Why the People of Vietnam Have Surprisingly Warm Views of Americans, Despite the History

Anti-Americanism in Vietnam is less pronounced than in many other parts of the world, and it likely stems from Vietnamese views about wealth and capitalism.

You would be forgiven for thinking—and it would be all too understandable if they were—that the people of Vietnam are anti-American. But the opposite is true.

One reason for this might stem from the culture’s views on wealth: the Vietnamese people admire the rich and experience very little social envy.

As most people know, the consequences of the Vietnam War were devastating for the country. The chemical weapons used by the United States, including the defoliant Agent Orange, not only struck the North Vietnamese Army, they also hit the civilian population. Napalm bombs also inflicted heavy casualties among the civilian population. The South Vietnamese alone lost 1.5 million people, including 300,000 civilians. The US military suffered 58,200 combat deaths, plus another 300,000 wounded. Civilian casualties in North Vietnam were far lower than in the South, but they lost far more soldiers.

In the north, major industrial centers and much of the infrastructure were destroyed. The region’s industrial manufacturing plants were decimated. Three of the six largest cities, 12 of the 29 provincial capitals, and two-thirds of all villages were destroyed. Virtually all power stations, railroad stations, ports, bridges, roads and the entire railroad network were also totally wiped out. In southern Vietnam, two-thirds of villages were also obliterated, five million hectares of forest were razed, and 20 million farmers lost their homes.

Given all of this destruction and suffering, it would not be surprising if Vietnam was a hotbed of anti-Americanism. But anti-Americanism in Vietnam is less pronounced than in many other parts of the world. In fact, anti-Americanism is not only stronger in Arab countries and Russia, it is also quite prevalent in many European countries, such as Germany and France.

In 1998, the US ambassador to Hanoi married a Vietnamese woman. He had flown 60 bombing raids on North Vietnam during the war before he was shot down in 1966. He then spent seven years in Vietnamese captivity as a prisoner of war. His wedding attracted a lot of attention at the time, but very little hostility.

This is not uncommon. I was in a relationship with a woman for several years whose parents were from Vietnam. I never once heard her or her parents talk badly about Americans.

Dinh Tuan Minh, a scholar from a think tank I met in Hanoi a few days ago said, explained to me why so many Vietnamese people have a positive attitude toward America.

“We Vietnamese do not look back to the past, but to the future. Unlike with China, we have no territorial disputes with the US. Many Vietnamese people also appreciate the fact that working conditions in US companies that invest here are often better than in Asian companies that invest in Vietnam. In addition, people in Vietnam know that the US has become our most important export market.”

Indeed, in 2020, Vietnam exported as much to the US as it did to China and Japan, its second and third largest export markets, combined.

I also spoke on this subject with the entrepreneur Xuan Ngyuen, who is from Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).

“I was born in 1987. The war had already been over for 12 years. My parents and grandparents did talk about how terrible the war was, but they never had a bad word to say about the US and Americans,” Ngyuen told me while I was in Hanoi. “On the contrary, they told me, ‘You must learn to speak English, dress like Americans, eat the same food that Americans eat, and above all, learn to think like an American. Then you will be successful.’”

Independent surveys support these anecdotes.

In a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center, 76 percent of Vietnamese said they had a positive view of the US. Among more educated Vietnamese, the figure was as high as 89 percent, and among respondents aged 18 to 29, 89 percent had a favorable opinion of the US. Even among those over 50 who had lived through the war, more than 60 percent viewed the US positively.

Perceptions of China, which has frequently waged war against Vietnam in the past and also has territorial disputes with the country today, are a different story. Surveys show Vietnamese people have much more negative attitudes toward China.

In a survey also conducted by the Pew Research Center, 64 percent of Vietnamese said, “China’s growing economy is a bad thing for our country.” By comparison, only 36 percent of the survey’s respondents in Japan said the same, 23 percent in Australia and 49 percent in South Korea. In addition, 80 percent of Vietnamese in the same poll also said, “China’s power and influence is a threat to our country.”

I admire people who manage to look more to the future than to the past. Such people are usually far more successful in life than those who constantly focus on the past.

This applies not only to individuals, but also to nations.

In 1975, the Vietnamese defeated the Americans, and this already proud country became even prouder, for they had defeated the greatest military superpower in history. But their pride suffered over the next ten years as the introduction of a socialist planned economy had a devastating effect on the south of the country. Vietnam was the poorest country in the region. While other Asian countries that took the capitalist path – South Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore, for example – achieved incredible growth and escaped poverty, most people in Vietnam lived in bitter poverty, even ten years after the war had come to an end.

Forced collectivization of agriculture had been no more successful in Vietnam than it had in China or Russia. In 1980, Vietnam produced only 14 million tons of rice, despite the fact that the county needed 16 million tons to meet its own population’s basic needs. During the period of the second five-year plan (1976 to 1980), Vietnam was forced to import eight to nine million tons of rice and other foodstuffs.

Production stagnated, and state-owned industrial production actually declined by 10 percent from 1976 to 1980. Until 1988, only small family businesses were allowed as private enterprises in Vietnam; otherwise, everything was state-owned.

The Vietnamese realized that they were at an impasse. At the VI Party Congress (incidentally, the party still calls itself “communist”) in December 1986, the country’s leaders adopted a comprehensive package of reforms known as “Doi Moi” (“renewal”). As in China under Deng Xiaoping, private property was allowed and the party increasingly focused on the development of a market economy.

Today, Vietnam has shaken off its past and reinvented itself. GDP per capita has increased six-fold since the reforms (in constant dollars), from $577 to $3,373. Vietnam is now one of the world’s largest rice exporters, after India and only slightly behind Thailand. But Vietnam has long been much more than a country that exports agricultural products and textiles. It has now become a major producer of electronic goods and exported $111 billion worth of electronic products in 2020 alone.

Under the socialist planned economy, the majority of people in Vietnam lived in extreme poverty. As recently as 1993, 80 percent of the Vietnamese population were still living in poverty. Over the last decade in particular, poverty declined sharply in Vietnam, falling from 16.8 percent to 5 percent, lifting an estimated 10 million people out of poverty, according to the World Bank’s formula.

Poverty in Vietnam was not eliminated by wealth redistribution, but by a more free-market economy. Redistribution has never been a successful tool in the fight against poverty anywhere in the world. Capitalism works, and most workers in Vietnam benefit from tax rates that are comparatively low, ones that can only be dreamed of in Germany or New York. Sure, the top tax rate for individuals in Vietnam is 35 percent, but for that you have to earn about 14 times more than an average earner. In any case, social envy directed at the rich is a foreign concept in Vietnam. Here, wealth is admired and celebrated.

Of eleven countries where I commissioned Ipsos MORI to conduct a survey on attitudes toward the rich, Japan was the only other country in which opinions were as positive as in Vietnam.

In a paper from the Vietnamese social scientists Nguyen Trong Chuan, Nguyen Minh Luan and Le Huu Tang, which was published in the book Socioeconomic Renovation in Viet Nam, the authors explain how labor incentives work in the country.

“Those households who have good opportunities, better experience, talent for working and trading, and healthy labor, will be richer. Thus the polarization does not represent inequity but equity,” the authors write. “Those who work hard and well earn more, while those who are lazy and work inefficiently and ineffectively will earn less.”

The scholars also strongly oppose redistribution strategies: “In comparison with the subsidy system, where distribution was egalitarian, the current polarization between the rich and the poor shows the reestablishment of social equity.”

Inequality is not worthy of criticism and the pursuit of wealth should be encouraged, they argue: “Polarization has itself become an important motivating force behind the recent considerable economic growth.”

It would be a mistake to abandon the pursuit of free-market reforms simply because inequality between rich and poor is increasing, the Vietnamese sociologists and philosophers conclude. You won’t often find similar remarks from sociologists in the US and Europe.

The Vietnamese do not look enviously on rich people; they aspire to be rich. One of the questions in my aforementioned study in Vietnam was, “How important, if at all, is it for you personally to be rich?” The result: In Europe and the US, on average, only 28 percent of respondents said it was important to them to be or become rich. In the four surveyed Asian countries, in contrast, the figure was 58 percent. And nowhere did as many people say it was important to them to be or become rich as in Vietnam, where it was 76 percent.

Although Vietnam calls itself a socialist country, the way people here think is more in tune with capitalism than is the case in Europe. Incidentally, the ratio of government expenditure to gross national product in the US was 41.2 percent last year. In Vietnam, it was 21.2 percent.

The Root of Today’s Worldwide Education Problem Is Staring Us in the Face

From Israel to America and lots of places in between, government schools are failing. This should not surprise us.

“Our schools,” reports a knowledgeable observer, “are producing ignoramuses.” The average graduate, he explains, “does not know how to read critically, write expressively, or debate intelligently and politely.” Meantime, the unions are opposing huge, proposed increases in beginner-teacher salaries because, instead, they want higher pay for teachers with seniority, regardless of individual performance.

Are we talking about America here? No, though Americans can sadly and credibly claim similar circumstances. What you just read comes from writer Amotz Asa-El in the July 29-August 4 issue of The Jerusalem Post. In his article titled “How can Jewish Schools be Bad?”, the country whose schools he excoriates is Israel.

For more than 2,000 years, a thirst for learning has been a core element of Jewish culture. Asa-El writes,

So obsessed with education were the Jews that Jewish law decreed that a town that did not give its children a teacher must be excommunicated. And so unique did education make the Jews that a French monk noted in the 12th Century that “a Jew, however poor, if he had 10 sons would put them all to letters…and not only his sons, but his daughters” [too].

Education was a legacy, a quest, and a supreme value that went with the Jews wherever they wandered. That’s how the penniless immigrants who proceeded from Europe’s shtetls [Jewish enclaves] to the Lower East Side’s sweatshops produced by 1937 half of New York’s doctors and two-thirds of its lawyers.

One could reasonably assume that such a deeply rooted heritage would produce good public schools in a country defined by its Jewishness. But instead, says Asa-El, they are a “disgrace.” Not only are they academically bad, they also “nurture indiscipline.” He points out that it “is most commonly reflected in students’ total disregard for their teacher’s very presence in the classroom.” Moreover,

In worse cases, this indiscipline breeds vandalism during field trips, not only in Israeli parks, but even in places like Birkenau [a notorious Nazi concentration camp], where Israeli students carved their names into barracks’ walls.

The performance of American public schools, on average, is nothing to write home about either. Their disgraceful shortcomings are well-known and hardly need to be recounted here. You can check the Education section of Just Facts for the details. But guess what? I’ve heard the same complaints in almost all the 87 countries I’ve visited over the years. Even people who think their local public school is OK will decry the lousy and expensive outcomes in everybody else’s public school.

If a chain of private restaurants served bad food at high prices, it would be history in a hurry. Better eateries would spring up in their place, and customers would welcome such “creative destruction” as perfectly natural and beneficial.

Even in education, we can find excellence. Private schools and home schools are generally flourishing. These are the schools in which no parent or child is trapped by zip code. No unhappy customers are forced to patronize these options year after year. Distant bureaucracies and self-serving unions cannot bully their way into the classroom. Teachers are freer to get the job done. Fractious, distracting, intractable controversies are avoided because everybody pays for what they get and gets what they pay for—or they take a walk.

Public schools are government schools. Their common denominator is politics. Who in their right mind would even think to suggest that to improve restaurants, we should assign people to eat at restaurants by geography or zip code? Would a bad restaurant improve if we threw more money at it, rewarded its staff according to seniority instead of merit, or put politicians in charge of its menu? The reality in Israeli schools proves that politics can take even an impressive cultural heritage and trash it in just a few generations.

From Israel to America and lots of places in between, government is not the answer to problems in education. It is the paramount problem itself. Government politicizes education. It foists compulsory unionism on teachers. It rewards mediocrity and frustrates innovation and success. It stifles the very forces of choice, incentive and accountability that produce progress in every other walk of life where they are employed. The answer is more freedom, not more politics and coercion. Why is such common sense so infuriatingly uncommon?

Perhaps government conveniently forgot to teach it to us.

Karl Marx’s Gravest Miscalculation

The roots of socialism’s tragedies can be found in Marx’s famous Manifesto.

I recently had occasion to re-read Karl Marx’s seminal Communist Manifesto. It had been nearly twenty years since my first reading of the text in graduate school and I remembered little beyond class antagonisms, Marx’s materialism, and the exploitation of the proletariat. But the ongoing crisis in Venezuela led me to once again reflect on the Socialist and Communist Philosophy underneath the unfolding crisis.

At a mere 60 pages, the Manifesto is surprisingly light compared to most canonical philosophy. After expounding on the history-shaping role of class antagonisms and the formative nature of production within society, Marx gets into the details of what it takes to form a new Socialist society.

It is in the second section of the Manifesto that Marx notes ten measures required for bringing about a Socialist State. These include the abolition of private property and the abolition of inheritance rights. Marx then calls for the centralization of both production and credit in the hands of the State.

Even more, he calls for the State to wield an “exclusive monopoly” on all credit and all means of production. Number six on the list asserts that all communication and “transport” is to be centralized and controlled by the State. Whereas, measure eight notes that there is an “Equal obligation of all to labor” with “industrialized armies” established for the carrying out of necessary labor.

Marx recognizes that these measures cannot be achieved peacefully.

“Of course, in the beginning, this cannot be effected except by means of despotic inroads on the rights of property,” he writes.

In other words; by force. Force is concentrated in the hands of the State and then leveraged to bring about a new Socialist order.

What rights do individuals have to protect them from all the power Marx’s Socialist State wields? Beyond the rejection of the right to property, the right to free speech, the right to non-State controlled information, the right to choose one’s labor, or the accumulation of individual wealth, Marx says nothing about what rights citizens of this new State do have.

Marx offers only a vague allusion to a “vast association of the whole nation” that somehow negates the needs for constitutionally guaranteed rights or democratic processes.

What is worse is that Marx’s Socialist State is so singularly powerful that there is no recourse for citizens once power has been centralized. Marx’s expectation of the relinquishing of power into this “vast association” is not given a mechanism by which it is supposed to happen. The crucial step by which Marx’s Socialist power becomes one of the people rather than one of the State is not even spelled out on paper.

The disturbing reports coming out of Venezuela’s significant and widespread human rights violations was not Socialism misapplied, misexecuted, or misunderstood.

It was, step by step, the implementation of Marx’s Socialist State as called for by Marx himself.  From the early attack on private property and the redistribution of wealth to the nationalization of communication, energy, finance, and industry, we see Marx’s call to centralize power to the State. Marx’s belief that the Socialist State would not wield that power simply for power’s sake was a grave miscalculation.

Marx’s call to centralize so many key functions to the state so empowers the state that there is no check or balance to that power. We cannot be surprised that Marx’s State does not wield that power to the benefit of any but itself; to the sustaining of the system that so feeds it. There is no ideology that will protect a people from abuses of unchecked power. History has tended to show that ideology is irrelevant. Where power has been amassed and unchecked, it has been abused. These are facts of human nature so embedded in history that they ring more true than any other.

Venezuela’s call to forced labor on farms is not some unforeseeable response to unforeseeable food shortages. Both the famine and the call to forced labor, Marx’s “industrial armies’’ are explicit in the text, embedded in the ideology.

So long as we continue to point fingers at all causes beyond the philosophy itself, we allow society to continue its romance with Socialist and Communist Ideology. We fail to see where the ideas themselves set the stage for the retraction, rather than expansion, of human freedom and flourishing. We fail to see Venezuela before Venezuela happens.

American socialists have long been promoting the nationalization of health care.  After Democrats took control of Congress in 1964, President Lyndon Baines Johnson’s “Great Society” gave us Medicare and Medicaid Act, also known as the Social Security Amendments of 1965.

With nationalization, small medical practices disappeared into group practices, factory like hospitals and out-patient clinics were established throughout the country, and many insurers restrict physician availability.

With the form and amount of medical care dependent upon budgetary availability, slowly but surely, the state-controlled benefits are diminished.  After Obama Care, the costs have risen exponentially to where yearly deductibles are rarely met, with out-of-pocket costs soaring.

The goal is total control of the US medical industry and with COVID, there has been a giant leap forward in the destruction of America’s once highly touted health care.

Not only have the medical Stasi been active, but Gestapo like tactics against physicians have cost them their careers.  Senator Ron Johnson exposed so much of this in his five-hour January 2022 roundtable.  Apparently the Senator is the only DC politician who cares.  Too many of them are funded by Bill Gates and are members of the World Economic Forum.

Corporate medicine run by the state has arrived.  Marx would be proud.

America’s Police State

On October 7, 2022, Joseph Biden signed an Executive Order on Enhancing Safeguards For United States Signals Intelligence Activities.  It is 25 pages long, nearly 8,000 words, and difficult to read and understand.

It does make clear that all 18 intelligence communities will have the ability to spy on American citizens.

Steven Fishman wrote, “‘Signals Intelligence’ means A-I or ‘Artificial Intelligence.’  All our freedoms and privacy are now gone and in the toilet. But it’s far worse than that.  Spying is only part of the equation.  It gives the 18 intel agencies the right to label each and every one of us a domestic terrorist arbitrarily.”

The military is part of the intelligence network.  It appears that posse comitatus may be put aside and the military used as enforcers.  Afterall, the Department of Defense is actually funding Socialist Democrat propaganda.

Every government agency is owned, lock, stock and barrel, by the American Stasi.

Subversion and Sabotage

Starting with the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Americans have been continually subjected to an endless stream of totalitarian medical orders by the highest-level officials of the United States government and state governments from both political parties; by federal, state, and local public health authorities; by life scientists; and by doctors.

The COVID jabs and their related mandates violate the Nuremberg Code on Medical Experimentation that the United States government used to prosecute, convict, and execute Nazi doctors at Nuremberg. The inoculations and their related mandates are a Nuremberg Crime against Humanity under international criminal law.

Yet, only the dissident docs are courageous enough to speak out.

We must stop dead in its tracks this developing American medical police state and hold legally accountable those responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic lies and its lethal consequences for millions of our fellow Americans.

Leo Hohmann’s article from April 2020, Rasputin in the White House: Trump Must Boot Dr. Fauci from His Inner Circle or Lose Everything He’s Fought For spelled it out. We know the end result. The article was dead on!

Leo told us, “All roads lead to the mad doctor, Mr. Fauci, who sits on the Leadership Council of Bill Gates’s Global Vaccine Action Plan. Fauci is among the cadre of world health leaders who helped Gates launch his ‘Decade of Vaccines Collaboration.’”

Gates media announced their decade of vax collaboration in 2010.  Their first paragraph tells the whole story:

“The World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation have announced a collaboration to increase coordination across the international vaccine community and create a Global Vaccine Action Plan.  This plan will build on the successes of current work to achieve key milestones in the discovery, development and delivery of lifesaving vaccines to the most vulnerable populations in the poorest countries over the next decade.”

In December of 2020, the first COVID jabs were administered in New York City.

Lockdowns ruined the economy; 26 million jobs were lost along with countless American lives and not just from COVID.  Millions were driven into poverty and government dependence and have never come back.

All but seven state governors were influenced by the medical Stasi to trash the Bill of Rights, “making a mockery of its very existence.”

How pleased the police-state Stasi must have been when the masses donned their masks, locked their doors, kept six-feet apart and abstained from worshipping together.  Americans eagerly fell in line with the medical tyranny to keep themselves “safe.” The obedient little Nazis made sure they scorned and verbally attacked every person free of a face diaper.

The God hating globalist elites were thrilled, and our deliberately dumbed down citizenry went along with the entire evil scenario.

Fauci remained in the spotlight to sell fear throughout the nation.  Two million will die!

Pence gave us that little self-aggrandizing worm along with Fauci’s lying cohort, Deborah Birx.

Trump listened to his Deep State advisors and didn’t give Fauci the boot until the damage had been done.  What took Trump three years to build was wiped out in a matter of weeks.  Had he listened to his gut instincts that the virus was nothing more than a bad flu which could have been treated with repurposed drugs, he would have saved us from two and half years of a hellish nightmare.  Instead, he listened to Big Pharma’s toady and galloped headlong into pushing his Operation Warp Death jabs.

As President of the greatest nation on earth, the buck stopped with Trump.

When Fauci announced his retirement, Florida Governor DeSantis slammed him saying, “someone needs to grab that little elf and chuck him across the Potomac.”

Muzzling Physicians

As a critical care physician for over 30 years, he was treating COVID patients with repurposed drugs and having far better results than his colleagues.  But then the hospital system sent out a memorandum to the entire 18 hospitals, essentially targeting Dr. Marik, but basically saying the pharmacy would no longer dispense the medications he had been using to save lives.  These were all FDA approved drugs including Vitamin C.  All the good doctor was left with was Remdesivir, a toxic drug which kills patients.

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia was sued by Dr. Marik, but the lawyers and witnesses lied and he did not prevail.  Then the hospital did what is called peer review.  It’s a sham peer review where Dr. Marik was accused of many things and was guilty until proven innocent.  He wasn’t even allowed legal representation. The American Board of Internal Medicine even accused Dr. Marik of spreading misinformation.

Ultimately, he had no choice but to leave the hospital.  In doing so, the patients he could have saved lost their lives.  Sentara Norfolk General Hospital went out of their way to destroy Dr. Paul Marik’s stellar career.

The hospital care was all about the bottom line, it had nothing to do with the proper care of the patient.  If the patient was on Medicare, and treated with Remdesivir, the hospital received US tax dollars from the federal government of 20% of the hospital bill, which usually would run about $400 to $500K.  The incentivization was to allow patients to die.  The Board of Medicine accused Dr. Marik of prescribing Ivermectin to non-existing patients when he never prescribed IVM to any patients in Sentara Hospital.  The corrupt medical power elite saw to it that Dr. Marik’s brilliant career came to an end.  Big Pharma, the CDC, NIH, FDA, AMA, and medical journals, are the authorities listened to by hospital and group administrators.

State Medical Boards, Hospitals and the American Board of Medicine will go after any physician who thinks on his own in treating COVID patients and fails to follow the set protocols from the Stasi hierarchy.

The bottom line was money from the federal government (taxpayer dollars) for COVID diagnosis, oxygen masks, Remdesivir, Paxlovid, ventilators and finally death.

Money called the tune, not saving the patients.

Today, Dr. Paul Marik says, “I would not recommend a single living soul on the planet should take any of the COVID injections.”

Dr. Pierre Kory

Drs. Paul Marik and Pierre Kory are working together.  Dr. Kory came to the same conclusions as Dr. Marik, but a few months earlier.  They are part of Covid19CriticalCare.com which you can also reach via FLCCC.net.

Both doctors, as well as several other physicians in the group, are working to save people’s lives from long COVID and the C-19 injections. Here are their listed protocols and what you can do to help yourself if you’ve taken one or more of the injections.

Dr. Pierre Kory is president of the FLCCC Alliance and has testified to the Senate many times over the use of repurposed drugs to treat C-19, especially the use of Ivermectin.  Like Dr. Marik, he is a pulmonary and critical care specialist.

Dr. Kory’s May 2022 Fox News article, is a shocking expose of the horrors that happened during the 2 ½ years of the C-19 nightmare.  He tells us that he’s been a lifelong democrat, but in talking to other physicians, he found “conservative colleagues and friends who put politics aside to focus on doing our best at the bedside. It made me more tolerant and understanding of their worldviews.”

He used to view democrats as more open about free speech, but now “with today’s progressive political movement, medical boards are adopting policies that censor opinions, defining such speech as mis- or disinformation, especially scientific opinions around COVID. Medical professionals who refuse to toe the party line risk censorship, cancellation, and even the loss of license—a fate far worse than getting banned from Twitter.”

Dr. Kory is right.  The trend is forcing doctors to either join the mob and literally chance killing their C-19 patients with the totalitarian medical industry protocols or risk losing their licenses for trying to save their patients.

Bureaucrats and politicians have now intruded on the doctor-patient relationship.  The recent bill on the desk of California Governor Newsom “grants sweeping new powers to the state’s medical board to initiate investigations of doctors whose COVID treatment decisions depart from the applicable standard of care.”  And yes, the definition of mis-information is vague but not the consequences…the disciplinary action can be severe and can even lead to the loss of a medical license.  Dr. Paul Marik’s September 30th Daily Caller article states, “Not only do the mandates remain in place for medical professionals, but the stakes are poised to get even higher if this bad bill becomes law.”

Newsom signed this egregious bill, AB 2098, into law Friday evening, September 30, 2022.

How obvious does it have to be to see that medical Stasi, who do not treat COVID patients, have taken over physicians’ abilities to judge what is best for their patients.  Today’s physicians had best not step outside the box described by the Stasi medical police.

Dr. Mark McDonald

Dr. Mark McDonald is the author of United States of Fear: How America Fell Victim to a Mass Delusional Psychosis.  His latest book is Freedom From Fear: A 12 Step Guide to Personal and National Recovery.  Both books are essential reading for those who suffered through the years of COVID and the government promotion of fear.

McDonald is a Los Angeles psychiatrist with particular expertise in working with children with autism and trauma, as well as obsessive-compulsive and bipolar disorders. His dislike of masking children was clear when he wrote on his substack page that he had written to the parents of his young patients that they would not be allowed to wear masks in his office.  It was not just because we need to see each other’s faces, but because the masks are unhealthy, damaging and do nothing to prevent a virus.  He lost a few patients, but he took a stand for truth.

His latest missive, “I Chose to Fight,” tells his substack readers that he filed a lawsuit against AB 2098, the Medical Censorship Bill.  “It will become law on January 1, 2023, effectively denying all physicians in the state of California the right to publicly share their medical opinions, under threat of suspension of their license to practice medicine.”

The California Medical Board (CMB) has targeted Dr. McDonald personally and has launched an investigation, “into allegations that I ‘spread medical misinformation’ on my social media pages regarding masks, early treatment, and mRNA injections. This lawsuit, though, is not about me—it is a challenge to the constitutionality of AB 2098, as the law prohibits medical free speech.”

Kristina Lawson, the President of CMB and an attorney has proposed to the California Senate two requests:

  1. More money for the Board’s enforcement program targeting physicians.
  2. Lowering the legal standard required to prosecute physicians.

Dr. McDonald writes, “If AB 2098 becomes law in 2023, every California physician who expresses an opinion challenging the legitimacy of mask mandates, denial of prophylactic or early treatment, or efficacy or safety of mRNA therapeutics will become a target of the Board for license suspension or termination. Ethical physicians who insist on empirically validated treatment protocols and who object to harmful, anti-scientific, and abusive public health policies or medical treatments will simply leave California or take an early retirement.”

He continues and states the obvious.  This egregious and despicable law will spread to other states, effectively destroying the ability of physicians to properly care for their patients.

This is the nationalization of heath care.  The Stasi are gleeful.

Conclusion

The helm of a free state and a self-ruling people is a reliance on God.  The old Roman Empire had a war against both Jews and Christians because their loyalty was to their Creator.  They refused to acknowledge the emperor as god.  Thus, they worked to destroy the old order, the belief in God, respect for one’s neighbor and property and the bonds of family.

The exact same war has been taking place in America for two centuries.

A totalitarian state cannot allow the people to have a quality academic education any more than it can allow the worship of our Creator.  Prayer was removed from American schools in 1962 and the Ten Commandments were removed in 1980.

God has been eliminated, even from many of our houses of worship.  Therein lies the core of our country’s rot.  We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Every facet of our society has expunged any mention of our Judeo-Christian culture including our medical industry.

The war is between good and evil.  This is the real battle.  Which side will you choose?

Biden and his Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg have made it their sole mission to “go green” by eliminating every vehicle in America that uses fossil fuels and replace them with all electric vehicles (EVs). Buttigieg even called for a “nationwide ban on gas cars.”

Well, it’s ironic that Hurricane Ian showed just how dangerous and wrong headed this policy truly is.

Fox 35 reported,

A top Florida state official warned Thursday that firefighters have battled a number of fires caused by electric vehicle (EV) batteries waterlogged from Hurricane Ian.

EV batteries that have been waterlogged in the wake of the hurricane are at risk of corrosion, which could lead to unexpected fires, according to Jimmy Patronis, the state’s top financial officer and fire marshal.

“There’s a ton of EVs disabled from Ian. As those batteries corrode, fires start,” Patronis tweeted Thursday. “That’s a new challenge that our firefighters haven’t faced before. At least on this kind of scale.”

“It takes special training and understanding of EVs to ensure these fires are put out quickly and safely,” he continued in a follow-up tweet. “Thanks to [North Collier Fire Rescue] for their hard work.”

Evidently, the batteries in the water-logged autos begin to rapidly corrode and then combust, explained Jimmy Patronis, Florida’s chief financial officer and state fire marshal on Twitter.

In another report the Washington Post in an article titled A Tesla was in a junkyard for three weeks. Then it burst into flames by noted,

A white Tesla Model S was sitting in a Rancho Cordova, Calif., wrecking yard earlier this month — having been severely damaged in a collision three weeks earlier — when it suddenly erupted in flames.

When firefighters arrived, the electric car was engulfed, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District. Every time the blaze was momentarily extinguished, the car’s battery compartment reignited, the fire department wrote in an Instagram post. Firefighters and wrecking yard workers tried turning the car on its side to aim water directly onto the battery pack. But “the vehicle would still re-ignite due to the residual heat,” the department wrote.

So they tried something else: They used a tractor to create a pit in the dirt, managed to get the car inside, then filled the hole with water. That allowed the firefighters to submerge the battery pack and ultimately extinguish the fire, which burned hotter than 3,000 degrees, Capt. Parker Wilbourn, a fire department spokesman, told The Washington Post.

Victoria White from Rochester, Minnesota attended the Stop the Steal rally in Washington DC on January 6th. Like many Americans that day it was her first time she ever visited Washington DC.  She was excited to attend the rally and stand with President Trump at the Ellipse.

What started as a wonderful trip with family and friends turned into a bloody nightmare.  Victoria White was nearly killed by DC police officers during the rally. The police officers beat her in the face and shoulders nearly 40 times with sticks and their fists.   Then they dragged her through the US Capitol shoeless and forced her to wait outside without a phone, a coat, or a ride after they released her hours later.

Neurologic Injury

This study published by Philip Oldfield in January 2022, is eye-opening. Here is the abstract, edited lightly for clarity:

“This mini-review focuses on the mechanisms of how SARS-CoV-2 affects the brain, with an emphasis on the role of the spike protein in patients with neurological symptoms.

“Following infection, patients with a history of neurological complications may be at a higher risk of developing long-term neurological conditions associated with the alpha-synuclein prion, such as Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body dementia.

“Compelling evidence has been published to indicate that the spike protein, which is derived from SARS-CoV-2 and generated from the vaccines, is not only able to cross the blood–brain barrier but may cause inflammation and/or blood clots in the brain.

“Consequently, should vaccine-induced expression of spike proteins not be limited to the site of injection and draining lymph nodes there is the potential of long-term implications following inoculation [vaccination] that may be identical to neurological complications seen in patients who were infected with SARS-CoV-2.”

 It is important to mention, we now know the spike proteins do  not remain localized in the arm.

Let’s drill down on this article, starting with some definitions:

Alpha-Synuclein: These are the major component of Lewy bodies, which are characteristic of Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body dementia. There is much speculation on what the primary function of alpha-synuclein may be under healthy conditions. However, the accumulation of this protein when it has folded abnormally seems to be central to neurodegeneration. Since the culprit of chronic illness has been widely described as being the spike protein, a 2021 study of monkeys provided compelling evidence that the spike protein associated with SARS-CoV2 is responsible for Lewy body formation.

Parkinson’s disease: A long-term degenerative disease of the central nervous system, affecting the motor system. The most obvious early signs are resting tremor, rigidity, slowness of movement, and difficulty walking.

The utopian ideal of equality of circumstances has captured people’s imagination since ancient times. If only everybody could have the same of everything the world would be different. There would be no envy, no crime, no poverty, no greed, and no unhappiness. From Plato to Karl Marx, many thinkers looked to the state for the creation of that heaven on earth. In our own times, this dream has remained alive in the form of the welfare state, and today it shows itself most distinctly in the appeal of government-managed health care.

Isn’t it obvious, many ask, that government can supply medical care more fairly and less expensively than the selfish profit-oriented free market? Let us remind ourselves that in the Soviet Union the road to medical-care hell was paved with the same good intentions. In October 1917, the Marxist dreams of coming to political power came true in Russia. Now that everyone was to be equal in all aspects of their lives, people would no longer die in the streets from illness. Free medical care would be available for all, rather than reserved only for the “greedy rich.”

But what did the Bolsheviks destroy and what did they create?

In Old Russia, medical care was a consumer-oriented business. Doctors’ incomes and their standard of living were totally dependent upon professionalism and reputation in the wider community. Patients decided which doctor to use, which hospital to go to, and which pharmaceutical products to trust. Doctors worked hard to establish their reputation, an important part of which came from providing charity care for the poor. As in the West, all Russian doctors upon graduation from medical school took the Hippocratic Oath, in which they swore never to reject anyone who needed medical assistance—and as a rule they were loyal to their oath.

In Russian urban areas, there were charity hospitals and out-patient care for the poor and their families. In rural areas, peasants would often pay doctors with a chicken, potatoes, bread, or in the form of domestic services—or received their medical treatment for free. Under the private medical system in Old Russia, doctors were able to earn a comfortable living and therefore could afford to be generous in supplying charity services to those who were in need.

Expectations of high income, along with the status of being a member of a respected profession, generated strong competition for acceptance into medical schools. The best were accepted as students, and the most qualified were hired as professors. At the beginning of the 20th century, the quality of Russian medical care and medical research was internationally recognized. Was it a perfect system? Of course not. But contrary to the socialist myth-makers, medical care in Imperial Russia was widely available and provided in a fairly cost-efficient manner. Both the profit motive of the competitive marketplace and the spirit of charity assured the provision of quality medical services throughout Russian society.

This, then, was the system the Bolsheviks wanted to destroy. Unfortunately, many Russian intellectuals, including medical doctors themselves, were infected with the socialist disease. Seeing so much poverty in a still underdeveloped Russia, many doctors turned their back on the free market and came to believe that government management could create a better society through planned equality of living conditions, education, and certainly medical care. Thus, guided by wrong ideas, the members of the medical profession helped to destroy with their own hands a health-care system that, while certainly not perfect, provided people with skilled treatment, regardless of their income or social background.

Equality for All

In 1917, like everything else, medical services were nationalized by the new socialist government. Gradually, small medical practices disappeared and a network of big, factory-like hospitals and out-patient clinics were established all around the country. Everyone was registered in both out-patient clinics and hospitals according to their government-assigned residence. Patient choice was completely taken away by the Soviet State, which took full responsibility for centrally planning each individual’s medical expenses and health care.

With the elimination of private expenditures for health services, the form and amount of medical care were now dependent upon the budgetary priorities of the State. All members of the medical industry were put on low fixed monthly salaries and were mandated to examine and treat an overwhelming daily quota of patients. Medical research became dependent upon inadequate annual budgetary allocations from the government. Doctors’ and nurses’ incomes no longer depended on their professional skills or the number of patients they treated. Total unionization of the medical profession made it practically impossible for anyone to be fired. Without markets and prices determining the value and availability of health care, the government imposed a rationing system for medical services and pharmaceutical products.

Specialized services (mammograms, ultrasounds, and so forth) were available only in a few select hospitals where the doctors were supposed to treat patients as well as participate in research. For example, in the case of brain or cardiovascular surgery and treatment, there were only a few specialized hospitals available in the entire country. People sometimes died waiting in line to be admitted for these treatments.

Medical care became a producer-oriented industry, instead of the consumer-oriented market that it had been in Old Russia. But even the State cannot kill the market, just as the State cannot repeal the laws of God and nature. The market was simply driven “underground,” and thus became the black market. The black-market response to State-rationing occurred immediately. Doctors’ services and pharmaceutical products (both domestic and foreign-made), as well as access to medical-testing equipment, became available for bribes. Unfortunately, only the wealthy elite could afford expensive black-market medical services, while the poor majority could no longer count upon charity.

In the world of “free” medical care in the Soviet Union, people often had to have connections to obtain many of the medicines prescribed by physicians to save their family members and friends. Indifferent and often hostile nurses and orderlies had to be bribed to change a patient’s bedpan or to provide ordinary attention that any American would take for granted during a stay in a hospital.

Hospital wards were crowded and far from antiseptically clean. Anesthetics and basic painkillers were frequently unavailable. The crying of patients in pain could sometimes be heard from outside a hospital by passersby.

Some Are More Equal than Others

Not surprisingly, those in the political elite did not want to be treated in the medical system provided for “the people.” One of the greatest myths about the Soviet Union was its supposed equality for all. No society was so divided into privileged groups and classes as was Soviet society. Where an individual stood in the political hierarchy of the Communist Party and the bureaucratic structure of the socialist economy determined his access to all the essentials as well as the luxuries of life.

Special hospitals were created all around the Soviet Union. These were reserved for the members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, the Council of Ministers, the local and regional Party elites, and so forth. The “servants of the people,” as a result, received a qualitatively different level of medical care than “the masses.” The privileged few had access not only to Soviet-made drugs and medications but also to Western European and American medicines and equipment, which could never be within the reach of the ordinary “proletarian” patient.

Affirmative Action, Soviet Style

The nature and quality of medical education were affected, as well. Bribes and connections determined both the hiring and admission processes in medical schools. Skills and professionalism mattered very little, and service to the community did not matter at all.

This poor medical care was reinforced by the fact that entrance into higher education in the Soviet Union was dictated by a system of affirmative action that had been introduced shortly after the triumph of the Socialist Revolution in 1917. At first belonging to a social class —worker, peasant, or intellectual—determined the entry quotas into colleges, universities, and technical schools. But the Soviet affirmative action system was soon expanded to include gender and ethnic classifications as well. A young person’s professional and career opportunities were greatly influenced not by his individual merit but by whether he was, for example, a Russian, an Uzbek, a Georgian, a Lithuanian, a Jew, or somebody else. Every class, gender, and ethnic group had its own quota for admission and hiring into institutions of higher learning.

Connections, bribes, class, gender, and ethnicity heavily determined who were admitted into and graduated from medical schools throughout the Soviet Union. Thus the supplies of hospitals, physicians, medical equipment, and pharmaceuticals all became victims of socialist central planning and political priorities just like everything else in the “workers’ paradise.” At the end of the 20th century, Russia was infamous for having one of the worst health-care systems in the world.

In bitter situations, Russians often respond with jokes and anecdotes. In one of them, an American and a Soviet doctor are talking. The American says, “Dear colleague, our profession is imperfect. You treat the patient from one disease and he dies from another.” The Soviet doctor replies, “No, dear colleague, this is not the case with me. Mine die from whatever I treat them.”

It is easy to say that the present system is imperfect and a radical change will make it perfect in a relatively short period of time. But there are always lessons from history from which to learn. Sometimes, your neighbor’s history warns you which path never to follow.

Relatives of a girl who died during protests in Iran have been forced into making false statements, a source close to the family has told BBC Persian.

Nika Shakarami, 16, went missing in Tehran on 20 September after telling a friend she was being chased by police.

On Wednesday night, a state TV report showed her aunt, Atash, saying: “Nika was killed falling from a building.”

Her uncle was also seen on TV speaking against the unrest, as someone seems to whisper to him: “Say it, you scumbag!”

The source told BBC Persian that these were both “forced confessions” that came “after intense interrogations and being threatened that other family members would be killed”….

Wednesday night’s state TV report also featured footage in which Atash was seen confirming that her niece’s body was found outside the building mentioned by the judiciary, even though that contradicted previous statements made by her and other members of the family.

Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) touted a letter he sent to Joe Biden asking him to ramp up oil production in the Gulf of Mexico in a debate Wednesday, but in reality, he has voted for the anti-gas-and-oil Biden Agenda 94 percent of the time, including the leftist green energy initiatives in the Inflation Reduction Act boondoggle. 

At the debate with his Republican challenger, Trump-endorsed Blake Masters, and Libertarian candidate Mark Victor, Kelly referenced a letter he and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) penned to Biden in March, asking him to develop a gas production program in the Gulf.

While new contracts were ultimately awarded in the Gulf, Kelly has been an accomplice to Biden’s war on energy with his deciding vote for the $700 billion Inflation Reduction Act, which created “hundreds of billions of dollars in green energy slush funds for the federal government to dole out,” as Breitbart News reported.

Rep. Mark Green (R-TN) blasted the Inflation Reduction Act’s effect on the oil and gas industry while appearing on Fox Business’s Evening Edit days after it was signed by Biden in August:

If you look at actually, how the bill is structured, 70% of the people who currently get a tax credit aren’t going to get a tax credit. So, this whole notion of trying to incentivize people to move from fossil fuels to electric is just — now, it’s a huge disincentive. So, I don’t get it.

“ I mean, they’re actually taxing oil. They’re taxing natural gas. People’s gas — natural gas bill for their power to heat and cool — heat their homes and cook their food is going to increase 17%. And they’re talking about decreasing inflation? It’s a joke,” he added. 

Kelly, who claims to be moderate, has voted for Biden’s radical agenda 94 percent of the time, as FiveThirtyEight notes…..

The 2022 midterm election is fast approaching. The system for voting in Arizona is predominantly by mail-in ballots (around 80% of all ballots). The ballots will be mailed out to all voters registered for mail-in voting on October 12th. The actual ‘day’ of the election is Tuesday November 8, 37 days later.

Once upon a time when all voters went to the polls on the day of election, the tabulated results were announced the night of the election date. If the result of a specific race was razor thin and less than a legislated margin, a recount might prevent the naming of a winner. That was the exception for calling the results of the election.

It is still this way in most first world countries but not the United States and certainly not Arizona. Voting rules (some unconstitutional) were dramatically altered in many states in 2020 because of the Covid pandemic.

If global warming is truly an existential threat, then the nation’s elites are a threat and should be dealt with accordingly.

Of all the varieties of hypocrites, carbon hypocrites are among the worse, because they harm poor people the most.

You’ve heard about the two-faced archetypes: Uber-wealthy and powerful, they say that global warming is an existential threat while they own multiple mansions, fly around the world in private jets, and drive electric cars that go from zero to 60 in four seconds, powered by massive battery packs full of mined materials and recharged with carbon-generated electricity. The vehicles are green only if they come in that color. 

As will be discussed shortly, former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is one of the carbon hypocrites.

He and his ilk display their hyper-hypocrisy while looking down on the proles, bitter clingers, deplorables, Walmart shoppers, and clodhoppers. Then, even with their prep school and Ivy League pedigrees, they can’t figure out why the hoi polloi are attracted to Donald Trump.

Many of the hypocrites live in New York City, where Trump became a national name because the city’s sophisticates enabled him by bending zoning regulations for him, by living in Trump Tower along with Arab and Russian petro plutocrats and giving him constant publicity, including his own TV show.

I lived in metro New York for ten years and knew more of them than I wanted to know, as a result of heading an influential environmental group in the metro area. I told my board of directors and members to stick with facts and not engage in hyperbole, misinformation, or disinformation—although it would have been easy to get the media, politicians, and the public to swallow such baloney, given that environmentalism is one of those issues that plays more to emotions than to reason. (Other issues in this vein are poverty, inequality, equity, and racism.)

New Yorkers tend to believe that the city is an energy miser because it is densely populated, has extensive mass transit, has short commutes for city dwellers, has tiny apartments that don’t use much energy for heating and cooling, and has a corresponding lifestyle that makes it possible to get by without owning a car. Left out of the energy calculus, however, is the city’s “offshoring” of carbon burning to New Jersey, to other parts of the US, and to the world. 

Refineries, factories, warehouses, and fleets of trucks that service Manhattan line miles and miles of the New Jersey Turnpike. Commuters travel to and from the city not only on the turnpike but also on I-78 and I-80, including from as far away as Pennsylvania. Others commute from suburbs in Long Island and Connecticut. Tens of thousands of cars and trucks sit in massive traffic jams during rush hours. Thousands of trucks descend on Manhattan during the night to deliver food and goods, with their diesel engines running as they double-park to unload. Much of the food served in five-star restaurants is grown in the heartland with fertilizer produced from fossil fuels. Trash is either incinerated or put on trains and trucks to be shipped to landfills in other states. Squadrons of private jets fly in and out of Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, and commercial jets en route to LaGuardia, JFK and Newark airports circle for a half-hour or more in bad weather, burning petro and spewing pollution and noise over large swaths of the metro area.

On weekends and holidays, many of the city’s movers and shakers escape to their mansions on the north shore of Long Island and elsewhere. Of course, the mansions are heated and cooled when they aren’t there. No doubt, many of them are heated with oil, which is delivered by truck.

It’s lunacy to think that all of this carbon use can be converted to so-called clean energy in a couple of decades, that industrialized nations can survive without fossil fuels, that poor countries can end poverty without fossil fuels, that less burning of fossil fuels in one nation won’t result in more burning in other nations, and that global warming is existential and not just another serious problem that will be overcome. On the other hand, it is not lunacy to believe that wealthy elites, unlike common folks, have the money and political power to survive and prosper under draconian reductions in fossil fuels.   

This brings the discussion back to Michael Bloomberg.

The billionaire has launched a campaign called Beyond Petrochemicals to end the production of petrochemicals. The initial funding of $85 million will be spent on stopping 120 planned petrochemical projects in the US. 

It is not known if any of his targets are petrochemical plants that produce ammonia for fertilizer for feeding the world. But Bloomberg probably thinks that a little starvation would be good for humanity.  After all, when he was mayor, he wanted to lower the consumption of soda through higher taxes on the product, ostensibly to reduce obesity.

It’s telling that he went after soda but not Starbucks, even though the chain sells high-calorie milkshakes masquerading as coffee. Soda tends to be the drink of choice of those wearing blue collars while Starbucks tends to be the drink of choice of those wearing white collars.

I’d like to throw a Big Gulp in Bloomberg’s smug face, given his environmental hypocrisy. If memory serves, he owns several mansions, including a house in Bermuda. Does he travel there by rowboat or sail there with Greta Thunberg?

And how about the Bloomberg publishing industry and thousands of Bloomberg computer terminals? How are they powered?

If Bloomberg really believes that the world is going to end from global warming, then it is a moral imperative that he reduce his carbon footprint by selling his mansions and living in an efficiency apartment.

Speaking of mansions, the real estate section of the Wall Street Journal is geared to Bloomberg’s social class and fellow hypocrites. Below are excerpted descriptions of six homes recently featured in the section. I’ve edited the descriptions for brevity. They’ll give you a sense of the carbon lifestyles of the rich, famous and hypocritical.   

I’ve never been one to have class envy or begrudge the wealthy, but the hypocrisy of the nation’s elites makes me want to overthrow them, or at least force them to live like they want everyone else to live.

Excerpt One:  A 17-foot-long pool is a cherry on top of a $39.995 million Manhattan townhouse. The brick-and-limestone Tribeca home is about 23½ feet wide and approximately 10,600 square feet. The sellers are commercial real-estate investor Lucky Bhalla and his wife, Laura Bhalla, who purchased the property for $1.5 million in 2003, property records show. Mr. Bhalla founded the Manhattan investment firm Ascot Properties NYC.

Excerpt Two: A London-based businessman paid $50 million cash for a Gilded Age mansion in New York.  The buyer, who plans to use it as a pied-à-terre, never stepped foot in the building before buying it. Everything was done through his representatives.

Excerpt Three: An 18-Acre waterfront compound on Cape Cod is listed for $15.995 million. The property on Red Brook Harbor includes two houses, a boat house, a tennis court, a 20-foot-long dock, and a private sandy beach. A husband and wife named Bisson own the compound.  They enjoyed using the property for boating to locations such as Bassetts Island and Martha’s Vineyard. Mr. Bisson is currently a commercial real estate investor, and the Bissons own a restaurant called Wicked Craft in Boston.

Excerpt Four: An Aspen mansion has sold for $69 million in one of Aspen’s priciest-ever deals. Known as Silver Lining Ranch, the estate has a roughly 18,000-square-foot, three-story house with 10 bedrooms, according to Meriwether. The sellers were John and Elizabeth Burgess, records show. Mr. Burgess is a co-founder of BC Partners, a British private-equity firm.

Excerpt Five:  A Manhattan apartment long owned by the late pharmaceutical executive Martin Howard Solomon is coming to market for $55 million. Mr. Solomon and his wife, Sarah Billinghurst Solomon, paid $25 million for the Upper East Side home in 2004, according to property records. The neo-Italian Renaissance-style building, a co-op on the edge of Central Park, was designed by prominent architect J.E.R. Carpenter around 1920. The boutique building has drawn power players such as the late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. The five-bedroom apartment has views over Central Park and the city, said Serena Boardman of Sotheby’s International Realty, one of the listing agents. With 11 rooms, it has large entertaining spaces, multiple wood-burning fireplaces, and a dining room that can seat close to 30 people, she said. Ms. Boardman declined to specify the unit’s square footage.

Excerpt Six: In 2016, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos paid $23 million for two side-by-side historic mansions in Washington, D.C. The sprawling early-1900s houses had been a museum, but Mr. Bezos converted them into a massive home, where he has since thrown glittering parties attended by the likes of Bill Gates and Ivanka Trump. Now another one of the city’s grand historic mansions is hoping to follow suit. Jewett House, a circa-1905 Georgian Revival mansion that has been used for decades as the headquarters of the progressive Bauman Foundation, is listing for $14.5 million. Spanning about 16,500 square feet, the property is the most expensive home on the market in the city. “This house would be a perfect one for Bezos,” said John Landrum Bryant, vice president of the Bauman Foundation. Or, since Mr. Bezos already has a residence in D.C., an ideal buyer would be the mogul’s ex-wife, philanthropist MacKenzie Scott, he said. Mr. Bryant knows a thing or two about the housing preferences of the elite. Aside from being married to real-estate heiress Patricia Bauman, whose father launched the Bauman Foundation, he carries the title of prince of Monteagudo, a town in Spain, and goes by Prince John.

The Trump-aligned Republican’s non-traditional campaign represents a broader break from the old-line Republican Party.

Arizona Republican Kari Lake is running for governor as a hard-charging outsider. That’s why it came as a surprise when, ahead of the August primary, a supporter asked her about a rumor that she’d hired prominent GOP strategists closely aligned with the party establishment.

“I don’t know who these people are,” Lake pushed back, adding that she didn’t have “big, high-priced D.C. consultants” and that she preferred her team of true believers, many of them pro-Donald Trump 20-somethings who are new to politics. To drive the point home, Lake recalled, she waved over one of her young lieutenants and asked him to show off his “MAGA” tattoo — which happened to be on the inside of his lower lip.

The episode illustrates how Lake, a 53-year-old former local TV news anchor and first-time candidate running in a key swing state, has ripped out almost every page in the well-worn playbook on how to wage a campaign. And it highlights how aversion to old ways of doing business within the Republican Party is animating a new class of candidates after Trump’s presidency.

Lake is looking to extend the GOP’s 14-year hold on the Arizona governorship, but her campaign has little in common with the Republicans that ran before her.

Lake calls herself her own campaign manager, believes political consultants “don’t know what the hell they’re talking about” and refuses to call big donors who are accustomed to being courted. She ignores advice from the Arizona political class and says she’s not a “huge believer” in running TV ads, where campaigns typically spend most of their budget. Her “body man” works full-time as a realtor, her husband is her videographer and, until a few days ago, she had an old-school website that looked like it was designed during the early days of the Internet.

And while other candidates use polling data to shape their strategy, Lake hasn’t commissioned a single private survey since she won the primary— choosing instead, she says, to go with her instincts and interactions on the campaign trail.

While some seasoned Republican political hands wince, Lake is seeing positive returns — and has emerged as one of the most formidable Trump-aligned candidates of the midterms. After soundly defeating a better-funded primary opponent who had the backing of the sitting governor, Lake is in a neck-and-neck race with the incumbent Democratic secretary of state, Katie Hobbs…..

A spokesperson for the Department of Justice under Donald Trump told the Daily Caller that the recent letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland calling for an investigation on social media users spreading “disinformation” about child sex-changes is part of the Biden DOJ’s “political operation.”

The Oct. 3 letter sent to Garland asks the DOJ to “take swift action to investigate and prosecute all organizations, individuals, and entities” that have spread “misleading information targeting individual physicians and hospitals” that perform irreversible sex-change surgeries for minors.

The letter, authored by the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children’s Hospital Association, specifically states that a “few high-profile users on social media” are responsible for spreading the “disinformation” about child sex-change surgeries, which have resulted in “bomb threats.”

A spokesperson for Biden’s DOJ told the Daily Caller they “decline any additional comment” on if the DOJ plans to carry out the investigations on the “social media users” or anyone else mentioned in the letter.

Alexei Woltornist, a former spokesperson for Trump’s DOJ, told the Daily Caller that the letter “confirms that even those on the left view [the] DOJ as a political operation.”

“The behavior from the AMA is straight from the Soviet playbook. The legal system should be used to protect the rule of law, not to punish political enemies,” Woltornist continued.

When asked what the DOJ should do about the letter, Woltornist said, the “DOJ should be focused on restoring their credibility,” but that the perception that it’s a “political operation” can’t be reversed “with simple spin or messaging.”

High-profile journalists have vowed that they will continue exposing the hospitals responsible for allowing minors to have access to puberty blockers and irreversible genital surgeries.

The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh, one of the loudest voices against gender ideology, has said “there is nothing they can threaten that would make me back down from this fight.”

Journalist Colin Wright tweeted that he “will not stop exposing the atrocities inflicted upon children in hospitals in the name if ‘gender affirming care.’”

“Call me a terrorist, investigate me, put me on a no-fly list — I don’t care. What’s happening is horrific and needs to end,” Wright added.

Journalist Christopher Rufo, who exposed the letter to the DOJ, said, “I have a message for Attorney General Merrick Garland: you can threaten us; you can mobilize the FBI against us; you can drag us out of our homes in a pre-dawn raid. But we are not going to stop reporting on radical gender surgeries on minors.”

The Democrat’s plan is devilishly simple: Overwhelm the System to the Point that The People Ask the System for Help!

The Democrats plan is becoming crystal clear as we approach the 2022 midterm elections.

Their targets: Anyone who disagrees with their agenda.

Here’s how they do it and how they are overwhelming the system to the point where every American is now in the position of kowtowing to the system or fighting against the system.

It’s a multistep process that has been ongoing for over a decade.

1. Fear

The first step is to strike fear into the hearts of each of us.

Examples include:

  • Using the Covid pandemic, and government mandates, to control the people’s lives, liberties and jobs.
  • Mandating that everyone get vaccinated.
  • Forcing the LGBTQIE+ agenda in our schools, our communities and in our government, including our military.
  • Forcing their green agenda of eliminating all fossil fuels in order to save the planet.
  • Potentially starting a nuclear war or at least have we the people live in fear of a nuclear Armageddon.
  • Arresting Christians who are pro-life, while giving those who actually violate the law by firebombing and defacing pro-live centers a pass.
  • Raid the Mar-a-Lago home of a former President of the United States.
  • Cheat on the November 2022 midterm election and beyond.

2. Mis, Dis and Malinformation

It is easy to overwhelm the system and the people if all of the major legacy media and social media are pushing mis, dis and malinformation.

Here’s just the latest example of how they overwhelm us.

Today the legacy and social media are censoring the truth about topics like:

  • Russian collusion by President Donald J. Trump.
  • That the mostly peaceful demonstration on January 6th, 2021 was really an insurrection.
  • Hunter Biden’s laptop does contain damning information that is a threat to our national security.
  • That parents questioning what is taught to their children in public schools is a form of domestic terrorism.
  • That being a straight, white male is racist and bigoted.
  • That one can choose their gender pronoun.
  • That mankind can control the worlds climate.
  • That the Covid vaccines are unhealthy and even deadly.
  • That eliminating all fossil fuels will destroy the American economy and put the United States into a subordinate position on the world stage.
  • That Biden and his administration are actually not building back better anything.
  • That the Biden economy is going strong when in fact we are in a recession and a bull market.

On  June 16th, 2022 The Republican Daily reported in an article titled Remember the Disinformation Governance Board? Here They Go Again, It’s Even Worse Now, With Kamala reported,

Remember the Disinformation Governance Board? They supposedly had stopped that after the uproar over it, but White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that the work would continue.

It sounds as if they just might have repackaged it, shifted Departments, renamed it, and put Kamala Harris in charge now. Instead of Big Brother, we now can have Big Sister. And the wording here may be even more troubling because they’re already talking about the internet platform effect.

They’re calling it an internet policy task force, with the goal of “developing programs and policies” to protect “public figures” and journalists from “disinformation,” “abuse” and “harassment.”

A presidential memorandum establishing the new task force describes a sweeping mission to protect people who seek out a role in public life from online critics.

“In the United States and around the world, women and LGBTQI+ political leaders, public figures, activists, and journalists are especially targeted by sexualized forms of online harassment and abuse, undermining their ability to exercise their human rights and participate in democracy, governance, and civic life,” the memo says.

“Online abuse and harassment, which aim to preclude women from political decision-making about their own lives and communities, undermine the functioning of democracy.”

The new task force’s members include other Biden heavy hitters, such as Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Attorney General Merrick Garland and Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The panel will hold its first meeting Thursday afternoon. Within 180 days, it will submit to President Biden a blueprint that “outlin[es] a whole-of-government approach to preventing and addressing technology-facilitated gender-based violence, including concrete actions that executive departments, agencies, and offices have committed to take to implement the Task Force’s recommendations.”

Within a year, the board will issue a report with “additional recommendations and actions” advising broader steps that can be taken by internet platforms, state and local governments and schools, the document says.

In other words, going back to what everyone thought the Disinformation Board was supposed to be about — stopping criticism and questioning of the regime. How is this even real, questioning public figures and journalists is baked into the very nature of being American–as part of that thing we call the Constitution? The announced purpose seems even more dystopian than the prior board. Not to mention that they’re already saying they’re going to be targeting changes on internet platforms.

3. Spreading Myths

At the Yale University Commencement on June 11th, 1962 President John F. Kennedy said, “For the great enemy of truth is very often not the lie–deliberate, contrived and dishonest–but the myth–persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.”

Here are some myths that persist to allow government to overwhelm the system,

  • Increasing spending and the public debt does not cause inflation or a recession.
  • That the bigger and more powerful the government the better it is for the people and democracy.
  • America is a democracy, not a constitutional republic.
  • More regulation of business is good for business.
  • The role of government is to help.
  • The role of law enforcement is to protect the innocent.
  • The role of the judicial system is to be blind and provides equal justice under our laws.
  • That taxing the rich will help our economy, even though once the rich are taxed they find ways to reduce their tax burden via loopholes provided by the government.
  • Bullying for me is good but not for thee.

The Three Great Myths

On June 25, 2021, Biden signed an Executive Order on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility in the Federal Workforce. According to a White House fact-sheet, the Executive Order, among other items:

  • “Establishes a government-wide initiative to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in all parts of the Federal workforce. 
  • charges all Federal agencies with reviewing within 100 days whether employees who are members of underserved communities face barriers to employment, promotion, or professional development within their workforce.
  • Directs agencies to seek opportunities to establish or elevate Chief Diversity Officers within their organizations.
  • Expands diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility training throughout the Federal workforce.
  • Directs agencies to ensure that the Federal health benefits system equitably serves LGBTQ+ employees and their dependents by expanding access to comprehensive gender-affirming health care.”

This single action created a massive bureaucracy to push the three myths of diversity, equity and inclusion.

The Declaration of Independence, written by Thomas Jefferson, reads:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

What Jefferson, and the founding fathers, understood that while men are created equal by God, once born they, via nature and nurture, become different not equal. Some are stronger, have a higher IQ, are more prone to success, have families, have children and grandchildren and have hopes and dreams for the future.

It doesn’t matter what the color of ones skin is, what matters in the long run is the content of ones character.

However, Jefferson understood that the role of government was to protect and defend our individual rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. If government fails to protect these rights then the Declaration of Independence demands:

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

Perhaps the three greatest and most “persistent, persuasive and unrealistic” myths are diversity, equity and inclusion. These myths have taken the idea of “equal justice under the law” and turned it on its collectivist head. These myths threaten “abuses and usurpations” and are leading America toward “absolute despotism.”

These myths are race based and by definition racist policies.

Those who promote “diversity, equity and inclusion” want these myth for some but not for all Americans.

4. Lie then Deny

Lie and deny are the Biden, Harris and Democrat Party’s mantras leading into the 2022 midterms, 2024 presidential election and beyond.

Biden, Harris and the White House have been lying and denying on issues like:

  1. Kamala Harris repeatedly stating that there is no border crisis.
  2. Biden, Kamala Harris, Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortes, Al Gore and the Department of Energy believing that mankind can control the weather and climate by changing they’re behaviors, i.e. going green, buying all electric cars, stop all fossil fuels, stop eating meat, etc.
  3. Biden’s policies that male and female are inter-changeable and one can choose their personal pronouns and gender at will.
  4. Biden and his Department of Education believing that it is the governments duty to teach underaged children, K-3, about sex and any parent who speaks out against this is designated as a domestic terrorists by Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland.
  5. Being queer (LGBTQ+) is a healthy behavior and life choice that must be encouraged, promoted, funded and even mandated.
  6. Taking Covid vaccines is the only right thing to do. Not to get vaxxed is a form of fascism.

Some examples of Biden lying and denying on the U.S. economy include:

  1. Saying there is no inflation. Biden in a statement released Thursday, July 28th, 2022 said, “Coming off of last year’s historic economic growth — and regaining all the private sector jobs lost during the pandemic crisis — it’s no surprise that the economy is slowing down as the Federal Reserve acts to bring down inflation.” In 2021 there was no historic economic growth. The Federal Reserve just warned that the economy will get worse, not better.
  2. America’s gross domestic product fell by 0.9% on an annualized basis from April through June 2022 according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. It is commonly understood that to be in a recession there must be two consecutive quarters of the country’s gross domestic product shrinking. The Business Cycle Dating Committee officially defines when the U.S. economy is in a recession, and they define a recession as involving “a significant decline in economic activity that is spread across the economy and lasts more than a few months.” In other words America is in a recession.

Lie and Deny is their mantra and we the people are to believe that War is Peace—Freedom is Slavery—Ignorance is Strength. It’s 1984 all over again.

It is only be a matter of time before they come for us.

A group of individuals — previously identified as transgender and desisted from their perceived identity — submitted a letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland calling for the end of “gender affirming” care for minors, according to a letter published Friday.

The letter is signed by the group Detrans United and seven individuals, including outspoken detransitioner, Chloe Cole. Cole began hormone treatments at the age of 13 and obtained a double mastectomy at age 15. She desisted from her transgender identity and speaks out against medical transition for minors.

The letter to Garland denounced the alleged “uncontrolled medical experiments being performed on children in hospitals in the name of ‘gender affirming care.’”

“The medical safeguarding of children should not be a political issue,” the letter reads.

The detransitioners’ letter to the attorney general serves as a response to a letter from the American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, and Children’s Hospital Association endorsing the “gender affirmation” model and calling on the Department of Justice to investigate and prosecute those speaking out against it.

The detransitioners argued in the letter that the “gender affirming” endorsements “run counter to the recommendations of other countries, such as Sweden, Finland, and the U.K., who have conducted systematic reviews of evidence and concluded, unanimously, that the risks and uncertainties outweigh any known benefits.”

“We also cannot ignore the harms being carried out against countless children in the name of ‘gender affirmation’ that constitute much more than mere threats—we bear the literal scars of this medical violence,” the letter continues.

As individuals who pursued “irreversible hormone treatments and surgeries” because they “uttered the word ‘gender,’” the letter briefly describes the hardships of speaking against gender ideology. Detransitioners claim that unlike the “joyful and supportive communities that welcome all who transition” there is “no such loving community” awaiting them.

“Instead, we are routinely harassed and browbeaten into silence for being an inconvenience to popular narratives about ‘gender,’” the letter reads.

The Biden Department of Justice declined to comment on whether the department plans to investigate on behalf of “gender-affirming” medical institutions.

Florida study shows mRNA COVID vaccines kill kids

They did a study. We’ve been lied to.

Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, State Surgeon General Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo has announced new guidance regarding mRNA vaccines. The Florida Department of Health (Department) conducted an analysis through a self-controlled case series, which is a technique originally developed to evaluate vaccine safety.

This analysis found that there is an 84% increase in the relative incidence of cardiac-related death among males 18-39 years old within 28 days following mRNA vaccination. With a high level of global immunity to COVID-19, the benefit of vaccination is likely outweighed by this abnormally high risk of cardiac-related death among men in this age group. Non-mRNA vaccines were not found to have these increased risks.

As such, the State Surgeon General recommends against males aged 18 to 39 from receiving mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. Those with preexisting cardiac conditions, such as myocarditis and pericarditis, should take particular caution when making this decision.

Kanye Explains Why He Wore “White Lives Matter” Shirt

Kanye West is determined to keep on wearing his “White Lives Matter” t-shirt, which he sported at his Paris Fashion Week show, despite fierce backlash from the public and within his own entertainment industry. His point is not in the least that black lives don’t matter. Instead, he is distancing himself from and countering the woke hatred of the Marxist, thieving, destructive Black Lives Matter movement, which did nothing for black Americans. West’s shirt also achieves something else: it provides the picture of a successful and wealthy black man in America who embraces the white population. This is a nightmare for the woke. While they convulse in rage over West’s t-shirt, along comes another problem for them: entertainment icon Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has stepped up in support of West.

Although Diddy stated that the t-shirts were “very tone-deaf,” he also stated that people “don’t have to condemn Kanye or cancel him.”

Vanity Fair described P Diddy as “the artist and mogul” who is “defining his next era,” and goes on:

The man who turned hip-hop culture into a global lifestyle brand in the go-go 1990s has a lot to think about during the cultural upheaval of the 2020s. “I am the happiest I’ve ever been in life, I laugh the most, I smile the most, I breathe the most,” he tells me. In a word, Combs has love on his mind.

It doesn’t behoove the woke, the Black Lives Matter movement, or its political and financial supporters, to see a black man happy. If BLM operated from a place of respect and love for blacks, its core vision would align with that of Martin Luther King Jr., to unite whites and blacks. BLM should also be advocating against the genocide of blacks in Nigeria and for the victims of black-on-black crime in inner cities, and confronting the epidemic of single parent households in the black community. Instead, the group zeroes in on the perpetual narrative of white oppression of blacks, stirring up interracial tensions and undermining the rule of law, all while lining their pockets, helped along by the ADL, which states on its website:

“White Lives Matter” is a white supremacist phrase that originated in early 2015 as a racist response to the Black Lives Matter movement, which arose to protest against police brutality against African-Americans and garnered considerable publicity in 2014 for protests in Ferguson, Missouri, following the shooting death of Michael Brown at the hands of a Ferguson police officer.

In the view of the ADL, Kanye West is supporting “white supremacy,” and Diddy is encouraging it. The ADL has lost its way.

The woke have been trying in vain to downplay Diddy’s support. Years ago, Diddy faced his own backlash when he stated:

“Yes #BLACKLIVESMATTER ! But no one will respect us if we as a people don’t have any respect for our own black lives. We are committing genocide on ourselves. We are always looking for scapegoats.”

The Washington Examiner reports:

“Everyone knows Black Lives Matter was a scam,” Kanye said. He’s right. The Black Lives Matter movement was built on the lie that Michael Brown was a poor defenseless victim of a racist police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, in 2015. The myth that he submitted and was shot anyway — “Hands up, don’t shoot” — was a lie. Physical evidence showed that Brown attacked Officer Darren Wilson and attempted to get his gun before he was shot.

Back in June, BLM refused to help a black Chicago pastor raise money for community center for youth education and job training, while the group’s leaders squandered millions of dollars.

If racism and discrimination are to be countered in Western society, it should be from the standpoint that “all lives matter.” America is long past the civil rights area. Immigration and multiculturalism have also contributed to rapid change. The BLM portrait of America is inconsistent with the America that voted in a black president, while Arab countries, Iran, China and the like are not likely to vote in a member of a visible minority anytime soon. Divisive, woke propagandists and Marxist ideologues are narrow-minded; hate the West and are driven to tear it down. Kudos to Kanye West and Diddy. Diddy’s support of Kanye West also represents support for truth and free speech. The ability to reasonably discuss dissent is the mark of a civilized society, which the Left has significantly eroded with violence, intimidation, lies and suppression.

Gay Palestinian living under asylum in Israel murdered, beheaded in Hebron

A gay Palestinian man living under asylum in Israel was murdered and beheaded Wednesday in the West Bank city of Hebron. The unnamed suspect, who was arrested by Palestinian police near the scene of the crime soon after committing it, recorded the act in a video that he uploaded to social media before his capture.

The victim was 25-year-old Ahmad Abu Murkhiyeh, who according to reports on Ynet and Channel 12 had been living in Israel for the past two years as an asylum-seeker after authorities acknowledged his life would be in danger if he returned to Palestinian territory.

It was not immediately clear how or why the young man ended up in Hebron. Friends of Abu Murkhiyeh in Israel alleged he was likely kidnapped to the West Bank before his murder, though it was not clear that they had evidence of this….
