TYRANNY: Biden To Create a Vaccine Mandate For Interstate Travel Within United States

To stop freedom of movement between free states (red) and slave states (blue).

Get Ready For Vaccine Mandates If You Want To Drive Across State Lines

By: Net Breaking, October 2, 2021:

The Biden administration is constantly re-inventing ways to force the unvaccinated to take the Covid jab.

First, it was free burgers, donuts, and money.

Then, just three weeks ago, Biden forced vaccine mandates on businesses with over 100 employees.

Now, instead of respecting Americans’ freedom of choice, Biden plans to create a vaccine mandate for interstate travel within the United States.

What happened to Biden’s promise to never require federal vaccine mandates?

I guess it was just another empty promise from the failing Biden administration.

Does Biden’s $1.2 Trillion Infrastructure Bill Include a Mileage Tax?

Here’s a dismaying prospect: Paying 6, 8, or 10 cents in new taxes for every mile you drive. It may sound small, but at an 8 cent rate, that would be $1,144 in new annual taxes for the average American, who drives about 14,300 miles a year. Yikes!

Some on social media are claiming that this punitive tax scheme has been slipped into President Biden’s $1.2 trillion infrastructure spending legislation—which, after all, is nearly 3,000 pages and is chock full of unrelated waste and partisan pet projects. But are they right to be concerned about a mileage tax soon becoming reality?

No. At least, not yet.

The infrastructure legislation does not include a mileage tax or another form of driving tax. What it does include is a pilot program to study and test the idea. The legislation authorizes $125 million in taxpayer funding for this test initiative. (A lot of taxpayer money for an experiment, no?)

“People would volunteer to be part of the test,” fact-checkers at local New York news outlet WGRZ-TV report. “The test would require volunteers to record their miles, pay the fees, and then be reimbursed by the government. This pilot program would go through the year 2026 and at that point, if Congress and the president like it, they would have to pass another bill making it into law. This infrastructure bill simply creates the program.”

We can certainly question the wisdom of this endeavor. But rest assured that if the infrastructure legislation ultimately passes—a likely if not certain outcome—you won’t get a new per-mile bill from the IRS. However, this move does represent a shift toward mainstreaming and advancing the idea of a per-mile driving tax.

Such a tax would be highly regressive, meaning that it would disproportionately burden low-income Americans. So, too, the costs would fall harder on rural Americans who drive more than their city-dwelling counterparts. That said, proponents argue it simply funds highway infrastructure by taxing those who use it. They also note that it could replace the gas tax, which currently attempts to do the same yet fails to capture usage by electric vehicles.

Still, the prospect of sizable new taxes levied on working-class Americans solely for the privilege of being allowed to drive your own car isn’t an attractive one. Luckily, we aren’t actually facing this as an immediate reality, even if it is slowly being advanced into the mainstream.

BIDEN’S LEGACY: Taliban in U.S. Gear Stage Mockery of Iconic Iwo Jima Flag-Raising Photo

Biden’s legacy encapsulated in a photo.

MOCKING IWO JIMA IMAGE

Elite Taliban unit wearing US gear appears to mock iconic American WWII photo

by Emma Colton, Fox News, August 21, 2021:

A Taliban fighting unit called the Badri 313 Battalion was spotted patrolling Afghanistan with U.S.-made gear, and posting one photo appearing to mock the iconic World War II photo, Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima.

Propaganda videos posted this week on channels affiliated with the Taliban show soldiers in the little-known Badri 313 Battalion carrying U.S. and U.S. ally-made weapons and gear that appear to be stolen from allied militaries while patrolling parts of Kabul.

In one propaganda photo, members of the Badri 313 Battalion are seen hoisting a Taliban flag in a similar fashion to the six U.S. Marines who raised the U.S. flag on Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima in 1945….

The Badri 313 special unit differs from typical Taliban fighters as they are made to look more like U.S. soldiers, with camouflage, combat boots, and body armor. They also carry M4 carbines and drive armored Humvees, the Sinclair Broadcasting Group reported.

“With the Taliban now in power, there is every reason to believe the militia could grow in strength,” Aroor added. “Expect to see much more of the Badri 313 in the weeks and months ahead.”

President and founder of Eurasia Group, Ian Bremmer, also posted a photo of Taliban fighters “with their new American gear” on Twitter Saturday morning.

The U.S. gave Afghan forces an estimated $28 billion in weaponry between 2002 and 2017. But now, “everything that hasn’t been destroyed is the Taliban’s now,” a U.S. official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told Reuters.

The seizure of American weaponry, such as advanced aircraft, serves as a propaganda tool, as insurgents are unable to operate the aircraft without training….

WATCH: Biden Jeered By Anti-Pipeline Protesters in Virginia

https://twitter.com/AndrewSolender/status/1418726936470294532?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1418726936470294532%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fgellerreport.com%2F2021%2F07%2Fbiden-jeered-by-anti-pipeline-protesters-in-virginia.html%2F

America returning the middle finger the Demo-communists have been giving the American people.

“No, no, no, no. Let ’em talk. That’s OK. Look, this is not a Trump rally. Let ’em holler. No one’s paying attention.”

Spoken like a true autocrat.

Biden fends off anti-pipeline protesters in Virginia

President Biden’s Friday night stump speech in Virginia was interrupted by anti-pipeline protesters — leading the commander-in-chief to tell his audience to ignore the hecklers.

By: NY Post, July 24, 2021:

Biden was about two minutes into his remarks at an Arlington rally for Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe when a group of people began yelling “Stop Line 3!” referring to a controversial oil pipeline project in northern Minnesota.

The rest of the crowd attempted to drown out the protesters by booing and chanting “Let’s go, Joe!” as the president tried to restore order.

“That’s OK, that’s all right,” Biden said. “No, no, no, no. Let ’em talk. That’s OK. Look, this is not a Trump rally. Let ’em holler. No one’s paying attention.”

The president spoke before an enthusiastic and largely unmasked crowd of around 3,000 people in support of McAuliffe, a longtime Democratic party heavyweight who is seeking another term as Virginia’s governor. McAuliffe previously held that office from 2014 to 2018. Under Virginia law, governors cannot run for a second consecutive term.

McAuliffe is favored to defeat his Republican opponent, private equity executive Glenn Youngkin. While the race is seen as competitive, the rapid growth of northern Virginia’s Washington, DC suburbs has tipped the commonwealth into the reliably Democratic column. No Republican presidential candidate has won Virginia since George W. Bush in 2004 and the last GOPer elected governor was Bob McDonnell in 2009.
President Joe Biden speaks at a campaign event in Virginia, as he fended off hecklers shouting anti-pipeline remarks.President Joe Biden speaks at a campaign event in Virginia, as he fended off hecklers shouting anti-pipeline remarks.AP

“You’re not gonna find anyone, I mean anyone, who knows how to get more done for Virginia than Terry,” Biden said. “Off-year election, the country’s looking. This is a big deal.”

Still, as one of only two regularly scheduled governor’s races this year (New Jersey being the other), the Virginia contest is drawing outsize national attention as a potential measuring stick of voter sentiment ahead of next year’s midterm elections……

U.S. borders open to any and all, including jihad terrorists — but not Cubans fleeing Communism

Recently the Cuban people did an almost unheard-of thing. Risking life and limb, they took to the streets to protest their horrific treatment under the Communist regime that has kept the nation in slavery since the putsch that put the Castro brothers in power in 1959. Today, the Cuban people have had enough as the failed Communist economy denies them even life’s most basic necessities. “There’s no food, no medicine, there is no freedom. They do not let us live,” one protester told the BBC.

While this was happening, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas made a stunning statement. Directly addressing the Cuban people, he said, “Allow me to be clear: If you take to the sea, you will not come to the United States.”

What makes this even more amazing is that Mayorkas himself is a Cuban immigrant. He knows, or should know, just how bad the Cuban people have it. And while he overtly denies entry to Cubans that may consider fleeing that nation for their own survival, the Biden administration has flung the borders wide open to all but those with a clearly legitimate reason to seek asylum in the U.S.

In another astonishing statement to the House Homeland Security Committee earlier this year, Mayorkas claimed that “the border is secure and the border is not open.” Meanwhile, we have learned that not only is the border surge unprecedented in numbers, with the administration doing nothing to stop it, but Tucker Carlson recently cited irrefutable evidence that, with the explicit complicity of the U.S. military, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is utilizing Laughlin Air Force base in Texas to covertly fly illegal aliens to communities throughout the U.S. in the dead of night.

Most, if not all of these illegals are not legitimate asylum seekers; they are economic migrants. In an interview with Dinesh D’Souza, TV commentator Steve Cortes stated, “They are coming from troubled countries, yes. Places like Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras; but those countries, while they are tough neighborhoods, they are not places of systemic political persecution.”

He is exactly right. Refugees and asylum seekers fit under a very specific definition that requires “a well-founded fear of persecution on account of race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion.” Few, if any, Central American migrants meet this standard. The government’s own statistics prove it. For the first nine months of Fiscal Year 2021 (which started October 1, 2020), a total of 191 refugees have been admitted from Latin America and the Caribbean under the State Department’s refugee admittance program.

Even that doesn’t tell the whole story. The State Department no longer provides access to its daily refugee tracking statistics, which provided up-to-the-minute resettlement statistics, including refugee religion and other useful information. Why did they stop?

The Trump administration reduced annual refugee numbers to a trickle. In FY 2020, that total was 11,814, the lowest in the program’s history. Yet despite the Trump ban on immigration from countries of terrorism concern, 25 percent of all refugees came from Islamic countries known to harbor terrorists, as shown in the table below.

Refugee Resettlement
Muslim Nations 2020
Afghanistan        604
Eritrea        475
Ethiopia        116
Iran        137
Iraq        537
Pakistan        169
Somalia        149
Sudan        254
Syria        481
Subtotal     2,922
Total Refugees   11,814
Muslim Nations 25%

The table may not paint a complete picture. A portion of the 2,115 refugees from Burma (Myanmar) resettled in 2020 were likely Rohingya Muslims. While they represent less than two percent of Burma’s population, they comprise 42.7 percent of the population of Myanmar’s Rakhine State. They are considered pariahs throughout the nation and are not recognized by the government. The Rohingya joined the pan-Islamic movement in the 1970s, but have engaged in an insurgency since Myanmar declared independence in 1948.

Increasing numbers of Rohingya Muslims have been resettled to the United States in recent years — about 15,000 since 2009. The State Department formerly banned resettlement of Rohingya Muslims, but today, State seems intent on resettling the most problematic populations throughout the world. And because State no longer provides real-time tracking statistics, it is impossible to know the demographic breakdown of Burmese refugees — there is little doubt, however, that it is substantial number.

The Biden administration lifted President Trump’s FY 2021 refugee cap from 15,000 to 62,500 and promises to raise that number to 125,000 in the next fiscal year, but so far has been unable to replicate the massive refugee program pushed by President Obama. Through June 30, 2021, a total of 4,780 refugees have been admitted for FY 2021. This, however, excludes the Special Immigrant Visa program (SIV), which provides resettlement to Iraqi and Afghan interpreters and others who worked with the U.S. military and other agencies during the conflicts in those nations.

On its face, the SIV program would seem appropriate. Those who assist the U.S. military risk death at the hands of our enemies. During the Vietnam War, we left millions to fend for themselves after we abandoned South Vietnam in 1975. The Vietnamese Communists persecuted many and continue persecuting Vietnam’s indigenous Montagnards because of their assistance to U.S. forces during that war.

Following the Biden administration’s abrupt exit from Afghanistan in the middle of the night, fears mounted, justifiably, that Biden would leave many behind to face firing squads or worse at the hands of the Taliban. Biden has now promised to resettle Afghans (and their families) who worked for the U.S. military — as many as 50,000 or more.

Refugee resettlement expert Ann Corcoran has pointed out however, that 70,000 SIVs have already been admitted to the U.S. “How many interpreters can there be?” she asks.

Over the past four years alone, 43,523 Afghanis have been come to the U.S. under the SIV program.

According to Mary Doetsch, a former State Department employee who worked the refugee program for many years, much of the refugee resettlement program, including the SIV program, is fraught with fraud. Authorities are currently reviewing over 104,000 cases of possible Iraqi refugee and SIV fraud.

Never mind the question of how many actually qualify as “interpreters,” it is impossible to know how many of these may have terrorist intentions, or pose some other security risk. In 2011, two Iraqi nationals granted refugee status were discovered trying to supply terrorists. They were also implicated in IED explosions in Iraq that claimed American lives. That discovery slowed down the SIV program until vetting was improved.

But more generally, European nations have begun to discover the problem with the large Afghan populations now living there. Rampant crime and especially rape have become epidemic, forcing some municipalities to stop accepting any refugees. The mayor of the Austrian city of Tulln, who initially supported the influx of refugees, said, “We’ve had it.”

In 2020, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service processed 706,000 naturalization applications of 970,900 received. This was down from 2019 due to COVID, but the U.S. has been granting legal permanent residence to approximately one million people every year. So our nation is being inundated with refugees and immigrants, some of whom have questionable motives at best.

Yet it is still not enough. The Biden administration wants to import as many illegals as possible. In a little-reported development on this front, the Democrats intend to insert an amnesty provision in the latest budget reconciliation proposal that would fund government operations for the coming year. If successful, that change would provide a path to citizenship and voting for 22 million or more illegal aliens currently residing in the U.S. This is twice the number touted by the Census Bureau for the past decade. Because most would likely vote Democrat, this would guarantee Democrats a monopoly of political power for the foreseeable future. If you think what is happening in Cuba is bad, just wait to see how bad it will become here.

The Democrats earlier attempted to pass H.R. 1, the horribly misnamed “For the People Act,” which would have federalized elections and outlawed most efforts, like voter ID, to prevent vote fraud. Because current Senate rules require a 60/40 vote to overcome a filibuster, this bill fortunately did not pass. But never to be discouraged, Democrats are now proposing H.R. 4, the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. This proposal, named after civil rights icon John Lewis, is yet another example of the Democrats misleading use of language.

The kind of support it is receiving tells you all you need to know about what they hope to achieve. It was recently touted on the Indivisible website. Indivisible is the extremist group initiated with a manual written by Democrat Congressional staffers calling for people to resist the newly elected Trump administration. Indivisible personified the #RESIST movement during President Trump’s term. Like most overtly partisan leftist groups, Indivisible was granted tax-exempt status by the IRS in 2017 and received millions from the radical Left Tides Foundation and others.

Democrats continue to raise the specter of abolishing the filibuster — which is one of the few arrows in our quiver preventing Democrats from ramming through such unethical, and clearly self-serving legislation. Without a clear path forward for this legislation as long as the filibuster remains in place, Democrats are now looking to amnesty to deliver them the totalitarian power they seek. This is the primary reason Biden has flung the borders open, and why despite almost universal opposition to this nationwide crisis, they will not lift a finger to stem the flow.

Budget reconciliation only requires a simple majority vote. However, it also has some stops that can prevent amnesty from sneaking through. The current Parliamentarian issued a restrictive ruling before, keeping a federal minimum wage out of a previous reconciliation bill. The Byrd Rule prohibits extraneous matters from being included in reconciliation bills. Senators can raise a point of order to enforce the Byrd Rule. It’s up to us to make sure they do. The reconciliation bill includes $126 billion to create a pathway to citizenship for certain categories of illegal aliens. We need to make sure the GOP Senate does its job by preventing this from getting through.

The endless trickery, lies and misinformation peddled by the Biden administration, Democratic legislators and their media propagandists, coupled with their radically destructive agenda, are enough to make one’s head explode. But as I explained in my latest book, Who Was Karl Marx?, this is their intention. The Left has pulled out the stops in its latest power grab. Part of the strategy is to make life intolerable, while at the same time marginalizing anyone who expresses any kind of opposition. The purpose is to push citizens to two extremes, revolt or submit. Neither are acceptable.

Revolt, as the Cubans have now found, will result in a crushing response. Yes, even here in the U.S. The January 6 “insurrection” which was almost certainly set up by the Democrats, as Rep. Louie Gohmert claimed at CPAC Texas this week, is the canary in the coal mine. It demonstrates how viciously the institutional Left are willing to treat opponents under the thinnest of pretexts. Hundreds remain jailed without charge, almost all of whom did little more than enter the Capitol once the doors were open.

A Daily Mail report listed the abuses faced, including solitary confinement, assaults and degrading treatment by jail guards and other abuse. One attorney was quoted as saying, “The DC Central Detention Facility has become Guantanamo Bay for American citizens.”

One claimed to have been “savagely beaten” by guards.

Violence has never been an option. To suspect Trump supporters of engaging in it defies reality. The only organized violence witnessed in this country over the past year has been instigated by the Left, often with the concurrence of Democrat leaders. Submission, however, is not an option either. It would simply grant Democrats the absolute power they seek. And that would not end the pressure. Americans would find that the pressure only increases, as the Left used its newfound power to fleece our nation of every resource we have and ruthlessly punish anyone who objects.

While our eyes are averted, this theft has already been occurring. Much of the trillions in spending already authorized for COVID has actually gone to bail out Democrat spendthrift states and line the pockets of Democrat allies. But other sleazy maneuvers have accomplished similar outcomes.

As of June, 23 states have joined a law suit targeting Biden’s cancellation of the Keystone pipeline. Biden did this as part of the effort to reverse the Trump administration’s success in making America energy independent. It has cost thousands of jobs. Most people are unaware, however, that Biden did not cancel the competing “Line 3” pipeline being constructed by Canadian oil and gas firm Enbridge that traverses indigenous lands in Minnesota. Domestic policy advisor Susan Rice owns millions in shares of Enbridge and convinced Biden to keep that one open, despite broad opposition from the Left. This kind of bottomless corruption and hypocrisy is endemic within the Democrat Party.

Democrats seek absolute power and the wealth that goes with it. The only viable alternative to this overt power grab is overwhelming victory at the polls in 2022 and 2024. We are already seeing a building momentum as citizens across the nation respond to public education’s efforts to indoctrinate our children to the divisive Critical Race Theory and horrifically destructive transgender agenda. Governors in Florida, South Dakota, Texas and other red states are taking action, offering attractive alternatives.

Citizens are voting with their feet to find these islands of sanity, and as this has shown, the Left’s destructive agenda is wildly unpopular. Yet with most media, the education establishment and other institutions of culture in their grip, too many people remain ignorant. Our only option is to fight at every level to maintain the freedom that has made America a lantern to the world for centuries. We cannot go silent into this good night.

Are Biden’s Handlers Making Room for Right-Wing ‘Terrorists’ at Guantanamo?

My latest in PJ Media:

The establishment media agrees that Biden’s handlers’ freeing of Taliban jihadi Abdul Latif Nasser from Guantanamo, where he had been held for nineteen years, was the first step toward taking care of more unfinished business from the Obama administration and finally closing the notorious prison camp. But is that really the plan? Or might Guantanamo be filled up with a new group of terrorists?

The signs aren’t hard to find. CNN reported Wednesday that “the Justice Department repeatedly has documented the emergence of what could be called small, right-wing extremist groups.” One of the examples offered in the report is that of Robert Morss, a Pennsylvania resident who was arrested in connection with the January 6 Reichstag Fire. According to CNN, when Morss was arrested, police “found in his car a notebook with a page titled, ‘Step by Step to Create Hometown Militia.’ Beneath it Morss allegedly scribbled bullet point reminders, fleshing out the idea of forming a violent cell – ‘bring assault rifle’ and ‘set up your kit’ — and notes on ‘formation.’”

Then there were Ian Rogers and Jarrod Copeland, who were “so devoted to former President Donald Trump and so angry about the 2020 election result, that they allegedly plotted to blow up the Democratic headquarters building in Sacramento. One commented over an encrypted messaging thread, where the two discussed planning, that he realized they would be perceived as domestic terrorists, and the second man had previously joined an anti-government militia group.”

Whether these three men actually did anything criminal, or planned to do so, is a matter for the courts to decide. But ominously, a prosecutor wrote about the Rogers/Copeland case that “all of the political and social conditions that motivated them to plan what they themselves described as a terrorist attack remain.”

What are those conditions? Raw Story gave a clue to the answer to that in a risibly hysterical piece Monday that began:

A very particular, cultish and dangerous brand of domestic terrorism has been honed, and we should call it what it is: Trumpist terrorism.

We’ve rarely if ever experienced domestic terrorism organized not only in the service of an ideology — white supremacy — but in the name of one person, a cult figure for whom people will kill and die, devoted to his cause and taking perceived orders from him.

But that is what is happening now.

There is more. Read the rest here.

Biden’s Handlers’ Freeing of Guantanamo Detainee Highlights the Confusion and Failure of the ‘War on Terror’

Abdul Latif Nasser spent nineteen years in the Guantanamo prison camp without charge. This was a tremendous injustice, and was born of the confusion about what exactly we were facing after 9/11 in the first place. Bush called it a “war on terror,” and so we put enemy combatants in a prison camp. In past wars, soldiers who became prisoners of war were generally not tried; they were held until the end of hostilities and then released. But Bush’s war became Obama’s war and was then transformed by the latter into a war against “violent extremism,” which opened the door for the identity of the enemy to be shifted from jihadis to “white supremacists,” a label increasingly used of all non-Leftist Americans. Neither the war against “terror” or against “violent extremism” have any definable end point, so there was no end point for the jihadis in Guantanamo.

Meanwhile, many former Guantanamo detainees have returned to the jihad. Will Abdul Latif Nasser do so? Time will tell. But was anything done while he was at Gitmo to disabuse him of his jihadist sensibilities? Of course not. That would have been “Islamophobic.” Instead, he was given a Qur’an, the book that led him to wage jihad in the first place, in a manner that demonstrated that even the infidel U.S. had exaggerated reverence for the book: non-Muslim guards even wore gloves when handling it (because unbelievers are “unclean,” as per Qur’an 9:28). It is entirely possible that Abdul Latif Nasser is an even more hardened and determined jihadi than he was before. Your taxpayer dollars, and Washington’s willful ignorance, at work.

Guantanamo detainee Abdul Latif Nasser speaks out after release

by Guy Davies, ABC News, July 20, 2021:

A Guantanamo Bay detainee who spent nearly two decades at the notorious facility and thought he might not make it out alive spoke out after being released — the first prisoner freed by the Biden administration.

“I was born again on July 19. My birthday is no longer March 4. I was born yesterday on July 19,” Abdul Latif Nasser said in a statement shared with ABC News. “I have no words to describe my overwhelming sense of happiness and joy. It is like a miracle after 20 years to be home and celebrate Eid together with my family.”

On Tuesday, the legal charity Reprieve, which campaigned for his release and provided legal support, confirmed to ABC News that Nasser was reunited with his family in Morocco.

Nasser, whose case was profiled by ABC News in 2019, was first cleared for release from Guantanamo more than five years ago. He had been detained there for 19 years after he was captured in Afghanistan, alleged by the U.S. government to be an active member of the Taliban and then to have trained with al-Qaeda.

During his time at Guantanamo, he was never charged with a crime, and his lawyers stress that none of the U.S. government’s claims have been aired in a court of law. He was cleared for release in 2016 following a Periodic Review Board (PRB) hearing, set up by the Obama administration in 2011, in order to speed up the process recommending individuals for transfer away from the facility.

The PRB consists of officials from six major agencies, and all members of the board must recommend that law of war detention is no longer justified….

In a statement from Nasser’s brother, Mustafa, his family said were delighted Nasser was home in time for the Islamic festival, Eid al-Adha….

Biden Administration Ramps Up IRS Enforcement — While encouraging massive immigration law violations.

It is hardly a secret that I have been critical of the efforts by a succession of administrations to fairly but effectively enforce our nation’s immigration laws and secure our borders against the un-inspected entry of huge numbers of aliens into the United States.

My testimony at numerous congressional hearings conducted in the House and Senate provides incontrovertible  evidence of my grave concerns about multiple failures of a succession of administrations, from both political parties, to secure our nation’s borders, enforce our immigration laws from within the interior of the United States and, in general, imbue our immigration system with true integrity to protect America and Americans while honoring America’s proud tradition of being a nation built by immigrants.

I have been equally vocal in expressing my concerns about so-called “Sanctuary” policies of numerous cities and even some states that are in apparent violation of Title 8, U.S.C. § 1324.

Several years ago, when I was a guest on the Fox News program, Your World With Neil Cavuto, Neil asked me what it would take for me to be satisfied that our immigration laws were being enforced adequately.

Neil’s question caught me by surprise but I quickly reflected on his question and then said that I would be happy with immigration law enforcement efforts if aliens in the United States were as concerned about receiving correspondence from the DHS, as Americans are about receiving correspondence from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Neil quickly agreed, saying that my answer was profound and very fair and reasonable.

Therefore it was with a bit of bemusement and frustration that I noticed that on May 16, 2021 The Hill reported, Lawmakers bicker over how to go after tax cheats.

This report begins with the following statement:

Lawmakers are debating President Bidens pitches to strengthen tax enforcement against high-income individuals and businesses as Congress considers different ways to pay for infrastructure legislation.

Democrats and Republicans both say they want to narrow the gap between taxes paid and the amount owed, suggesting that going after tax cheats could garner bipartisan support as a potential revenue stream.

The Hill article went on to report:

Biden has called for providing the IRS with an additional $80 billion over the next decade to ramp up enforcement, update technology and improve customer service at the agency. He has also proposed requiring banks to include new info on account activity in annual reports to the IRS so that the agency can better target its audits.

The administration estimated that its proposals would lead to a net gain of $700 billion over 10 years.

A robust and sustained investment in the IRS is necessary to ensure it can do its job of administering a fair and effective tax system,” the Treasury Department said in a fact sheet about Bidens proposal late last month.

Biden said that he wants to beef up tax enforcement as a way to offset the cost of his $4.1 trillion infrastructure and social spending proposals, with other funding coming from higher taxes on the wealthy and corporations.

So, the same Biden administration now seeks $80 billion to ramp up the enforcement of our nation’s tax laws against Americans continues to make an abject mockery of border security and the enforcement of our immigration laws.  Biden’s succession of Executive Orders that have hamstrung both the Border Patrol and ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) from securing our borders and enforcing our immigration laws, has induced and encouraged the largest influx of “undocumented” aliens in history!

Let me be clear, anyone who violates any of our nation’s laws, including our tax laws, should be found and prosecuted.  But the dangerous message that is currently being sent around the world when it is clear that the federal government is determined to enforce one set of laws while aiding and abetting the violations of other laws- particularly the laws that foreign nationals are most likely to encounter when they seek to enter the United States?

The Oaths of Office that are administered to members of our armed forces, to our law enforcement officers and our elected politicians call for all to defend the Constitution in its entirety and enforce all of our laws, not just the provision of the Constitution we like or the laws we agree with.

Nevertheless, far too many politicians, on all levels of government, have come to treat our Constitution and our laws like items on a restaurant’s menu, arbitrarily and capriciously deciding which laws should be enforced and which laws they will blatantly ignore and perhaps. even obstruct, not unlike the way that patrons of a restaurant decide which items on the menu they want to order and which items they will not order, ordering the salad while rejecting the soup of the day.

Our immigration laws are the prime example of laws that are being rejected by increasing numbers of cities and states around the United States and, most disturbingly, by the Biden administration, in apparent violation of a section of law I noted previously, Title 8, U.S.C. § 1324 which begins with the following paragraph:

Title 8, U.S.C. § 1324(a) defines several distinct offenses related to aliens. Subsection 1324(a)(1)(i)-(v) prohibits alien smuggling, domestic transportation of unauthorized aliens, concealing or harboring unauthorized aliens, encouraging or inducing unauthorized aliens to enter the United States, and engaging in a conspiracy or aiding and abetting any of the preceding acts. Subsection 1324(a)(2) prohibits bringing or attempting to bring unauthorized aliens to the United States in any manner whatsoever, even at a designated port of entry. Subsection 1324(a)(3).

Additionally it would appear that these actions also violate Article IV Section 4 of the Constitution of the United States which states:

“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.”

My concerns have only increased and, indeed increased exponentially, in the wake of the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 and following a succession of other terror attacks by other international terrorists.

My concerns about the nexus between immigration failures and national security and the threat of terror attacks launched by radical Islamic terror organizations have increased drastically since Biden selected Alejandro Mayorkas (pictured above) to head up the DHS, as I noted in my article, Biden’s DHS: Department of Homeland Surrender.  As I noted in excerpt from my earlier article about Mr. Mayorkas:

On March 24, 2015 ABC News reported, Top Homeland Official Alejandro Mayorkas Accused of Political Favoritism Alejandro Mayorkas oversaw controversial $500,000 visa program.”

The above-noted report was preceded by two ABC News reports that were published on February 3, 2015 which illustrate a clear nexus between these visas and national security:

Whistleblowers: US Gave Visas to Suspected Forgers, Fraudsters, Criminals Internal documents show feds ignored warnings from FBI.”  This report began with this excerpt:

Officials overseeing a federal program that offers an immigration short-cut to wealthy foreign investors have ignored pointed warnings from federal agents and approved visas for some immigrants suspected of having committed fraud, money laundering, and even one applicant with alleged ties to a child porn website, an ABC News investigation has found. The shortcomings prompted concerns within the Department of Homeland Security that the boutique immigration program would be exploited by terrorists, according to internal documents obtained by ABC News.

It is shocking,” said Sen. Charles Grassley, an Iowa Republican. Particularly when you have F.B.I. and other law enforcement agencies that are saying national security could be compromised or is being compromised — that’s enough for us to be concerned.”

Feds Investigating Iran Ties to Firm Involved in US Visa Program Documents: Iranian operatives may be abusing program to “infiltrate” U.S.”  This report began with these excerpt:

Federal agents in Los Angeles are investigating an L.A. shipping firm and its Iranian-born owner who for years have participated in and promoted an obscure U.S. immigration program — allowing the company to recruit wealthy foreign investors to receive visas and potentially Green Cards, law enforcement sources told ABC News.

The companys name surfaced in a confidential Department of Homeland Security government document, which raised concerns that this particular visa program may be abused by Iranian operatives to infiltrate the United States.”

Whistleblowers inside the federal agency that oversees the immigration program told ABC News they have been deeply frustrated by an inability to de-certify the company, even after they became aware of the investigation and saw the companys name surface in an alarming internal Department Homeland Security memo. The memo, shared with ABC News, outlines concerns that Irans Revolutionary Guards have attempted to exploit the visa program to infiltrate the United States.”

It would appear that cheating on immigration applications by committing immigration fraud, a major vulnerability that was identified by the 9/11 Commission as the key method of entry and embedding for international terrorists, is not an issue for Mayorkas, while tax cheats, on the other hand, had better watch out!

The fact that Mayorkas is the head of Biden’s DHS reminds me of an apt Yiddish saying that when translated states, “When the fish goes bad, it smells from the head”

Watch Closely: Biden’s Gives Away His Dirty Trick to Make It Through First Press Conference

By Kyle Becker, March 25, 2021

President Joe Biden gave the first press briefing in over two months in office on Thursday. Watch as he takes his first question:

Biden, after taking a question from Zeke Miller of the Associated Press, fumbles around with his notes and takes peeks at it throughout his answer.

“Well, I’m — look,” Biden said and paused, then began looking through a booklet of scripted answers. “When, uh, when I took office I, uh, decided that it was a fairly basic, simple proposition. And that is, I got elected to solve problems.”

“And the most urgent problems facing the American people I stated from the outset,” he contiued, “was COVID-19 and the economic dislocation for millions and millions of Americans.”

“And so that’s why I put all my focus in the beginning, for a lot of problems, put all of my focus on dealing with those particular problems,” Biden said while again referring to his notes.

The reaction on Twitter was incredulity.

Biden also was calling on reporters based on a prepared list.

Despite having 64 days to prepare for the event, Biden can’t even answer a question authoritatively without notes. What a difference from President Trump, who could talk for hours unscripted without notes or a teleprompter.

South Korea to release $7 billion in frozen assets to Iran after consulting with Biden’s handlers

While Biden may well be looking for ways to save face in a standoff with Iran, he just gave the thumbs up for South Korea to release $7 billion in assets in Iran. Biden likely hopes this gesture will move Iran closer to negotiations with the U.S. If Biden is lucky, this money will lead Iran to soften its stance and return to the negotiating table, so as to restart the disastrous Iran nuclear deal that saw over $100 billion flow into the coffers of the Islamic Republic. That was a windfall that allowed the mullahs to continue their jihad in the region and globally; another such windfall is in the offing.

To facilitate the trade with Iran of humanitarian items, such as medicine and medical equipment, South Korea has been seeking to use a Swiss channel backed by the U.S., known as the Swiss Humanitarian Trade Arrangement (SHTA), to use the money through Swiss companies’ sales of goods to Iran.

But the trade of humanitarian items just frees up money for other activities. Who could forget Iran’s deceptions? These include its violation of the nuclear deal, and its own admission to having done so, as well as its boastful, repeated threats and provocations regarding its military capabilities. Yet far too many Western leaders have never recognized the implications of all this.

“Foreign ministry says Iran’s assets to be unlocked through consultations with US,”

Korea Times, February 23, 2021:

The Iranian assets locked in South Korea will be released after consultations with the United States, the foreign ministry said Tuesday, after Iran claimed it has reached a deal with Seoul on how to transfer and use the frozen money.

According to Iran’s government website, the agreement was reached Monday (Tehran time) during the meeting between Iran’s Central Bank Gov. Abdolnaser Hemmati and South Korean Ambassador to Iran Ryu Jeong-hyun.

It said that the two sides agreed on the destinations for the transfer and that the Iranian central bank informed Seoul of the amount of the money it wants to be transferred.

Tehran has been pressuring Seoul to unblock about US$7 billion of its assets frozen in two South Korean banks due to U.S. sanctions. Seoul has been in talks with Washington on ways to release the money without violating the sanctions, including expanding humanitarian trade with the Middle Eastern country.

“Our government has been in talks with Iran about ways to use the frozen assets, and the Iran side has expressed its consent to the proposals we have made,” the foreign ministry said without providing further details of the proposals.

“The actual unfreezing of the assets will be carried out through consultations with related countries, including the United States,” the ministry said.

Earlier this month, a foreign ministry official said Seoul was finalizing talks with Washington about using some of the frozen funds to pay Tehran’s U.N. dues in arrears, to which the Islamic republic has also agreed.

Despite the denial from Seoul and Tehran, speculation has mounted that Iran’s discontent over the frozen funds is related to its recent seizure of a South Korean oil tanker and its crew members in the Persian Gulf early last month….

Biden Cripples Immigration Law Enforcement: When Executive Orders handcuff agents – and set law violators free.

On February 18, 2021 the Washington Post reported, Biden memo for ICE officers points to fewer deportations and strict oversight.

Here is how that news report began:

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers will need preapproval from a senior manager before trying to deport anyone who is not a recent border crosser, a national security threat or a criminal offender with an aggravated-felony conviction, according to interim enforcement memo issued by the Biden administration Thursday.

The narrower priorities are expected to result in a steep drop in immigration arrests and deportations. Biden officials said the new guidelines — which will be in effect for the next 90 days — will allow the agency to make better use of its resources while prioritizing public safety threats.

Having spent 26 years as an INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service) special agent provides me with a unique perspective that I have provided at numerous congressional hearings and when I provided testimony to the 9/11 Commission.

As I read Biden’s Executive Orders and the various proposals for immigration law changes and massive amnesty programs, I am disheartened and frustrated.  What was the point to the hearings and the 9/11 Commission when the President promulgates policies that not only ignore the 9/11 Commission but actually take America in precisely the opposite direction from where we should be going?

With the stroke of his pen, and without legislation, Biden has profoundly undermined immigration law enforcement.

The DHS (Department of Homeland Security) was created in the wake of the 9/11 terror attacks.  The INS which had been under the Justice Department was replaced by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and moved into the DHS.  ICE agents have the same lawful authority to enforce and administer the Immigration and Nationality Act as did agents of the INS and are important elements of what is referred to as the “Interior enforcement” of our immigration laws.

Under the law such agents are empowered to make warrantless arrests of aliens who are illegally present in the United States.  This is important to back up the efforts by the Border Patrol to prevent the un-inspected entry of aliens into the United States and the CBP (Customs and Border Protection) inspectors at ports of entry who admit aliens under various categories of visas.

Any alien who runs the border or violates the terms of his/her entry into the United States should not ever feel confident that they will not be discovered and arrested.  This is important to not only address alien law violators who are present in the United States but to deter foreign nationals who may seek to enter the United States illegally or otherwise violate our immigration laws.

This contributes to the integrity and credibility of our immigration laws and, indeed, all of our laws in general.  It has been said that you only get one opportunity to make a first impression.  Generally the first laws alien encounter are our immigration laws.  How we enforce those important laws sets the tone for all that follows.

Aliens who illegally take jobs are subject to deportation.  This is to protect the jobs and wages of American and lawful immigrant workers and is of particular importance during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Biden’s Executive Order, stripping ICE agents of discretionary authority to arrest illegal aliens they encounter sends a dangerous message to aspiring illegal aliens from around the world- that in America violations of our laws will not only be tolerated, but rewarded!

Preventing ICE agents from arresting aliens who are not “recent border crossers” is absurd.  No record of entry is created when aliens enter the United States without inspection.  From a practical standpoint, any illegal alien can now avoid arrest by lying about when he/she ran the border.

ICE agents would find it virtually impossible to refute such false claims as to the date the alien entered the United States.

The interior enforcement of our immigration laws and immigration fraud were identified by the 9/11 Commission as key issues and, in point of fact, The 9/11 Commission Staff Report on Terrorist Travel addressed these issues.

Page 54 contained this excerpt under the title 3.2 Terrorist Travel Tactics by Plot.”

Although there is evidence that some land and sea border entries (of terrorists) without inspection occurred, these conspirators mainly subverted the legal entry system by entering at airports.

In doing so, they relied on a wide variety of fraudulent documents, on aliases, and on government corruption. Because terrorist operations were not suicide missions in the early to mid-1990s, once in the United States terrorists and their supporters tried to get legal immigration status that would permit them to remain here, primarily by committing serial, or repeated, immigration fraud, by claiming political asylum, and by marrying Americans. Many of these tactics would remain largely unchanged and undetected throughout the 1990s and up to the 9/11 attack.

Thus, abuse of the immigration system and a lack of interior immigration enforcement were unwittingly working together to support terrorist activity. It would remain largely unknown, since no agency of the United States government analyzed terrorist travel patterns until after 9/11. This lack of attention meant that critical opportunities to disrupt terrorist travel and, therefore, deadly terrorist operations were missed.

While I agree that law enforcement has to prioritize actions which get the “most bang for the buck” through the creation of a sort of triage system where violent criminals should be the focus, it is wrongheaded and dangerous to ignore aliens who are not “aggravated felons.”

It is also wrong and dangerous to require ICE agents to provide information to local law enforcement about impending arrests since this presents a potential security problem, especially in “Sanctuary” jurisdictions.

Sleeper agents are foreign terrorists who are careful to not attract anyone’s attention. It has been said that effective spies would not attract the attention of a waiter or waitress as a “greasy spoon diner.”  International terrorists operate in the exact same manner, and, in point of fact spies and terrorists may well work as waiters or waitresses as they go about their deadly and nefarious goals.

Therefore there is no such thing as a “minor case.”

My very first fraud investigation, as a brand-new agent, caused me to trip over a terror plot in Israel.  A young man from Israel arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport in the summer of 1976.  He had apparently altered his visa by chaining the date of expiration and the fact that he had already used that visa to enter the U.S. the previous year.  (The visa was valid for one entry and he had changed the number “one” to the number “two.”)   I was instructed to take a statement from him, if he was willing to cooperate.  This was supposed to be more of a training exercise for me.  He was going to be sent back to Israel, no matter what he might have to say.

Because of his recalcitrance to answer certain questions, I called the Israeli consulate in New York and they sent over several security officials to interview him.

During the course of interviewing him I found that his shirt did not fit properly.  I had him remove his shirt and was surprised to find that a pocket was sown into the inside of his shirt.  The pocket contained a piece of paper with an ink-drawn schematic diagram and Arabic writing.  I handed it over to the Israelis and we were all shocked that the diagram was of an oil refinery in Israel.  He was, we later found out, here to get the money to buy explosives to be used in a terror attack.

My superiors notified the FBI and working with the Israeli National Police six would-be co-conspirators were arrested in Israel just days before the attack was to have been carried out.

Another memorable case involved an alien working in a glass factory in Brooklyn.  He claimed to have been a naturalized citizen.  His story, however, did not add up.  He lied about his name and other facts.  As it turned out, he had been convicted of a homicide years earlier, served time in jail and was then deported back to his native Belize.  He was arrested when he reentered the United States without permission and was serving a prison sentence in a federal penitentiary for the crime of Reentry After Deportation (8 U.S. Code § 1326) when he escaped from the prison.  He took a job in that factory where we found him.  His boss, the factory’s owner, was shocked; he told me that he actually trusted him to lock up the factory the night when he had to leave early and had invited him to his home for dinner.

Rather than deterring violations of our nation’s immigration laws by aliens, which constitute our first and last line of defense, Biden has singled-handedly deterred the enforcement of those vital laws by dedicated ICE agents.

There is an expression used by agents that is worth considering:  “Big cases- big problems, little cases- little problems, no cases- NO PROBLEMS!”

It would appear that a new version of the “Miranda Warning” should be given to ICE agents warning them that anything that they do may be used against them!

When it comes to China, Joe Biden is Relativist-in-Chief

These days, the Holocaust is compared to anything, and Jews frequently resent it. They are right to feel offended. When you compare the systematic killing of six million human beings with, say, imposing economic sanctions on a corrupt South American dictator, we have a problem. And, that problem is the trivialization of the Holocaust.

But, that does not mean that the Holocaust is the only genocide that has ever taken place. In the 20th Century, other such tragedies have happened. And yet, just as there are Holocaust deniers, there are also deniers of those other genocides. For example, renowned American scholar Noam Chomsky has come very close to denying the Cambodian genocide of the 1970s. As scholars typically do, Chomsky has always been extremely careful in choosing his words, so as to avoid the label of genocide-denier. But, effectively, he does seem to believe that most accusations against the perpetrators of that genocide (the Khmer Rouge) rely on fabricated evidence.

Unlike Chomsky, other genocide deniers do not mince words. For example, Turkey’s strongman Tayyip Recep Erdogan has repeatedly insisted that the Armenian genocide never took place. Astonishingly, President Obama followed suit making similar allegations, thus projecting a huge shadow of doubt over his Nobel Peace Prize.

Currently, a new genocide is taking place. More than one million Uighurs are being in concentration camps in China without any legal process, in an attempt to forcefully assimilate them into Chinese culture. As you would expect, China denies such allegations and diverts attention from them by focusing on the murder of George Floyd.

What is somewhat unexpected, however, is that some leaders of the West are complacent about China’s attitudes. For example, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently said that the international community “takes very seriously the label of ‘genocide’ and needs to ensure that when it is used, it is clearly and properly justified and demonstrated, so as not to weaken the application of ‘genocide’ in situations in the past.” With this argument, he refused to acknowledge the Uighur genocide.

Trudeau is correct about the need not to trivialize the word “genocide”. But, what more proof does he want of the atrocities that Uyghurs are undergoing? The evidence is overwhelming and yet he refuses to call a spade a spade. Trudeau has simply become China’s stooge.

Even more surprisingly, US President Joe Biden recently said that “the central principle of Xi Jinping is that there must be a united, tightly controlled China… I am not going to speak out against what he is doing in Hong Kong, with Uyghurs in the mountains of Western China, Taiwan and the One-China policy… he gets it, culturally, there are different norms in each country, and their leaders are expected to follow.”

By arguing that each country has its own rules and foreign leaders should not speak out against them, Biden engages in pure and undiluted relativism, the same sort of approach that justifies horrendous things such as Aztec human sacrifice or female genital mutilation. When Benedict XVI was elected Pope in 2005, his very first public speech warned about the dangers of the “dictatorship of relativism”. At the time, he was perceived by many to be out of touch; his tirade against the threat of relativism was viewed as the ramblings of a paranoid old man.

And yet time has proven Pope Benedict XVI right. In fact, relativism has always been rampant in academia. As early as 1987, Allan Bloom was making that point in his devastating critique of American youth and universities, The Closing of the American Mind: “The students’ backgrounds are as various as America can provide. Some are religious, some atheists; some are to the Left, some to the Right; some intend to be scientists, some humanists or professionals or businessmen; some are poor, some rich. They are unified only in their relativism and in their allegiance to equality. And the two are related in a moral intention.”

So prevalent is relativism amongst students, that the trope of the “freshman relativist” is well-known to professors of ethics. Fortunately, by the time they are out of college, most people begin to grow out of this worldview, and begin to understand that there are universal values that must be defended. But we have a problem when a 78-year old man thinks like a college freshman and spouts relativist dogmas. This is made even worse when this man becomes the leader of the so-called “free world” (which will hardly continue to be free if such a mentality persists).

If the relativist-in-chief continues to play by the Chinese book, there is little hope for Uyghur justice. After the Holocaust, the world made a commitment to “Never Again”. That commitment failed in Cambodia, Bosnia and Rwanda. President Biden still has time to save his honor, and confront Chinese atrocities against Uighurs. But, in order to do that, he must begin by getting rid of the great cultural malaise that lies at the heart of much genocidal complicity: relativism.

VIDEO: Is Biden Going Soft on China?

The first few weeks of Biden’s presidency has seen the rollback of several Trump-era policies that put pressure on China. But while Chinese leaders may feel relieved, the United States has received nothing in return for the gradual easing of tensions.

President Biden consistently refers to China as a “competitor.” This language is quite a bit softer than former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s labeling of the Chinese Communist Party as “the central threat of our times.” Gordon Chang notes that it is difficult to compete when we know our competitor is cheating. When President Biden talks about competing with China on technological advancements, “That sounds fine, but China steals somewhere in the neighborhood of $500 billion worth of U.S. IP each year,” Chang said on Washington Watch. China’s persistent theft of intellectual property makes it impossible to compete fairly with.

Several of President Biden’s early executive orders have directly benefitted China, while exposing Americans to risk. Chang cites several concerning examples. “President Trump, with an executive order, barred China from supplying equipment to our electricity grid. In other words, that prevents China from committing sabotage. And that’s not a theoretical concern when it comes to the grid. Yet Biden, in an executive order, repealed that Trump era protection.”

President Biden has also failed to take the spread of Chinese propaganda on America’s college campuses seriously. There are around 60 Confucius Institutes still operating in American colleges, and though they purport to simply teach Chinese language and culture, they are not to be taken lightly. Chang points out that Confucius Institutes are “run by the Communist Party’s United Front Work Department, which is this part of the Communist Party which tries to subvert foreign countries. So really what we’ve got here is propaganda on our campuses.” The U.S. does not develop propaganda programs in Chinese colleges, so why should we let them do so here?

The day before the Trump administration left office, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo took perhaps the administration’s most significance stand against China by officially calling the Chinese’s government abuses of Uyghur Muslims genocide. Secretary of State Antony Blinken initially affirmed Pompeo’s finding that the Chinese government was committing genocide in Xinjiang. However, we have yet to see the administration indicate it has plans to do anything about it. Chang says, “when you talk about genocide, we’ve got to remember that the U.S. is a party to the Genocide Convention of 1948, which requires every country to stop genocide. And I don’t hear any of that language from the Biden team so far.”

Genocides always loom large in history. If the administration does not consider China’s genocide to be a priority now, future history texts books will ask why. In America’s dealings with China, history will remember how the Biden administration reacted to China’s heinous human rights abuses.

Ultimately, the threat that China poses to the free world makes it more than a competitor. As the world’s second most powerful country, China has been flexing its diplomatic and political muscles at the United Nations and the World Health Organization to the detriment of democratic societies. The Chinese government is guilty of an ongoing genocide of a religious and ethnic minority. Not to mention China’s imprisonment of political dissidents, crackdown on churches, and mass surveillance of its people.

As China grows more powerful, it has the capacity to compel others to do what it wants. That is worrying not because China is a competitor, but because the Chinese government has no respect for democracy, rule of law, or basic human rights. Smaller countries with less resources struggle to stand up to China. If the United States does not lead the way in doing so, no one will.

Biden’s CIA Pick Was President Of Think Tank That Took Millions From Chinese Communist Party-Tied Entities: Report

By  Ryan Saavedra • Feb 8, 2021 • DailyWire.com:

President Joe Biden’s nominee to be the next director of the CIA, William Burns, was the president of a think tank that reportedly took millions of dollars from entities linked to the Chinese Communist Party.

“As president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Burns also invited nearly a dozen congressional staffers to attend a junket to China, where they met with a communist party operative and a president of a Chinese front group,” The Daily Caller News Foundation reported. “Burns, who was paid $540,580 last year as president of Carnegie, will appear before the Senate Intelligence Committee for a confirmation hearing likely to be held this month.”

Burns, who has been president of the think tank for nearly six years, welcomed Chinese businessman Zhang Yichen, CEO of CITIC Consulting, to the think tank’s board of trustees, saying that they were “very fortunate” to have him. The report said that Zhang donated between $500,000 and $999,999 to the think tank over a one-year span between 2017 and 2018 and gave an additional $250,000 and $549,999 to the think tank in the last fiscal year.

“Zhang is a member of two organizations linked to the Chinese Communist Party, according to his biography at CITIC Capital: the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the Center for China and Globalization,” the report said. “CPPCC is an advisory group for the Chinese Communist Party that is affiliated with China’s united front system, which promotes Chinese government initiatives abroad.”

The think tank also received funding from the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF), a Hong Kong-based think tank that has reportedly come under scrutiny in recent years over its ties to China’s communist government.

“CUSEF donated between $100,000 and $249,999 to Carnegie in 2015 and the same amount between July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2017, according to archived versions of Carnegie’s donor page,” the report said. “According to the Jamestown Foundation, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank led by retired U.S. intelligence officials, CUSEF is ‘a major player in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s organizational apparatus for conducting united front work in the United States.””

The news comes as the Biden administration has faced mounting pressure over whether it will confront communist China over a wide range of issues. Biden has repeatedly downplayed the threat the China poses to the United States and even repeatedly refused to call China an “opponent” during an appearance on CNN last year.

During an interview that aired in-part on Sunday, Biden praised Chinese President Xi Jinping, saying that he was “very bright.”

“He’s very tough. He doesn’t have – and I don’t mean it as a criticism, just the reality, he doesn’t have a democratic, small-D, bone in his body,” Biden said. “But … the question is, I’ve said to him all along, that we need not have a conflict.”

Biden Quietly Revokes Trump’s Ban On Chinese Communist Propaganda In Schools.

By: The National Pulse, February 8, 2021:

President Biden quietly revoked a Trump-era policy that compelled primary, secondary, and post-secondary institutions to disclose their relationships with Chinese Communist Party-funded Confucius Institutes.

The policy – “Establishing Requirement for Student and Exchange Visitor Program Certified Schools to Disclose Agreements with Confucius Institutes and Classrooms” – was proposed on December 31st, 2020.

“The rule would require colleges and K-12 schools that are certified to have foreign exchange programs to disclose any contracts, partnerships, or financial transactions from Confucius Institutes or Classrooms (the Confucius Institute offshoot for primary and secondary schools),” Axios noted.

And the Trump administration’s proposals were well-warranted: the well-funded, controversial operations disguise themselves as language and culture initiative despite being replete with “undisclosed ties to Chinese institutions, and conflicted loyalties,” Chinese state propaganda, and intellectual property theft, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).

Records from the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, however, reveal that Biden nixed the policy on January 26 – less than a week into his White House tenure.

“A spokesperson for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed that the policy was rescinded,” Campus Reform noted.

VIDEO: Biden Kicked 5,000 National Guard Troops out of Senate cafeteria and put them in a Parking Garage! They are PISSED!

As a combat veteran, I am outraged that any president would treat our soldiers with such disrespect.

Joe Biden wanted Washington, D.C. to become an armed camp for his inauguration by having an estimated 26,00 National Guard troops on hand. Then he treats them like dirt, second class citizens by housing them in a parking garage? No beds, only one bathroom, on a freezing night with no heat and no power outlets.
I wouldn’t treat my worst enemies like this. But wait, Biden probably considers these soldiers as his enemies?
Biden had the FBI vet them for their political beliefs.
WASHINGTON (AP) – FBI vetting Guard troops in DC amid fears of insider attack

U.S. defense officials say they are worried about an insider attack or other threat from service members involved in securing President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration, prompting the FBI to vet all of the 25,000 National Guard troops coming into Washington for the event.

What Biden’s Immigration Policies Would Do To America — America’s adversaries can’t wait for this massive betrayal.

Not unlike Donald Trump, during the Presidential campaign, Joe Biden turned immigration into a major issue.  However, unlike President Trump who promised to secure our nation’s borders against illegal entry and ramp up immigration law enforcement to protect innocent people from  criminal aliens and international terrorists, Joe Biden has promised to do the polar opposite within the first 100 days of taking office- but no one is questioning why he would do this or how this would be beneficial to America or Americans.
On January 16, 2021 the American Thinker published an important article, Joe Biden’s big amnesty plan stuns even the open-borders activists for its ‘boldness’ and ‘ambition’ that addressed many of the reasons why Biden’s plan to provide lawful status and pathways to citizenship for what has been estimated to be a  population of 11 million illegal aliens.
As disconcerting as all of the issues raised in the American Thinker article are, the article fails to make several other points that must be considered.
First of all, the number of 11 million is far, far smaller than would be the actual number of aliens who would benefit from such a massive amnesty program.
My earlier article, Biden’s ‘Build Back Better’ is Bunk included this excerpt:
Comprehensive Immigration Reform Should be Renamed the Overwhelm America Act” in which I noted that on September 21, 2018 Yale University reported Yale Study Finds Twice as Many Undocumented Immigrants as Previous Estimates.  That report, published just over two years ago noted:
Using mathematical modeling on a range of demographic and immigration operations data, the researchers estimate there are 22.1 million undocumented immigrants in the United States.
It is likely that the actual number of illegal aliens currently present in the United States is significantly higher than the Yale study’s 22.1 million.  Furthermore with extravagant promises being made to illegal aliens by the incoming Biden administration, that includes a virtual end to immigration law enforcement, the floodgates will be flung open and God knows how many more millions of illegal aliens will stream across our borders.
When dealing with the number of illegal aliens who would be rewarded for violating our borders and our laws, virtually all estimates ignore the biggest factor- all legalized aliens would have the immediate and absolute right to have their spouses and every one of their minor children be lawfully admitted to join them permanently in the United States.
If, for example each illegal alien has, on average four minor children, a wildly optimistic estimate, and if 25 million illegal aliens apply for lawful status, more than 100 million immigrants who are not yet here would be permitted to enter the United States!
Imagine the impact and consequences of the massive influx of immigrants would have on our economy, on critical infrastructure, on inflation as 100 million new immigrants need such basics as food, clothing and housing.
These children would be enrolled in our already crumbling schools systems and the majority would likely not be proficient in the English language.
Today because of the COVID-19 pandemic many hospitals around the United States are overwhelmed.  Imagine the impact on our already overwhelmed healthcare system that would result from adding tens of millions of more immigrants to our population.
There would be no way for USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) to interview tens of millions of immigrants and absolutely no way to conduct field investigations.
Adding to this is the Biden administration’s pick for the pivotal position of Director of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas who had been a high-rating official at DHS during the Obama administration.  He had been investigated by the Office of Inspector General for improperly approving applications for EB-5 visas because of apparent political purposes.  He was also notorious for ordering the approval of applications for a wide variety fo applications for immigration benefits at USCIS ordering that these hapless adjudications officers “Get to yes!”
I wrote about the malfeasance of Mr. Mayorkas in my article,  Biden’s DHS: Department of Homeland Surrender.
Here is an excerpt from that article:

On March 24, 2015 ABC News reported, Top Homeland Official Alejandro Mayorkas Accused of Political Favoritism Alejandro Mayorkas oversaw controversial $500,000 visa program.
The above-noted report was preceded by two ABC News reports that were published on February 3, 2015 which illustrate a clear nexus between these visas and national security

It is irrefutable that Biden’s massive amnesty program for tens of millions of illegal aliens would have catastrophic and irrevocable implications for national security and that the appointment of Mayorkas would exacerbate this threat to our nation.
To amplify this point, consider this unequivocal statement from the report that was prepared by the 9/11 Commission staff, 9/11 and Terrorist Travel that incorporated specific examples of the way that the World Trade Center was bombed in 1993 that killed six and injured more than one thousand victims.

Once terrorists had entered the United States, their next challenge was to find a way to remain here. Their primary method was immigration fraud. For example, Yousef and Ajaj concocted bogus political asylum stories when they arrived in the United States. Mahmoud Abouhalima, involved in both the World Trade Center and landmarks plots, received temporary residence under the Seasonal Agricultural Workers (SAW) program, after falsely claiming that he picked beans in Florida.” Mohammed Salameh, who rented the truck used in the bombing, overstayed his tourist visa. He then applied for permanent residency under the agricultural workers program, but was rejected. Eyad Mahmoud Ismail, who drove the van containing the bomb, took English-language classes at Wichita State University in Kansas on a student visa; after he dropped out, he remained in the United States out of status.

The Britannica website furnished additional information about the World Trade Center bombing of 1993.
On December 26, 2020 Reuters reported, China to leapfrog U.S. as world’s biggest economy by 2028: think tank.
This is how this ominous report from Reuters began:

LONDON (Reuters) – China will overtake the United States to become the world’s biggest economy in 2028, five years earlier than previously estimated due to the contrasting recoveries of the two countries from the COVID-19 pandemic, a think tank said.
“For some time, an overarching theme of global economics has been the economic and soft power struggle between the United States and China,” the Centre for Economics and Business Research said in an annual report published on Saturday.

That assessment did not include the impact that a massive onslaught of immigrants would have on the U.S. economy.  It must be presumed that the Biden Administration’s immigration policies would hasten the day when the economy of China would surpass that of the United States.
Undoubtedly the leaders of the communist regime in China would be delighted if Mr. Biden gets his way, as would the leaders of Russia, Iran, North Korea and other adversaries of the United States.
The one question that should be asked by the reporters who will cover the White House once Joe Biden is sworn in is, “Why, why would you do this to America and Americans?”
Given the state of politics and supposed journalism today, I am not holding my breath to hear that question being asked of Joe Biden or his Presidential heir apparent, Kamala Harris.

Iran Overplays Its Hand

It is still unclear what the Biden Administration will do about the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran. Biden has at times expressed a willingness to rejoin the JCPOA, without any change to the agreement, and at other times, he has suggested that he would join the deal only if it were modified to include limits on Iran’s development of ballistic missiles and its regional aggression, through a network of proxies and allies — from the Houthis in Yemen, to Kata’ib Hezbollah in Iraq, to the Alawite-led army In Syria, to Hezbollah in Lebanon – to create a “Shi’a crescent” from the Gulf to the Mediterranean. Now Iran, has apparently given Washington a deadline to rejoin the 2015 nuclear deal. In so doing, it appears to have overplayed its hand.
The latest report, on the time table that Iran now demands be met by Washington, is here: “Will Iran overplaying its hand force Biden to call its bluff – analysis,” by Yonah Jeremy Bob, Jerusalem Post, January 14, 2021:

Israel and Iran have both been maneuvering to influence the incoming Biden administration regarding the nuclear standoff. But only the Islamic Republic has given a deadline.
Iran has said that if sanctions are not dropped by February 21 it would kick out IAEA inspectors, a most dramatic nuclear violation since it would make it impossible for the world to follow the status of its nuclear program, absent clandestine efforts.

Iran has thus given Biden exactly one month to remove the sanctions that the Trump Administration had placed on it; otherwise, Iran will expel the IAEA nuclear inspectors, leaving it able, without that monitoring, to go for broke on its nuclear program.

Along with Tehran’s recent jump-starting the enrichment of its uranium to the 20% level, this could signal to Israel, moderate Sunni states and even the West that the ayatollahs are moving toward a nuclear weapon. Iran also demanded this week the dropping of the 2015 deal’s snapback sanctions mechanism.

Given that Iran has violated many parts of the 2015 deal, one wonders why the Biden Administration thinks that this time will be different, and if the Americans lift the sanctions, Tehran will now adhere scrupulously to the agreement, which it has never done in the past.

Though the incoming Biden administration has signaled that it wants to rejoin the 2015 nuclear deal and roll back sanctions, there is no way sanctions can be removed in the administration’s first month in office.
Even if it wanted to roll back the sanctions in only 30 days, there is a complex sanctions machinery that may take longer to remove. Moreover, Joe Biden has made it clear that his first priority is the coronavirus pandemic, followed by addressing other domestic priorities, including the fallout from the rioters’ attacks on the Capitol, racial justice issues, and the environment.
In foreign policy, his first priorities are dealing with China and Russia. Biden will not want to waste significant political capital in the first stage of his presidency looking too weak on Iran, even if his general goal is to rejoin the deal. Moreover, having a Democratic majority in the US Senate does not mean that he will avoid a vote against a quick rejoining of the Iran deal, given that some Democrats oppose rejoining….

In insisting that sanctions be lifted by one month after Biden’s inauguration, the Iranians have made an error: they assume that the Biden Administration regards its relations with Iran as the most important issue, the very first thing, it needs to address. But the Biden Administration is of a different opinion: there are many other matters that it believes must be deal with first. The Administration has clearly spoken about those other priorities; they’ve been published in the press. One begins to wonder: don’t the Iranians read our papers? If so, they would discover that even those in the administration who might most favor lifting the sanctions know that it can’t possibly happen during that first month .It is going to happen only after a long political fight; Biden will not want to use up capital on Iran relations that he might want to save for other battles. Biden has listed his other, much more important priorities during his first months n office. First, there is the conronavirus pandemic, and his stated determination to “vaccinate 100 million Americans in the first 100 days.” That will be a complicated effort, involving both logistics and psychology – convincing millions of anti-vaxxers that the vaccines are safe — that will require a great deal of his administration’s attention. And assuming that initial goal is met, Biden will need to continue the breakneck pace of the vaccination effort, to have another 210 million Americans (20 million will have been vaccinated before January 20) vaccinated before the end of 2021.
Then there are the other issues Biden and Harris have promised to immediately address, including racial justice (one wonders just what that means, in the current heated environment) and police reform. And for the Administration the most important issue, over the long term, is climate change. Biden has said he wants to rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement. But there are many related undertakings that will occupy his administration in its first months. These include providing tax credits to encourage people to buy electric vehicles, and allocating the billions necessary to build out a national network of roadside recharging stations. It will also include greatly increasing residential and commercial use of solar energy through tax credits, and halting oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). It will no doubt pain Tehran to realize that the Biden administration has many other matters on its To-Do List before reaching “Iran, Sanctions and Paris Deal.”
Another consideration for the Biden administration is that it cannot be seen to yielding to an ultimatum from Iran (“ lift those sanctions by Feb. 21 or we kick out all the IAEA inspectors at once”); it would make Biden look weak. That’s a perception he cannot afford. The Islamic Republic believes it was successful using brinkmanship to corner the Obama administration into dropping certain issues. It appears that the ayatollahs have seized on the multiple statements by incoming Biden administration officials of their desire to rejoin the deal in order to make additional demands. Of course, it is possible that this could work, and Biden could announce in principle his rejoining of the deal by February 21, with actual sanctions relief applied afterward.
While his domestic agenda – his To-Do List – will keep Biden from dealing with Iran’s demands in the first few months of his administration, the Islamic Republic itself will also need time – three to four months – to fullfil its part of a possible bargain, by undoing all of its violations of the Paris deal, including giving up the stocks of uranium it has enriched, to a level of 20%, well beyond what the JCPOA permits. How long will it take Iran to gather that uranium and ship it out of the country to the IAEA headquarters?
The Iranians have badly misplayed their hand. Above all there is: the coronavirus vaccine rollout, which will be the main focus for many months, followed by attempts to “deal with police reform and “racial justice” measures, and — what is likely for the Bidenites to be the most important task of all — passing  environmental legislation. After the country returns to the Paris Agreement on climate, legislative battles will follow, as the Administration tries to meet its commitments under that agreement to lessen its dependence on fossil fuels and to encourage the transition to renewables. The Administration will push for a massive increase, through tax credits, in the use of electric vehicles, and will also push for a government-funded national network of charging stations along our highways. The government can similarly promote – with subsidies or tax credits—a great increase in the use of residential and commercial solar energy. Only then will the Biden administration turn its attention to what deal with Iran it may be willing to consider, and according to its own timetable, rather than to an Iranian ultimatum. I suspect that Iran will be in for a shock; members of Biden’s national security team have been discussing modifications — concerning ballistic missiles and Iran’s regional aggression — they now want to have included in a Paris Deal 2.0.
What should Iran have done? Had it understood Biden’s fear of appearing weak, it would never have issued an ultimatum. Instead, it could have said, striking a conciliatory note, that it “welcomes a more reasonable administration in Washington, has high hopes of collaborating with Washington and other members of the JCPOA, and is prepared, without delay, to immediately renew its full cooperation with the IAEA’s inspectors, just as soon as American sanctions are lifted.”
That’s all lies, of course: Iran will continue to violate its solemn commitments under the Paris Agreement.. It will continue to enrich uranium to a level beyond what was agreed, will continue to work on the nuclear facilities inside a mountain at Fordo, will continue to mislead inspectors about other nuclear sites it still has not revealed. It’s Iran’s modus operandi; it was only thanks to Mosssad’s seizure of Iran’s nuclear archive in 2018 that the world learned of several nuclear sites that Iran had kept secret from inspectors. Why wouldn’t it continue the same kinds of deceptions it had practiced before?
Not only will the new administration not be willing, nor able, to meet Iran’s February 21 deadline, but this display of attempted bullying by Iran will strengthen the hand of those in the Administration who want the sanctions lifted only after Iran has agreed to a more comprehensive treaty, one that includes, as mentioned above, limits on ballistic missiles, and curbs on Iran’s regional aggression, through Shi’a proxies and allies in Yemen, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. Iran will be chagrinned, disabused, angry, when it had been expecting a very different result, but in the end, it will have to give in, if it ever hopes to emerge from its current economic collapse.

China’s Security Chief Optimistic Defeating the USA

With Beijing Biden and the stolen election they already have.

The CCP knows that any country that would install Beijing Biden in the White House, seeks to silence the 74+ million people who voted for Trump, demonize Trump after he did so much for all Americans before the CCP virus was unleashed on the world and shut down entire economies (except for the politically protected corporations), ignore blatant election fraud, and coerce Republican politicians into kowtowing to the Democrat Party has shown its weakness, corruption, decadence, and lessened will to keep America as the top superpower in the world. The CCP has spent decades buying American politicians, Fake News Media members, government bureaucrats, academics, scientists, and Big Tech. They are on the cusp of succeeding in bringing America to her knees. These greedy traitors who colluded with them don’t even realize that if the CCP prevails, they would be among the first to be put away because the CCP knows if they betray their own country, they will be an impediment to the hegemony of the CCP. Despotic regimes always do away with the now-useless idiots who helped them achieve their conquest. Canada has already allowed the Chinese military in their country. This is a very dangerous path. An immediate military Tribunal is the only path to save America. President Trump is aware of that. *** Amil Imani

China’s security chief optimistic about winning ‘protracted war’ with US

by Joel Gehrke, Foreign Affairs Reporter |
| January 15, 2021 06:20 PM
Chinese officials are optimistic about winning a geopolitical competition with the United States due to the perceived “decline of the West,” according to the boasts of a top Chinese Communist security chief.
“The rise of the East and the decline of the West has become [a global] trend, and changes of the international landscape are in our favor,” Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission chief Chen Yixin told colleagues, per a South China Morning Post translation. “The U.S. suppression [of us] is a major threat, but [our struggle with the US] is both a skirmish and a protracted war.”
American and Chinese officials have moved into open rivalry in recent years after U.S. intelligence officials concluded that Beijing has been “waging … a cold war” against the U.S. Those tensions have underpinned a yearlong controversy over China’s censorship of information about the coronavirus pandemic, as well as disputes over Beijing’s crackdown on Hong Kong and high-stakes debates over whether American allies can rely on Chinese state-backed tech companies.
“The coronavirus pandemic is a major test, but [we should] rise to the challenge of this crisis and turn threats into opportunities,” Chen said.
Success or failure in key arenas of the competition, such as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s campaign to thwart state-backed Huawei’s bids to build fifth-generation wireless technology networks around the world, depends on European allies. Their confidence in the U.S. could be shaken by the attack on the U.S. Capitol and President Trump’s success in convincing supporters that the 2020 presidential election was rigged, despite his failure to prove that case in courts across the country, according to a prominent Senate Democrat.
“The Republican Party will have something to say about this because European nations will sort of hedge their bets on getting in too deep with America, if they think that Donald Trump is coming back four years from now or Donald Trump Jr. is coming back four years from now,” Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy, a member for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said during an Atlantic Council event Friday.
Murphy, a Democrat, said that he has advised Secretary of State-designate Antony Blinken to draft the Republican lawmakers who accepted the election results into a diplomatic initiative.
“I think he should deploy Republicans and Democrats in the Senate who voted to certify the elections, who have condemned those that tried to undermine democracy, and send us out around the world to try to tell the story of how we overcame this moment,” he said. “This transition, as messy as it will be, will still be a transition, and that, in the end, is, again, still a miracle of American democracy.”
Chinese officials, for their part, have pointed to the crisis at the U.S. Capitol to justify their crackdown on Hong Kong dissidents who protested Beijing’s plans to undercut the rule of law in the former British colony.
“While the society is stable overall, there are still many risks, and hidden dangers … intertwine, resulting in a wide range of public security risks,” said Chen, the security chief. “Security is the cornerstone of development … Without security, we cannot achieve anything.”
