Breitbart News reports that election denier Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) appears to be the front-runner to replace Rep. Nancy Pelosi (R-CA) as House Democrat leader.

As a lawyer from central Brooklyn, Jeffries is a self-described far-left Democrat who appears to be angling behind the scenes to win the Democrat House leadership position. He first assumed office in 2013 and has served as the chair of the House Democrat Caucus since 2019.

Jeffries’ presumable succession is notable because Democrats and the establishment have continually labeled some Republican politicians as election deniers. Jeffries himself has denied the outcome of the 2016 election. In 2020, Jeffries tweeted that former President Trump “will never” be accepted “as a legitimate President.”

“Keep pouting. History will never accept you as a legitimate President,” he tweeted at Trump.

He again tweeted in 2020, “let’s be clear donald. The only person trying to steal the election is YOU. (and your buddies in the Kremlin),” citing a debunked claim that Trump won in 2016 due to Russian election interference.

“The more we learn about 2016 election the more ILLEGITIMATE it becomes. America deserves to know whether we have a FAKE President in the Oval Office #RussianInterference,” Jeffries tweeted in 2018:

Again in 2018, Jeffries claimed two Supreme Court seats were stolen because of Trump’s presidency, in which he nominated Supreme Court justices.

“LIE (more than any administration in the history of the Republic.) CHEAT (2016 election/Russian Interference). STEAL (one or two Supreme Court seats). When will Republicans put country ahead of party? #CleanUpCorruption,” he tweeted.

The hypocritical Jeffries is a radical, race-mongering, anti-Trump hysteric. If he succeeds Pelosi as House Speaker, the political division in this country will only deepen and worsen.

In a January 28, 2021 interview with MSNBC, Jeffries characterized supporters of former President Trump as “domestic terrorists and the white supremacists.” Asked “what happens if there’s no accountability for him or the rioters” who had occupied the Capitol on January 6, the congressman replied: “[P]art of the lesson of the first impeachment trial for him was that he could shoot holes in the Constitution on Pennsylvania Avenue and get away with it because Senate Republicans were prepared to bury their heads in the sand…. [E]very available option to hold him accountable for his actions should be undertaken…. And we’re not going to be cowed by the domestic terrorists and the white supremacists and the enemy combatants who want to stop us in our tracks. That would be giving in to them, and that’s not going to happen.”
