The Biden Administration’s Parole Abuse Amounts to a Parallel Immigration System

Every administration comes to office vowing to be the “most transparent in history,” only to be more opaque than the previous one. The Biden administration is certainly carrying on that tradition, nowhere more so than in providing information about its handling of immigration matters.

From Day One, this administration has done its best to hide the true scope of illegal immigration from the American public. One of the ways they have gone about this is to expand the use of the Executive Branch’s parole authority on an unprecedented scale. Those who want to know how many inadmissible foreign nationals have been paroled into the country have to sift through mountains of carefully hidden data. Over the summer, those numbers began to be revealed.

In July, CBS News reported that since President Biden came to office, more than 541,000 otherwise inadmissible aliens had entered the country under parole. That is an astounding number, given that the statutory language granting the Executive Branch such authority. Section 212(d)(5)(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act states that the secretary of Homeland Security “may … in his discretion parole into the United States temporarily under such conditions as he may prescribe only on a case-by-case basis [emphasis added] for urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit any alien applying for admission to the United States, but such parole of such alien shall not be regarded as an admission of the alien and when the purposes of such parole shall, in the opinion of the [DHS secretary] have been served the alien” must leave the country. Based on the language of the statute, the number of people qualifying for parole would be a lot closer to 541 than 541,000.

But as jaw-dropping as the CBS estimate of parolees is, Andrew Arthur of the Center for Immigration Studies contends that the actual number of people granted parole under the Biden administration is nearly 1.44 million! In addition to the administration’s wholesale abuse of parole based on specific countries of origin or the use of CBP One phone app, the administration has been quietly handing out parole to large numbers of migrants encountered entering the country between ports of entry, i.e. illegal border-crossers. Arthur estimates that as of June 2023, an additional 896,000 inadmissible foreign nationals had been paroled into the United States during the first two and a half years of the Biden administration. Moreover, the administration is attempting to further expand the list of nationalities eligible for special parole programs as well as increasing the use of the CBP One app.

Put in perspective, the number of people allowed to enter under the Executive Branch’s very limited parole authority exceeds the population of Dallas, Texas – the nation’s ninth largest city. It is also beginning to rival the number of people who are issued green cards each year under our statutorily established immigration laws. In other words, the Biden administration is abusing its parole authority to create a parallel immigration system without any legal authority to do so. The Constitution vests Congress with plenary authority to establish immigration laws – a power that has been repeatedly affirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court.

FAIR’s president, Dan Stein, has repeatedly charged that the current administration is acting lawlessly, and its assertion of limitless discretionary authority to allow as many people as it wants to settle in the United States is a threat not only to the well-being of the American people, but to our constitutional system of government.

As Fentanyl Overdoses Rise, a Child in New York Dies of Exposure

Records concerning the fentanyl epidemic started being kept in 2020, and the latest numbers show that the issue is getting worse. According to Breitbart, August marked a new record of overdose deaths in San Francisco, with approximately three deaths per day due to fentanyl. As reported by The San Fransisco Chronicle, the city “is on track to see 845 overdose fatalities this year.”

London Breed, the mayor of San Francisco, declared the fentanyl crisis a “state of emergency” in 2020, and since then the problem has continued to worsen across the U.S. This week, in an at-home day care in New York City, a one-year-old boy, Nicholas Dominici, died due to drug exposure, with three other children hospitalized. While the tragedy is still under investigation, the presence of fentanyl has been confirmed. Grei Mendez and Acevedo Brito, the owner and tenant of the day care where the deaths took place, have been charged for murder, manslaughter, and assault and “ordered to be held without bail.”

Ashwin Vasan, the City Health Commissioner, said in a news conference, “I’m very sorry, but one of the things that my child care inspectors are not trained to do is look for fentanyl. But maybe we need to.” Otoniel Feliz, the father of Nicholas Dominici, shared, “In what mind does it make sense that you’re going to mix narcotics with children?”

In 2021, the U.S. witnessed more than 100,000 people across the nation being killed by drug overdose — the highest it had ever been in a single year. According to BBC News, over 66% of those deaths were directly related to fentanyl. As reported by BBC, a recent study revealed “virtually every corner of the US, from Hawaii to Alaska to Rhode Island, has been touched by fentanyl.” Experts say nearly “300 individuals a day [are] dying from overdose, and almost all of those are fentanyl related.”

Joseph Backholm, senior fellow for Biblical Worldview and Strategic Engagement at Family Research Council, commented to The Washington Stand, “Certainly the consequences of sin have often lead people to medicate their pain through drug use. That’s not a new phenomenon, but it is evidence of sin.”

He continued, “The problem with fentanyl is that it’s killing people who aren’t trying to use it, like the children in New York.” For Backholm, this tragedy can be traced back to homeland security issues. “We have a completely open southern border,” he said. “Virtually anyone from anywhere can walk across the border into the U.S. … [It] is killing a lot of Americans and enriching cartels who are able to benefit tremendously from the human and drug trafficking opportunities it provides.”

In a reflection on how to respond to the fentanyl crisis earlier this year, The Christian Post’s Matthew Barnett wrote, “Light shines brighter when darkness hovers. We can see farther at night, out into the expanse of stars surrounding us than we can during the day. These truths remind us that we must hold onto hope during [the] fentanyl crisis.”

Washington, D.C. The following statement was issued by Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), commending House Republicans for including needed reforms to end the Biden Border Crisis in a Continuing Resolution:

“Over the weekend, House Republicans took the much-needed step of ensuring that our dangerously insecure borders are closed as part of any spending deal to fund the government. The House-drafted Continuing Resolution (CR) that would fund the federal government beyond September 30 includes nearly all of H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act. In addition to funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the inclusion of key provisions of H.R. 2 requires that DHS invest in physical barriers, personnel and technology to secure the border.

“As the Biden Border Crisis, and its impact on communities all across the United States, grows worse by the day, it is critical that the full House pass the CR with these border security provisions intact and hold the line when a final deal is hammered out with the leadership of the Democratic controlled Senate.

“Securing the border is a fiscal issue. The unprecedented and unceasing influx of illegal aliens triggered by Biden administration policies affect the budgets of countless federal agencies that process, feed, shelter, educate, and provide medical care to the illegal migrants. The Biden Border Crisis is also wreaking havoc on state and local governments that are coping with influxes that, in the words of New York City Mayor Eric Adams, threaten to ‘destroy’ their communities.

“Congress cannot hand the Biden administration a blank check that allows them to continue subverting our immigration laws and endangering national security. House Republicans took the necessary step of making sure that the government has the funds it needs to operate, but not carte blanche to carry out the Biden administration’s dangerous, destructive and illegal dismantling of border and immigration enforcement.”

The Roosevelt Hotel claims that it’s the place “where classic elegance meets contemporary luxury”. Classic elegance and luxury at the midtown Manhattan hotel looks like busloads of migrant invaders arriving and camping outside the golden doors. The scene is no better inside where 41 migrants have been arrested for beating wives, girlfriends and significant others.

There have also been assaults on employees and an arrest for child endangerment.

While the Roosevelt Hotel may have an old name, Mayor Eric Adams and New York City actually leased it from Pakistan for $220 million. That amounts to paying $210 per room for each night that an illegal alien invader uses it to smoke meth or abuse their wives and daughters.

The Roosevelt Hotel was named after Teddy. You can imagine what he would have done if thousands of foreigners had invaded a hotel and turned it into a drug den on his watch.

In a city where a quarter of young children live in poverty, that $220 million could probably be put to better use than paying the Islamic terror state linked to the September 11 attacks on New York City for the privilege of housing the hordes of invaders in “contemporary luxury”.

Mayor Adams has already jettisoned his promise of universal day care to care for the migrants.

Inside the Roosevelt from the gilt sign at the entrance to the art deco halls has been tarnished. Migrants squat under the massive crystal chandelier in the ballroom and sleep on the red carpet. Despite supposedly being poor and desperate, many are swiping and clicking through their smartphone apps while they wait for their next taxpayer-funded benefit to arrive.

Once the setting for movies like Wall Street and The French Connection, the storied hotel is now home to another kind of corrupt crime story. The black marble pillars and spacious rooms have been fully occupied by an endless invading army that continues to stream across the border. The smells and the level of filth are reflective of the three remaining working showers.

The massive influx of migrants has made the area near Grand Central Station as unsafe as it was in the 1970s. Despite the hotel being supposedly reserved for families, Central American and African male migrants in their twenties wearing blue surgical masks that cover most of their faces swarm the area and move in packs at night around nervous tourists and local businesses.

The fame of the Roosevelt Hotel appears to have traveled along the migrant pipeline and male migrants have fought, sometimes violently, to stay there instead of being relocated to homeless shelters. Local businesses, already battered by the pandemic, have been hit hard by the crisis.

The cost of housing the invaders is being paid to the Pakistani government. Even though

Pakistan International Airlines, under the control of the terror state’s government, was barred from flying directly to the United States after 9/11, it was allowed to take over the hotel and run it into the ground. The Biden administration has since allowed PIA to resume direct flights.

The Pakistani government harbored Osama bin Laden. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had initiated negotiations with Al Qaeda and offered to “reestablish normal relations.” Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, nicknamed ‘Taliban Khan’, had called Bin Laden a “martyr”.

Now New Yorkers are stuck paying hundreds of millions of dollars to an Islamic terror state tied to the attacks that killed so many fellow residents and citizens to provide luxury housing for the latest wave of the invaders. Osama bin Laden would be proud of what is happening here.

Beyond Pakistan, other foreign business interests are also benefiting from the foreign invasion.

Chinese developer Jubao Xie, who put up the world’s tallest Holiday Inn in Manhattan, got $190 a night, $93,000 a day and $2.8 million a month to house the invaders. The skyscraper hotel, a bafflingly ugly eyesore, was in trouble before the migrant bailout was approved by a bankruptcy judge. A number of other foreign owned hotels are also benefiting from the arrangement.

The use of high-end hotels to house the illegal invaders has not only wrecked classic storied hotels like the Roosevelt or the Paramount, but it has also ruined the surrounding areas that the Giuliani administration had struggled to drag away from the blight that had overtaken Midtown.

Where tourists are supposed to arrive by train, take in Broadway shows and go to a nice restaurant afterward, the streets swarm with migrant thieves, beggars and madmen.

Row Hotel, a classic Times Square hotel that promises “comfort and security while away from home” turned into another migrant hellhole. That’s where Daniel Hernandez Martinez, a migrant who was arrested six times for five assaults in two months, attacked a man with a bike tire.

Martinez was responsible for a one-man crime wave in the Times Square area. The criminal migrant was apparently staying in a $500 a night hotel which a former worker described as a

‘free for all’ of drugs, sex and violence where the rooms have been trashed and defiled.

Messages at the formerly stylish hotel described everything from a 10-year-old girl drunk alone in the room to an intruder carrying a machete. “Every day, we find about ten kids alone in their hotel rooms, either drinking or doing drugs. Weapons will be in the room,” a worker described.

And while America’s enemies are laughing and profiting, we are doing this to ourselves.

Open borders is only half the story. At a local level, the other half of the story is the ‘right to shelter’ regulations like those in New York City and other epicenters of the migrant invasion that guarantee everyone a room regardless of how illegal, violent or diseased they may be.

The homeless industrial complex claimed that the only reason junkies were wandering the streets was that an unfair capitalist system had deprived them of affordable housing. They invented a ‘right to shelter’ and radical leftist politicians who came to power implemented it.

A decade ago, I wrote about the rise of “homeless by choice” in which migrants, tourists and traveling junkies showed up in New York City to claim their “three meals a day, a microwave oven, TV, free laundry, free Internet, free health care and a prepaid cell phone with 300 minutes a month.”

And I warned that it would end badly. Now instead of a few thousand junkies, there are tens of thousands of migrants. And they’re just the beginning. Each of them also wants their free phones, health care, meals and everything else they think that they’re entitled to.

Including a stay in a luxury hotel.

Back then, one in four homeless in New York listed addresses outside the city. Today it’s probably the vast majority. There’s no longer even the pretense of a homeless problem.

New York City’s homeless problem just consists of people from other countries showing up in the city and demanding a room at the Roosevelt, the Row or the Paramount. Why be a sucker and pay $300 bucks for a hotel when you can just arrive as a refugee and demand a free room.

The taxpayers will pay for it and hand over the cash to Pakistan to finance more terrorism.

Angry New Yorkers shouted down Democratic New York Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jerry Nadler during a presser on the city’s migrant crisis Friday.

Footage shows the angry crowd chanting and yelling behind Nadler as he told the crowd how immigration “makes America strong.” The residents held signs protesting against illegal immigration and even flipped them off.

“This is America,” one protester aggressively yelled.

Another man standing behind him can be seen flipping off with both of his hands.

The press conference was held by elected New York Democrats, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

New York is suffering from a migrant crisis as it has received over 100,000 in the past year. The city has limited resources and shelter to place the migrants, leaving hundreds to sleep on the streets.

The city has spent about $1.5 billion on the migrant crisis and has cut police budget funding to allocate more money toward the migrants, and is projected to spend $12 billion over the course of three years. The city has built large tents and converted public places into shelters intended to house thousands of migrants. As of June, the city has housed more illegal migrants than homeless people.

The migrants have flooded the city in mass numbers under Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s busing program, which has sent thousands of migrants entering Texas to sanctuary cities. Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams warned the crisis will “destroy” the city and criticized President Joe Biden’s administration for not doing enough to handle the crisis.

Chicago Dem’s Panic Over Migrant Crisis

It’s wonderful to see Democrat leaders waking up to REALITY! They’re suffering the inevitable outcome of their sanctuary policy as migrants flood their cities and stress test their failing partisan agenda to build their voter base on the backs of taxpayers and unskilled workers.

Chicago lawmaker leads Democratic rebellion to bring in ICE and stop immigrant surge.

A Democrat in Chicago is leading the effort to deport criminals as the sanctuary city faces growing troubles caring for thousands of illegal immigrants arriving from the southern border.

“This is a moment to restore some sanity and common sense,” Alderman Raymond Lopez, a Democrat, said during a recent phone call with the Washington Examiner. “The Left, the progressives, the socialists act as though everything is just an academic exercise in good government. They don’t realize or appreciate the real-world implications of what they do. Well, the real world has come home to the city of Chicago and the border crisis is in our backyard.”

Lopez, a lifelong Chicagoan, is not the only Democrat who is fed up with the city’s response to 15,000 homeless immigrants who have been dropped into the city over the past year following the federal government’s release of 2 million people from the border.

Lopez is leading a Democratic revolt to bring Immigration and Customs Enforcement back to Chicago, in hopes it will send a message that egregious crimes committed by new and old arrivals will not be tolerated. It’s a rare fight that will pit Democrats against Democrats.

“There are certain things that we absolutely do not find acceptable, and that is the purpose of the amendment,” Lopez said. “When you have individuals who are coming here … only for evil purposes, to be perfectly honest, we shouldn’t protect them. We shouldn’t harbor them. We shouldn’t be a refuge or sanctuary for them.”

At the City Council’s meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 13, Lopez will debut an ordinance that would allow city police to turn over to federal immigration authorities a much broader range of illegal immigrants, rather than releasing them back into the community.

At present, Chicago policy does not allow local police to turn someone in custody over to ICE even if the individual has an outstanding criminal warrant, a felony conviction, or is identified as a known gang member.

Lopez’s ordinance would allow the city’s officers to turn over illegal immigrants to ICE if the person in custody has been arrested or convicted of gang-related crimes, drug-related crimes, prostitution-related crimes, or crimes involving minors.

The ordinance has 20 co-sponsors so far, nearly half of the council’s 50 members. Nineteen of the co-sponsors are Democrats. The council’s sole Republican member is also a co-sponsor. Only a majority, 26 votes, are needed to pass it.

“We’ve got more migrants in police stations than officers with more coming, and the city has handcuffed itself when it comes to combating crime,” Tabares said.

At the massive Chicago O’Hare International Airport outside the city, one area has been transformed into a shelter for immigrants.

“Every week I receive calls asking us to do something about their behavior: The drinking, loitering, drug use, outdoor sex acts,” Lopez said in a written statement shared with the Washington Examiner provided after the interview. “Unfortunately, as the law is written now, all we can do is issue an [administration notice of violation or citation] or hold them in the police district.”

Residents of Chicago are speaking out about the migrant shelters being built in their struggling communities.

The city has spent $110 million responding to the crisis over the past year, but not everyone supports Lopez’s proposal.

“We’re seeing a lot of our progressive partners trying to gaslight my colleagues as to why we should not do this,” Lopez said. “Their argument with this ordinance really puts them behind the eight ball because … you’re embracing both drug dealers, gangbangers, prostitutes, and pedophiles.

Border Patrol has seen 1,000% increases in migrants coming from Afghanistan, China and other countries far from U.S. borders between fiscal year 2022 to fiscal year 2023.

The surges include migrants from Algeria, Djibouti, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Ethiopia, Mauritania, Paraguay and Vietnam, outgoing Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz wrote on Twitter Friday. It has been challenging to deport such migrants, Ortiz said.

“While we work diligently to repatriate migrants from these countries, we still have challenges with countries’ governments to get working programs in place to repatriate all those we apprehended,” Ortiz said.

In fiscal year 2021, Border Patrol recorded 342 encounters with Chinese migrants crossing U.S. borders illegally, which surged to 1,987 in fiscal year 2022. In the first seven months of fiscal year 2023, Border Patrol has already encountered 9,753 Chinese migrants.

“Right now in China there’s extreme pessimism, especially among people in their 20s about the future of their country, so it’s understandable that they’re leaving and they’re trying to get into the United States. And, you know, these are people who are relatively middle class, so it shows you the problems in Chinese society are severe,” China expert Gordon Chang previously told the Daily Caller News Foundation of the surge in Chinese migrants.

Several migrants from Afghanistan traveling to the U.S. via Guatemala previously told the Daily Caller News Foundation that they fled their homes because of the Taliban’s takeover after the withdrawal of American forces.

“My message for the government of USA, please open your doors for us and help us,” one emotional Afghan refugee told the DCNF in Guatemala. “We don’t have a country now. I don’t feel we have a country. When I am from Afghanistan, I feel like this too. I don’t have a country. We are the humans of this world. And we need the help of this world.”

New York City is not handling the influx of illegal immigrants well — and it’s American children who are paying for it.

When the children of NYC went back to school, 21,000 of them were turned away due to the arrival of migrant children.

At a high school in Long Island City, a line to enter stretched around the block.

“But don’t worry, a 15-year-old illegal immigrant from Venezuela said he’s excited for his first day of high school,” Sara Gonzales comments.

“Not so great, though, if you’re a child, an American child, in New York City being displaced by illegals,” she adds.

Eric July notes that most people who believe immigration won’t affect the country don’t realize that yes, America does have a finite amount of space.

“Folks act like this isn’t even a thing, right?” July says. “It’s just, ‘It’s okay, America’s big, has all this land, just bring each and every individual over here. These folks are seeking better lives and that’s it.’”

“But they don’t ever look at the short-term and especially the long-term issues, even cultural issues, cultural conflict, that can and has stemmed from this,” he adds.

John Doyle agrees.

“We don’t need this many people,” Doyle says. “They’re clogging up the housing markets, the highway system.”

“That’s not why we built this country. We didn’t build it for Venezuelans, we built it for Americans. I’m sorry, but like, that just happens to be the case,” he adds.

Gonzales notes that while those who disagree might believe it’s not a compassionate way to look at the situation, they are overlooking those who actually need that compassion who were born and raised in America.

“We’ve got all of these homeless people who are being displaced again in New York City,” she says.

“We’re choosing as a nation to not be compassionate to our own in exchange for being compassionate for citizens of other countries.”

New Labor Stats Show Foreign Workers Gaining Jobs While Native-Born Workers See Decline

The August 2023 Employment Situation survey from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) drew far more media attention than normal for a monthly economic publication, and for good reason. The survey shows that over 1.2 million native-born Americans lost jobs from July to August 2023. However, over the same period, nearly 700,000 new jobs went to foreign-born workers and boosted foreign-born employment to a record high. This dramatic difference is the product of an immigration system that is not delivering for hardworking American citizens, and a closer look at the long-term trend is even more ominous.

Individual months can show huge swings in employment because of factors like seasonal jobs. But this particular divide from July to August may foreshadow more bad news. The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant effect on the job market and caused employment numbers to crash for both native-born American workers and the foreign-born. The highest ever pre-COVID monthly total of American-born workers was recorded in October 2019. In that month, 131.7 million native-born Americans were employed. Economic recovery for American-born workers has been slow, and since the start of the pandemic that total has only been passed twice: in June and July 2023. As it stands right now, native-born Americans have lost a net 700,000 jobs over five years and full recovery, let alone growth, is yet to come.

The opposite is true for foreign-born workers. Their pre-COVID peak came in February 2019, when 27.8 million foreign-born people (legal immigrants and illegal aliens) held jobs. Since then, foreign-born employment has blown past that record and now stands at an unprecedented 30.4 million. In short, the foreign-born have gained 2.6 million jobs since their pre-COVID high, while the native-born have lost 700,000. This means that all post-pandemic job growth, coinciding with the millions of illegal aliens allowed into the country by the Biden administration, has gone to foreign-born workers. This 3.3 million job gap is an unacceptable consequence of lax border enforcement and an administration (and cheap-labor business interests) intent on flooding the market with low-skill illegal aliens to “solve” a labor shortage that does not exist.

Our current immigration policies are not benefitting American-born workers. Millions of American citizens struggle to find jobs while native-born employment has not recovered from COVID-19. However, the Biden administration’s top priority seems to be letting in as much cheap labor as possible. The number of illegal aliens living in the U.S. has grown to record highs thanks to policies that actively encourage them to enter, and many of these illegal aliens exploit backlogs in the system to work legally for years and compete directly with Americans. Meanwhile, some representatives are even proposing legislation that would effectively let any foreign national who shows up at the border and claims asylum to the U.S. with nearly zero barriers.

Mayors from New York City, D.C., Chicago and other blue areas have been wailing that they’re now border states overrun by illegal migrants. So with due deliberation, the Biden administration has decided that it’s going to keep the border open, but make the invaders stay where they’re supposed to implement demographic change and turn a big red state a whole other shade of blue.

Texas has been busing illegal aliens to New York City and other places and while that policy has attracted a lot of attention from both sides, the reality is that the majority of illegal aliens aren’t looking to stay at a Texas bus station. They want to go to the places they’ve heard about, like Manhattan, where they will be put up in luxury hotels.

The Biden administration will move to end the busing, but also stop the illegals from going where they want to.

Biden’s open borders policy has been an endless well of corrupt motives, but this latest one tops everything by essentially banning the invading army from traveling to blue states and ordering it to stay in red border states.

The Biden administration is considering forcing some migrant families who enter the country without authorization to remain near the border in Texas while awaiting asylum screening, effectively limiting their ability to travel within the United States, three U.S. officials told The Times…

Supporters of the remain-in-Texas idea, which has yet to be finalized, hope that it would help the administration advance its goals of quickly deporting families who fail initial asylum screenings and deterring other families from crossing in the first place.

That’s nonsense.

This isn’t about deporting them (with court dates like 2031, they’re not getting deported). Texas is a massive state. If the goal were to keep the invaders local and available for deporting, the Biden administration would set up refugee camps and limit migrants to 10 miles within the border or some similar radius. Traveling around Texas provides the illegals with a massive area bigger than a whole bloc of northeastern states. The illegals will be no easier to retrieve from all across Texas than they would be in the major cities they’re going to. This is about causing pain for political gain and now, that some red states figured out how to spread the pain, protecting blue states from the fallout by making sure that Texas feels as much pain (and demographic change) as possible.

If the families failed their initial screenings, they’d be easier to deport because they’d be close to the border.

An area a quarter of a million square miles in size is not “close to the border”.

For that matter, why not let the illegal aliens also go to California? Surely they could be deported across the California border? Ah, but California is a blue state.

The Biden administration is showing off the intent of its open borders agenda as clearly as possible.

Chicago reporter William Kelly joins ‘Fox & Friends’ to discuss the immigration crisis spreading across the country as more than 400 migrants are being housed at O’Hare International Airport.

Chicago leaders are facing backlash over hundreds of migrants being housed at O’Hare International Airport, one of the nation’s busiest airports.

Chicago reporter William Kelly joined “Fox & Friends” Thursday to discuss what the city has been experiencing as a result of the influx of migrants.

More than 400 migrants are reportedly being housed in a section of the airport, hidden from public view behind black curtains, up from 31 at the beginning of August.

Kelly said the airport is one of only 18 migrant shelters in Chicago and that homeless Americans are no longer allowed to stay at the airport. The city previously struggled with an influx of homeless people at the airport but initiated a crackdown earlier this year after then-Mayor Lori Lightfoot faced criticism.

“Mayor Johnson campaigned as the people’s mayor. Sadly, the people are telling me that he’s the migrants’ mayor,” said Kelly.

Kelly said he does not think the same security and background checks that Americans go through at airports apply to migrants. Meanwhile, the city continues to struggle with crime and to recover from the coronavirus lockdowns.

“There are millions upon millions of dollars being spent on this migrant crisis. Nobody knows where the money is going, or what it’s being spent on.”

Kelly said he has been unable to receive answers from the mayor.

“Sadly, Mayor Johnson must have taken Mayor Lightfoot’s course at Harvard on media relations, because he won’t answer my questions.”

House Committee Says Mayorkas ‘Enriched The Cartels’ After Second Phase Of Republican-Led Investigation

The House Homeland Security Committee released the findings of the second part of their probe Thursday into Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, finding he “enriched the cartels,” according to a copy of the report obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Under Mayorkas’ leadership as DHS secretary, cartels have gained more control over the southern border and smuggled more individuals and contraband across it, according to the report. The first phase of House Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green’s probe focused on Mayorkas’ alleged “dereliction” of his duty as secretary of DHS.

Cartel smuggling of illegal migrants has become a billion-dollar industry as illegal immigration has surged, The New York Times reported in 2022. Border Patrol recorded a record of more than 2.2 million illegal migrant encounters along the southern border in fiscal year 2022, according to federal data.

“Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ open-borders policies have empowered and emboldened some of the most vicious, ruthless, and savage individuals and groups in the world. Whether it is transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) like the cartels and human smuggling organizations in the Western Hemisphere, potential national security threats from countries who sponsor terrorism, or those coming from major state adversaries like China and Russia, the wide-open Southwest border has given America’s enemies all over the globe an opportunity to infiltrate the homeland—an opportunity too good to pass up,” the report stated.

Several House Republicans, including Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Pat Fallon of Texas and Andy Biggs of Arizona, have already filed articles of impeachment against Mayorkas. There is, however, a faction of House Republicans who are going to wait for the conclusion of Green’s investigation before backing impeachment, according to congressional staffers who previously spoke with the DCNF.

Green has also yet to call for Mayorkas’ impeachment.

“We’ve got some people that are sharing some information with us that there’s potential fraud, so we’re going to look very hard at all of these things, prepare a packet, show it to the American people, and then if it warrants impeachment, we’ll hand it off to Chairman Jordan. I think it will, based on the information I know,” Green previously told the DCNF.

DHS believes that the blame lies on Congress, which it urges to pass immigration reform legislation.

“Secretary Mayorkas is proud to advance the noble mission of the Department, support its extraordinary workforce, and serve the American people. The Department will continue to enforce our laws and secure our border, protect the United States from terrorism, and improve our cybersecurity, all while building a safe, orderly, and humane immigration system. Instead of pointing fingers and pursuing baseless attacks, Congress should work with the Department and pass comprehensive legislation to fix our broken immigration system, which has not been updated in decades,” a DHS spokesperson previously told the DCNF regarding Green’s probe.

Mayor Adams Warns That Illegal Immigration ‘Will Destroy’ NYC

During a townhall on the Upper West Side on Wednesday, a visibly frustrated Mayor Eric Adams (D) warned that illegal immigration, at its current pace, “will destroy New York City” and that “every service in this city” will have to be cut and that migrants will “come to your neighborhoods.”

“Let me tell you something New Yorkers: Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don’t see an ending to this. I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City, destroy New York City. We’re getting 10,000 migrants a month,” Adams said:

One time we were just getting Venezuela, now we’re getting Ecuador, now we’re getting Russian-speaking coming through Mexico, now we’re getting Western Africa, now we’re getting people from all over the globe have made their minds up that they’re going to come through the southern part of the border and come into New York City. [Emphasis added]

And everyone is saying, ‘It’s New York City’s problem.’ Every community in this city is going to be impacted. We have a $12 billion deficit that we’re going to have to cut every service in this city is going to be impacted. All of us.

Adams said no New York City neighborhoods, from Staten Island to Queens, will be spared from illegal immigration.

“It’s going to come to your neighborhoods. All of us are going to be impacted by this,” Adams said. “I said it last year when we had 15,000. I’m telling you now with 110,000. The city we knew, we’re about to lose.”

Very true, and whose fault is that? It is the fault of Eric Adams’ party — the pro-crime party of open borders and sanctuary cities, the party that prioritizes illegal aliens over America’s own citizens.

Why Hasn’t Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody Indicted Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. for Child Trafficking?

In April of 2023 Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody released a grand jury report on the Biden administration’s release of hundreds of thousands of unaccompanied minors into the U.S. who were transported to states like Florida. Many of these unaccompanied children have been sold as sex slaves or worse.

The Center Square in an April 3rd, 2023 article by Bethany Blankley titled Florida grand jury report released over investigation into unaccompanied minors released into U.S. by Biden reported,

A statewide grand jury in Florida has released some of the findings of its investigation into the Biden administration’s release of hundreds of thousands of unaccompanied minors into the U.S. who were transported to states like Florida.

The Department of Homeland Security and Department of Health and Human Service’s Office of Refugee Resettlement’s management of unaccompanied children’s release and transport has resulted in “facilitating the forced migration, sale, and abuse of foreign children,” the grand jury found. “This process exposes children to horrifying health conditions, constant criminal threat, labor and sex trafficking, robbery, rape and other experiences not done justice by mere words.”

Attorney General Ashley Moody announced the grand jury’s findings on Thursday and is calling on Congress to investigate and take action.

She said she was “outraged at how the Biden administration and others in authority have encouraged this nightmare through policy and are neglecting hundreds of thousands of children, subjecting them to abuse and sexual assault even after they cross the border. The federal government is knowingly aiding and abetting trafficking organizations and allowing horrific harm to happen to these children. I am calling upon Congress to investigate and consider federal law to stop these misguided programs.”

The Third Presentment of the Twenty-First Statewide Grand Jury Regarding Unaccompanied Alien Children was released, which “outlines horrible atrocities inflicted on immigrant children in Florida and elsewhere who are under the authority of the Biden administration and nonprofit organizations receiving taxpayer money,” Moody said. “Allegations from the presentment include the federal government losing track of more than 20,000 children, no background checks on the minors’ sponsors, human trafficking and child abuse.”

It is now September and no one has yet to be indicted.

It is because AG Moody isn’t finished with the investigation? Then why not keep the people informed because the trafficking of underaged minors continues as shown in the film the Sound of Freedom.

Is AG Moody actually waiting on Congress to take action on this issue and save the lives of these children? To date they have not!

Is it because AG Moody is being held back by Governor Ron DeSantis to protect Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. and his administration?

Is it because AG Moody isn’t really committed to actually indicting those responsible? Seems likely given the time since the initial report.

The Bottom Line

It is past the time for action.

Silence in the face of evil is evil. Not to indict those who are perpetrating this evil is itself evil.

Every minute of every day another underaged child immigrant is sold into the sex trade or worse.

We ask that Govern DeSantis and AG Moody do their duty and indict.

Feds Flagged Nearly 75,000 Illegal Migrants As Potential National Security Risks

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) flagged 74,904 illegal migrants nationwide for potentially posing risks to national security between October 2022 and August, according to CBP data obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Certain illegal migrants are deemed to be “special interest aliens” because they may have travel patterns that “possibly have a nexus to terrorism” or may come from countries with such ties, according to a 2019 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) fact sheet. Border Patrol agents encountered 25,627 “special interest” illegal migrants in fiscal year 2022, compared to 3,675 encounters in fiscal year 2021, according to internal agency data previously obtained by the DCNF; however, this data doesn’t account for all CBP encounters of special interest aliens.

“Generally, an SIA is a non-U.S. person who, based on an analysis of travel patterns, potentially poses a national security risk to the United States or its interests. Often such individuals or groups are employing travel patterns known or evaluated to possibly have a nexus to terrorism. DHS analysis includes an examination of travel patterns, points of origin, and/or travel segments that are tied to current assessments of national and international threat environments,” the DHS definition of special interest aliens states.

“This does not mean that all SIAs are “terrorists,” but rather that the travel and behavior of such individuals indicates a possible nexus to nefarious activity (including terrorism) and, at a minimum, provides indicators that necessitate heightened screening and further investigation,” DHS adds.

Illegal migrants can be deemed special interest aliens based solely on their country of origin, such as Turkey or Uzbekistan, according to an internal Border Patrol document previously obtained by the DCNF.

The FBI is currently searching for a group of more than one dozen Uzbek migrants that federal authorities released into the country after they used an ISIS-tied smuggler to cross the southern border illegally.

Former acting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Mark Morgan told the DCNF it’s alarming that federal authorities chose to release illegal migrants who were known to be special interest aliens.

“So why is it so important to track them down? Because they’re freaking special interest aliens that were smuggled in by somebody with connections to terrorism. Come on, guys. Follow the bouncing ball. I mean, the reason it’s so important is twofold. One, they actually were connected to someone who is connected to a terrorist organization and [two], they’re special interest aliens,” Morgan said.

Special interest aliens are different from illegal migrants whose names appear on the terror watchlist, according to DHS. Individuals whose names appear on the terror watchlist as potential terrorists are “reasonably suspected to be engaging in, has engaged in, or intends to engage in conduct constituting, in preparation for, in aid of, or related to terrorism and/or terrorist activities.”

Deported Eight Times, Migrant Sex Offender with Vast Criminal Record Enters U.S. Again

In a disturbing case that illustrates the gravity of the security lapses along the southwest border, an illegal immigrant sex offender with an extensive criminal record and previously deported eight times was caught entering the country yet again through Mexico. His name is Elvis Cristian Hernandez-Ayala and the U.S. Border Patrol recently caught him trying to bypass a checkpoint in Falfurrias, Texas. Agents arrested the 37-year-old criminal migrant and three others as they walked through a ranch not far from the border.

When Hernandez-Ayala was further vetted authorities confirmed he had been previously removed from the United States eight times following convictions for felony possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated and sexual assault. A few days ago, a Trump appointed federal judge in Texas, David S. Morales, sentenced Hernandez-Ayala to 37 months in federal prison for returning to the U.S. without permission, the Department of Justice (DOJ) revealed in an announcement that says the migrant pleaded guilty. In the document the DOJ writes that Hernandez-Ayala was on supervised release for a prior illegal re-entry conviction and that he also got slapped with a 12-month prison sentence for that violation.

During the criminal migrant’s most recent court hearing, federal prosecutors presented evidence about Hernandez-Ayala’s frequent illegal re-entries and what the DOJ calls a “troubling criminal history,” that includes convictions for sexual assault involving the rape of another illegal alien in a stash house. Hernandez-Ayala is expected to be transferred to a yet to be determined federal prison to serve his sentence. As if it needs to be spelled out, the DOJ writes in its recent announcement that, because Hernandez-Ayala is “not a U.S. citizen, he is expected to face removal proceedings” following his imprisonment. Based on his history and the famously porous southern border, Hernandez-Ayala will likely return.

A growing number of illegal immigrants that enter the U.S. through Mexico have criminal records like Hernandez-Ayala. In fact, in the last few years the figure has surged dramatically. In 2021 the Border Patrol arrested twice as many criminal aliens during a six-month period alone than in all of the previous year. Among them were 982 convicted of possessing illegal drugs or trafficking, 576 convicted of assault, battery, and domestic violence, 832 guilty of driving under the influence, 381 convicted of burglary, robbery, larceny, theft, and fraud, 265 sex offenders and 162 guilty of Illegal weapons possession, transport, and trafficking. The government stats also reveal that thousands of the criminal aliens arrested in the first half of the fiscal year were previously deported after illegal entry or illegal reentry just like Hernandez-Ayala.

A few years earlier, federal authorities disclosed that over 90% of illegal aliens arrested in the U.S. had criminal convictions or pending charges. They included 56,000 assaults and thousands of sex crimes, robberies, homicides and kidnappings. Many had “extensive criminal histories with multiple convictions,” according to a report issued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE). The 123,128 illegal aliens arrested by the agency’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in 2019 had an alarming 489,063 criminal convictions and pending charges, according to agency records. That translates to an average of four crimes per alien, highlighting the “recidivist nature” of the arrested migrants, the agency points out, noting that sanctuary cities nationwide greatly impeded its public safety efforts by shielding even the most violent illegal aliens from deportation.
