Lysenkoism Is Today’s Environmentalism and It’s Bent On Killing Millions of People

By Dr. Rich Swier

“Trofim Lysenko’s spurious research prolonged famines that killed millions.”Sam Kean, Washington, D.C.  based writer for The Atlantic.

Have you ever heard of Lysenkoism? It is named after the former Soviet Era’s deadliest scientist Trofim Lysenko.

In a December 19, 2017 The Atlantic article Sam Kean wrote this about Trofim Lysenko,

Although it’s impossible to say for sure, Trofim Lysenko probably killed more human beings than any individual scientist in history. Other dubious scientific achievements have cut thousands upon thousands of lives short: dynamite, poison gas, atomic bombs. But Lysenko, a Soviet biologist, condemned perhaps millions of people to starvation through bogus agricultural research—and did so without hesitation. Only guns and gunpowder, the collective product of many researchers over several centuries, can match such carnage.

Trofim Lysenko was a Marxist who put his political ideology before scientific facts. Kean wrote, “So when the doctrines of science and the doctrines of communism clashed, he always chose the latter—confident that biology would conform to ideology in the end. It never did.”

Fast forward to today. Lysenkoism has morphed into today environmentalism. For the environmentalists the doctrines of science and the doctrines of environmentalism clash, therefor the environmentalist will always conform to the ideology not the science.

Just as Lysenko vaulted to the top of the Soviet scientific heap with unusual speed so to have the environmentalists in the current regime.  Like Lysenko environmentalists believe that the climate will conform to their doctrines and ideology, science be damned.

Environmentalism and Lysenkoism—Two Sides of the Marxist Coin

The current regime in Washington, D.C. has as it’s basic ideological philosophy to ignore DNA and genes as did Lysenko.

Kean reported, “Officials eventually put Lysenko in charge of Soviet agriculture in the 1930s. The only problem was, he had batty scientific ideas. In particular, he loathed genetics. Although a young field, genetics advanced rapidly in the 1910s and 1920s; the first Nobel Prize for work in genetics was awarded in 1933. And especially in that era, genetics emphasized fixed traits: Plants and animals have stable characteristics, encoded as genes, which they pass down to their children. Although nominally a biologist, Lysenko considered such ideas reactionary and evil, since he saw them as reinforcing the status quo and denying all capacity for change. (He in fact denied that genes existed.)

Today there are those who deny that there a only two genders, XX, male and XY, female, which has now become public policy as part of the equity, inclusion and diversity agenda. Denying that genes exist is fundamental to pushing the big lie, especially to the young and uninformed.

According to Kean, “…Lysenko promoted the Marxist idea that the environment alone shapes plants and animals. Put them in the proper setting and expose them to the right stimuli, he declared, and you can remake them to an almost infinite degree.

Today environmentalists promote the idea that plants, animals and mankind shape the environment and if properly controlled the environment will be saved from the evils of mankind. How, by reducing the impact of mankind by eliminating mankind.

To understand just how dangerous and deadly the environmental movement is read these columns:

  1. Greta Thunberg’s Solution For Climate Change — End Modern Life As We Know It
  2. Jane Fonda: ‘There’d Be No Climate Crisis if It Wasn’t For Racism’
  3. Kerry Likens Self to ‘Extraterrestrial’ Here to ‘Save the Planet’
  4. If I Wanted To Reshape The World To Have Fewer People →
  5. Here Is The Climate Cult’s True Agenda

The objective is to replace science with ideology. By doing so then the science becomes political rhetoric that will fundamentally transform not only America but the entire world.

As Kean warned, “Like the Soviet Union itself, the ‘science’ of Trofim Lysenko has been consigned to the dustbin of history. Yet the dangers of Lysenkoism—of subsuming biology to ideology—continue to lurk.”

The newest form of Lysenkoism is Environmentalism.

Prove us wrong!

The Soros DAs: Bad People Up to No Good

By The Daily Skirmish – Liberato.US

Missouri’s Attorney General just fired St. Louis progressive prosecutor Kim Gardner for failing to prosecute violent crimes and for other reasons.  Gardner is a Democrat whose campaign was bankrolled by left-wing superhero George Soros.  She admitted to prosecutorial misconduct in the case she brought against former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens.  Also, she was barred from prosecuting Mark McCloskey on gun charges after a judge found she was using the case to fundraise for her reelection campaign.  She has a backlog of 3,000 cases she has not brought.

The immediate precipitating factor for her firing was an incident in St. Louis last week in which a high school volleyball player visiting the city was struck by a speeding car, pinned against another car, and lost her legs.  The driver of the speeding car was free pending trial for armed robbery after Kim Gardner’s office failed to show up for his first trial and failed to respond when the defendant’s GPS monitor went off 40 times before the crash – meaning they didn’t know where he was half the time.

The volleyball player is not the only victim the Soros DAs have claimed.

Soros DA George Gascon in Los Angeles cut loose a Vietnamese man who had a history of making death threats against Jews.  After his release, the man went on to shoot two Jews who were leaving their synagogues.

The Michigan State University shooter who killed three this month had previous felony gun charges dropped to a misdemeanor by a progressive prosecutor.  A felony conviction would have barred the shooter from owning firearms.  The prosecutor retired in November after her soft-on-crime policies, including her gun charging policy, were widely criticized.

The man who killed a subway employee in Washington three weeks ago had assault charges against him dismissed by a Soros prosecutor in Virginia last year.

Kim Foxx, the notorious Soros prosecutor in Chicago, let a man escape murder charges who had been involved in a shootout with another man.  They both had drawn their guns in an altercation, but the prosecutor called the resulting death of one an act of ‘self-defense’.

Back in St. Louis, three teens were released and sent home after they fired shots at police officers.

These are not the only bad results Soros DAs around the country are producing.  The Soros DA in Philadelphia is overseeing the deadliest murder wave in the city since the 1990s, with more than 500 murders two years running.  Similarly, the murder rate in L.A. under the previously mentioned George Gascon is at a 15-year high.  Child sex crimes, domestic violence, and sexual assault have doubled on his watch, according to members of his own office.  Crime is spiking in city after city where Soros prosecutors are at the helm of the criminal justice system.

What’s it going to take to get people to realize these Soros prosecutors are bad people and progressive criminal justice reform is a very bad idea?  Their thinking is crazy:  All black people, including criminals, are Marxist class heroes and are always right no matter what.  White people are class enemies and always wrong.  Black people are downtrodden and oppressed and, therefore entitled to shoplift.  Theft is OK because insurance companies will just keep paying the losses – which is not true, by the way.  Get rid of cash bail.  Defund the police.  Abolish all courts and prisons. All of this is nuttier than a fruitcake but, if you were trying to create chaos and bring down the country – like many suspect George Soros of wanting to do – you couldn’t start in a better place.

As Train Derailments and Tensions with China Unfold, Experts See Crisis in U.S. Leadership thumbnail

As Train Derailments and Tensions with China Unfold, Experts See Crisis in U.S. Leadership

By Family Research Council

As yet another massive train derailment unfolded in Nebraska on Tuesday in the wake of the controversial federal response to the derailment disaster that has engulfed East Palestine, Ohio, experts are seeing a connection between the responses to both East Palestine and the recent aggressive actions of the Chinese regime: failed and incompetent American leadership.

“It’s a disaster,” said Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) on Wednesday’s edition of “Washington Watch with Tony Perkins.” “There again [in East Palestine], you have an administration that just checks a box. They don’t — [as] I always say — put the best players in, coach.”

Burchett went on to give a blunt assessment of the job performance of Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, who formerly served as the mayor of South Bend, Ind. Buttigieg has received strong criticism for his department’s slow response to the East Palestine train derailment, which exposed the town to dangerous toxic chemicals and caused mass evacuations.

“This guy is a disaster. We’ve seen this time and time again. I was a county mayor. You know, I did crazy things like pay down debt and get the county out of everybody’s business and was able to keep taxes [low] and actually give pay raises. So I know what it takes to be a mayor, but I’m not qualified to be secretary of transportation. And there’s no way in the world this guy is. … He’s a charade. I met him. I know him. I guess I like him as a person, but it’s just all a charade.”

President Biden is also facing growing backlash over his decision to make a surprise trip to Ukraine and announce additional expansive aid to the country while still having not visited East Palestine or offered federal aid to the town.

“You have a president who sent [almost] $100 billion to Ukraine and he won’t even pay a visit to his own people,” Burchett observed. “These globalists have got to stop. … And blaming it on the Trump administration when they’ve had two years of untethered liberal Marxist policies and spending is falling on deaf ears.”

Burchett further noted that the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, on which he sits, will be conducting oversight on the government response to the East Palestine disaster.

“Speaker [Kevin] McCarthy (R-Calif.) has said every committee will have an oversight facet to it, which is what Congress really originally set out to do. And … that’s not what [was done] under Democrat leadership. But now it has changed since January. As they say, there’s a new sheriff in town, and his name is Kevin McCarthy — and he is keeping his word.”

Meanwhile, concerns over increasingly close ties between China and Russia are growing. Shortly after Biden’s visit to Ukraine, China’s top foreign affairs official visited Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin, where the two countries announced “new levels of co-operation.” Experts fear that China senses weakness in U.S. leadership and is preparing to give Russia military aid.

Burchett, who also sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, underscored fears about the weak position the U.S. finds itself in in the wake of the spy balloon incident.

“This deal with Ukraine, the Chinese are watching. I had breakfast with [former] Secretary Pompeo … and he said, ‘Look, Tim, they know how many paperclips are going into your building.’ The Chinese are taking notes of all of this. They’re watching our supply chain. They’re watching the political response to this thing. This balloon issue — the first one was a spy balloon. And now [China is] watching us shoot down party balloons with $435,000 Sidewinder missiles.”

Burchett also noted the highly controversial advice of General Mark Milley, Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, to not shoot down China’s spy balloon until it had crossed the entire continental U.S. in early February. Biden took Milley’s advice and waited until the balloon floated off the coast of South Carolina before shooting it down.

“This is the general that, if you remember in the final days of the Trump administration, was in secret negotiations with China — our enemy,” Burchett observed. “We have a president of the United States whose cognitive level has dropped considerably.”

Burchett went on to give straightforward advice to conservatives in the days ahead. “I tell people, my friends in the church, [who] say, ‘What can we do?’ I say, ‘Pray for your country and vote.’ Because 20 million so-called evangelical Christians stayed home in these last elections. And that’s how Joe Biden is president of the United States.”

Perkins concurred. “We’ve got to flood the polls at every election with our folks and overwhelm any shenanigans that they’re engaged in.”

The poison fruit of the Democrat’s ruthless incitement to race hate. They want a race war. It’s evil. Pure evil.

‘It’s OK to be white,’ agree 72%, including 53% of black people

By Paul Bedard, Washington Secrets Columnist |February 22, 2023:

Voters are not buying into “woke” racial politics and anti-white attacks from liberals, according to a new survey on the simmering “it’s OK to be white” pushback.

In the latest Rasmussen Reports survey shared with Secrets, 72% agreed with the statement, “It’s OK to be white.” Even a majority of black people, 53%, agreed.

What’s more, when asked if voters agreed or disagreed with the statement, “Black people can be racist, too,” 79% agreed, including 66% of black people.

The survey appears to be a blow to the narrative in the liberal media and Hollywood that white people are the only racists and that being white is something people should be ashamed of……

American Pride Burning thumbnail

American Pride Burning

By Family Research Council

They called it a “night of rage.” But outside the charred walls of Buffalo’s CompassCare, pro-lifers could barely get the national media to call it anything. Like the string of domestic firebombings across WisconsinOregonColoradoTennessee, and Washington, the blown out windows, graffiti, and trashed offices were barely a blip on network news. It’s been quite a contrast to the extensive coverage a single burned flag in New York is getting. But then, that’s the power of the Pride.

The incident that’s grabbing headlines happened in the wee hours of Monday morning. According to security footage, a woman parked her SUV, walked over to a rainbow flag hanging outside SoHo’s Little Prince restaurant, pulled out a lighter, and set the flag on fire. An employee working late inside saw the flames and called 911. Although the residents on higher floors had to be evacuated, no one was injured. There were, however, cracked windows and “external damage,” especially to the outside landscaping.

“It’s disgusting,” restaurant owner Cobi Levy said. His staff, he told the press, is shaken and scared. “These kinds of acts are desperate acts committed by people who are consumed with hate and filled with hate,” thundered Eric Bottcher, a local councilmember. The New York Times and other major newspapers descended on the scene, interviewing sympathetic neighbors and calling for the suspect to face the harshest penalties.

Within 24 hours, an investigation had been launched by NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force and a replacement flag — larger than the one that proclaimed “Make America Gay Again” — had already been hung.

The all-hands-on-deck response was quite a contradiction to what more than 100 churches and pro-life groups have experienced over the last seven months from the FBI, which waited six of those months just to list the attackers on its Most Wanted website. Not a single arrest has been made in CompassCare’s case. In fact, the federal government has been so indifferent to the crimes that several pro-life groups have resorted to launching their own private investigation.

Meanwhile, in the Big Apple, Bottcher celebrated the LGBT movement’s resilience. “Our resolve is only strengthened when acts like this happen,” Bottcher told the community at a special ceremony to replace the colors on Tuesday. “We are standing up in the face of this hate and reasserting our pride in ourselves and our community. That’s why we hung the flag again.” Little Prince posted a photo of the new flag with one word: “Defiant.”

I want to be clear right off the bat: While there’s an obvious discrepancy in how the two sides have been treated by the media and law enforcement, no one is defending this woman’s actions. Respect for other people’s property — whether it’s a ministry or a drag bar — ought to be a reasonable expectation of every American. There’s no excuse for lawlessness in any form or against any person. That said, the hysteria over what happened in SoHo is a powerful illustration of where we are as a nation, and ignoring it only primes the pump for more hypocrisy.

There are plenty of double standards at play here, not the least of which is the excessive significance the legacy media assigns to victims of their pet political causes, while more than 100 pro-life ministries, churches, and pregnancy care centers sit smoldering in the ashes of a similar hatred, virtually ignored. Imagine if this woman had set fire to an America flag. Would the press race to the scene and mourn the lack of national pride across their platforms? Of course not, because in this age of identity politics, we’ve gotten to the point where setting fire to a rainbow flag is a “hate crime” and burning Old Glory is self-expression.

Frankly, the fact that a single act of arson can make national news is astonishing in an age when mobs can burn down entire cities with the ruling class’s blessing. During the George Floyd riots of 2020, torching federal buildings, courts, city property, and private businesses wasn’t violence, the Left said. It was “justice” — the kind that major Democratic figures publicly embraced.

It wasn’t even two years ago that Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), told the masses that if there wasn’t a guilty verdict in the Floyd murder case, then “… we got to not only stay in the street, but we have got to fight for justice.” Party leaders, like then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Calif.), defended Waters’s call to arms, saying she should not have to apologize for inciting violence. Rep. Alyssa Pressley (Mass.) flat-out called for “unrest,” while liberal city leaders from Portland to Chicago linked arms with anarchists, even going so far as to sue federal officials who tried to restore law and order.

The soon-to-be vice president of the United States, Kamala Harris, also endorsed the mobs, telling Stephen Colbert, “They’re not going to stop. … This is a movement. … And everyone, beware. …They’re not going to let up. And they should not, and we should not.”

Protestors, emboldened by Democrats, went on an anti-American rampage, toppling statues, defacing monuments, spraypainted historic buildings, and destroying private property, racking up more than $1 billion dollars in damage across the country — the most expensive riot spree in U.S. history. And yet this, the burning of a single LGBT flag, is “war in America.”

The irony is hard to miss. At a time when liberal ideologues argue against prosecuting anyone for anything, a woman destroying a rainbow flag faces double the punishment under New York’s hate crimes statute, which not only penalizes crimes but motives too. But what about the motives of the arsons in Buffalo? Where was the demand for “hate crimes” in cities where “ABORT THE CHURCH” and “DEATH TO CHRISTIAN NATIONALISM” were spraypainted across houses of worship?

If you’re starting to believe double standards are America’s only standards, you’re not alone. When burning our flag is “protected speech,” and a banner of sexual fanaticism is untouchable, we’ve passed the point of absurdity as a nation. And yet, these are the lessons our children have been taught: you can kneel for the national anthem but not refuse to wear a rainbow.

Now the bitter fruits of that indoctrination are everywhere. Today, more of Generation Z identifies as LGBT (20%) than feels proud to call America home (16%). Is it any wonder that society treats the Pride flag with a reverence it used to reserve for the country that gave activists the right to fly it in the first place?

In 1989, when the Supreme Court struck down the criminal penalties for burning a U.S. flag, Justice John Paul Stevens lamented in his dissent, “[The American flag] is more than a proud symbol of the courage, the determination, and the gifts of nature that transformed 13 fledgling Colonies into a world power. It is a symbol of freedom, of equal opportunity, of religious tolerance, and of goodwill for other peoples who share our aspirations.” It does not “represent the views of any particular party, and it does not represent any political philosophy,” Chief Justice William Rehnquist insisted. “The flag is not simply another idea or point of view competing for recognition in the marketplace of ideas.” The value of its unifying power, the four dissenting justices argued, cannot be measured.

Thirty-four years later, that unity is being tested as never before. We’ve become a people determined to wave our own flags, so comfortable in our factions that we’re trampling our country’s ideals — the same ideals that laid the foundations of self-expression the Left worships today. But if America has any hope of healing these deep divides, of ending these uncivil wars, the solution is returning — not to what divides us, but to what connects us. A national identity found, not in a spectrum of colors, but in three: red, white, and blue.

ERIC: The Worm That Got Inside Our Elections thumbnail

ERIC: The Worm That Got Inside Our Elections

By The Daily Skirmish – Liberato.US

Grassroots activists continue to raise questions about ERIC, the Electronic Registration Information Center, and authorities are beginning to respond.

On the face of things, ERIC is a private organization that helps its 32 member states clean up and maintain their voter rolls.  It compares state voter registration data against motor vehicle licensing information and the Social Security master death file.  Then it tells states which voters are dead, have moved out of state, or are registered to vote in more than one state.  Critics say ERIC is, at root, nothing more than a partisan get-out-the-vote drive for Democrats.

Louisiana withdrew from ERIC last month, citing “concerns raised by citizens, government watchdog organizations and media reports about potential questionable funding sources and that possibly partisan actors may have access to ERIC network data for political purposes.”

More recently, Alabama left ERIC.  The new Secretary of State said he did not want a private group having access to voter data, including driver’s license numbers, contact information, and partial social security numbers including those of minors.

In addition to partisan connections and privacy concerns, critics also say ERIC does a bad job, producing bloated voter rolls in member states.  Florida, for example, is a member of ERIC but has more than 100 percent of all possible citizens of voting age on its rolls.

Critics point to ERIC’s initial funding which was provided by leftist super-hero George Soros.  They also point to an interlocking directorate in the person of David Becker, a high-profile Democrat election lawyer who is the architect of ERIC.  Becker started at the left-wing group People for the American Way and was part of the Obama Justice Department.  He is described as a “hardcore Leftist” who “couldn’t stand conservatives.”  He went on to create the Center for Election Innovation and Research (CEIR) which distributed almost $70 million in private Zuckerberg money through official election offices to reach voters primarily in Democrat counties in the 2020 presidential election.  Becker is still a member of ERIC’s board.

Lawsuits have been filed against four jurisdictions for allowing ERIC to block public inspection of voter registration records.  ERIC’s contract with states requires them to hide the information from the public, in violation of federal law, the suits allege.

ERIC is also the subject of other lawsuits for sharing valuable and detailed voter registration data like phone numbers from four states with at least one outside leftist group, a practice not authorized in federal law.  ERIC requires members to identify and register unregistered voters and – this is the heart of the matter – they all turn out to be likely Democrat voters: minorities, students, etc.  According to the lawsuits, ERIC is shipping voter data to – this will sound familiar – CEIR, the leftist group I mentioned earlier involved in goosing Democrat voter registration with Zuckerbucks.  Critics say ERIC data, developed with taxpayer money, is helping the Democrats microtarget their most likely supporters who are not yet registered to vote.

Conservative activists continue to campaign against ERIC in Michigan, Virginia, and elsewhere.  However, there is a practical problem: finding a good substitute.  People suggest different things, but an obvious alternative has yet to emerge.   When ERIC was created, it displaced a then-new state-run interstate cross-check system for maintaining voter rolls.  State-run systems will be more expensive, but will pay big dividends in terms of election integrity, so they just might be the way to go.

Own a home in the suburbs? BRACE YOURSELF! thumbnail

Own a home in the suburbs? BRACE YOURSELF!

By John Eidson

Prior to the 2020 election, I posted a New York Post article on my local Nextdoor website, which has 39,000 subscribers within a 5-mile radius of my suburban Atlanta home. The article was about Biden’s plan for a federal takeover of local zoning laws, a move that would enable his administration to saturate suburban communities with new, high density public housing projects. Within an hour of my posting, two Nextdoor subscribers posted accusations that I was a racist trafficking in right-wing propaganda. I am not a racist, and the New York Post article was not propaganda. As recently reported by USA Today, Biden’s plan to torpedo the suburbs is already in motion, with funding from the $350 billion Covid rescue plan earmarked for construction of “affordable housing” smack in the middle of suburbia.

Please consider sharing the article below with every suburban homeowner you know.

What Biden’s “affordable housing” plan will do to suburbia

Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign website revealed plans for a federal takeover of local zoning laws. If enacted, the plan will force suburban jurisdictions with single-family homes and minimum lot sizes to permit construction of “affordable” high-density housing (apartments) on lots currently zoned for single-family living.

The professed purpose of the takeover is “to invest in our communities through housing by rebuilding the middle class and ensuring that this time everyone is included.” Translation: Inundate the suburbs with public housing projects.

The actual purpose of the takeover is to eviscerate Republican voting strength in the suburbs by relocating millions of government-dependent voters from inner city public housing projects to suburbia.

Some elected Democrats aren’t waiting for Biden to act. Last month, California governor Gavin Newsom signed a new law abolishing local ordinances that call for minimum lot sizes. The new law allows up to four residential units (apartments) to be built on lots that previously were zoned for single-family housing. It’s likely but a matter of time before the Democrat-run state increases the number of apartments allowed per lot by a substantial amount.

A federal takeover of local zoning laws would wreak havoc on nearly every middle class suburban neighborhood in America, including the one where I’ve lived for 44 years. With 800 homes on half-acre-plus lots zoned for single-family living, the heavily forested subdivision I live in has a beautiful lake surrounded by a walking trail, greenbelt areas that provide habitat for deer and other wildlife, eight lighted tennis courts, a 25-meter swimming pool, and a two-story clubhouse. One of the safest and most livable residential communities in suburban Atlanta, the subdivision is located in one of the highest rated school districts in Georgia. When houses in this area of Atlanta’s suburbs are put on the market, they sell quickly, often at top-dollar prices.

Here’s how a federal takeover of local zoning laws could affect the community where I live. Let’s say I decide to sell my house, and that federal rezoning allows up to eight apartments per half-acre lot. Let’s say I get two offers, one from a family that wants to live in the house, the other from a real estate speculator who wants to raze the house and build an 8-unit apartment building in its place. My lot would be far more valuable to the speculator, so he makes a much higher offer, and I accept. Once the apartment building is finished, my current neighbors would suddenly be living next door to eight family units instead of one.

Let’s say that in subsequent years, half of the other residents in my subdivision also sell their property to a real estate speculator. That means that at some point in the future, 400 of the 800 total lots would have an 8-unit apartment building, causing the subdivision’s population density to sharply increase, from 800 families to 3,600 families.

Due to nothing more than simple economics, the same thing would happen to surrounding subdivisions, causing the quality of living to plummet and traffic congestion to worsen significantly. The local jurisdiction would be forced to build new schools and larger water and sewer systems to accommodate higher density living.

More people would invariably result in more crime, and a once-safe residential area would become a more challenging place to raise a family. With Democrats committed to defunding the police and confiscating guns, suburban families would be virtually defenseless against street crime and home invasions.

“Too safe, too clean, too white, too Republican”

Initial planning for a federal takeover of local zoning laws began during the latter part of the presidency of Barack Obama, who viewed the suburbs as too safe, too clean, too white, too Republican. President Trump derailed those plans, but the plans are now poised to be resurrected under Biden’s “infrastructure” bill.

Now being negotiated in Congress, the bill allocates $213 billion for what he describes as “affordable housing.” In truth, the funding would be used to salt single-family neighborhoods in suburbia with Section 8 apartment buildings. If enacted into law, federal zoning mandates will turn peaceful suburban communities into the kind of urban war zones that exist in inner city areas of every Democrat-run city in America, no exceptions.

Biden’s “affordable housing” wrecking ball will lay waste to tens of thousands of single-family suburban neighborhoods presently inhabited by middle class homeowners of all races, ethnicities and political persuasions. More details of the planned takeover of local zoning laws are described in the New York Post article, “Biden’s ‘infrastructure’ plan wages war on the suburban dream.”

A half-century of Democrat rule has decimated the quality of life in urban America. Now that Democrats control the reins of government, they intend to do the same to the suburban neighborhood where you and your family live.

Federal Employees Say Forcing Them Back Into The Office Endangers The Planet

Federal Employees Say Forcing Them Back Into The Office Endangers The Planet

The largest union of federal employees is arguing against a return to the office because it would be harmful for the environment, The Washington Post reported Wednesday.

By: John Hugh DeMastri, Daily Caller, February 22, 2023

President Joe Biden has been under increasing pressure from Republican Rep. James Comer of Kentucky and Democratic Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington, D.C., to send federal employees back to the office, the Post reported. In response, representatives from the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) told the Post that a return to the office would have negative environmental impacts.

“We all know that personal automobiles are responsible for a tremendous amount of pollution through the burning of fossil fuels,” Jacque Simon, public policy director at the AFGE, told the Post. “So every car trip not taken has an environmental benefit.”

This sentiment was echoed by AFGE Local 1236 President Bethany Dreyfus, who represents employees at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Hawaii, California, Nevada and Arizona, according to the Post. The calls to return to the office have “unsettled” EPA employees in that region who tout the environmental and work-life balance benefits of remote work.

“So many of us work on reducing emissions in our daily jobs at the EPA,” Dreyfus told the Post. “So to be able to do that not only through our work, but how we get to work, is really important.”

The U.S. federal government owns or leases roughly one-third of properties in D.C., and accounted for approximately one-fourth of the city’s pre-pandemic jobs, ABC News reported. D.C. is the U.S. city with the highest work-from-home rate, putting pressure on businesses, who are seeing less foot traffic, and city officials are concerned that tax revenue may take a permanent hit.

“We need decisive action by the White House to either get most federal workers back to the office, most of the time, or to realign their vast property holdings for use by the local government, by nonprofits, by businesses and by any user willing to revitalize it,” Bowser said in her inaugural address Jan. 2, ABC News reported.

Biden Gives $500M In Aid To Ukraine, $0 To Ohio

By: Lucretia Hughes, February 22, 2023:

President Joe Biden has shown where his priorities lie after making a secret trip to war-torn Ukraine on Monday in support of Kyiv, and even announced a new $500 million aid package for the country, which includes shells for howitzers, anti-tank missiles, air surveillance radars and other aid.

That is rich considering the president has yet to visit East Palestine, Ohio after a train derailed earlier this month hauling toxic chemicals, which were then exploded into the air, water, and soil via a “controlled release,” creating a “Chernobyl” style catastrophe.

The ecological disaster has polluted water ways, including the Ohio River, and killed off a vast majority of fish and wildlife in the area. Nearby residents have even reported their pets dropping dead, and many in the area have had headaches and developed rashes.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine requested federal aid to deal with the disaster last week, yet Biden denied it. I guess now we know why….he needed to send half a billion to Ukraine instead.

Today in Kyiv, President Biden announced a new delivery of critical equipment for Ukraine.

Media Says Americans Should Just Skip Meals To Cut High Grocery Bills

By The Geller Report

Democrats want you miserable, poor and hungry. Who votes for this?

This is the left’s economy of scarcity replacing American’s economy of abundance.

WSJ Suggests Americans Skip A Meal To Save Money- No Joke!

By: Erica Carlin, Liberty One, February 2023:

I hate even repeating this ignorant idea, but people should know what the left thinks we should all be doing if we want to save money. For instance, Democrats are blaming the ‘poor’ (Also known as the lower and middle class—Basically the rest of us) for inflation. According to them, Americans are only spending money on essentials and that’s driving up inflation.

Now, the Wall Street Journal suggests Americans skip a meal to save money. I want to believe this article was satirical but given the current climate, it’s poorly curated.

A joke or not WSJ said that because egg price increases were the worst, Americans should just skip that meal completely:

“Several breakfast staples saw sharp price increases due to a perfect storm of bad weather and disease outbreaks—and continued effects from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Egg prices increased 8.5% in January from a month earlier and are up 70.1% over the past year, the highest annual rate since 1973. The deadliest avian-influenza outbreak on record has devastated poultry flocks across the U.S., leading the price of eggs to rise more than any other grocery item in 2022, according to Information Resources Inc. U.S. egg inventories were 29% lower in the final week of December 2022 than at the beginning of 2022, according to the USDA.

Frozen, noncarbonated juices and drinks—a category that includes frozen orange juice—rose by 1.5% in January from a month earlier, and the 12.4% annual increase is the highest in over a decade. Florida orange growers are harvesting their smallest crop in nearly 90 years, the result of a freeze, two hurricanes and a citrus disease that is laying waste to its groves.”

‘We’re Like A Third World Nation’: Trump Hammers Pete Buttigieg Over Handling Of Toxic Train Derailment

By The Daily Caller

Former President Donald Trump hammered Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg Wednesday afternoon and during his visit to eastern Ohio, where a train derailment early February spilled toxic chemicals into the air and water.

Trump visited East Palestine on Wednesday to speak with local residents and deliver pallets of water and cleaning supplies to the community more than two weeks after a Norfolk Southern trail derailed and a controlled burn released hazardous chemicals into the air to prevent an explosion. Trump denied that rail deregulations during his administration were relevant to the crash and said that the US is like a “third world country” and “breaking down” under Buttigieg’s leadership, according to a video filmed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

“He should have been here a long time ago,” Trump said. “Now he was supposed to come today but he heard I was coming today and postponed it, but whenever he comes he’s got to do his job and if we didn’t come, they never would have come.”

— Alexa Schwerha (@alexaschwerha1) February 22, 2023

Buttigieg is scheduled to be in East Palestine tomorrow, 20 days after the initial derailment, Politico reported. He came under fire for his slow response to the disaster after he posted a Twitter thread 10 days after it occurred.

Trump denied allegations that his administration’s deregulation of railroad safety policies could have contributed to the derailment.

“It had nothing to do with it,” Trump said when pressed about his administration’s policy on rail regulations. “No, he’s got to work on the airports and we’ve never had airports like this. We’re like a third world nation and this is an example of it … our whole country is breaking down.”

Trump made a quick appearance outside an East Palestine restaurant Wednesday afternoon, where he met with residents lined down the street to welcome him. East Palestine voted heavily for Trump during the 2020 election, USA Today reported.

Residents told the DCNF that they were frustrated with President Biden’s recent visit to Ukraine. Trump said at the restaurant that “it’s terrible” he has not visited the village.

Susan Rice to Head Biden’s Race-Essentialism Task Force thumbnail

Susan Rice to Head Biden’s Race-Essentialism Task Force

By Discover The Networks

Breitbart News reports that adviser Susan Rice has been tapped to lead the Biden administration’s new “White House Steering Committee on Equity” designed to embed a “focus on equity into the fabric of Federal policymaking.”

Alleged President Biden issued a February 16 executive order on “further advancing racial equity,” which established the new office set to “transform” federal agencies, with the goal of “advanc[ing] an ambitious, whole-of-government approach to racial equity and support for underserved communities and to continuously embed equity into all aspects of Federal decision-making.”

Withing a month of the order, every major federal agency will be required to establish “Agency Equity Teams” who will submit annual racialized plans to Rice’s steering committee. Such equity teams will be charged with “the implementation of equity initiatives” within their respective agencies and “delivering equitable outcomes for the American people.”

Some initiatives include “continued equity training and equity leadership development” and to “facilitate equitable flows of private capital.”

America First Legal president Stephen Miller said:

With the stroke of a pen, Biden has transformed the entire federal government into a DEI [diversity, equity, and inclusion] cult—putting equity czars inside virtually every single agency of the executive branch and subordinating every department to the Marxist equity agenda. Every previous law and regulation must now be reinterpreted to ensure racial and gender equity: in other words, to achieve a predetermined racial or gender identity outcome even if it requires ruthless discrimination against American citizens.

Biden’s executive order follows a larger push by his administration, from his first day in office, to put race at the center of every policy decision.

In June 2020, Rice smeared the Trump presidency as “an administration which has been racist to its core for the last three and a half years, from comparing the peaceful protesters at Charlottesville to white supremacists, calling white supremacists very fine people, all the way through to the recent weeks where the administration has disparaged the Black Lives Matter movement, disparaged the peaceful protesters, and basically made plain that they prefer to stand by a Confederate legacy than a modern America, it’s been an administration whose record on race is just disgraceful.” Moreover, Rice described presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden as “somebody who can heal and unify the nation and remove Donald Trump and consign him and those who supported him in the Senate to the trash heap of history.”

Biden Issues Second Executive Order to ‘Further’ Advance Governmentwide Racial Equity thumbnail

Biden Issues Second Executive Order to ‘Further’ Advance Governmentwide Racial Equity

By Judicial Watch

Although the U.S. has already implemented a governmentwide plan to advance racial equity and support underserved communities under a 2021 Biden executive order, the president has issued a second directive to strong arm federal agencies into launching more initiatives that will further tax Americans. Under the recently issued mandate government agencies have 30 days to establish an “Agency Equity Team” and conduct proactive engagement with members of underserved communities through culturally and linguistically appropriate listening sessions. Biden is also creating a White House Steering Committee on Equity composed of senior officials who will coordinate the government’s sweeping efforts to promote his leftist agenda.

“By advancing equity, the Federal Government can support and empower all Americans, including the many communities in America that have been underserved, discriminated against, and adversely affected by persistent poverty and inequality,” Biden writes in the new document, adding that “equitability” will rebuild trust in government. “This order builds upon my previous equity-related Executive Orders by extending and strengthening equity-advancing requirements for agencies, and it positions agencies to deliver better outcomes for the American people,” according to the president. As examples the commander-in-chief offers building a strong, fair, and inclusive workforce and economy, investing in communities where federal policies have historically impeded equal opportunity, mitigating economic displacement, rooting out discrimination in the housing market, advancing equity in health, environmental justice and ending “unjust disparities” in the nation’s criminal justice system.

Additionally, the director of the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) will update directives to “support equitable decision-making, promote equitable deployment of financial and technical assistance, and assist agencies in advancing equity, as appropriate and wherever possible,” the new executive order says. This is important because OMB plays a pivotal role in government by developing and executing the federal budget, overseeing federal agencies and executive branch operations, and coordinating all significant federal regulations. The new order also includes a blueprint to make equity part of the official federal budget process and specifically prevent discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation. “My Administration has embedded a focus on equity into the fabric of Federal policymaking and service delivery,” Biden writes, bragging that his presidency is the most diverse in our nation’s history.

This month’s executive order is part of a robust movement by the administration to incorporate racial equity across all federal agencies. The president launched the plan on his first day in office with the lengthy executive order to advance racial equity and support for underserved communities through the government. The 2021 document claims that “entrenched disparities” in laws, public policies, and private institutions have denied equal opportunity to individuals and communities and that the health and climate crises have exposed inequities while a “historic movement for justice has highlighted the unbearable human costs of systemic racism.” Therefore, the original order states, the federal government should pursue a “comprehensive approach to advancing equity for all, including people of color and others who have been historically underserved, marginalized, and adversely affected by persistent poverty and inequality.” It further says that “by advancing equity across the Federal Government, we can create opportunities for the improvement of communities that have been historically underserved, which benefits everyone.”

Many key federal agencies have taken major steps to implement racial equity plans as per Biden’s first mandate. The Department of Justice (DOJ) has formulated a strategy to “advance equity for marginalized and underserved communities” that, among other things, directs federal prosecutors to ignore maximum sentencing under the law to “avoid unwarranted disparities.” The Department of Labor has dedicated $260 million to promote “equitable access” to government unemployment benefits by addressing disparities in the administration and delivery of money by race ethnicity and language proficiency. The Treasury Department named its first ever racial equity chief, a veteran La Raza official who spent a decade at the nation’s most influential open borders group. The Department of Defense (DOD) is using outrageous anti-bias materials that indoctrinate troops with anti-American and racially inflammatory training on diversity topics. The U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) created an equity commission to address longstanding inequities in agriculture. The nation’s medical research agency has a special minority health and health disparities division that issued a study declaring COVID-19 exacerbated preexisting resentment against racial/ethnic minorities and marginalized communities.

In Defense of the U.S. Constitution thumbnail

In Defense of the U.S. Constitution

By Jerry Newcombe

Sir William Gladstone, a British Prime Minister during the time of Queen Victoria, once observed, “The American Constitution is, so far as I can see, the most wonderful work ever struck off at a given time by the brain and purpose of man.”

The Constitution needs no defense. Its durability is a testimony to its greatness. However, many Americans today certainly do not appreciate it.

Last year one commentator said on national television that the U.S. Constitution was “trash.”  Trash? What do we do with trash? We throw it out. Yipes.

Meanwhile, just last week, after a two year legal battle, a student was finally granted permission to hand out copies of our nation’s Constitution anywhere on his campus, not just the comparatively tiny “free speech zone” established by a Los Angeles area college.

After his legal victory, Pierce College student Kevin Shaw remarked, “I’m thankful to know future students won’t have to worry about being harassed for expressing political opinions.” Too bad he had to battle for this in the first place, over a course of two years. And is America’s chief governing document a mere “political opinion” now?

Earlier this month, AmericanWireNews.com reported on how an immigrant was expelled from her post in academia reportedly because of her advocacy of our nation’s governing document: “A Virginia Board of Education member named Suparna Dutta, who was appointed by Gov. Glenn Youngkin, was booted from the board by Senate Democrats because she ardently defended the Constitution and spoke out against socialism to another board member, calling it ‘very destructive.’”

Ironically, this immigrant from India who supports “traditional American values” was also accused of supposedly being a “white supremacist.”

Quite honestly, I don’t think the huddled masses at the southern border yearning to breathe free view our nation’s governing document as trash, or as merely an instrument of “white supremacy.”

Why do people vote with their feet to try and get a chance to enjoy life here under our Constitution?

I’ve been working on a documentary on our nation’s governing document. It’s called, “We the People.” This is the latest installment of our Providence Forum’s ongoing series, “The Foundation of American Liberty,” on the role of Judeo-Christian influence in the settling and founding of America.

“We the People” not only explains how the Bible played a critical role in the creation of the Constitution, but it also answers important objections—often raised today—such as the issues of slavery, Jim Crow laws, and the mistreatment of the Indians.

These are glaring examples of the promises of the Constitution that came late, but came nonetheless. The special points out how the framers built in the means by which injustices could be rectified.

Some of the guests in “We the People” on America and its Constitution:

  • Alveda King, niece of MLK: “There is still opportunity in America, there is still hope in America, there is still prayer in America, and I continue to pray for America.”
  • Rev. Billy Falling: “As a Native American, the Constitution means to me that I have a protection, I have a wall, I have something that covers me, and that is the rule of law.”
  • Father Leon Hutton: “As a Catholic, the Constitution has meant to us the opportunity to freely practice faith as we see it.”
  • Dennis Prager: “This is the Judeo-Christian country. Christians rooted in ‘Judeo’ founded the country. Jews knew this….Jews were in love with this country and for good reason.”
  • Jenna Ellis: “As a millennial Christian woman, the Constitution is such a wonderful gift that my generation and the generations after must continue to preserve and protect.”

I have been working on this series for some time, and I was able to get an interview with syndicated columnist Dr. Walter Williams, a professor at George Mason University, about a year before his death,

Dr. Williams told me”: “I think that the United States Constitution has been very valuable just considering the evidence. Number one, we still have the Constitution, although, it’s not obeyed all the time. But the Constitution has led to the richest and the most powerful nation on the face of this earth and the greatest amount of personal liberty that people enjoy, that is the people try to get to United States, people want to live in United States, they want to become American citizens. And the reason why is the liberty that we have.”

I wish some of today’s elites on the left would rethink their jaundiced view of this “most wonderful work,” the Constitution of the United States of America. The irony is that those who rail against the Constitution are able to do so because of the freedoms granted them by that very document.

Emily Kohrs Forewoman of Georgia Grand Jury Investigating Trump Steps In It—Big Time thumbnail

Emily Kohrs Forewoman of Georgia Grand Jury Investigating Trump Steps In It—Big Time

By Royal A. Brown III

The forewoman of the Georgia Grand Jury considering President Donald J. Trump and others for indictment related to J6 is a witch who made some really absurd comments on CNN.

I hope Trump’s lawyers use her silly, stupid, giggling performance to throw out charges such as jury tampering.

She must have been coached by the laughing hyena word salad Vice President Kamala “Commie” Harris. That or she has read or watched too many Harry Potter books and movies or maybe she’s a graduate of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft.

CNN reporters agonize over Trump grand jury forewoman’s bizarre media blitz: ‘Prosecutor’s nightmare’

CNN reporters agonized over Emily Kohrs, the forewoman on Georgia’s special grand jury investigating former President Donald Trump, who sat down for multiple interviews with the media about the grand jury’s recommendations.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Elie Honig discussed Kohrs’ interview Tuesday night and wondered if her media blitz was “responsible.”

“First of all why this person is talking on TV, I do not understand. Because, she’s clearly enjoying herself, but I mean, is this responsible? She was the foreperson of this grand jury,” Cooper said.

Honig said it was a “horrible idea” and that the prosecutors were likely “wincing.”

“I was wincing just watching her eagerness to like, hint at stuff,” Cooper added. Honig said the interviews were a “prosecutor’s nightmare.”

“Mark my words, Donald Trump’s team is going to make a motion, if there’s an indictment, to dismiss that indictment based on grand jury impropriety. She’s not supposed to be talking about anything, really. But she’s really not supposed to be talking about the deliberations. She’s talking about what specific witnesses they saw, what the grand jury thought of them. She says some of them we found credible, some we found funny. I don’t know why that’s relevant, but she’s been saying we found this guy funny or interesting. I think she’s potentially crossing a line here. It’s gonna be a real problem for prosecutors,” Honig continued.

During “CNN This Morning” on Wednesday, analyst Maggie Haberman joined the hosts to discuss Kohrs’ media appearances and seemed to echo Cooper and Honig’s concerns as well.

“If I am the prosecutor I am not sure that I want this media tour taking place because I’m confident that Donald Trump’s lawyers are going to use this,” she said.

Why Censorship Should Chill You to the Bone thumbnail

Why Censorship Should Chill You to the Bone

By Foundation for Economic Education (FEE)

China’s first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, once said “I have collected all the writings of the Empire and burnt those which were of no use.” Lovers of liberty the world over have been fighting the arrogance of censors in all the 2,400 years since he uttered that.

“Give me the liberty to know, to utter, and to argue freely according to conscience, above all liberties,” declared John Milton in his famous 1644 polemic known as Aeropagitica. He wrote in passionate support of freedom of press and speech at a time when both King and Parliament attempted to censor dissent.

A little more than two centuries later, John Stuart Mill expressed similar sentiments in a famous essay titled On Liberty. Opinions should never be silenced, he argued, because 1) they might be correct; 2) the collision of differing views, correct or incorrect, is often the best pathway to the truth; and 3) absent any contesting perspective, even a truth can wither into a mere kneejerk prejudice. These are among the reasons why civil libertarians argue that the best remedy for false or harmful speech is more speech, not less.

Now here we are in the 21st Century, long after the powerful arguments posed by Milton, Mill and countless others, and censorship remains an issue. It may be an even bigger one today than it was decades ago. By one measure, the Press Freedom Index produced by Reporters Without Borders, the squelching of opinion is a problem in an awful lot of places.

Censorship is generally considered a province of governments because they have the requisite monopoly on legalized force. They can shut you up and send the cops to your door if you don’t stay quiet. If a private entity, such as a newspaper, chooses not to publish something, we may cavalierly describe its action as “censorship”, but that newspaper cannot forbid other private parties from publishing it. That newspaper can shut itself up, but it can’t shut others up. It can’t dispatch men with guns to silence a competitor (at least not legally).

One reason censorship is in the news is the unholy alliance between certain private entities (such as social media companies) with government. Exhibit A: the FBI working with Twitter to censor the New York Post story about Hunter Biden’s notorious laptop. When private entities conspire with government to silence opinion, we get the worst of two worlds: the brute force of the state combined with the technology and efficiency of free enterprise. The Biden Administration’s botched plan to create a kind of Orwellian “Ministry of Truth” would likely have formalized a censorship alliance between Big Government and Big Tech. For now at least, we dodged a bullet on that one!

For the same reason we should fear such combinations, we should dread the thought of the IRS hiring private firms to collect taxes; I’d rather trust bumbling bureaucracies with that.

Those who value liberty should be wary of self-censorship too. We all practice forms of it to some extent. As adults, for instance, we usually avoid certain words and topics in the presence of children. But when self-censorship arises from intimidation or intolerance (e.g., “cancel culture”), our liberties are in danger. Brad Polumbo warned in these pages that “Self-censorship driven by culture, not government, erodes our collective discovery of truth all the same.” We could use more serious discussion of just how subtle but pervasive self-censorship has become these days, and more courage to push back on it.

To remind us of the dangers inherent in censorship, I wish to share with readers some of the more eloquent statements said of it. The first comes from Woodrow Wilson, 28th President of the United States, in a letter to one Arthur Brisbane dated April 25, 1917:

I can imagine no greater disservice to the country than to establish a system of censorship that would deny to the people of a free republic like our own their indisputable right to criticize their own public officials. While exercising the great powers of the office I hold, I would regret in a crisis like the one through which we are now passing to lose the benefit of patriotic and intelligent criticism.

Before you pronounce Wilson a civil libertarian, consider the context: He wrote that letter three weeks after securing from Congress a declaration of war against Germany and just two weeks after signing an executive order creating the Committee on Public Information. He charged that new federal agency with a task that Christopher B. Daly in Smithsonian Magazine called “a plan to control, manipulate and censor all news coverage, on a scale never seen in U.S. history”—in other words, to carry out the very dastardly assignment he said a few days before was a “disservice to the country.”

If Wilson’s duplicity shakes your confidence in government behavior on the matter of censorship, then you’re primed and ready for the rest of the quotes:

To suppress free speech is a double wrong. It violates the rights of the hearer as well as those of the speaker. It is just as criminal to rob a man of his right to speak and hear as it would be to rob him of his money – Frederick Douglass, 1880

Don’t join the book burners. Don’t think you are going to conceal thoughts by concealing evidence that they ever existed – Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1953

If all printers were determined not to print anything till they were sure it would offend nobody, there would be very little printed – Benjamin Franklin, 1730

Books won’t stay banned. They won’t burn. Ideas won’t go to jail. In the long run of history, the censor and the inquisitor have always lost. The only sure way against bad ideas is better ideas. The source of better ideas is freedom – Alfred Whitney Griswold, 1952

Where they have burned books, they will end in burning human beings – Heinrich Heine, 1823

To whom do you award the right to decide which speech is harmful, or who is the harmful speaker? Or to determine in advance what are the harmful consequences going to be that we know enough about in advance to prevent? To whom would you give this job? To whom are you going to award the task of being the censor? Isn’t a famous old story that the man who has to read all the pornography, in order to decide what’s fit to be passed and what is fit not to be, is the man most likely to become debauched? Did you hear any speaker in the opposition to this motion, eloquent as one of them was, to whom you would delegate the task of deciding for you what you could read? To whom you would give the job of deciding for you – relieve you of the responsibility of hearing what you might have to hear? Do you know anyone? Hands up. Do you know anyone to whom you’d give this job? Does anyone have a nominee? – Christopher Hitchens, 2006

The priceless heritage of our society is the unrestricted constitutional right of each member to think as he will. Thought control is a copyright of totalitarianism, and we have no claim to it. It is not the function of the government to keep the citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to keep the government from falling into error. We could justify any censorship only when the censors are better shielded against error than the censored – Robert H. Jackson, 1950

All censorships exist to prevent anyone from challenging current conceptions and existing institutions. All progress is initiated by challenging current conceptions, and executed by supplanting existing institutions. Consequently the first condition of progress is the removal of censorship – George Bernard Shaw, 1893

Censorship reflects a society’s lack of confidence in itself. It is a hallmark of an authoritarian regime. Long ago those who wrote our First Amendment charted a different course. They believed a society can be truly strong only when it is truly free. In the realm of expression they put their faith, for better or for worse, in the enlightened choice of the people, free from the interference of a policeman’s intrusive thumb or a judge’s heavy hand. So it is that the Constitution protects coarse expression as well as refined, and vulgarity no less than elegance – Potter Stewart, 1965

GOP Primary Voters Want Candidates to Embrace Cultural Issues, Poll Finds thumbnail

GOP Primary Voters Want Candidates to Embrace Cultural Issues, Poll Finds

By Family Research Council

A new poll reveals that the overwhelming majority of Republican primary voters want future GOP presidential contenders to embrace hot button issues like gender transition procedures for minors and implementing restrictions on pornography.

The survey, conducted by OnMessage Inc., found that 93% of respondents want candidates to confront parents rights issues, including increased transparency with school curriculums and school activities. A full 76% also want candidates to ban gender transitions procedures for minors, such as surgeries to remove healthy organs, puberty-blocking drugs, and cross-sex hormones.

The poll also found 86% of respondents saying they are more likely to support a candidate that advocated for requiring age verification in order to access pornographic websites.

In response to issues that are considered less contentious, voters showed less enthusiasm, with 59% saying they want a candidate who will push for a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants, and 50% saying they want an emphasis on supporting Ukraine through military aid.

“The fight against the woke issues … that’s where the intensity really was,” said Jon Schweppe, director of Policy and Government Affairs for the American Principles Project, during “Washington Watch with Tony Perkins” last week. “Ultimately, voters are looking for someone who’s going to defend the family, who’s going to fight the woke Left, who’s going to fight to stop these horrific sex change procedures that are being performed on kids. … I think a Republican candidate who emerges from this presidential primary is going to have to be strong on all those issues.”

Perkins pointed to a particularly notable result in the survey indicating less than expected support for protecting women’s sports from men who identify as transgender women. “Sixty-nine percent [who support prohibiting males from competing in girls sports], that’s still a good number. But what was surprising was that it’s even stronger when it comes to these sex change medical procedures. People understand what’s going on and what really matters.”

Schweppe, whose organization released the results of the poll, concurred.

“When you’re talking about puberty blockers as young as seven, eight years old, that’s where voters are really animated,” he observed. “They see it as an issue of life and death because it is. Women’s sports is important and we want to protect these opportunities for girls, but I think it’s a little bit lower stakes. [Gender transition procedures] are a horrific thing that’s being perpetrated on these kids. And it really, really animates Republican voters. And what we’ve found is that in our polling of the general electorate, it’s actually really important to independents and even some Democrats too. It’s a great issue for Republicans to lead on and hopefully do the right thing as we try to stop this from happening across the country.”

The survey’s results appear to rebuke the strategy taken by some Republican candidates and strategists ahead of 2022’s midterm elections, which was to steer clear of divisive social issues. That strategy did not appear to pan out in the midterm results.

The poll also found that GOP primary voters prefer Florida Governor Ron DeSantis over former President Donald Trump in a head-to-head matchup, with DeSantis garnering 53% and Trump receiving 38%.

Schweppe asserted that the growing rivalry between the two men will benefit conservative voters in the end.

“The encouraging thing, especially for social conservatives, is that as Trump and DeSantis fight each other, they’re going to continue to try to outflank each other on all of these issues. [Even with] the Big Tech issue today, they’re kind of outflanking each other with that, trying to do a digital Bill of Rights to make sure censorship doesn’t happen online.”

“I think folks should be excited about the primary. Let’s make sure that we get a strong candidate that can finally take Joe Biden out of office and make sure we can save this country,” Schweppe concluded.

Matt Carpenter, director of Family Research Council Action, was also encouraged by the message voters appear to be sending to presidential candidates through the latest poll results.

“GOP primary voters want to hear their presidential candidates address cultural issues,” he told The Washington Stand. “Many of these voters are motivated by what their children are exposed to in the classroom, or the obsession of the current administration to fund abortion through all stages of pregnancy. They want their nominee to provide a clear contrast to the radical anti-family, anti-faith, anti-life agenda of the current administration.”

“Americans, in general, have opted to vote with their feet and their wallets, by leaving liberal states in favor of more conservative ones and by cancelling subscriptions or deciding to shop elsewhere in order to avoid woke corporations,” Carpenter concluded. “It follows that the GOP would see a similar pattern emerge among their likely primary voters in the upcoming presidential primary.”

DEMOCRAT RULE: 55 Chicago Schools Report NO Proficiency in Math or Reading: ‘Very Serious’

By The Geller Report

This is exactly what the Democrats want – an army of morons, preferably violent, to wage their war on civilization. How to better to swell the ranks of their thug army?

Save your children. Government schools should be avoided like the plague. Parents must find alternatives.

Illinois state Sen. Willie Preston says city must examine COVID-era policies

55 Chicago schools report no students proficient in math or reading

Illinois state Sen. Willie Preston joins “Fox & Friends First” to discuss his concern surrounding the learning loss and how lawmakers and parents can act to counter the trend.

Parents nationwide are still battling the impact of stringent school closures and lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Chicago families are no exception.

An alarming report has revealed that dozens of Chicago schools claim no students are proficient in either math or reading despite the state and federal government funneling billions of dollars into education in the Windy City.

Illinois state Sen. Willie Preston, a Democrat and a father of six, joined “Fox & Friends First” to discuss the report and how parents and lawmakers in the city can help children excel in the classroom post-pandemic.

“Government isn’t the anthem for all things,” Preston told Griff Jenkins. “I think that we have to reengage parents, have parents actively take a role inside the schools when they can be, but in addition, we need to make certain that we … spend our money in the right way as it pertains to our children’s education.”

Wirepoints released the findings that stem from 2022 data from the Illinois Department of Education, which indicated that in 55 Chicago public schools, no students were reported proficient in either math or reading.

Trump Turns 2024 Election On Its Head – For Donald’s Run, He Plans to ‘Master’ Democrat Ballot Harvesting thumbnail

Trump Turns 2024 Election On Its Head – For Donald’s Run, He Plans to ‘Master’ Democrat Ballot Harvesting

By The Geller Report

President Trump does not have a choice. The Democrat Party used COVID-19 to change our elections with ballot harvesting. As such, President Trump must engage in ballot harvesting in 2024 if he has any chance of winning.  The Democrat Party must not be allowed to have a monopoly on ballot harvesting in states where it is legal. Otherwise we will never see a Republican candidate win a presidential election again. #Trump2024!

Trump Turns 2024 Election on Its Head – For Donald’s Run, He Plans to ‘Master’ Democrat Ballot Harvesting

By The Patriot, Feb 18, 2023

“Former President Donald Trump’s campaign is examining ways to win over the mail-in vote after the Democrats’ performance in the 2020 presidential and 2022 midterm elections…

The change of heart can be observed in a Trump fundraising email… “Our path forward is to MASTER the Democrats’ own game of harvesting ballots in every state we can. But that also means we need to start laying the foundation for victory RIGHT NOW.”

It’s not an exaggeration to say that the country’s on the line this next election. If Joe Biden gets another term, we might not recover. The senile old socialist is determined to sell America to the highest bidder. His radical policies have destroyed our economy, border, and national security. And he’s only getting started.

But the sad reality is, he doesn’t need to be a good president to win an election. Democrats have figured out how to game the system, so they can do whatever they want and still win. We saw it in 2020 and we even saw it in Arizona last year. If Republicans want to win, they’ll have to change their battle plans. And, in a move nobody saw coming, Trump just announced an election-shaking change.
