree to provide Little Rocket Man? Blueprints for miniaturized nuclear weapons? Even more ballistic missile technology? Putin’s needs are more simple: enormous quantities of 130 and 152 mm artillery munitions. Such a deal!

The State Department called their expanding cooperation “quite troubling.” Gee, what a powerful statement.

Zelenskyy is coming to Washington during the United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York, where he is sure to bang his tin cup for more U.S. taxpayer dollars. Speaker McCarthy has reacted cautiously to those demands – and his caucus is furious that he might even consider them, knowing that Senators Mitch McConnell and Lindsay Graham will be pressuring him to cave.

Two items of good news this week: The G-20 announced support for an Indian-Middle East Corridor of railroads and roads, to bring India’s exports directly to Europe and the Middle East, including Israel. Saudi Arabia and the Emirates signed on, another indicator that they want to expand economic relations with Israel. The odd man out was Turkey. That’s a triple win in my book.

The other was Mossad Director David Barnea’s explicit threat to the Iranian regime. At a security conference in Israel this week, he revealed that the Mossad had thrwarted 27 assassination attempts against Jews and Israelis over the past year, capturing a number of the Iranian hit teams. He warned to take the battle against the masterminds behind these attacks to the streets of Tehran.
