The Capital Research Center (CRC) did an analysis of those state attorneys funded by George Soros. In a January 18th, 2022 article titled “Living Room Pundit’s Guide to Soros District AttorneysParker Thayer wrote about Monique H. Worrell as Florida State Attorney in the Ninth Judicial Circuit.

Florida’s About Your State Attorney website has this biography on Monique H. Worrell,

Monique H. Worrell

State Attorney Ninth Judicial Circuit

Monique H. Worrell is the State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court for the State of Florida. She was elected in November of 2020 and serves as the chief prosecutor.  Monique is the second African American elected as State Attorney, and the first of Caribbean descent! Monique made Central Florida her home in 1996. After receiving her law degree from the University of Florida in 1999, she began her career as a Public Defender in Orange County, Florida. She then went on to private practice where she continued to focus on Criminal Justice.

Monique later became a clinical law professor at the University of Florida College of Law, where she trained law students who aspired to practice criminal law. Because of her passion for keeping youth out of the criminal justice system, Monique developed and implemented the Your Future, Your Choice program to teach youth their rights and responsibilities as citizens.

Monique became a founding director of the University’s Criminal Justice Center and developed a rigorous program that has produced many criminal law practitioners across the state of Florida.

Monique left the University of Florida to become the founding director of the Conviction Integrity Unit in the State Attorney’s Office in Orange County, Florida, where she led the investigation of claims for wrongful conviction.  It was that experience that made her realize that change in the criminal legal system was critical and must come from within.

Monique is an accomplished criminal justice attorney, with experience as a leader, advocate, educator, and administrator. Prior to being elected as State Attorney, she served as Chief Legal Officer at a non-profit organization focused on criminal justice reform.

Monique was elected to bring reform to a criminal legal system that is fundamentally flawed, in order to achieve equity and to move our system towards justice.

Florida Democrat Senator Randolph Bracey (District 11) introduced bill SB 260 during the 2020 session. According to the ACLU SB 260 if passed would be, “Requiring the state attorney of each judicial circuit to establish a conviction integrity review unit and an independent review panel within the state attorney’s office.”

A Conviction Integrity Unit (CIU) is a division of a prosecutorial office that works to prevent, identify, and remedy false convictions. They are sometimes called Conviction Review Units (CRUs).

Thayer reported:

Monique Worrell—Ninth Judicial Circuit (Orange and Osceola Counties), Florida.

Monique Worrell is the second Soros candidate to become state attorney for Orange and Osceola Counties. Her predecessor, Aramis Ayala, was a “long-shot candidate” elected in 2016 with the help of more than $1.3 million in spending by the Florida Safety and Justice PAC. Ayala immediately earned a reputation for her activist approach, which led to her removal from multiple high-profile murder cases by two different Republican governors. During Ayala’s tenure, violent crime increased dramatically, with murders increasing by 26 percent during 2020.

After Ayala left office to run for Congress, Worrell filled her shoes, with $1 million from Soros’s Democracy PAC surging into the race at the last minute to help her claim victory against her moderate opponent in 2020.

Darius Pattillo—Henry County, Georgia. Receiving just under $150,000 from Soros through the Georgia Safety and Justice PAC, Patello was elected in 2016 and has remained the most unremarkable Soros-backed DA elected to date. In fact, Soros’s funding of Patello nearly went unreported, possibly because Patello does not seem to share the radical views of his fellow Soros DAs.

The Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund’s “Justice For Sale Report” reveals how the left put pro-Black Lives Matter district attorneys and state attorneys in power across the country to let criminals off the hook and endanger communities in the name of “racial justice”

According to the Justice For Sale Report:

The U.S. currently has 75 George Soros-backed prosecutors overseeing half of America’s 50 most populous cities, according to a new report from the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund (LELDF).

Traditionally, elections for district attorney have been quiet affairs,” reads LELDF’s report. “That changed recently as millions of campaign dollars have flowed into these down ballot contests.

FINDINGS:

• The US currently has at least 75 Soros-Backed social justice prosecutors, supported through campaign dollars and/or Soros-funded progressive infrastructure groups.

•
These 75 prosecutors represent more than1 in 5 Americans or more than 72 million people, including half of America’s 50 most populous cities and counties.

•
From 2018 to 2021, Soros spent$13 million on just 10 prosecutors’ raceswhere his organizations were by far the biggest spender in the race and comprised the majority of the progressive candidate’s campaign spending – as much as 90% in some cases.

•
To date, Soros has spent more than$40 million on direct campaign spending over the past decade to elect prosecutors.

•
Soros uses a series of shell organizations, affiliates, and pass-through committees to steer contributions to both candidates and his robust support network for progressive prosecutors, which provide gravitas and

perks to preferred prosecutors.
