SANDOVAL: NYT Columnist Declares War On Camo For Completely Deranged Reason

The average New York Times (NYT) reader has concerns which a million monkeys with a million typewriters wouldn’t come up with given a million years.

“Is camouflage still acceptable to wear?” asks Hope from Scottsdale, Arizona, of NYT’s fashion columnist, Vanessa Friedman. “There is so much of it around in fashion, but given all the wars being waged around the world, I wonder if it will become taboo?”

Never underestimate the neuroticism – or navel-gazing ability – of a liberal. Allow me to rephrase Hope’s question: “Given all the wars being waged around the world, how can I make this about me?”

Friedman offers sage wisdom.

“The last time I received a similar query was in 2021, just after the Capitol insurrection, when a number of people in the mob were wearing camo gear and other costumes. At the time I suggested to the reader that camo was OK as long as it was clearly a fashion item and didn’t look like a uniform.”

Phew. Don’t throw out those camo pants just yet, reader.

“Today, however, I am changing my advice.”

Scratch that. Friedman, like a high priest of the legacy media’s ecumenical council, has declared a new fashion sin. She cites an email from a military veteran who feels that civilians wearing camo is “akin to stolen valor.” I feel fairly confident in saying that no reasonable person would mistake a 19-year-old girl in camouflage booty shorts for a grizzled Vietnam War vet.

Friedman’s justifications continue.

“And it is because, given the heated and chaotic situation on the streets of the United States, with ICE agents conducting raids, protests spreading and the military parade in Washington drawing thousands of soldiers to the Capitol in full battle dress — as well as wars in Ukraine and the Middle East — wearing camouflage as a fashion statement seems like an increasingly tone-deaf and potentially dangerous choice,” she wrote.

Perhaps Friedman should instead issue warnings to her readers about wearing sombreros or sporting comically large mustaches, lest they be mistaken for a Tom-and-Jerry-style illegal migrant. That’s the degree of hysteria she appears to be enjoying. Friedman warns that camo may be “perceived by someone else as a provocation.” Many readers agree.

“Since my teen years oh so long ago, I’ve never worn camouflage and recoil when I see it on others,” Nina commented. “It’s not a fashion statement; it’s a symbol of war and aggression, things that should never be glorified.”

Another claims she avoids the print because it “subconsciously signals to others that I condone violence, war, hyper-masculinity, the MIC, etc — all of which I find quite problematic.”

Still, not all readers are convinced by Friedman’s expert opinion.

“Wear what you want, people,” says one commenter.

“We’re really in the soup if this is the sort of thing people are thinking about,” writes another.

Poor Friedman. After problematizing cross necklaces and sheath dresses, she appears to have run out of targets. Expect all manner of items to appear on her chopping block: stripes, polka dots, maybe even plaid. At this rate, she’ll have to shell out for an entirely new wardrobe.

Iran’s Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi Says a Transition Plan is in Place if Khamenei Falls

The Iranian regime is a scourge to its own people, Israel and to the West, so to see it fall would be an occasion of celebration. According to Trump:

Iran was “a few weeks away” from developing a nuclear weapon before Israel launched strikes last week…adding that he now seeks “total and complete victory,” not a ceasefire.

But the question of what comes after is another matter. While regime change is not the same thing as nation-building, it is understandable why so many want the current regime to fall. In reading the plethora of reports circulating about the Iranian Islamic regime’s downfall, there is no certainty about what might replace the regime should it fall. One needs also to keep in mind that a majority of Western media has long become activist media, and given their anti-Israel bias, they lack credibility in reporting and analysis.

French President Emmanuel Macron also weighed in, but he is a leftist globalist who has shown little good will to Israel given the historic truth about its deadly enemies. Macron is not so fond of his own country, either, given his open-door immigration policies. He has not protected Western interests; also, he has a habit of calling for “ceasefire” whenever Israel justifiably and prudently retaliates against its enemies and is winning. He did ask one reasonable question, however, that highlights the uncertainly of the fall of the Iranian regime: “Does anyone think Iraq in 2003 or Libya a decade later were good ideas?” Although a valid point for discussion, every situation is different. Iraq and Libya were not nuclear states, and Iran is perhaps the only country where many of its people were celebrating Israeli attacks on their own country.

As Iran continues to grapple with political unrest and calls for reform, Reza Pahlavi, the crown prince of Iran, is an important figure in discussions and debate about the future of Iran. His role could become increasingly central as he provides needed insight, direction and even a possible future role for himself in an Iran free of its current regime. Not only has Netanyahu stated that Israeli attacks “pave way for Iran regime change,” but Pahlavi is calling for regime collapse.

In 2013, Reza Pahlavi established the National Council of Iran in Paris, comprised of  an exiled opposition group. He now lives in America, where he has long been an active voice for regime change in Iran for secularism, human rights and democracy. That vision is a solid one, which will certainly be backed by the dissidents of Iran, by Israel and the US, unlike in the cases of Libya and Iraq, where regime-change efforts lacked vision and a solid plan.

The well-known Iranian-Canadian human rights advocate Shabnam Assadollahi, who was arrested and imprisoned at age 16 for eighteen months in Iran’s most notorious prison, Evin, gave me a statement on Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi’s role in leading Iran’s transition:

Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi is a legitimate and unifying figure, widely recognized by Iranians—particularly those inside Iran—as the trusted leader to guide the country through the critical transition following the fall of the Islamic Republic’s occupying regime. For decades, millions of Iranians have upheld the memory and legacy of the Pahlavi era not only with nostalgia but with renewed calls for national revival, justice, and secular governance.

During nationwide uprisings, particularly in 2017, 2019, and 2022, powerful chants such as «رضاشاه، روحت شاد» (“Reza Shah, may your soul be blessed”) and «ولیعهد کجایی، به داد ما بیایی» (“Crown Prince, where are you? Come to our aid”) resounded across cities and villages alike—despite brutal repression. These are not empty slogans; they are a direct mandate from a people yearning for principled leadership and national sovereignty.

The Iranian people have called upon Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi to lead the transitional phase and prepare the country for a genuinely free, fair, and democratic election—one conducted without interference from the United Nations or any foreign entities whose historical involvement has either empowered theocratic tyranny or compromised Iran’s independence. The future of Iran must be decided by Iranians alone.

Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi has repeatedly emphasized his commitment to secular democracy, human rights, and unity across ethnic and religious lines, positioning him as a transitional figurehead—not for personal power, but for the restoration of a democratic republic or constitutional monarchy, as freely chosen by the Iranian people.

Now more than ever, as the occupying regime loses its grip, the people’s voice is clear: the path forward must be rooted in national dignity, historical continuity, and self-determination. Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi embodies these principles and stands ready to serve—not rule—the people of Iran in this historic transformation.

In the Darkest Tunnels, Hamas Survivors Found God

The worst pain for the hostage families is not knowing. To the 58 pairs of mothers and fathers who crossed into the 600-day threshold of this nightmare last month, the flickers of hope feel fewer and farther between. “Time is running out,” survivor Yocheved Lifshitz said emotionally. Others, looking at pictures of the dozens still in captivity — more than half of whom are almost certainly dead — can’t begin to comprehend the hell they’ve endured. “It’s hard to imagine what they and their families are going through after 600 days,” Jake Teper shook his head. But in these dark nights of the soul, there’s a common theme among the fortunate ones: God never left.

Sapir Cohen, 30

Like so many of the kidnapped, Sapir’s story is one of endurance. When Hamas terrorists burst through the door of her kibbutz, life as she knew it was over. “They [went] home by home, shooting everywhere. And we just wait [for] our time.” Hiding under the bed, she and her boyfriend, Sasha, heard men in black masks finally crash through the entryway. “They took everything,” she remembers, “… and then I heard Sasha scream.” Kidnapped and thrown on a motorcycle, she arrived in Gaza to angry, bloodthirsty mobs. “They beat me so strong that I put [my] hands on my head, and I was like, ‘Please save me. I don’t want to die here.’”

They didn’t kill her, but for 55 days, she existed in underground tunnels, the bleakest surroundings she could have imagined. “It’s really bad. You can’t know if it’s day or night — and you can’t breathe. It’s very hard to breathe.” But it was there, Sapir knows, that she had a spiritual revelation. “I felt miracles,” she says quietly. “I think that one of the biggest miracles that I felt was maybe I’m supposed to be in this place.”

Sapir was held with a terrified 16-year-old girl, who she made it her mission to care for. “And from that moment, when I decided to take this responsibility, I felt so powerful.” She started thanking God for sending her to Gaza. “I know how to use [the strength You gave me] to keep myself and this girl,” she would pray, adding her gratitude for “all the angels you sent me [in] this hell.”

In the dark, she would repeat a prayer, and somewhere deep inside, “I felt peace. And I didn’t understand. How can I feel it in this situation?” She didn’t grow up as a person of faith, but she knows now: she found it in the darkness of the tunnels.

Keith Siegel, 65

Everyone responds differently to captivity. To Keith Siegel, survival meant keeping his mind sharp. “He found his strategy to keep anchored: what number day it was, who he was with, and repeat it and repeat it,” his brother told reporters when he was released. Unlike the other hostages, the American never spent long in one place. By his count, he moved around a total of 33 times during his 482 days in the terrorists’ hands.

He found peace in the quiet moments. “I started saying blessings before meals, ‘Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who brings forth bread from the earth.’ After every meal, I also recited blessings. I didn’t remember all of them, but I saw someone on TV saying, ‘Bor’e Minei Mezonot,’ so I started using that,” Siegel remembered. “I remember saying ‘Shema Yisrael’ twice a day and adding ‘Baruch Shem Kevod Malchuto Le’olam Va’ed Amen.’ The first thing I wanted to do when I returned was kiddush, to bless ‘Hamotzi.’ In Gaza, there’s no alcohol and no grape juice for Kiddush.”

After his wife was released, he realized, grimly, that he might spend months — maybe years — in Hamas’s grip. But “even in the tunnels,” he reflects quietly, “I found ways to feel His presence.” When he was finally reunited with his family, “his daughter asked what he wanted for their first Shabbat meal together,” CBN recounts. “His answer surprised her: ‘You know what I want most of all? A kippah and a Kiddush cup.’”

Eli Sharabi, 52

“I’m not a religious person,” Eli Sharabi tells people now, “but from the first day I was kidnapped, every morning, I said ‘Shema Yisrael,’ which I had never said in my life. The power of faith is insane. There’s something watching over you.”

For 491 days, Eli was trapped in Gaza, not knowing that his wife and two teenage daughters had been killed. When the gunman found the safe room where he and his family were hiding, he offered to give himself up without a fight if they would leave the women alone. “I will be back,” he promised. But they would not be. More than a year and a half later, he learned that his bargain had not spared them. Lianne, Noiva, Yahel, and even their dog, Mocha, had all been executed. “I’m glad I didn’t know they were dead,” he has said. “Because thinking I would return to them is what kept me going.”

Gaunt and in shackles, he repeated those sacred words of Deuteronomy — words he had never uttered — “Hear, Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is one.” At home, his brother would make Kiddush every Friday night, singing a song of blessing. Miles away, when Eli would “whisper his Friday-night prayers in his underground prison, it was not around a fancy table adorned with gleaming silver and fine linens,” Rabbi Areyah Kaltmann pointed out. “But in God’s eyes, his humble Shabbat prayers were holier than the loftiest feast.”

The power of faith, Eli insists now, “is incredible.” Through unspeakable suffering, pain, and now loss, “it was faith that kept us alive.”

Agam Berger, 20

She knows exactly how long they held her: 700,000 minutes. “When Hamas overran the Nahal Oz base on Oct. 7, 2023, many of my friends were murdered,” she has written in the weeks since. “In those harrowing moments, as I was being kidnapped, I had the freedom to choose what to say. I recited, continuously, the same verse that Jews on the threshold of death have said for millennia: Shema Yisrael, ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.’”

For 482 days, she clung to the traditions that felt like home, refusing to violate the Shabbat, even when Hamas threatened them. “We held symbolic Shabbat ceremonies, sometimes with makeshift candles used for life.”

There were times, Agam remembers, that they could hear the radio or see a calendar and “follow the Jewish holidays.” She fasted on Yom Kippur, Tisha B’Av, and the Fast of Esther — “even when I didn’t know when the next meal would come.” “We missed both Hanukkah holidays, but we celebrated Passover…”

At one point, she boldly asked for a Jewish prayer book — a request that one captor laughed at. But two days later, a terrorist returned with one that had probably been left behind by an IDF soldier. “Your God loves you,” she was told.

“We used it throughout our captivity,” Agam reflects.

It was in those days that she learned, “as my forebears did, that imprisonment can’t overwhelm the inner spiritual life. Our faith and covenant with God, the story we remember on Passover, is more powerful than any cruel captor. Even as Hamas tried to coerce me into converting to Islam — at times, forcing a hijab on my head — they couldn’t take away my soul. … I knew I had been chosen by God for something, and that he would protect me.”

Leaving Gaza for the last time on January 30, Agam wrote in Hebrew the saying “that stayed with me for my entire captivity: ‘I chose the path of faith and with the path of faith I have returned.’”

Omer Shem Tov, 22

“May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.” So starts the beginning of Psalm 20 — the same psalm that Shelly Shem Tov would recite every morning in her son’s empty bedroom. Little did she know that miles away in a dark tunnel, her son Omer was meditating on the same words. For days, he had uttered these same verses 130 feet underground, alone.

The New York Times’s Isabel Kershner sat down with Shelly, astonished by what could not be a coincidence. It wasn’t because the family was deeply religious. As the Shem Tovs both admitted, they were largely secular until Omer was snatched by Hamas from the Nova music festival. “A few days into his captivity,” he told Kershner, “he began to speak to God. He made vows. He began to bless whatever food he was given. And he had requests [of God] — some of which he believes were answered.”

“You are looking for something to lean on, to hold onto,” he explained in a recent interview near Tel Aviv. “The first place I went to was God. I would feel a power enter me,” he said. “Faith kept me going,” he insisted. “I always believed I would get home, though I didn’t know how or when.”

For 505 days, Omer tried to “keep kosher.” As he told Kershner, “He promised God that if he got home, he would pray daily with ‘tefillin’ — the small leather boxes containing scriptures that worshipers tie onto their heads and one of their arms for morning prayers.” Like so many others, he tried to survive day by day. Those times when he heard Israeli forces above him had to be the hardest.

“After the November 2023 cease-fire collapsed, Mr. Shem Tov was taken back down into the tunnels and spent the rest of his captivity alone, save for the gunmen who would look in on him. … For 50 days, he sat in a small, stifling cell with hardly any food — as little as one biscuit a day and a few drops of salty water. It was pitch dark most of the time. An asthma sufferer, he could barely breathe. His captors brought him an inhaler. One day, at breaking point, he begged God to take him somewhere — anywhere — else. Ten minutes later, he said, the captors came and moved him to a larger underground chamber with white tiled walls and electricity. ‘It was paradise’ by comparison, he said.”

At one point, his guards brought him materials left behind from the IDF soldiers, hoping he could decode them if they included military strategies. In what can only be described as surreal, “[a]mong the materials, which the captors allowed him to keep, was a card printed with Psalm 20.”

Noa Beer, 30

Noa Beer didn’t linger in the dark tunnels. She’s captive to the horrors she can’t shake. In an emotional interview with The Christian Post, she admitted that she didn’t believe in God “until she found herself surrounded by Hamas terrorists at the Nova Music Festival on October 7, 2023.” Despite a constant spray of bullets whizzing by, not one hit her. “One of the things that people need to understand is that this was a massacre,” she explained somberly. “[Hamas] came there with only one purpose: They came to kill, and they did not care how or who.”

In the moments before the screaming, she remembers looking around at the people of all ages “dancing together in harmony.” Suddenly, the noises of gunfire sent people ducking and running for cover. “Red alert,” she screamed into the crowd. “I could feel the ground shaking from the missiles. It was terrifying, but at the time, all we knew was that there were missiles in the sky, and we needed to lie down on the ground.”

Climbing into a car, Noa thought she could get away. She remembers some people stopping in bomb shelters along the way, which ended up being a death sentence, as Hamas picked off the people at each shelter. “I don’t know what came over me, but I had a very bad gut feeling, and I didn’t want to go into a shelter. That ended up saving our lives.”

Having served as a medic in the Israeli military, she’d stopped to get out of the car and help someone when a bullet flew “right next to me.” “Then another one and another one. I raised my eyes, and I saw there was a terrorist about 20 meters in front of us, just shooting at us like crazy.” Noa remembers the huge smile on his face as he mowed terrified people down. “And I’m thinking to myself, how evil can a person be? I have nothing to defend myself with. You’re enjoying yourself, you’re laughing,” she said.

Desperate to get out of the area, she hit the accelerator. “I truly, to this day, can say that there was an angel guarding me, because the bullets had hit everything around me except me.” She drove to a hospital with some of the wounded concertgoers in her backseat. “They were looking straight at me and shooting straight at me, and they missed,” she said, shaking her head. “So if there isn’t a God, then it’s something else, but I’m guessing it’s a God.”

America inherently is a corrupt country. It cannot be fixed.

British philosopher Lord Acton said, “Power corrupts…and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” He knew human nature all too well.

He might have added, “Longterm power corrupts long-term power holders.”

Our Founding Fathers’ worst mistake was to allow endless political careers for politicians who desire personal wealth and prestige over service to the people. South Carolina’s Strom Thurmond served 49 years as a U.S. Senator before dying in office at age 100. U.S. Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA), wheel-chaired, nearly blind and suffering from dementia died at age 90, while still in office. Joe Biden, suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease, aged 82, wanted to run for another four years as president of the United States, while in fact, his staff illegally “ran” our country because Biden was not in charge of his mental faculties.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, having served for 35 years, wants to serve another two years as she babbles past 84 years of age. At the same time, she fed her husband stock trades as “insider trading” to defense contracts while she voted to keep the Afghanistan-Iraq wars continuing for 20 years. Her corruption sinks as deep as the Mariana Trench at 36,000 feet in depth.

General George S. Patton said, “Politicians are the lowest form of life on Earth. Democrats are the lowest form of politicians.”

When you examine the extraordinary corruption in America’s U.S. Congress—-it’s most disturbing that the majority of 535 Congressional Critters solve very little while letting enormous issues boil out of control. We all pay for those consequences. We paid billions for the Vietnam War. We lost 58,479 young men. That war brought Drug Addictions to America into the millions of kids. It destroyed any sense of “right and wrong” as our politicians and the Military Industrial Complex kept pumping that war up with lies, big lies and more lies for 10 years. All of it for nothing but big bucks in Congressional Pockets and the M.I.C. corporate heads.

Same thing for the 20 year Afghanistan-Iraq War: we lost $6 trillion in that engineered war. We should have fled that war after killing bin Laden in 2011. Instead, once again, the M.I.C. and Congress kept us in it for another 10 years. Over 7,500 kids paid with their lives and over 131,000 soldier suicides since 2001.

All the while, we’re eyeball-deep in a $36 trillion national debt. Our Congress allowed Biden to inject 12 million illegal aliens our midst, at INCREDIBLE COSTS of billions to our citizens. We’ve got over 800,000 homeless Americans sleeping on our streets or slum camps around the country. We’ve got our own governors, senators and mayors protecting, feeding and housing refugees who have invaded our country. Those elected officials violate our laws. What happened to oath of office, serving American citizens, and abiding by our laws?

Then, when you look at what D.O.G.E. has turned up as to the trillions of dollars stolen from American taxpayers over the past 50 years—you gotta’ starting wondering, “What the hell is going on with our corrupt Congressional Critters?”

For certain, my two U.S. Senators, Hickenlooper and Bennet, are both corrupt. They lie, they cheat, they do nothing to serve any of us in my home state of Colorado. My Governor Polis is also corrupt, a liar, and he violates his oath of office to force us into paying for over 50,000 illegal aliens that he invited into Colorado.

When you look at over 25 million of them hanging out in America, it’s all because of Congress and all those long-term corrupt politicians that could give a damn about, we, the American citizens—who are paying for this nightmare in our dead children killed by illegals, drugs everywhere killing over 270,000 kids in the past five years, crime in all 50 states, rapes, shoplifting, failing schools, and resources being sucked up faster than we can begin to understand. Not to mention all the foreign invaders marching around with their countries’ flags instead of ours. You would think that we’ve been conquered by Mexico because that’s the dominant flag being flown from California to New York.

What can we do and what must we do to change the corruption of SO MANY rats in The Swamp of Washington DC? The fact remains: if we had at least 51 percent of them honoring their oath of office, we wouldn’t be in our current mess.

The solution is: TERM LIMITS for all senators and House members. We give them a max of two four-year terms. If they are doing a great job, we give them a second four year term. If not, we dump them after their first four year term. That’s it!

We need fresh American minds in Congress in these critical days in the first quarter of the 21st century. There’s no way an old man like Kentucky’s U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, at 83, should be in charge of our lives with his “forever” career in Washington DC. Same with Charles Schumer of New York. Both of them have held Senate Majority leader chairs, but they solved nothing while in office. And we sure should not tolerate House Member, Somalian illegal immigrant, Ilhan Omar (D-MN) who said this week, “America is the worst country in the world.” We should not tolerate House Member Rashida Talaib (D-MI) from Detroit, siding with Hamas and wrapping herself in a Palestinian flag when Detroit’s Muslim population voted her into office. Both should be deported and/or tossed out of Congress.

So, the solution is: TERM LIMITS! How do we get there because it’s been brought up numerous times, but the bill gets tabled and thrown into the “oblivion” circular file?

We will receive term limits by voting into office elected officials who campaigned for such passage. We can also write our senators and House members in such large numbers that we make it a national calling. It’s got to come from the ground level American citizens in order to become a popular mandate. If you want term limits, you’ve got to speak up, write up, and stand up.

Macron is using the ongoing conflict in Gaza and the Iran-Israel standoff not out of genuine concern, but as tools to pander to the Muslim world

With the war raging between Iran and Israel, few news items beyond reports from the battlefront itself make it into international headlines. The recent G7 Summit in Canada was one event that did manage to breach that barrier, mostly relating to provocative statements and/or actions by Donald Trump. Such, for example, was his decision to leave the Conference after barely a day, and his vehement verbal assault on French President Emmanuel Macron.

Deserved disdain

Trump ridiculed Macron’s assessment of the reasons for his abrupt departure. According to Macron, this was to negotiate a ceasefire between Israel, hinting that this would entail US pressure on Israel. Trump scornfully dismissed Macron’s statement: “Publicity‑seeking President Emmanuel Macron of France mistakenly said that I left the G7 Summit…to work on a ‘cease fire’ between Israel and Iran…Wrong!” and jeered: “Whether purposely or not, Emmanuel always gets it wrong…”

The disdain evident in Trump’s reaction has been well-earned by Macron due to dubious shenanigans over recent years, raising grave doubts regarding his intentions, competence, and motivation. Indeed, one historian, cited in the New York Times, dismissed him as “… neither consequential nor coherent.”

In previous articles, I pointed to his shady dealings with Hezbollah affiliates and his veering away from mainstream Western foreign policy in an apparent attempt to find favor with a growing Muslim segment in the French electorate. Indeed, Macron has also been a leading figure in promoting an arms embargo against an embattled Israel, locked in a mortal, multi-front battle against the forces of Islamic terror. In an uncalled-for admonition, Macron had the brazen gall to accuse Israel of “sowing barbarism” in its struggle to repel the naked barbarism of its enemies.

Gallic gall

France has also been leading the push for a Palestinian state, and until recently, was supposed to co-chair a UN conference this month aimed at advancing the goal of Palestinian statehood. Not only would this profoundly undermine Israeli security, but, in the wake of the October 7th massacre, it would have constituted a resounding reward for terror and barbarism. Indeed, the Trump administration strongly disapproved of the move, discouraging other governments from attending the conference and reportedly warning that any “anti-Israel actions” taken after the conference could be followed by diplomatic consequences from Washington.

Fortunately, the conference has been delayed due to Israel’s preemptive strikes in Iran.

But the catalogue of Paris’s ill-founded malevolence goes on to include the latest act of Gallic gall—the puerile decision to obstruct the view of some Israeli weapon systems at the country’s pavilion at the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget by means of black boards. This comes in the wake of two earlier (illegal) attempts last year to preclude Israeli participation in high-profile French arms exhibitions (Eurosatry, and Euronaval). This latest move was aimed particularly at offensive systems which have been used with great effect around the world.

Money, not morals

Informed sources suggested that the latest anti-Israeli obstructionist measures were not motivated by high-minded concern spurred by the alleged misuse of Israeli weapons but by purely commercial ones, designed to prevent Israel from displaying superior merchandise competing with French-produced systems. Indeed, the French military industry recently took a hit after French-manufactured Rafale jets were reportedly outperformed by Chinese J-10Cs in a recent Indian-Pakistani aerial engagement in Kashmir, which negatively impacted share prices of major French armaments corporations.

Paradoxically—and perhaps predictably—Israel radio reported that the latest French measure succeeded only in piquing the interest of potential purchasers.

Of course, when it comes to humanitarian concerns, France has little room to claim the moral high ground given its brutal record in its former colonies from Indo-China, through Oceania to Central and North-West Africa, where even today the post-independence governments are chafing at the bit to rid themselves of lingering French dominance and military presence.

Pathetic pandering

This leaves the troubling question as to what prompted this poorly timed display of animus by France. According to some sources, at least part of the answer may lie in a recent report, initiated by the French government, that warned that the rapidly growing Muslim influence is becoming a national threat. These sources suggest that by Paris’s newly accentuated pro-Palestinian pivot, Macron is hoping not only to curry favor with, but also placate—this increasingly influential Islamic constituency.

It is indeed disheartening to witness French kowtowing to the same dark forces that barely a decade ago perpetrated acts of barbaric slaughter on the streets of Paris (Charlie Hebdo, Bataclan), preferring instead to sanction the very country, that more than any other, has acted to confront and contain the scourge menacing both nations.

It’s not just EPIC City:  A video was posted on X of another Islamic community developer (not EPIC) talking about their plans for development in the United States. He discusses naming streets after Islamic conquerors, and the group laughs about Islam “taking over” the United States. The developer, for a community not related to EPIC, also mentions how he bought out the city by hiring “everyone the township knows.”

It’s not just Texas:  X post with MEMRI video:  Muslim man says he is buying churches all over Florida and converting them into mosques: “We convert 3 churches into mosques and we looking for more. One day Florida will become Muslim. May Allah give victory to Islam in this country.”

Hijrah by Any Means Necessary – May 23, 2025, Dallas, TX: Two Texas residents, Abdul Hadi Murshid, 39, and Muhammad Salman Nasir, 35, both originally from Pakistan, a law firm, and a business entity were charged by indictment with conspiracy to defraud the United States, visa fraud, money laundering conspiracy, and Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act (RICO) conspiracy. These defendants are charged with engaging in extensive measures to hide a massive, multi-year, immigration fraud scheme through which they reaped substantial personal financial gain.

May 14, 2025, Warren, Michigan : A Melvindale man – and former member of the Michigan Army National Guard – was arrested after he attempted to carry out a plan to conduct a mass-shooting at a U.S. military base in Warren, Michigan, on behalf of the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), a foreign terrorist organization. Ammar Abdulmajid-Mohamed Said, 19, is charged in a criminal complaint with attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization and distributing information related to a destructive device.

May 21, 2025, Washington, DC: A pro-Palestinian man is in custody after allegedly killing two Israeli embassy staff members who were leaving an event at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., authorities confirmed. A 30-year-old man identified as Elias Rodriguez, of Chicago, is believed to have committed the act alone and is in custody, adding that his gun was also recovered. While in custody, he yelled “Free, free Palestine!”. “Elias Rodriguez was reportedly associated with the Party for Socialism and Liberation.

April 23, 2025, Fairfax, VA: On April 23, 2025, at 2:36 p.m., an officer with the Fairfax County Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Majestic Lane after noticing an expired safety sticker on the front window of a 1999 Toyota Corolla. The car was being driven by 36-year-old Jamal Wali of Fairfax. Wali informed the officer he was armed before going on an insane rant about how much he hates the United States. At one point Wali, who was allegedly brought to the US in 2014 after working as an interpreter for the US forces, shouted, “I should have served with the fucking Taliban! Wali grabbed his firearm and fired shots at the police officers on the driver’s side. Two officers were each hit in the arm with the same bullet.

April 30, Orlando: Hashem Younis Hashem Hnaihen, 44, a Jordanian national residing illegally in Orlando, was sentenced on April 30 to six years in federal prison for threatening to use explosives and destruction of an energy facility. A restitution hearing will be held at a future date to address the more than $450,000 in damages Hnaihen caused.

April 17, Mankato, MN: Mohamed Adan Mohamed, 24, of St. Peter, faces several charges after a shoplifting arrest led authorities to find what they believe were plans and supplies for a coordinated attack. Left behind in the store he fled, Mohamed was carrying a list labeled, “Survival Gear with Alternative” that included a sleeping bag, lighters, eight magazines, knives, pepper spray, a “6-mag chest right,” bows and arrows. Law enforcement believes there were “strong indicators that Mohamed was preparing to conduct some sort of mass casualty event in the next 24 hours.”

April 6, 2025, western US: Zimnako Salah planted fake bombs across four churches in Arizona, California, and Colorado and worked separately to construct a real one, according to a U.S. jury that found the 45-year-old guilty. At two of the churches, Saleh was confronted by security before he was able to plant the fake bombs. However, in two instances, he was able to strap the items to bathrooms and call in a fake bomb threat to incite panic. While causing bomb scares,  Salah had been constructing an IED capable of fitting in a backpack, the department said. An FBI Bomb Technician seized items from a storage locker belonging to Salah that an FBI Bomb Expert testified at trial served as component parts of an improvised explosive device.

April 17, 2025, Yonkers, NY: Ahmed Al Jabali, 34, pleaded guilty Thursday, April 17, to second-degree assault as a hate crime after he was promised a prison term of six years with three years of post-release supervision. On Aug. 29, Al Jabali was in the Yonkers Avenue barbershop of Slava Shushakov to get a shave when he grabbed a pair of scissors and began attacking Shushakov while calling him a “[expletive] Jew.”

April 25, 2025, Pittsburgh, PA: A Pennsylvania Air National Guard member, who prosecutors say supports the Hamas terrorist group, has been federally indicted for lying on a top-secret security clearance application and making explosive devices. Mohamad Hamad, a 23-year-old Coraopolis, Allegheny County, resident; Tayla Lubit, 24, of Pittsburgh; and Micaiah Collins, 22, of Pittsburgh have been charged in a superseding indictment. Hamad is charged with conspiracy, making false statements, defacing and damaging a religious building, and possession of destructive devices, including two pipe bombs. In July 2024, Hamad drove to State College and tested the explosives with a friend at Rothrock State Park. Lubit is charged with conspiracy and defacing and damaging a religious building, and Collins is charged with conspiracy. Prosecutors said Hamad applied for a top-secret security clearance and lied during three separate interviews. [2024 article]

April 25, 2025, Oklahoma : Abdullah Haji Zada, 18, a native and citizen of Afghanistan and U.S. lawful permanent resident, pleaded guilty today to a criminal information charging him with knowingly receiving, attempting to receive, and conspiring to receive a firearm and ammunition to be used to commit a federal crime of terrorism. Zada and a co-conspirator received two AK-47-style rifles and 500 rounds of ammunition, knowing that the firearms and ammunition would be used in connection with a terrorist attack on Election Day in November 2024 on behalf the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), a designated foreign terrorist organization. Zada was arrested with co-conspirator Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, 27, also a citizen of Afghanistan, in October 2024.

April 12, 2025, Atlanta, GA: The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested 25-year-old Aliakbar Mohammed Amin in Georgia for making direct threats against President Donald Trump, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and the White House. Amin was taken into custody in Lilburn, a suburb of Atlanta, where FBI agents reportedly confiscated a firearm during the arrest.

25 JAN 2025; Orion Township, Michigan: A caseworker has been hospitalized after authorities say he was stabbed in Orion Township. The sheriff’s office said the suspect was identified as a refugee from Afghanistan and the caseworker was employed by a company that assists refugees. Authorities said the victim, who is employed by Samaritas, was taken into surgery. Samaritas, which was set up to help Swedish immigrants come to America and is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church decided to instead embark on a course of bringing Afghan Muslims to America.

REPORT: Police Accuse Repeat-Offender Protester For Setting 11 Of Their Cars On Fire

The New York City Police Department (NYPD) identified New Jersey native Jakhi Lodgson-McCray as the suspect behind the torching of 11 police vehicles in Brooklyn earlier in June. The suspect has a criminal history and was arrested prior at multiple pro-Palestine protests, according to authorities.

NYPD said Wednesday that the 21-year-old suspect climbed over the gate at 1:00 a.m. June 12 at a parking lot one block from the Bushwick neighborhood’s police station and placed fire starters on the hoods, windshields and tires of police cars. Ensuing fires caused upwards of 800,000 dollars of damage, according to the New York Post. NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said “we do believe that he acted alone, and obviously he targeted this location because it is a police facility.” The suspect was allegedly captured by surveillance cameras fleeing the scene on foot and is still reportedly at large. Kenny added that the suspect changed his disguise “several times during his escape.”

The NYPD’s social media accounts posted photos Wednesday of Lodgson-McCray, adding that “there is zero tolerance for anyone who attacks the NYPD.”

Police are also investigating whether he is responsible for a similar attempt to set a police van ablaze Wednesday in another part of Brooklyn.

Though police have not confirmed a connection, Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams suggested that the crime was motivated by recent anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) riots. Lodgson-McCray’s extensive record of arrests — dating back to 2023 — includes an incident at an anti-ICE protest in May and for burning a flag at a city embassy as part of an anti-Israel demonstration, according to authorities.

The suspect was wanted previously for causing over 1,000 dollars of damage last fall to a Columbia University statue during pro-Palestine protests, police said. He reportedly has two open criminal cases, the first for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest for allegedly obstructing traffic May 28 and another for assault and resisting arrest in May 2024. He has pleaded not guilty in both cases and was released without bail.

Fellow Veterans — did you know that the VA has stripped the rights to possess firearms from over 250,000 veterans by reporting them to the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS)?

Because of this totally wrong VA determination process without any judicial hearing or due process and related loss of 2nd Amendment rights, some veterans refuse to use VA health care for fear of inadvertently making a disqualifying statement or disclosing a disabling condition.

There is now a Bill in the House, HR 1041 the Veterans 2nd Amendment Protection Act to end the VA’s arbitrary and unconstitutional practice of automatically sending veteran’s names to NICS simply because they might need a fiduciary to assist them in managing their finances. In other words they ae presumed guilty of being a danger to themselves or others and stripped of their 2A rights (similar to unconstitutional Red Flag Laws and their Risk Protection Orders with out Due Process which 18 states have in affect).

So far HR 1041 has 50 co-sponsors to this bill submitted by Mike Bost (R-Ill), a USMC veteran. Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) is championing the cause in the house. See here.

Veterans Affairs strips 250000 veterans of gun rights without due process or medical evidence

The Subcommittee on Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs held an oversight hearing on January 14, 2025, focusing on the Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) practices regarding veterans’ rights, particularly concerning firearm ownership. The meeting highlighted significant concerns about the VA’s process for reporting veterans to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).

A key point of discussion was the VA’s policy of reporting veterans who require fiduciaries to manage their finances due to disabilities. It was noted that this practice has led to over 250,000 veterans being stripped of their constitutional right to possess and purchase firearms without any due process. Critics argued that these veterans, who have served to protect the Constitution, are being denied their Second Amendment rights without sufficient justification.

The subcommittee emphasized that the VA reports these veterans to the NICS list without any judicial ruling or medical evidence indicating that they pose a danger to themselves or others. There was a strong assertion that the current system lacks necessary safeguards, as no medical professional is required to assess a veteran’s risk before they are reported. The report says there was “no radiation danger whatsoever” and that the facility had already been evacuated before the attack.

Israel warned earlier in the morning it would attack the facility and urged the public to flee the area.

The research reactor was partially built, with Tehran informing the UN nuclear watchdog that it planed to begin operating the facility next year.

DNC Reportedly May Need To Borrow Cash To Keep Lights On

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has been grappling with infighting and a decline in donations in recent months, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

DNC Chair Ken Martin, who was elected in February, has overseen slowing fundraising from major donors, the NYT reported. Some top DNC officials have even floated the idea of whether it may be necessary to start borrowing money to continue paying the bills, according to the NYT.

Six anonymous sources told the NYT that major Democratic donors have been extremely slow to donate to the party this year. Additionally, two anonymous sources told the outlet that senior DNC officials have even floated the idea of potentially borrowing money in the coming months.

Rufus Gifford, who served as the finance chairman of former Vice President Kamala Harris’ 2024 presidential campaign, told the NYT that Democrats “need to come together and focus on the issues at hand.”

“What they are seeing is headline after headline of incompetence and infighting, and I think that is a real problem not just for the DNC but for the larger Democratic brand,” Gifford told the outlet. “We need to come together and focus on the issues at hand. That’s got to happen now. And I mean today. And if that can’t happen, we need to shift course.”

Democratic Wisconsin Rep. Mark Pocan told the NYT that the recent drama in the DNC was “worse than some high school student council drama.”

Martin told the NYT that he believes many major Democratic donors were “frustrated” by the results of the 2024 elections.

“People invested more money than they ever had before, they dug deeper than they ever had, and they are quite frustrated by the result,” Martin told the outlet. “They want answers. I don’t take it personally. I wasn’t in charge.”

“I know there’s a lot of people that are carrying grudges, that are still litigating the campaign that their person didn’t win,” Martin told the NYT. “I am not one of those people. There’s no sense of living in the past. I have no enemies other than Donald Trump and the Republican Party.”

The NYT’s report comes shortly after David Hogg, a gun control activist who was elected to serve as one of the DNC’s vice chairs in February, sparked massive backlash in the Democratic Party after he announced in April plans to primary incumbent Democrats. On June 11, the DNC voted to remove Hogg from his vice chair position and require him to run again due to a procedural complaint, Politico first reported.

On June 8, leaked audio revealed that Martin expressed concern about Hogg’s ability to lead the party due to the infighting his decisions had ignited, according to Politico. Martin notably paused twice and appeared to choke up during the recording, according to the outlet.

Moreover, Randi Weingarten, the longtime head of the American Federation of Teachers, and Lee Saunders, the president of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, announced they were leaving the DNC, the NYT reported on Sunday. Both of the union leaders had backed Martin’s main opponent in the DNC chair election earlier this year, Wisconsin Democratic Party chair Ben Wikler, according to the NYT.

Still, some Democrats have defended Martin’s leadership, including Maria Cardona, a longtime DNC member, who told the NYT that he “does the work” and “rolls up the sleeves.”

“Everything that Ken has done, regardless of the drama that it has caused, has been the right moves,” Cardona told the outlet. “He does the work. He rolls up the sleeves.”

A DNC spokesperson did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

Israel recently learned from its agents inside Iran — presumably native informants working with Mossad — that Iran’s nuclear scientists had successfully completed tests of their design of a nuclear weapon. This meant that Iran was potentially only weeks away from being able to produce such a weapon, and that intolerable threat had to be dealt with without delay. More on Israel’s discovery that prompted the attack, can be found here: “Israel found Iran carried out key tests for nuke design ahead of strikes — report,” Times of Israel, June 15, 2025:

Ahead of its strikes on Iran, Israel discovered that the Islamic Republic’s scientists had conducted successful experiments in the design process of a nuclear weapon, bringing it weeks away from being able to produce a bomb if it chose to do so, according to a Hebrew media report Sunday.

This “golden information” was presented by intelligence officials to the political leadership before the decision was made to carry out preemptive strikes Friday, along with the concern that Israel didn’t know everything and that Tehran could be at an even more advanced stage in building a nuclear bomb than the available information showed, Army Radio reported, citing unnamed security officials.

According to the report, Iran gathered scientists and split them into several working groups to labor in secret on components of the process of weaponizing nuclear material into an actual explosive device, beginning around the end of 2023 or the start of 2024 — shortly after Hamas’s October 7 onslaught, which sparked the ongoing war in Gaza.

This aspect of designing a nuclear device ran in parallel to Iran’s enrichment of uranium to levels that have no use for civilian purposes, but are required to build a nuclear bomb. According to an International Atomic Energy Agency report at the end of May, Iran’s stockpile of uranium, if enriched further, was enough to build nine nuclear weapons.

The Israel Defense Forces managed to monitor the secret weapons process, which left Jerusalem with no doubt that Iran had decided to build a nuclear weapon after the massacre in southern Israel, Army Radio said.

A senior Israeli military official said Saturday that “all the scientists eliminated in the opening strikes had, over the years, been involved in developing the nuclear detonation device.”

The IDF named nine Iranian nuclear scientists it assassinated in the opening strikes, and detailed its efforts to kill them.

They were named as: Fereydoon Abbasi, expert in nuclear engineering; Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, expert in physics; Akbar Motalebi Zadeh, expert in chemical engineering; Saeed Barji, expert in materials engineering; Amir Hassan Fakhahi, expert in physics; Abd al-Hamid Minoushehr, expert in reactor physics; Mansour Asgari, expert in physics; Ahmad Reza Zolfaghari Daryani, expert in nuclear engineering; and Ali Bakhouei Katirimi, expert in mechanics.

“All the scientists and experts who were eliminated were significant sources of knowledge in the Iranian nuclear project, and had decades of cumulative experience in the development of nuclear weapons,” the IDF said….

Think of the extraordinary level of planning by the IDF to know exactly where each of those nine scientists lived in Tehran, a city of 9.5 million people, and exactly, too, where each of them would be on a particular day at a particular time.

It likely will take not days, but weeks, to completely end Iran’s nuclear threat, and to destroy as well its vast arsenal of ballistic missiles and its ballistic missile factories. In order to sufficiently damage or destroy the uranium enrichment facilities built underground at Natanz, and those built inside a mountain at Fordow. These sites will have to be repeatedly hit so as to smash through their thick cement walls; should the Americans decide to provide Israel with their largest — 30,000 pound — bunker-buster bombs, and the bombers able to deliver them, this could hasten that destruction.

Meanwhile, Iranian physicists and engineers trained in nuclear physics are likely to be rethinking their career choices. Perhaps teaching high school science classes would be, in every respect, a better choice.

FBI Director Kash Patel announced the declassification of documents alleging Chinese involvement in producing fraudulent driver’s licenses intended for fake mail-in ballots supporting President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election. Mr. Patel made the announcement on X and immediately turned the documents over to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley for review.

The FBI intelligence report, originally from the Albany, New York field office and dated September 25, 2020, detailed concerns that Beijing mass-produced fake American driver’s licenses to influence the 2020 election through phony mail-in ballots. The report was subsequently recalled with instructions to destroy all copies and remove it from computer systems, reportedly to re-interview the source.

According to the allegations, the Chinese Communist Party planned to create voter identities for Chinese residents in the United States, enabling them to vote via fraudulent mail-in ballots supporting former President Biden. The FBI learned of this effort in August 2020, but intelligence reports were recalled for unspecified reasons. The plot allegedly involved manufacturing fake driver’s licenses and shipping them to the United States specifically to facilitate election fraud.

Sen. Grassley has requested additional documentation from the FBI, including records related to the report’s recall and re-interview process. He also questioned why former FBI Director Christopher Wray ordered the report’s destruction. The Iowa Republican had previously raised concerns about fake driver’s licenses in the 2020 election and pressed for further FBI investigation.

Customs and Border Protection data supports concerns about fraudulent documents, reporting 1,513 seizures containing fake documents in the first half of 2020, including nearly 20,000 counterfeit U.S. driver’s licenses at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Most shipments originated from Hong Kong and China, with many licenses designed for college-age students.

Some fake Michigan licenses were particularly sophisticated, featuring working barcodes.

The founding fathers aimed to ensure our liberty under law, in conformity with the “laws of Nature and of Nature’s God.” Natural law refers to the moral law the Creator has impressed upon the world. For example, Samuel Adams once wrote: “Thou shall do no injury to thy neighbor, is the voice of nature and reason, and it is confirmed by written revelation.”

But today, we see a lot of anarchy in the streets. Some of it is spontaneous, perhaps. But recent reports indicate that organizations are behind the funding of paid protesters for the anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles.

It’s interesting to note how some of the key goals of the Constitution include to:

  • “establish Justice,
  • “insure domestic Tranquility”
  • “provide for the common defense”

But the violence in the streets works against these goals.

We saw that rioting began in Los Angeles. When ICE planned to arrest some alleged criminals, who are not only here illegally but are also alleged to have committed serious crimes, there was pushback from many protesters. They have burned the cars of the police or ICE agents. President Trump called in the National Guard and even several hundred Marines.

Then, over the weekend, there were many protests in various places around the country against President Trump. They called this the “No Kings” movement, as if the president was acting like a king. Generally, these protests did indeed appear to be “mostly peaceful.”

The major bone of contention seems to be how to deal with the millions of illegal immigrants who poured through the previous administration’s porous borders.

Many on the left see themselves as being compassionate in their stance on behalf of illegal immigrants, even those who may have committed heinous crimes while here in America.

Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz told the graduating class of the University of Minnesota last month: “Donald Trump’s modern-day Gestapo is scooping folks up off the streets…They’re in unmarked vans, wearing masks, being shipped off to foreign torture dungeons.”

You see, to the left, Waltz is compassionate. Trump is tyrannical. Other sanctuary politicians smugly feel the same.

But such “compassion” is compassion run amok. The great British Christian writer, G. K. Chesterton, wrote about that notion in his 1908 book, Orthodoxy. He argued against taking Christian virtues—like compassion—out of their context and turning them on their heads.

Here’s a portion of what Chesterton wrote:  “When a religious scheme is shattered…it is not merely the vices that are let loose. The vices are, indeed, let loose, and they wander and do damage. But the virtues are let loose also; and the virtues wander more wildly, and the virtues do more terrible damage.”

What does he mean? He means that, divorced from their Christian framework, “virtues”  become wrong and vice versa. He goes on, “The modern world is full of the old Christian virtues gone mad. The virtues have gone mad because they have been isolated from each other and are wandering alone. Thus some scientists care for truth; and their truth is pitiless. Thus some humanitarians only care for pity; and their pity (I am sorry to say) is often untruthful.”

Compassion without justice—and at the cost of others—is not compassionate.

In the name of compassion, the left is going to the mat for drug cartels, human traffickers, kidnappers, rapists, murderers, and so on.

Being a “sanctuary city” or a “sanctuary state” sounds so noble and kind. But is it?

Congresswoman Elise Stefanik grilled New York Governor Kathy Hochul last week in a brilliant tour de force. She asked the governor if she had heard of this person or that. Each of them were victims (in one case, fatally) of crimes committed by illegal immigrants, thanks to the “sanctuary” policy of New York. The governor’s response was a bland, “refresh my memory.”

So, for example, Stefanik reminded Hochul of how the undocumented Sebastian Zapete-Calil reportedly lit on fire and burned to death American Debrina Kawan, in the New York City subway system on December 22, 2024. Is it compassionate to let these illegals roam our streets? Compassionate to whom? Certainly not to the victims of their crimes, nor to those who have to foot the bill for medical care, welfare, and other benefits.

In the early days of the republic, our first president had to deal with an armed resistance of Pennsylvania farmers—in the Whiskey Rebellion.

This got so much out of hand that the president was going to send troops to quell the insurrection. In a Proclamation dated August 7, 1794, President George Washington said, “[I] do hereby command all persons, being insurgents as aforesaid…to disperse and retire peaceably to their respective abodes.” Thankfully, the rebellion soon dissipated.

The United States—then and now—stands for liberty, not anarchy.

One of the foremost tools in the president’s belt is his peerless platform to persuade — what President Teddy Roosevelt called “such a bully [that is, ‘superb’] pulpit.” Some presidents — Joe Biden, for example — never know how to fill the pulpit, often seeing themselves as victims of public opinion rather than shapers of it. But epoch-shaping presidents succeed in hammering out a vision that brings public opinion along with their agenda.

On Israel’s war with Iran, President Trump is striving to be the latter type — both in the U.S. and overseas. Recognizing that — except for committed partisans — neither the world nor the American public has settled into a hardened opinion of the conflict, Trump is working to shape that perception. A prudent smith knows to strike while the iron is hot.

On Monday, Trump made waves at the G7 summit in Kananaskis, Alberta, when he refused to sign onto a draft statement about the Israel-Iran conflict. The draft “called for both sides to protect civilians and for tight monitoring of Iran’s nuclear facilities,” according to The Telegraph. The other members of the G7 — Canada, the U.K., France, Germany, Italy, and Japan — all agreed to the statement. But Trump insisted that Iran not be allowed to perform any uranium enrichment.

Perhaps surprisingly, given Trump’s rocky history with international leaders, the American president got his way. In the final statement, the G7 leaders affirmed “that Israel has a right to defend itself” and that “Iran is the principal source of regional instability and terror.” The call for both sides to protect civilians was modified to “affirm[ing] the importance of the protection of civilians,” without insinuating a fault on Israel’s part. The statement was also “clear that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon.”

Having bent the heads of the world’s economic powerhouses to his will, Trump jetted back to Washington, D.C. a day early, canceling meetings with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, to monitor war developments from the Situation Room. “I have to be back,” he told reporters. “You probably see what I see, and I have to be back as soon as I can.” After all, the U.S. has numerous bases and troops in range of Iranian missiles.

But Trump did far more than monitor the situation. At 6:30 p.m., he posted on Truth Social, “Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!”

Trump’s concluding sentence might seem at first like a non-sequitur. But the background for the statement came as Israel was warning Iranian civilians that it would strike “very significant targets, strategic targets, targets of the regime and infrastructure” in Tehran on Tuesday. In other words, it served to warn Iran that more severe Israeli airstrikes are yet to come.

The next morning, Trump added further commentary on his return to the White House. “Publicity seeking President Emmanuel Macron, of France, mistakenly said that I left the G7 Summit, in Canada, to go back to D.C. to work on a ‘cease fire’ between Israel and Iran,” he wrote. “Wrong! He has no idea why I am now on my way to Washington, but it certainly has nothing to do with a Cease Fire. Much bigger than that. Whether purposely or not, Emmanuel always gets it wrong. Stay Tuned!”

How mysterious! Trump certainly knows how to build suspense. Jabs at Macron aside, the world must be wondering what Trump could be working on that is “much bigger” than a ceasefire.

Perhaps the best insight into Trump’s tease involves a look in the rearview mirror, specifically to the overlooked coincidences preceding Israel’s strike on Iran.

Last Thursday offered a curious confluence of events. First, in a motion brought by the U.S. and European allies, the IAEA board ruled that Iran was not in compliance with its treaty obligations to submit to oversight of its nuclear stockpiles, provoking a belligerent response from Iran. Second, Trump said Thursday marked the 60th day of negotiations with Iran on April 12; in March, he gave Iran an ultimatum to reach a nuclear deal in 60 days or face the consequences. Finally, that night, Israel attacked.

It would be a striking coincidence if all these events occurred independently of one another in 24 hours. In fact, it is far more likely that they did not. Recall that the Trump administration was behind the IAEA vote at its June meeting, and the Trump administration was behind both the 60-day ultimatum and the scheduling of each diplomatic meeting. As recently as May 28, Trump told reporters that he was warning Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. But Trump has shown nothing but support since Israel’s attack began Thursday night.

The close proximity of these swift changes raises questions: did the Trump administration plan it this way? Was Israel in on the plan beforehand, or did they simply take advantage of the moment?

Planned or not, Thursday’s events gave Israel the best possible diplomatic cover to attack Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Not only had Iran exceeded the White House’s 60-day deadline, but it also received its first-ever formal rebuke by U.N. nuclear inspectors — to which Iran responded with an angry snarl. How often can Israel legitimately claim that the U.N. is on its side about anything? The result is, Iran was exposed for the irresponsible rogue actor that it is; in fact, it irrevocably cast itself as the bad guy.

If the Trump administration did orchestrate the timing, then it prepared the world to look more favorably on Israel’s assault when it finally came.

Israel “clearly couldn’t wait any longer for their own good,” said Senator Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.). “Nobody is on the clock quite like Israel when it comes to the acquisition of nuclear weapons by Iran. So, I don’t blame them a bit for doing it. I’m grateful to see President Trump’s strong support for it.”

“I’m equally grateful,” Cramer continued, “to see that we haven’t risked any American lives in the effort.” This raises another aspect of the president’s calculation: that some elements of his “America First” base are resistant to drawing our nation into the war.

Thus far, the Trump administration has effectively argued that the U.S. has taken no part in strikes against Iran, although it has helped Israel shoot down incoming missiles. This — along with Iran’s preoccupation with more pressing issues — has spared American bases from any imminent attacks. In fact, Trump is playing “good cop” to Israel’s “bad cop,” offering to resume negotiations with the Iranian regime if it becomes willing to reach a deal.

But this phase in the relationship may not endure forever. The U.S. military is moving additional equipment closer to the region. Two dozen tanker planes relocated from North America to Europe this week, and the U.S.S. Nimitz carrier strike group is racing from the Pacific theater towards the Middle East. As President Trump shuffles pieces around the board, the most important question in chess looms in the forefront: what’s the next move?

Declaring that Tehran’s “suppression mechanism is in a state of collapse,” Pahlavi insists the final blow must come from the streets:

“Only a mass uprising is necessary for this nightmare to come to an end forever.” Now is the time to stand up. Now is the time to reclaim.”

He summons every province to join the revolt:

“All together. From Bandar Abbas to Bandar Anzali, from Shiraz to Isfahan, from Tabriz to Zahedan, from Mashhad to Ahvaz, from Shahr-e-Kord (city) to Kermanshah, let’s make our presence known And end this regime.”

Anticipating fears of post-revolution chaos, the former prince—who left Iran in 1978 and now champions a secular democracy—offers a roadmap:

“Do not worry about the future after the fall of the Islamic Republic.
Iran will not become a place of civil war and instability.
We have plans for the future of Iran After the collapse.
We are ready for first the 100 day plan after the fall of the Islamic Republic, and the establishment of a national and democratic government for the people of Iran and in the hands of the people of Iran.”

Pahlavi pleads with soldiers, police, and bureaucrats to abandon the dying order:

“Do not try to preserve the corrupt and rotten regime that has begun its fall, and it is certain. Stand with the people and do not stand against the People of Iran. Do not sacrifice yourself for a rotten regime. By standing with the people, save your lives.”

He closes with a promise of renewal:

“Play a historical role in the building of Iran and contribute to the future of Iran. A free and prosperous Iran is ahead of us.”

With Iran’s economy in free-fall, protests simmering, and regional tensions at a breaking point, Pahlavi’s message lands like a match on dry tinder. Whether the call ignites a nationwide uprising or is smothered by the regime’s remaining loyalists will shape the destiny of 85 million Iranians.

Many 2024 voters who supported President Donald Trump appear to line up with his support of Israel against Iran while calling for limits, according to polling data.

Two polls, released by Democracy Institute (DI) and Gray House respectively, asked Trump voters about direct U.S. military action against Iran. DI specifically asked the question “Should America Go to War, Including Deploying Ground Troops, Against Iran,” according to a screenshot obtained by the Daily Caller. The survey polled 2024 voters generally and provided specific percentages for working class 2024 voters and Trump 2024 voters.

Of the 1,150 Trump 2024 voters DI surveyed, 64% voted against use of ground forces while 26% voted in favor, meaning approximately 736 voted “no.” Fifty-three percent of all 2024 voters surveyed also opposed deploying ground troops while 60% of 2024 working class voters voiced opposition, the screenshot shows.

The poll was conducted from Saturday to Monday and carries an across the margin of error (MOE) of ±3%. The results fall within a 95% confidence interval. 1,500 total 2024 voters and 1,250 working class 2024 voters participated, according to the screenshot.

Sixty-seven percent of Trump 2024 voters strongly supported Israel’s attack on Iran while 16% somewhat supported it, according to a Gray House poll titled “Israel Iran Poll Results” that surveyed 450 people. On Israel’s Gaza military operations, 70% expressed strong support while 15% were somewhat supportive.

35% strongly supported direct American military intervention to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons while 37% somewhat supported doing so. Notably, the question does not mention ground troops.

Fifty-seven percent considered Iran a “very serious threat” to U.S. nationals security while 74% said they were “very concerned” about Iran possibly developing a nuclear weapon.

Fifty-eight percent of those surveyed strongly supported providing Israel with offensive weapons while 68% of respondents expressed strong support for providing defensive ones. Respondents favored intelligence sharing even more, with 76% strongly supporting the U.S. helping Israel in this manner.

48% of respondents strongly supported the U.S. providing military support to help Israel defend itself against Iranian attacks. Gray House’s survey was conducted between Saturday and Sunday, with a margin of error of ±4.8%.

Israel attacked Iran on June 12, targeting the country’s nuclear program. They also killed multiple Iranian officials and nuclear scientists. Trump responded Friday — the same day Iran retaliated — by saying he gave the mullahs a 60-day deadline to reach an agreement and reiterating his call for negotiations. He has also repeatedly said Iran should not be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon.

Talks over the 60-day period made little progress as Tehran insisted on maintaining civilian-grade uranium enrichment, something Trump has opposed. Trump said Sunday that the U.S. was not directly involved but acknowledged that future involvement was a possibility.

He has reportedly considered a strike on Iran and claimed Tuesday on Truth Social that “we know” the precise location of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.



Trump left the Group of Seven Summit early Monday and ordered that the National Security Council come in for a high-level Situation Room meeting. This took place Tuesday.

Vice President JD Vance praised Trump for showing consistency and restraint and highlighted “crazy stuff” online in a Tuesday post amid criticism and calls for the president’s impeachment.

The White House is exploring the possibility of a meeting this week between U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to move toward a nuclear deal and cessation of hostilities, four sources briefed on the matter told Axios.

Palestinian Media Watch recently published a report on Fatah’s Waed children’s magazine, covering every issue published over the last eight years. The messages conveyed to Palestinian children via this publication confirm that the goal of the Palestinian Authority and Fatah was always, and remains, not two states, but rather Israel’s destruction and replacement by “Palestine.”

The following is an executive summary of the report, titled “Teaching Terror to Tots,” which will be released in full at the GPO’s Christian Media Summit in Jerusalem this week.

Fatah, the ruling political movement of the Palestinian Authority, runs a youth movement for Palestinian children ages 6-15, which publishes a children’s magazine called Waed (Arabic for “Promise”). The magazine is published on the youth movement’s website and distributed at Fatah and P.A. activities and in P.A. schools. Waed is the antithesis of peace education. Whereas not all the material in the magazine promotes hatred of Israelis and Israel, all references in it to Israelis and Israel are hateful.

Waed’s fundamental messages are that Israelis are foreign colonialist invaders, and therefore Israel has no right to exist. Palestinians, led by Fatah, will continue the heroic “armed struggle” until the invaders are defeated and leave. There is no hint of Israel’s legitimacy, nor of the possibility that Israel will coexist alongside a liberated Palestine.

A fictitious past creates a violent future

Fatah’s rewriting of the past generates its vision for the future. A fictitious 5,000-year-old “Canaanite Palestinian Arab” people is invented as the pretext for all Palestinian rights. The erasure of authentic Jewish history in the land is the pretext for denying Jews any rights there today. Israelis are branded as “foreigners who came from all ends of the earth, foreigners who did not know Palestine and did not live in it – neither them nor their fathers and forefathers” (Waed, Issue 36, p. 2). Every city in Israel and every centimeter of Israel are said to be parts of the “stolen” Palestinian “homeland.”

Accordingly, Israel is delegitimized as the “thieving entity” and Israelis are demonized as the “Jewish invaders” and “Zionist invaders.” Fatah proclaims it will destroy Israel by “liberating Palestine from the thieving Zionist entity” (Waed, Issue 32, p. 3). Israel’s destruction is packaged in various euphemisms, such as: “the period of Zionism will eventually pass,”and “there is no invader who… did not leave it [Palestine] defeated.” (Waed, Issue 27, p. 23).

This inevitable “liberation” of Palestine will be nothing less than Palestinian “victims” achieving justice, since the Palestinians have the “absolute right” to “take back [their] rights in full” (Waed, Issue 26,p. 12).

Waed is emphatic that Fatah’s goal is to end Israel’s existence, and not merely Israel’s control over the West Bank. The references to “Palestine,” “stolen homeland” and “occupation” always include all of Israel. So do all the maps of “Palestine.”

Demonization

In addition to delegitimizing Israel the state, the P.A./Fatah demonizes Israelis as individuals, calling them evil, racist, bloodthirsty killers, through expressions like the “giant Israeli murder machine,” “Zionist gangs” and “the blood of Gaza’s children did not quench the thirst of the Israeli monster.” Among the many libels it disseminates, the magazine accuses Israel of Nazi-like horrors.

For the P.A./Fatah, this fabricated history is the foundation of Palestinian destiny. The Waed message: Israel was created by theft, its continued existence is a crime, and its termination via “armed struggle” is justified and inevitable.

This hate education will be the driving force for the next generation of Palestinian terrorism.

President Donald Trump arrived in Washington, D.C., early Tuesday morning after abruptly leaving the G7 summit in Canada to address the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.

Trump had reportedly requested that the National Security Council be prepared in the situation room.

Trump said Tuesday: “I have no desire to negotiate with Iran. I expect nothing less than their complete surrender.”

“I have not reached out to Iran for ‘Peace Talks’ in any way, shape, or form,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “This is just more highly fabricated, fake news…”

“Today we are about to strike very significant targets—strategic, governmental, and infrastructure—inside Tehran,” Defense Minister Israel’s Minister of Defense Israel Katz said. “The IDF spokesman will issue an evacuation call in Persian.”

“There are over 10 nuclear targets in the Tehran area. We are on the verge of destroying them. Fordow is also a matter that will certainly be addressed.”

President Donald Trump said Tuesday as he was landing in Washington, D.C., that he has not reached out to Iran for peace talks “in any way, shape, or form.”

“I have not reached out to Iran for ‘Peace Talks’ in any way, shape, or form,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “This is just more HIGHLY FABRICATED, FAKE NEWS!”

“If they want to talk, they know how to reach me,” he continued. “They should have taken the deal that was on the table – Would have saved a lot of lives!!!”

Trump arrived in Washington Tuesday morning after abruptly leaving the G7 summit in Canada to address the conflict between Israel and Iran.

“Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, it’s very simple,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One during his overnight flight back to Washington.

He accused Iranian leaders of being unwilling to reach an agreement over their nuclear program, and suggested he was now less interested in talking with them.

“They should have done the deal. I told them, do the deal,” Trump said. “So I don’t know. I’m not too much in the mood to negotiate.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga, on urged prayer for U.S. troops and the innocent people in Israel and Iran amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East.

“Pray for our troops,” Greene wrote Tuesday on X. “Pray for the innocent people in Israel and Iran.”

“War has bad consequences,” she continued.

The Republican firebrand added: “We voted for America First.”

The day before, she said people are now “finding out who are real America First/MAGA and who were fake and just said it bc it was popular.”

“Anyone slobbering for the U.S. to become fully involved in the Israel/Iran war is not America First/MAGA,” she said, adding that “wishing for murder of innocent people is disgusting” and “we are sick and tired of foreign wars.”

“Real America First/MAGA wants world peace for all people and doesn’t want our military killed and forever injured physically and mentally … We have spent TRILLIONS in the Middle East and we have dealt with the aftermath of death, blown apart bodies, never ending suicides, and disabling PTSD,” she continued.

Netanyahu said during an appearance on Fox News that Iran tried to assassinate Donald Trump twice, which is not far-fetched considering Iran’s reputation for using its proxies to kill. But yet again, some media are misrepresenting what Netanyahu stated, in order to accuse him of trying to “justify Israel’s recent waves of missile strikes in Iran,” which is nonsense. Israel has long stated its intent of stopping Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, given Iran’s repeated threats to obliterate the Jewish state.

According to Politico, in a report last November:

The Iranian government ordered an operative to assassinate Donald Trump before the 2024 election, Manhattan federal prosecutors said Friday, the latest in a string of assassination plots directed at the former and future president in recent months.

Prosecutors charged Farhad Shakeri with murder-for-hire and providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization. He is believed to be in Iran and remains at large, prosecutors said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed in his first interview since Israel launched its blistering attacks on Iran that the country’s Islamic regime had pinpointed President Donald Trump as a threat to its nuclear program and actively worked to assassinate him.

“They want to kill him. He’s enemy number one. He’s a decisive leader. He never took the path that others took to try to bargain with them in a way that is weak, giving them basically a pathway to enrich uranium, which means a pathway to the bomb, padding it with billions and billions of dollars,” the prime minister told Fox News’ Bret Baier during a special Sunday edition of “Special Report.”

“He took up this fake agreement and basically tore it up. He killed Qasem Soleimani. He made it very clear, including now, ‘You cannot have a nuclear weapon, which means you cannot enrich uranium.’ He’s been very forceful, so for them, he’s enemy number one.”

Netanyahu revealed he was also a target of the regime after a missile was fired into the bedroom window of his home. He went on to call himself Trump’s “junior partner” in threatening Iran’s ability to weaponize nuclear arms.

Netanyahu said his country was facing an “imminent threat” of nuclear destruction and was left with no choice but to act aggressively in the “12th hour.”

“We were facing an imminent threat, a dual existential threat,” he said.

“One, the threat of Iran rushing to weaponize their enriched uranium to make atomic bombs with a specific and declared intent to destroy us. Second, a rush to increase their ballistic missile arsenal to the capacity that they would have 3,600 weapons a year…. Within three years, 10,000 ballistic missiles, each one weighing a ton, coming in at mach 6, right into our cities, as you saw today… and then in 26 years, 20,000 [missiles]. No country can sustain that, and certainly not a country the size of Israel, so we had to act.”…

‘No Kings’ protest fliers found in car of man suspected of shooting Minnesota lawmakers…

Fliers associated with Saturday’s nationwide protests of President Trump were found in the car of a man accused of killing Minnesota’s former House speaker and her husband and wounding two others. The Minnesota State Patrol warned residents to avoid “planned demonstrations” across the state Saturday, “out of an abundance of caution” as they hunt down the shooter. Police warned residents in the area not to open their doors for a cop impersonator as they hunt for the man they said is armed and dangerous. Rep. Melissa Hortman, the former speaker of the Minnesota House, and her husband, Mark, were killed, Gov. Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette, were shot multiple times in a separate attack by the same suspect and are undergoing surgery.
